#rat rambles #band posting #band swap au #mfs that somehow manage to slowburn despite accidentally confessing super early on #I wont go too into things but like Ive said before they ended up reconnecting some point after kanon tried to reconnect with both #and they found that they actually enjoyed eachother's company despite everything and as such decided to move forward together #blah blah blah reclaiming that which you thought was stolen from you due to past baggage yada yada #and chisato crushes easily and already had a crush on ran in middle school so when it predictably comes back theyre just like fuck fuck fu #this was already canon before but Ive been thinking more abt the ran half of things #and with chisato being a lot more openly cringe in this au honestly. they could be their taste #its abt that adhd swag (and also cringe (and also the fact that chisato likes to tease them after a while)) #and that made me remember that kaoru has their thing with their one sided crush on chisato that chisato noticed and got rly scared abt #mainly cause last time they were friends with someone with a one sided crush on them it ended Very poorly #and kaoru in turn noticed this and had a character development moment abt it and decided to be honest with them abt everything #basically making it clear that yes they had feelings for them and yes it pains them that a relationship is not feasable #but that they do not expect nor want chisato to try to force themself into a relationship with them abd all that jazz #and that made me think what if chisato assuming their feelings were one sided decided to have a similar with ran since they know that this #could legitimately be a dealbreaker for them thanks to the twos past and while thats painful and scary to think abt chisato doesnt trust #themself to just repress it and hope it goes away #and ran sort of freaks out and dips not cause its not mutual but cause it is but theyve only rly been crushing for like 2 weeks #chisato assumes the worst but ran texts them some of the context and is basically like ok same but. I dont think I can date u rn sorry #blah blah blah character arcs slowburn blah blah chisato eventually is like ok seriously dont feel pressured by this but in case ur worried #abt me I feel like I should say if I could have it my way I would wanna date you.
