Saw an Anastasia Jegulus edit so had thoughts:
Jegulus Anastasia where 10 year old Regulus doesn’t remember who he is and is separated from Sirius for a decade after the rest of their family gets assassinated (while the boys are trying to flee with their Uncle Alphard to Paris). He grows up in an orphanage surrounded by other children and learns quickly to be independent. Somehow his fingers still remember how to stroke piano keys beautifully, so he sits on a creaky old bench each morning to bring music to the bleak grey of the drafty orphanage walls.
James and Remus are drifters/con men doing tricks to get money for their next meal. Growing up together in a small village, they’re as thick as thieves when they move to the big city to try to start their lives. They want to leave and start a new adventure, but can’t afford to and they hear a rumor that the youngest Black son is still alive somewhere (there’s a generous reward for any that bring hope/information) and plan a con to trick Sirius with their own “Regulus Black” lookalike. (Or maybe James and Sirius were best friends in the palace where James’ mother worked and James is genuinely wanting to see his childhood friend again).
James runs (literally runs) into Reggie as he’s being chased by police for stealing a loaf of bread (gotta do what you gotta do) and he knocks him over and instantly falls hard when he meets light blue eyes and a scowl that has him scrambling up, pulling Regulus with him. Regulus doesn’t trust James (even though he wants to bc he feels oddly safe with him).
Adventure ensues and in the end Reggie & Sirius are reunited in Paris (cries into my pillow) after a decade and it’s a beautiful reunion. Sirius recognizes the melody Regulus plays on the piano (it’s one that their Uncle taught them as little boys) and he instantly knows it’s his baby brother. Also obviously has Wolfstar heheh but I haven’t thought that far but maybe a bit of enemies to lovers Wolfstar bc Remus can’t stand Sirius the first time he meets him (thinks he’s a snob and this spoiled rich boy)…idk HMMM
I might write it one day.

Our Last Summer (Part 1)
pairing: wolfstar (sirius x remus)
genre: fluff & angst
warnings: none
words: 2267
note: based on the song ‘Our Last Summer’ by ABBA
a/n: this isn’t the whole thing but I haven’t finished it yet and it’s getting really long anyway so I decided to just post it in parts (i know it says fluff & angst and there’s no angst here but be patient it will come)
I can still recall our last summer, I still see it all. Walks along the Seine laughing in the rain, our last summer, memories that remain… I can still recall our last summer, I still see it all. In the tourist jam round the Notre Dame our last summer walking hand in hand
Sirius woke up smiling. Remus’ arm was still draped over him. He turned around and kissed him on the nose.
“Hey,” he whispered. “Are you awake?”
“I am now,” Remus groans.
“Sorry.”
“No, don’t be,” Remus says, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. “I like waking up next to you.” Sirius’ smile widened.
“I like waking up next to you too,” he said. He kisses Remus softly before turning to grab his wand off his bedside table and Summoning two cups of tea. He hands one to Remus and then opens the drawer of his bedside table and pulls out a large packet of dark chocolate.
“Happy anniversary,” Sirius says, giving Remus the chocolate.
“Best present ever,” Remus says, taking a bite; Sirius can’t tell if he’s being sarcastic or not.
“The day is just beginning,” he says, sipping his tea.
“Really? So what do you have planned?”
“You’ll just have to wait and see,” Sirius says mysteriously.
---------
“No way,” Remus said, shaking his head. “There is no fucking way I’m getting on that death trap.”
“Yes you are,” Sirius said, taking his hand and pulling him closer to the motorcycle. “Come on, it’ll be fun.”
“No,” Remus said. “Why can’t we just Apparate? Or take a taxi?”
“What’s a taxi?” Sirius asked.
“I swear to god, I’ve already told you at least five times,” Remus says, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Well, it doesn’t matter because we’re riding my motorcycle,” Sirius said.
“Nope,” Remus said. “Not fucking happening.”
“Please,” Sirius pouted. “It’s not illegal, I have a license. And I promise I won’t fly. I’ll stay on the ground the whole time.” Remus still looked hesitant. “I even customised your helmet myself.” He pulled out a black helmet with ‘Moony’ written on the side in flaming block letters. It brought a little smile to Remus’ face.
“Ugh fine,” Remus said, rolling his eyes. “But this is a one-time thing.”
“Yeah, yeah, if you say so,” Sirius said. “Now come.” They climbed on the motorcycle and Remus wrapped his hands around Sirius’ waist. “Normally I would say hold on tight,” Sirius said, “but if you hold any tighter you might just squeeze me to death.”
“And if I don’t hold this tight I might just fall to my death,” Remus replied. “Now shut up and drive; I want to get this over with.”
And suddenly, they’re on the road and holy fuck Remus is terrified. He’s resting his head on Sirius’ shoulder watching the cars around them. He squints his eyes, trying to make everything appear blurry (hoping it’ll make this a little less terrifying) and yes, he’s afraid but he has to admit that the blur of lights from all the cars is actually quite beautiful. That is, until they climb on the highway and Sirius picks up the speed. Now it’s just terrifying. Remus closes his eyes and buries his head in the crook of Sirius’ neck. The smell of Sirius and the feel of his beating pulse calms Remus down a little. He knows Sirius wouldn’t suggest this if it was that dangerous; Sirius would never let anything bad happen to him.
Remus doesn’t open his eyes until he feels them slowing to a stop. When he does finally look around, he finds himself in the parking lot of what looks like a small park.
“Hey,” Sirius says, reaching a hand back and stroking Remus’ thigh. “Are you ok?”
“I’m alive, if that’s what you mean,” Remus says, letting go of Sirius so he can climb off the motorcycle. Sirius helps Remus down and takes his helmet.
“Come on, it wasn’t that bad, was it?”
“Yes, it was that fucking bad,” Remus says. “I’m never riding that thing again.”
“Hey, ‘that thing’ has a name, you know,” Sirius said, arms crossed.
“Right, sorry,” Remus said, rolling his eyes. “I’m never riding Elvendork again.”
“Wow, I can’t believe you actually remembered their name,” Sirius said, laughing.
“I can’t believe you actually named your motorcycle,” Remus said. “Now tell me what we’re doing here.”
“Come with me,” Sirius said, pulling him by the hand into the park.
“Where are we?” Remus asks, looking around.
“You’ll see,” Sirius said. He led Remus to the far end of the park where several bushes and trees made a hedge that seemed to show the end of the park. Sirius got on his hands and knees and pushed the plants out of his way as he crawled into the hedge.
“Are you serious right now?” Remus asked. As soon as the word was out of his mouth he regretted it.
“I’m always Sirius,” came the reply. “Now come on.” Remus sighed and crawled through the hedge. When he came out on the other side he saw Sirius sitting on the grass.
“What is this place?” Remus asked, looking around. If he was being honest, it looked like a little heaven. Everything was so green. The grass, the trees, the hedge they came through. It looked like something out of a painting. The colourful flowers from the trees littered the floor; Remus picked one up, walked over to Sirius and put it in his hair.
“I used to come here when I was a kid,” Sirius said, effectively surprising Remus. “I know hardly any of my stories start like that but when I was… 9, I think, my cousin Andromeda was 15. And one summer she came over to our house and she asked my parents if she could take me somewhere. I don’t know what lie she told them but whatever it was they bought it. She brought me here. She told me that a friend of hers at school had shown her this place. His dad was a park ranger and he used to come here all the time as a kid. It was just close enough to my house that we could walk here and we’d spend all day playing here. She even learnt how to use muggle money so she could buy us food.”
“The last time we did it was the year before I started Hogwarts. She was seventeen then. She showed me magic. It was incredible. She did all kinds of spells to make plants grow and stuff. It was awesome. I’d never seen magic so… raw before. It was beautiful. But then she ran away with Ted Tonks and got burnt off the tapestry so there was no way my parents would let me see her. But she wrote to me a few times to tell me to meet her here. That was how I met Ted for the first time. Turns out he was actually the one who showed Andie this place. And I met Nymphadora here as well. I used to come here alone sometimes too. I tried to bring Regulus with me once but he was scared we’d get caught. The only good memories from my childhood… they’re all from this place. I just wanted to show it to you. I mean, you took me to your childhood home but… I mean you’ve seen the Potters’ house a million times. But I guess I wasn’t really a child by the time I moved there. So I guess… I don’t know, I just wanted to share this with you.”
“Thank you,” Remus said, taking Sirius’ hand and pressing his lips to the back of his hand, “for bringing me here, I mean. This place is beautiful. Are you the only one who knows about it?”
“Oh, I doubt it,” Sirius said. “I mean, it’s not very visible but there’s no way that nobody else has ever found this place. But it was always empty whenever I came here. Which wasn’t that often I suppose.” Sirius flopped back onto the grass, dragging Remus with him. They lay on their backs looking at the sky, hands still clasped together.
“It looks like it’s going to rain,” Remus said. Sirius shrugged. It was true; the clouds had been dark all day and the smell of approaching downpour lingered in the air. But Sirius had been keeping his fingers crossed that the rain would wait until later tonight so that he could carry out his plans without any disruption.
“You hungry? We could go get some food if you want. There are muggle shops nearby. But you’ll have to handle the money cause I still have no clue how to do that.”
“Oh for fuck’s sake, if Andromeda could learn I’m sure you can too,” Remus said, as they left their little garden of Eden. “Come on, I’ll teach you.” They walked down the street looking for a coffee shop or a food vendor nearby. They found a bakery selling sandwiches so they bought two, Remus bought tea, Sirius bought coffee, and they returned to the hidden corner of the park.
“Do you get how to use the money now?” Remus asked as they walked back.
“You’ve taught me a million times, Moony, it never sticks,” Sirius said. “You just have to resign yourself to the fact that your boyfriend is a dumb bitch, no matter how hot he is.”
“Oh don’t worry, I accepted your lack of intelligence and general common sense a long time ago, Pads,” Remus said, putting an arm around Sirius as they sat back down on the grass, pulling the sandwiches out of the paper bag and laying everything out on the floor in front of them.
“No, no, you’ve got it wrong,” Sirius said, shaking his head. “I am intelligent but I’m still a dumb bitch too.”
“You’re saying you’re an oxymoron?”
“Wait, I never say I was a moron—”
“No, not a moron, an oxymoron.”
“What does that mean?” Sirius asked.
“It’s like something that juxtaposes itself,” Remus said.
“Juxta-what now?” Sirius said. Remus rolled his eyes.
“You need to read more. It’s something that contradicts itself. Phrases like awfully nice or saying that someone was found missing.”
“Oh,” Sirius said. “So yeah, that’s what I’m saying. You’re so smart, Moony. You know so many big words.”
“Literally just pick up a book,” Remus said, laughing and kissing him softly. “I promise, it’ll do you wonders.”
“Why do I doubt that?”
“Because you’re an idiot.”
“Oh we’ve circled back to that now, have we?”
---------
That was how they spent most of the day. Talking, laughing, joking, kissing, lying on the grass. It seemed like the day really was going to be perfect. Until it started raining. At first, the drops were light and they weren’t bothered by it, but soon the rain became heavy and loud and they were both getting soaked. Remus didn’t mind getting wet; he had bigger worries on his mind.
“We’re not riding a motorcycle in the rain, are we?” Remus asked, his concern leaking through his voice.
“We can wait for the rain to stop if you like,” Sirius said. “Hey, you know, it’s actually good that we came here on Elvendork because we can cut through the traffic on our way home.”
“What? No, no, no, no, no,” Remus said, shaking his head. “There’s no way that’s safe.”
“It’s perfectly safe, Moony, I’ve done it a million times,” Sirius insisted. “Just keep your eyes closed like you did before. It was cuter like that anyway.” Remus felt himself blush.
“I’m sorry,” Sirius said out of the blue. “I didn’t know it would rain.” He looked genuinely upset; Remus wasn’t sure why.
“Of course you didn’t know, Pads,” Remus laughed. “You can’t control the weather. Everything will be fine. We’ll just wait out the rain before riding home.”
“That’s not what I—” Sirius started, “never mind.”
“What is it?” Remus asked, covering Sirius’ hand with his own.
“I just… I wanted everything to be perfect today. I’m sorry I ruined our anniversary.”
“Ruin it? Sirius, what are you talking about? You didn’t ruin anything.”
“But… it’s raining,” Sirius said confused.
“Yes and? Rain is, like, the most romantic thing ever.”
“It is?”
“Once again,” Remus sighed, “I would like to reiterate how desperately you need to read a book.”
“Well, I’m sorry we can’t all be addicted to romance novels.”
“Oh shut up and kiss me.” Sirius laughs and lets his lips meet Remus’. They’re both drenched to the bone but neither one of them could care any less. Sirius’ hand brushes Remus’ cheek as he wraps his arms around Remus’ neck pulling him closer. Remus’ hands are on Sirius’ waist, and they slide down to his hips. Sirius’ shirt had ridden up a bit from lifting his hands to reach Remus’ neck and Remus’ fingertips brush Sirius’ bare skin — which is wet and slippery from the rain — making Sirius shiver and sigh. When they break apart, Sirius brings his lips to Remus’ ear.
“Besides,” he whispers, as Remus runs a hand through Sirius’ wet hair, “who needs romance novels when I’ve got the best romance story in the world.” Remus felt a flutter of pure happiness and smiled. He kissed Sirius’ jaw, right beneath his ear.
“Happy anniversary,” he whispered. Sirius sighed in response. They stand there in the rain, wrapped in each other’s arms, dancing slowly to the sound of the rain splashing and pattering on the leaves of the trees around them.

LYRA BURKE is TWENTY-FIVE YEARS OLD and an UNSPEAKABLE in THE LOVE CHAMBER at THE MINISTRY OF MAGIC. She looks remarkably like MADISON ISEMAN and considers herself NEUTRAL. She is currently TAKEN.
→ OVERVIEW:
Wealthy and advanced are two words that KRATISTA FLINT would want to eventually use to describe her daughter, and Lyra herself would also want to use those words, but sadly not in the same way. The youngest child of Kratista and EELIS BURKE Lyra was the apple of her fathers eye and the perfect pawn for her mothers schemes. Once a Flint her mother had aspirations for the Burke name to hold the same weight as that of her maiden one and to her the way to do it was through advantageous marriages for both Lyra and her older brother CAIUS. By the age of six Lyra was fluent in French and Latin, knew how to play both the piano and the harp and had a collection of custom designs so large she needed a separate room in their Bloomsbury townhouse to house them all. Although Lyra was happy to better herself and understood her privilege well and accepted it she felt as though she was born for the sole purpose of advancing the family name, almost like a pig for slaughter, the slaughterhouse being the alter with a Pure-Blood prince. Much to her mothers dismay Lyra had an infinity for the Burke side of the family over the Flint side, and although Lyra did want to better the Burke name she saw the path to do so through hard work and excellent job prospects rather than marriage. Kratista blamed this element of her otherwise perfect daughter's personality on her husband's father CARATACUS BURKE. When Lyra and Caius are not having a multitude of lessons they spend their time with their grandfather in his shop, a weird and dark place Borgin and Burkes would frighten most children but the pair loved spending hours amongst the dark artifacts the shop contained, asking their grandfather about each one and the stories behind them.
It was at Borgin and Burkes the siblings first met ERIK BORGIN, the great nephew of the shop's co-owner CALLISTHENES BORGIN and an intriguing boy the same age as Caius. The trio quickly became inseparable, gawking over each new piece brought in to the shop and Lyra found another older brother in Erik, however, much to her dismay the pair headed off to school together leaving her behind with her mother and her schemes. After Caius and Erik had left for Hogwarts Kratista’s plans for Lyra’s life started to fall in to place when they began visiting the Black family as often as they were invited. Karista’s determination to move up in the world once again meant that she had her sights set on a marriage between Lyra and a member of the most noble house of Black, so much so that she had actually named Lyra after a constellation, as was the Black tradition, in the hopes it would give her a leg up in the race for their hand. Although Karista initially had planned for REGULUS, the jewel in the Black family crown, as Lyra’s name was in fact Burke rather than Flint she was instead offered the hand of SIRIUS BLACK who was the eldest Black brother but had alas already been marked as the black sheep of the family. On these visits the once friendly boy would keep his distance, Sirius would often escape to his room or fly on his broom in the garden of his townhouse. Thinking that Sirius was avoiding her because he thought he was too good to marry a lowly Burke, Lyra would instead spend her time with Regulus, teaching him French or listening intently to the stories he had read much to her mothers delight. Kratista thought she was rubbing off on her youngest child and that Lyra was in fact setting her sights on the more sought after Black, which of course was not the case.
Leaving for Hogwarts was one of the happiest days of Lyra’s life, no more did she have to keep her mother happy and could instead explore her own interests. Finding her cousin ROSALIE FLINT on the train the pair clung to one another for support and only hoped that they would follow in the family tradition and be sorted into Slytherin together. Watching Rosalie get sorted immediately into the correct house had Lyra nervous for her turn and correctly so, the hat took what felt like hours choosing between Slytherin and Ravenclaw but ended up deciding her determination to prove her mother wrong was a very Slytherin trait to possess. Dorming with Rosalie the pair fell into a friendship group with their roommates ANDROMEDA BLACK, ADRASTEIA GREENGRASS and AALIYAH GOSFORTH and found a home with them for the next seven years. Determined to explore all she could of life whilst away from her mother Lyra threw herself into her school work, her curiosity often getting the better of her the girl would spend hours after curfew reading and researching in order to get answers. Lyra particularly shone in Herbology and Potions, spending a lot of her free time in the greenhouses and potions classrooms creating concoctions well beyond the capabilities of a normal student in her year. Her intellect being a well known fact amongst her house led to her brother's friend RABASTAN LESTRANGE asking for help in subjects he struggled in and Lyra being as kind as she were, potentially too kind for her house, agreed happily. Rabastan was far more clever than he believed and if only he spent half as much time studying than he did having mood swings he would be top of his class which Lyra openly told him. Rabastan helped Lyra as much as she helped him, he brought out a more humorous and adventurous side to her that she was happy to see, instead of tutoring him in the library or common room instead he would persuade the girl out after curfew to study by the lake or astronomy tower.
Spending a lot of time with Rabastan opened her eyes to lots of new things, one being the world of Quidditch which she enjoyed immensely. He taught her the rules and how to play and soon enough she tried out for the position of Keeper and was accepted, making new friends in her teammates such as LUCINDA TALKALOT, EMMA VANITY and her own cousin DECIUS FLINT. Also amongst her teammates was Regulus, reigniting their friendship from childhood she spent a lot of her time with him and his friend SEVERUS SNAPE who shared her passion for potions. On the occasions where she would have the unfortunate luck to bump into Regulus when he was with his other close friend, NARCISSA BLACK Lyra would quickly end the meeting. A girl who clearly didn't have the time of day for Lyra although she couldn't for the life of you say why Narcissa served as a reminder of all the things she hated about what her mother wanted her to become so wasn't that interested in befriending the girl anyway. Her later years of Hogwarts saw Lyra’s more fun and playful side come into view, already being established as an academic and an excellent Quidditch player it was also time to assert herself into the funner side of life and she had the perfect friendship group to help her. On many occasions you would find the group of Slytherin girls sneaking in the Marauders parties in the Gryffindor tower and partying with all sorts of students. It was at these parties that Lyra started to hold a candle for her ex-betrothed Sirius, who had indeed been the black sheep and defied his family. Now with the freedom it allowed Lyra noticed how Sirous had come into himself and decided to admire him from afar, never being brave enough to approach him as she would only serve as a reminder of the life he left behind.
Using her academic success in potions to hers and other peoples advantage Lyra teamed up with Adrasteia who was also gifted in the subject to create concoctions perfect for these Gryffindor parties. Being personal favourites of the Potions master PROFESSOR SLUGHORN allowed the girls to use the potions labs whenever they wanted and so spent much of their free time creating drinks that could do almost anything. They made butterbeers that could sober you up, cocktails that gave you the courage to dance to the songs being played and even dabbled with shots that could get you to the right level of drunk in one gulp. It was however with this very drink that one of Lyra’s worst memories had been made, she had entered one of the many parties with a first draft of the shot in hand when she offered one to Rabastan - at his own risk - and had one to herself. The shot worked perfectly for her, and seemingly worked for him too, the pair having enough dutch courage in them to actually share a kiss. However it all turned south when the shot must have reacted to something Rabastan had already drank and he became so drunk he couldn't stand, the next day she apologised profusely and it became quite obvious, much to her dismay that the boy didn't remember anything from the night before. Hiding her new found feelings for the boy in the same place within her heart as she did with those for Sirius Lyra graduated Hogwarts at the top of many of her classes and was flooded with Job offers.
Deciding that a job as an Unspeakable in the love chamber was an excellent way to show her mother advancing did not necessarily mean marriage and to also fix the wounds of unrequited feelings Lyra moved away from her mothers clutches and in to a flat in Carkitt Market above the Hopping Pot with Andromeda and Adrasteia. Being extremely proud of her job Lyra spent a lot of time there, becoming close with ANNABETH PEBWORTH who was a Muggle-Born witch with the same kind-heartedness Lyra herself possessed. The pair got on swimmingly at work despite the difference in blood status, Annabeth never once expecting Lyra to be cruel for her blood and Lyra never once expecting Annabeth to be below her for hers. With blood status becoming increasingly more apparent in their society Lyra is becoming more and more aware of the people around her to all intents and purposes choosing sides. Not yet ready to admit that she will likely have to choose herself, she has buried her head in the sand looking for anything to distract her. The perfect opportunity came along however in the most terrible way, her cousin Rosalie went missing at the Yule ball just gone and popped up again two weeks later with no recollection of what happened. Caring wholeheartedly for Rosalie and not wanting to see her like this Lyra has made it her mission to use her researching skills to their advantage and is working with Rosalie to figure out what has happened to her.

They Have a Sister, You Know? (Part 1)
Remus Lupin x Reader
Word Count: 1,461
Warning(s): canon divergence, language, mention of an abusive childhood, mild violence/torture.
Series Summary: You were the youngest, and least known sibling in the Black family. And, like your brothers before you, you rebelled against your family, eventually leaving them in your wake. Luckily, as you got older, your brothers took you under their wing and held you up on your feet. Now, you fought together in the war that seemed to consume the world around you. Since jobs were out of the question, your oldest brother Sirius and his friends formed a low-key rock band, performing at small bars here and there for extra income. And, being the supportive younger sister you were, you went to the first show you could. That was where you met Remus Lupin, again. Sure, you remembered the scrawny boy from school. But, years later, he was different. He was hot. And, when the world suddenly started crumbling around you, you realized that was only one of many amazing traits the young werewolf possessed.
A/N: Here’s my first Remus x Reader series. I hope you like it. Bold words are song lyrics. Song featured in this fic is “You Don’t Belong” by Chris Daughtry. Sorry, but I don’t keep a tag list.

Sirius and Regulus Black? Yeah, I’ve heard of them. They have a sister, you know? Y/N Black. She was the youngest of the three, and from what I’ve heard, the most rebellious. Yes, even more than her infamous oldest brother. Walburga kept her on a short leash, and rarely let her leave the house as a child. When she turned eleven, she was sent off to Hogwarts like her brothers. She was only a year behind Regulus I believe, and was sorted into Ravenclaw house, much to her parent’s dismay. After Sirius ran away, she found her way out of Grimmauld Place too, for good. No one knows where the three siblings are now. I’ve heard Regulus was killed, and she may be dead too. No one really knows for sure.
You nudged Regulus and smiled. He shot you another annoyed look, which seemed to be his usual look these days, then turned back to the dark stage in front of him. It was weird being in public like this, out in the open, but it was also so nice. It had been almost two months since any of you had gone out in public to have any sort of fun. And, a rock concert was definitely your idea of fun.
“I hope Sirius falls of that stage,” you joked as you leaned towards your brother. “He’s such a dork.”
“He won’t, Y/N. Be nice,” Lily, one of your best friends growled beside you, swatting your arm. “If any of them are going to get injured, it would be James. I can’t believe they trust him with two drum sticks.” She rolled her eyes, making you laugh.
“You’ve got a point, Lils.” You turned back towards the stage waiting for your brother and his friends to come on. The four of them had formed a small band to make some extra cash when they could. Of course, everyone took extra care to make sure the Death Eaters weren’t following them. But, in the back of your mind, you knew they were never too far behind.
Marlene smacked both of her hands onto your shoulders and screamed as the stage lit up, revealing your favorite rock stars. The nearly one hundred people in the crowd clapped and cheered as James, Sirius, Peter, and Remus entered the stage.
“Oh,” you muttered as your eyes landed on your brother’s friend, Remus. It had been a while since you had seen him, at least a year or two. Hell, maybe more. Since you and Reg were almost always gone on some sort of mission nowadays, you hadn’t had much time to catch up with anyone. Most of them hadn’t changed a bit.
But, Remus had. He was taller than you remember, even taller than Sirius now. And, he had definitely filled out since school. His shoulders were wider, and he was definitely more muscular than you remembered. And, he had a noticeable, relatively new scar across his left cheek. The sight made your heart ping. But, those gorgeous green eyes were the same one you remembered from years back. Oh, and they were as magnificent as ever.
Regulus had told you during school that Remus was a werewolf. It had scared the life out of you at first. But, Remus was a sweet soul. And, from what you understood, his friends kept close watch during his transformations. After a while, you rarely thought about it.
Remus held his guitar close, which you recognized was Sirius’ spare that you stole from time to time. He approached the center mic. He sang too? Merlin. You weren’t sure you could take much more without melting.
“Oh, James, don’t twirl those!” Lily squealed to herself as she watched her husband toy with his drum sticks. “I don’t want to have to fix those glasses again!” she whined. James obviously couldn’t hear her. So, you just laughed, watching the young man you referred to as your brother-in-law tap lightly on the edge of his drums.
Your eyes scanned over the boys. Sirius tuned his deep purple guitar and Peter adjusted the strap on his tattered bass guitar. You honestly didn’t even know Peter had any musical talent.
“Hello, everyone,” Remus greeted the crowd. His voice was much deeper than you remembered, giving you chills. “And thank you for being here.” And, with that, he and Sirius started their first cords.
Remus leaned into the mic. “With time to kill and an empty tomb, I always find a way to pass the time with you.” His silky voice rolled. You nearly melted into the floor. Instead, you leaned against your older brother, who stood perfectly still. His eyes flicked over to you knowingly, but he didn’t say a word.
Sirius thrashed around, occasionally popping up in front of his own mic to sing the back up vocals. You didn’t even know your brother could sing. He certainly could, and so could Remus. Oh, so well.
“Ten feet tall and bullet proof I never thought that I had a thing to lose.” Your skin prickled as you watched the copper haired man close his eyes, getting lost in the music around him. The crowd around you responded, making you smile. But, you couldn’t take your eyes off Remus Lupin.
“They’re really good, huh?” Lily asked beside you, her voice barely audible over the music. You nodded, never shifting your gaze. She nudged you. “Y/N?” She studied you, slowly following your line of sight to the subject of your fascination. “Oh, no. Y/N, you crushing on a rock star?”
You snapped towards her. “No! They are just a lot better than I taught they would be! I had no idea they would be so put together!” you shouted as the song ended. “I thought Sirius was going to try to play something different from everyone else and try to lead the show.”
Lily shook her head. “From what little I’ve seen during their occasional practice, he’s as focused as the rest of them. They just haven’t had much time to play, with so many missions lately.” She turned back towards the stage, her eyes landing on James. “It’s a good distraction for them—”
The building around you started the shake violently. Shards from the wooden ceiling beams began to fall into the small crowd as everyone around you started to scream. Regulus grabbed your arm and tugged you towards him, reaching for his wand. You slipped yours out too and held it in front of you.
“Shit!” you screamed. “What is—Lily!” you shouted for your friend as she raced towards the stage, towards your husband. “No!” you tried to break free from his grasp and chase after her, but Regulus was bigger than you, and he was just too strong. “I need to go after her!”
“James will find her! And Marlene!” he shouted over the screams. “We need to get out of here—” Just as he turned, a dark figure stopped him dead in his tracks. “Fuck.”
You lifted your wand as turned toward your brother. The figure, cloaked in a long black robe, stared you down. The man didn’t say a word. Instead, he raised his wand to you.
“Impedimenta!” you screamed just before the man flicked his wand. His movements slowed, giving Regulus enough time to dodge out of the way. He rushed into the crowd with you following close behind.
Seconds later, your entire body exploded with intense pain. You collapsed to the concrete ground as your spine arched. A desperate shrill escaped your throat as a young woman, around your age, hovered over you, her wand dangling from her thin fingers.
“The youngest Black, filthy traitor!” you could barely hear her over the sound of your own screams. Your legs bent under you, pain still searing through every nerve. This was it; you were done for. That was what you got for going to such a public place even when hundreds of loyal Death Eaters were hunting you down every waking moment. It was about time before they found you and killed you.
“Stupefy!” You heard someone scream. A moment later, they pain began to subside, and a sigh left your lungs. You tensed as arms wrapped around you and pulled you quickly to your feet. Your blurred vision tried to focus on who was holding you up. But, you couldn’t tell.
“Reg?” you muttered to your savior.
“He’s safe. Both of your brothers are,” a familiar voice answered. You aching body tensed again, this time from shock.
“Remus,” you huffed, trying to keep up with his fast pace. But, the curse had been too much for you, and you were weak. Your head spun as you lost your footing, before finally collapsing back onto the floor.
