Hellooooo! If you feel like it, might I request...
"Sorry, that was my first kiss."
"I could tell."
"I was kidding!"
with whomever you feel like writing, although I feel like it screams Fives. ;)
xoxoxoxox
Free! My wonderful friend! Thank you so much for the ask! While this is on brand for Fives, I actually was drawn to another one of our beautiful Domino Squad members with this one! Cutup!
A Good Batch
Pairing: Clone Trooper Cutup x GN!Reader
Summary: You’re the head nurse for a Republic Mobile Surgical Unit. Your unit is assigned to the region Domino Squad has been tasked to assist. Cutup is too charming for his own good.
Warnings: none. It’s fluffy and our boys live.
Word Count: 1064
A/N: This is an AU in which all of Domino Squad survive Rishi Moon, Rex claims them all as his chaos sons, and then nothing bad ever happens to them again and they live happily ever after as they deserve the end. Extra points if you catch the Clone Cadets Easter egg I dropped in there.
Prompt:
"Sorry, that was my first kiss."
"I could tell."
"I was kidding!"
…will be in bold blue
Tumblr media
You’d been head nurse for RMSU 17 for so many rotations you’d lost count. Every new assignment was the same: Set up, help the men, tear down, move on. You were regularly poorly equipped and understaffed. Resupply visits from the Republic were unreliable, infrequent, and never adequately fulfilled your unit’s needs. But that's how all the RMSUs operated so you and the rest of the staff made do and were creative when you needed to be. You assumed this assignment would be no different.
They had warned you about Domino Squad before they arrived. “A bad batch” they’d been called. Now they were one of the most highly decorated and skilled squads in the GAR. The heroes of Rishi Moon. What you weren’t prepared for was how fully and completely you would fall for one of them.
Cutup captured your attention immediately. He was undeniably handsome with an intense piercing gaze and his tidy well kept beard. But beyond that, he was indomitable and cool headed combined with a sense of humor that regularly left you laughing until you were in tears. You often found yourself seeking his company in the RMSU cantina during your time off. Meanwhile Cutup was accompanying his brothers for medical treatment more often the longer the mission dragged on.
Tumblr media
“Hello nurse!” He declared as he threw the hospital wing doors open, flashing you his ten million credit smile. Droidbait had landed himself in hospital for the third time that week which meant Cutup was there for his usual visit and good natured ribbing of his brother.
“Hello again Cutup.” You glanced up from Droidbait’s iv with an affectionate smile. Cutup sidled up next to you sending your stomach reeling.
“My brother. Droidbait. He gonna be okay?” He asked dramatically, throwing his arm across his forehead and flopping across Droidbait’s lap. Droidbait flashed him an impolite hand gesture as you giggled.
“Yes, he’s going to be just fine. Though I do understand how he got the name. I think he’s the first repeat customer I’ve ever had here. I’m considering starting a rewards program just for him. ‘Get three blaster bolts, you get a free surgery’ or something.”
Droidbait glared at you both as Cutup laughed and slapped him on the shoulder. You chuckled as you stepped away to the med cabinet. As you measured out the next round of meds due in ten standard minutes, you felt a presence over your shoulder. You glanced over to see Cutup hovering with a glint in his eye and a sweet grin.
“Oi, leave room for the Maker you too!” Droidbait called from his bed.
“Shhh, Droidbait you need rest,” Cutup scolded with a lazy wave of his hand, his attention never wavering from you. “I just want to thank you. For all you’ve done.”
“You don’t have to thank me. This is a field hospital. I’m a nurse. It’s my job.”
“That’s not what I mean.”
You paused, turning to face him. He smirked seeing the bewilderment painted across your face.
“I’ve seen the long nights you pull when one of us comes through. Droidbait says he has never woken up alone. Echo said you came in on your time off to make sure his wound dressing was changed correctly. Hevy said you visited him in the barracks to make sure his concussion was cleared. With all the attention you’ve paid to my brothers, I’m almost jealous I haven’t gotten injured yet.”
“You don’t have to be injured to get my attention, Cutup,” you said, almost instantly regretting it as a hot flush rushed to your face.
“No?” He asked, his voice rumbling deep in his chest as he stood so close his breath fanned your face.
“I-I would prefer you not get hurt, actually.” Your breath hitched as his amber eyes burned into you. For a moment you could have sworn he knew exactly what you were thinking.
“You worried about me, nurse?” His eyes glittered with delight as a cocky smirk pulled at the corners of his mouth.
“I…ahh…” was all you managed to stammer before making up a halfhearted excuse about a patient needing you and rushing off.
Tumblr media
You were surprised to find Cutup waiting for you when you finished your shift. You weren’t sure how it was possible but he managed to look even more gorgeous in the radiant starlight.
“Couldn’t let you walk alone so late,” he crooned, approaching you with a confident swagger that immediately drew your eyes to his hips.
“You’re sweet, Cutup. But I’ve walked alone countless times. I could do it with my eyes closed.”
“Oh yeah? I’d like to see that.” Cutup cocked an eyebrow and crossed his arms.
“Me walking with my eyes closed?” You confirmed incredulously.
“Yeah.” He tipped his chin in a playful challenge.
You sighed and closed your eyes. However instead of proving your point, you walked into Cutup who had stepped directly into your path.
Before you had a chance to protest he firmly grasped your neck, just beneath your jaw and pulled you in for a kiss. You inhaled sharply as your lips collided, his tongue laving your bottom lip before dragging it through his teeth. His kiss was all you could have hoped for and more. His touch was electric, setting sparks alight in your chest. You whined softly as he pulled back, immediately yearning for his touch.
"Sorry, that was my first kiss." You beamed against his lips which lingered over yours.
"I could tell." He chuckled brightly before pressing his forehead to yours.
"I was kidding!" An indignant gasp escaped your lips.
“Hey it’s okay! Baby, you and me could find someplace quiet and practice all night if ya want. I got time,” he cooed smoothly. He cupped your chin, rubbing his thumb across your lips.
You hummed, leaning into his touch. You tilted your head toward your barracks.
Cutup’s eyes widened. “Wait, really?”
“Unless you don’t…”
“Kriff yes I do! Lead the way.” His hand reached for yours, delicately interlocking his fingers with your own. Even through his gloves, you felt the warmth of his hand. It traveled to your chest and bloomed into radiant joy.
I don’t know what those Kaminoans were talking about. He’s definitely from a good batch, you thought to yourself smiling as you walked hand in hand toward your tent by the light of the stars.

Fallen Silver: Ch 4
Summary: Sephiroth is MIA. Second Class Rhapsodos and Third Class Hewley are tasked with locating and finding him. The public does not know of this disappearance. No one was prepared for the truth.
No one knew SOLDIER hung on by a thread.
Chapter 4: Relief
Inspired by @altocat 's and @rottenpumpkin13 's posts.
Please enjoy.
The heart monitor beeped at the occasional fluctuation of vitals. Oxygen levels remained steady, blood pressure nearly constant, heartbeat a perfect pattern while the patient remained unconscious. Every attempt to waken the man scattered all regulation to complete chaos. For his own safety, Genesis was strapped down before any attempt at a test took place. Some tests purely examined the floating rods in the Crimson Soldier’s eyes. Others proved the lack of connection between actual vision and what he claimed to see. Even a pitch black room held the phantom he critically begged to escape from.
Twelve hours had passed. The fourth experimental cure was ready. Angeal was the only person allowed in the room as the doctors added the cure to the IV and weaned off the sleep medication. They left as the old friend stood in silence at the side of the bed.
All Angeal could do was wait, watching the slow progress.
The small movements of damaged hands, the soft scrunch of eyelids, the adjusting breath. Once beautiful mako blue eyes opened to the stain of dark rods slowly swimming in both scleras. “Angeal…?” The voice was hesitant, careful.
“Hey Genesis,” He couldn't help the small smile, the small hope, from entering his voice. It was the first time Genesis recognized anyone physically inside the room. “How are you feeling?”
The redhead glanced around the room, every exit, every window, every potential weapon fully taken note of. Then he noticed the restraints and looked up at Angeal desperately. The rods in his eyes jostled with the movement. “You need to run. Get out of here before he comes back.”
“No one's coming after you-”
“He’s going to kill me. You have to save yourself, Angeal. I'll distract him as long as I can-”
“Genesis.”
He stopped.
Angeal couldn’t be more thankful that his friend could finally respond. “It’s not real. Sephiroth isn’t attacking you. It’s an illusion. It was all an illusion.”
Genesis tried to move. “But my injuries-”
“Weren’t caused by him.” Angeal couldn’t tell his friend the whole truth. Not now. “Wutaians attacked in your confusion. Sephiroth dragged you back to our base.”
Mako blues blinked once. Twice. Thrice. “...I-” the rods stirred again, obscuring both irises. His head snapped to the door and he tensed. “Don't come any closer!”
“Genesis!”
“Leave him out of this! He's done nothing!”
The Third was given no other option, reaching for the closed, unlocked IV.
“Don't! Stop it! Angeal, don’t listen to him!”
Drops slowly slipped through the tube.
He bit his own cheek, drawing blood and whipping his head as if taking a blow.
“Angeal, please, you know that’s not true! Don’t listen to him! Don’t do this! Please don’t do-... don’t…… please…….” Genesis fell limp, his eyes closing to trap him in quiet darkness once more.
“I’m sorry.”
The nurses and scientists returned. The Third Class SOLDIER was sent away.
Angeal leaned against the wall and exhaled slowly. He was so close to getting through, but Hollander still had no reliable cure. He didn’t think keeping Genesis unconscious for this long was safe, let alone another few days or possibly weeks if no cure at least brought him back to sanity. He should probably update Sephiroth…
Wait. Sephiroth. His head snapped up. He hadn’t seen the First since Genesis was strapped down. Where could he possibly be?
Hojo’s lab, of course. However, all his attempts to enter the highly classified laboratory were completely shut down.
* * *
Why wasn’t it working?
Unbeknownst to Sephiroth, the cure for the toxin hadn’t been touched since the head scientist received the broken gong. He first struck it without any repairs, but the Silver Soldier showed no reaction. Sephiroth was left locked in the exam room as Hojo entered the cold storage containing various cell cultures: bacteria, viruses, and even the preserved Leviathan scales removed from the Hero of Wutai himself.
The first true attempt was filling the crack in the gong with the scales and the same Wutaian bronze as the rest of the instrument. No effect. Then, after calling in a team of engineers, they attempted to extend the rivets and curves on the surface, matching every wave with scientifically perfect accuracy. Again, no effect. Hojo even requested a proper musician to strike the instrument, and though the resultant sound was exponentially better, Sephiroth showed no reaction, not even a wince.
What were they missing?
Despite the frustration, a hidden experiment was also taking place. Sephiroth did not speak a single word since the promise of helping his friend. Hojo kept a simple notification ready for if or when the man decided to speak, perhaps even give hints about who or what he was talking to. Yet this experiment was also a failure as Sephiroth never allowed his thoughts to leave his lips again.
In the days since Rhapsodos’s emergency return, both sections of the lab were useless.
“I have a task for you,” Hojo stated as he entered the room, the addressed man not even turning his eyes in response. “Return to Wutai and retrieve an undamaged gong.”
Slit pupils met black glasses in bewilderment.
“This will continue your progress on the front as we continue developing a remedy for Rhapsodos. Though I understand you cannot accomplish this task alone.”
He looked down like a guilty child. A failure. A disappointment.
“So what will you require?”
After a breath, the Silver Soldier hardened, his eyes flicking ever so slightly as ideas ran through his mind. After a few seconds of silence, he responded, “Four Second Classes with confidential or higher security clearance. And Angeal.”
Hojo nearly groaned. “Him? What can that inferior Third possibly accomplish?
“He is the only one I trust to carry out the mission. We share the same motivation. He is the only logical choice.”
“And if Hewley is captured or gassed, what will you do?”
Another moment of silence. A small shake of mercury. “...I’ll follow my instincts.”
* * *
The flight back to Wutai was silent. The director of SOLDIER informed all personnel of the First’s immediate return, saying the orders were completely above his rank. Sephiroth was granted the extra reinforcements he required. He had yet to discuss the plan with Angeal who already had dreadful feels about this sudden decision. It was difficult enough to leave Genesis in that lab, especially since both Angeal and Genesis refused to return until Sephiroth recovered.
On the dawn after arrival, Sephiroth requested Angeal’s presence on a hill half a mile away from the latest claimed fortress.
“What are you thinking?” Angeal questioned immediately upon reaching the location.
Sephiroth breathed deeply. “Hollander won’t find a cure. Hojo claimed to aid the effort in return for finding an uncracked gong.”
Mako blue eyes widened.
The head of silver turned away.
“We’re doing this to take one back? Does he know what it did to you last time?”
“For Genesis’s sake, it doesn’t matter. Loathe as it is, I’m confident Hojo will identify a cure when he recreates the compound in his lab. I must personally deliver the gong to him as soon as possible.”
“What does he want it for?”
Sephiroth winced.
The Second glared. “Sephiroth. What does he want it for?”
“He’ll run experiments to find the cause of the feeling. Either I grow a resistance to it or Hojo develops a countermeasure,” His words were cold, detached. He flinched, shaking off another thought.
“And what about the toxin?” Angeal tried to back the First into a corner, to force him into abandoning this incredibly dangerous plan before allowing it to leave his lips.
“I’m resistant to it.” His eyes still contained the rods. There was no hiding the simple truth.
“Not immune.”
“...No.”
“Then with all due respect, you should be nowhere near this mission when it begins.”
“I already have a plan.”
“Sephiroth-”
“I will lead the team of Seconds to the next outpost. They are already aware of the secrecy of the matter. I will distract the Wutaians and tell the Seconds everything they see me do is an act.”
“Our troops know that’s a lie.”
“Which is exactly why the team is new.”
“What will you do if they confront you about it? Or if the cadets let it slip?”
“We’ll burn that bridge when we get to it.” Sephiroth’s expression hardened. “When I collapse, I want you and a team of scouts to infiltrate the outpost and retrieve the gong. Anything else you can accomplish will only be permitted if the gong is retrieved undamaged. We then claim the outpost if we can.”
“And what will you do when your ‘act’ ends with you losing consciousness?”
“I’ll tell them I must commit entirely. If Wutai in any way believes I am playing them, they will abandon the post and retreat with the payload.” He suddenly grabbed his head, trying to suppress a noise from escaping. He hunched, blocking his face with his bangs as he turned away.
Angeal’s frustration halted, reverting back to the kind hearted friend they both knew. “What’s happening? Sephiroth, is it the toxin?”
“I don’t care what happens,” He spoke through gritted teeth. “I don’t care what happens to me. This was my fault. I have to do this.” Slowly, hesitantly his posture returned.
“I don’t like this…”
“During my capture, how many times did you say that exact phrase to Genesis?”
“That’s different-”
“It’s exactly the same. We’ll make preparations now and leave at dusk. That’s the only way we can help him. It guarantees the payload is present and gives us a solid chance to claim it.”
“Taking risks on the field and torturing yourself are two different things.”
“It’s not that simple…”
“You keep saying that.”
“Angeal-” He cut himself off, turning away and curling in on himself, small, weak, afraid. He didn’t notice his friend whipping around to watch his face. “I have to do something right. I can do this, I swear.”
The Third softly pressed a hand to the black leather arm. He said nothing until Sephiroth relaxed into reality. “You’re not healed. How many times are we going to do this?”
“Until we’re all safe again!” Sephiroth’s snap silenced the discussion. Angeal hugged him, but it felt empty and cold. The silver soldier craved something the friend could never provide, but he did not know what.
* * *
The last orange glow of the sky dimmed as Sephiroth and the Second Classes approached the outpost. Though the Silver Soldier could feel the tension, confusion, and hesitation of the team following him, they dared not speak a word. He focused on forcing one foot in front of the other, despite his survival instincts screaming in protest against every wave of the toxin.
He silently wished the Seconds would speak their mind. At least then something would distract him from the voice.
Even She failed to persuade him.
Know that I am with you always. Cling to my words to spare yourself and your friends.
The moment the firelight of the outpost shimmered his silver hair, the gong rang and he collapsed instantly. The phantom strings of his heart pulled in every direction, desperately reaching for something to connect with even at the cost of agony. He curled on the ground, rocking and screaming without the comforting, fear awakened voice. His body grasped the needle like threads of desperation tightening around his heart like a noose.
No one remained to comfort his despair.
Wutaian forces laughed, mocking the hero and raining down magic at the Seconds defending their fallen leader.
After all, it was just an act, right? He’d get up soon? He’d save them if they were in danger?
On the other side of the outpost, Angeal and the small team of scouts slipped past the guards undetected. Inside, everyone seemed to be enjoying the show. They stayed low and quiet until the gong was in sight.
The scouts claimed the gong and mallet while Angeal dispatched the enemy soldiers. At the muting of the dreadful instrument and the bright red target on all of their backs, the full force of Shinra’s troop attacked.
All except the Silver Soldier who laid unmoving with Second Classes sworn to protect him.
Hours passed before the highest ranking SOLDIER awoke. Only his Third Class friend waited for him. The cadets were scouring the outpost for resources while the scouts called in the payload back at the claimed fortress.
Inhuman eyes opened, ebony rods finally flushed away.
Angeal held out a hand. “You need to see this.”
Sephiroth took it and rose to his feet. “Lead the way.”
At the heart of the outpost stood a mausoleum. However, Wutaian culture would not allow a final resting place so far from any public gravesite, so perhaps it was only a front. Sephiroth’s assumption was proven correct as they opened the door, an ornate staircase descended, lined with patterns of silver scales, not a shred of gold in sight. He rushed down the stairs despite his instinct to run away. Stone and marble statues of the Wutaian water god constricted the room. Its scales surrounded them like a victorious snake. Altars, fountains, torches, candles, shackles, ritualistic weapons.
Beyond the silver, it was all the same
“This was for Genesis…” Sephiroth’s words left breathlessly.
“Two with one is unpredictable,” Angeal quoted. “They’re trying to take down the top three SOLDIERs.”
“Or all three of us.” Sephiroth met his eyes. “We promote SOLDIER. Even though you haven't made Second yet, if all three of us fall victim to capture or toxin, no one will enlist and the program will be deemed a failure.”
“And the Wutai’s war would finally end.”
Inhuman eyes fell. “Or Shinra creates a new weapon to destroy their entire country without a second thought. At least with the war, some of their people will survive...”
Something hid in that statement, but Angeal chose not to push. “Let’s head back to the fort. Get some real rest before transport arrives.”
Sephiroth nodded. “I’ll call in an excavation team.”
* * *
The gong cured the toxin. That was what Sephiroth told both scientists when he arrived in HQ with the instrument in hand but lacking the black rods in his eyes. Hollander immediately attempted it without a second thought. Genesis did not react. However, neither did Sephiroth. Again the science department summoned a percussionist. Apparently the reaction required proper technique.
Sephiroth watched through observation glass at the second attempt. In Genesis’s room, the musician rang the gong. The Silver Soldier fell to his knees, gloved hands clawing at the glass and uncontrollable groans leaving his lips.
The Crimson Soldier remained perfectly still. One quick look from the scientists proved the instrument was a failure. Sephiroth was told to seal himself in an experimentation chamber before Hojo injected the lab-grown remedy.
Of course, Hojo’s cure succeeded. Genesis finally came to, surrounded by scientists and nurses, not a single friendly face at his side. Sephiroth was long gone, and to Hojo, the less he knew the better.
Within The Drum, Sephiroth paced, his arms crossed and his head down. Waiting. Preparing. Fortifying his emotions. Praying they could contain the resonant emotion.
He glanced up at the observation chamber, some part of him attempting to see through the solid force field of indigo hexagons. He hopes the scientist would at very least reveal the instrument to him before the training began.
Step by step he begged this to work.
The chamber blocked out all natural light, adjustable fluorescent bulbs illuminating endless stasis. The pulse of the force field gave the illusion of measurement, subconsciously counted by the Silver Soldier.
Mid step, the gong rang, and all attempts at resistance shattered as he clung to his own body, his shouts echoing off the walls. Any thought of progress and control collapsed.
Hojo watched, fascinated and disgusted by the effectiveness. Sephiroth was stronger than some musical instrument. What occurred to cause such a reaction? Despite his desire to immediately take samples, he decided to indulge a different desire. He contacted his assistant and ordered them to find more musicians.
How long could the First survive on his own?

“God exemplified his wisdom in not endorsing any of man’s cosmologies in his Word. If God had done otherwise, it would have needlessly exposed the Bible to ridicule in nearly every age, for man’s cosmologies have changed continually over time.”
-Dr. Danny R. Faulkner, The Book of Enoch and the Flat Earth
"The various enactments of the law, moral and ritual, were written on the heavenly tablets (iii. 31, vi. 17, &c.) and revealed to man through the mediation of angels (i. 27). This conception of the law, as I have already pointed out, made prophecy impossible unless under the guise of pseudonymity. Since the law was the ultimate and complete expression of absolute truth, there was no room for any further revelation: much less could any such revelation, were it conceivable, supersede a single jot or tittle of the law as already revealed. This is exactly the view of the Rabbinic scholars. Thus they taught that whereas the Prophets and Hagiographa will in the future cease to be, for there is nothing in them which is not suggested." "[Apocalyptic literature] has been always pseudonymous from the third century B.C. onwards. This pseudonymity was due to the absolute supremacy of the Law, which left no room for prophecy." "God had, according to the official teachers of the Church, spoken His last and final word through the Law, and when the hope was expressed that in the coming age a prophet will arise, he was only conceived as one whose task was to decide questions of ritual or priestly succession, or legal interpretation in accordance with the Law. Thus in 1 Mace. iv. 46 the stones of the defiled altar of burnt-offering were to be put aside till a prophet arose, and similarly in xiv. 41 (cf. ix. 27) the high-priesthood of Simon was to be provisionally acknowledged till a prophet arose, who could decide on the validity of his high-priesthood. Accordingly the first fact we are to recognize is, that from the time of Ezra and Nehemiah the Law has not only assumed the functions of the ancient pre-Exilic prophets, but it has also, so far as it lay in its power, made the revival of such prophecy an impossibility. The prophet who issued a prophecy under his own name after the time of Ezra and Nehemiah could not expect a hearing unless his prophecy had the imprimatur of the Law."
"It is now clear, I think, that from Nehemiah’s time onward prophecy could not gain a hearing, whether the prophecy was genuine—that is, appeared under the name of its actual author—or was anonymous, unless it was acceptable in the eyes of the Law. From the class of genuine and anonymous works we pass on to the third division, the pseudonymous, There are at all events two of them in the Old Testament, Ecclesiastes and Daniel. With the former we have here no concern. But how are we to explain the pseudonymity of Daniel and the other apocalyptic works of the second century B.C., such as Enoch, Jubilees, and the Testaments of the XII Patriarchs? This pseudonymity has already in part been explained. These apocalyptists do not merely repeat the old truths, which in so many cases had become the mere shibboleths of a petrified orthodoxy, they not only challenged many of the orthodox views of the time and condemned them, but they also carried [more truths;] according to Zech. xiii. 1-5 (a late work written from the priestly standpoint), if a man declared himself to be a prophet his father and his mother were to put him to death. By such drastic measures prophecy was driven forth[...] and has never since been suffered to return. The task of leading the people into more spiritual conceptions, alike as regards the present life and that which is to come, devolved henceforth [to the pseudonymous apocalyptic]."
-Charles, R.H., general editor, The Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament, Oxford, 1913

DARK CARNIVAL LORE EPISODE #1:ORIGINS
My name is Hoots and today i will be sharing the lore of this carnival led by the one and only Fenic the clown.
From what ive heard from the founding members it all began in the asylum about 10 or so years ago, the doctors had wheeled in a new arrival whom just "recovered" from a gunshot wound to the head and now thought she was some clown, this freak was now known as Fenic.
As the months passed Fenic grew restless she wanted to break free she wanted out "Why am i here" she thought to herself, she would eventually spread the idea of breaking out to other patients those being the founding members of the carnival, she began talking to a former street punk from new orleans a woman only known as Vixen Reaver, they talked for a bit and soon Vixen saw promise in the idea they shook hands and Fenic left looking for another and another she would find Poison next, still locked tight in her padded cell, Fenic would slip notes through the door slit aswell as a impromptu writing tool, Poison agreed to help so long as she is freed from that damned muzzle, Fenic would then find her soon to be third in command a big man by the name of Jack or as she called him "Great jack" because he stood at 6'4 and usually kept silent like a statue, she somehow convinced him to join, she would then find the final member meanwhile Vixen gained the assistance of atleast 20 more grunts for the task ahead, Fenic sat down with the last and final founding member a woman named Clover or as Fenny would call her Clover Ace they talked and the only thing Clover asked in return for freedom was the head of the bastard who put her in there.
A month had passed and plenty of hard work was done, Fenic managed to make some homemade explosives and "convinced" the janitor to leave these little treats in specific spots around the funnyfarm that would destroy not only the power to the cell doors but a very old wall they could use for an escape route and once the bombs blew, the doors flew open and the now clown makeup clad prisoners were free to escape they fought through guards and doctors until fresh open air hit their faces, they escaped using a heavily armored truck one that still remains in the hands of the circus even to this day, they drove for quite the while till they reached the site of a long abandoned circus yard where they would work tirelessly for 4 straight months setting up not only tents but fixing up an old train that would become their very own mobile fortress on rails.
After the first year they began training for not only combat but for shows to keep their funds rolling in, Fenic began to show more of her psychotic nature she slowly began talking to herself claiming she was talking to a higher being one called "The Author" the freaks would notice her voice pitch randomly change it almost bended with her inconsistant moodswings until of course it was time for her to put on a show for an audience of some poor unlucky town.
END OF DARK CARNIVAL LORE EPISODE #1.

alternate universe where the detective inspectors of the yard are supernaturals tasked with safeguarding the “veil” aka hiding the existence of the supernatural & paranormal. they also investigate murders done by supernatural means.
wow, i used that word thrice. more details underneath the cut.
Lucy Baker is a fresh recruit of New Scotland Yard, barely passing the exam by the skin of her knee. She is not only a newbie, but one of the only three humans at the Yard that’s allowed to peek underneath the veil and keep their society’s little secret. She makes the usual mistakes of assuming supernaturals are exactly how they’re portrayed in fantasy and horror films, but gets along swimmingly with her other co-workers and uplifts morale by simply existing.
Alfendi Layton is a vampire forever stuck at twenty-five after the Forebodium Castle Incident. Instead of feeding on blood like fictional vampires, he’s absorbing people’s willpower as it’s his main diet - consuming their mental strength, allowing him to easily make his suspects give up on their false alibis and confess. How did he become a vampire? Well, there’s a certain magic called a curse...
Blaine Dartwright’s the other human at the Yard and the youngest detective inspector to be hired there - he’s utterly proud of his accomplishment, boasting about it to his co-workers. A lot of people see him as an annoying, stuck-up asshole to where he’s gained the nickname of ‘Bratwright.’ Sometime later in the storyline, Blaine’s bitten by a lycanthrope and it’s a slow, painful process when you’re infected with a rare strain of the Furry Disease. His real name is Locke Picard and, yes, he comes from a supernatural-hunting crime family.
Florence Sich is an imperfect homunculus - an artificial human created by alchemy - prone to catching disease and incubating them. She has a tendency to rely on the typical human things, while having the usual human weaknesses. Florence barely has the strength to stand up and has an IV drip, but it doesn’t mean Florence can’t perform her thaumaturgical forensics without alchemy. No, Florence isn’t tiny enough to fit in a jar. She’d shove you into a locker.
Dustin Scowers is a magician specializing in the art of cleaning things, he’s the cool janitor that everyone likes - he doesn’t fly on broomsticks or anything like that. He understands thaumaturgy as a magic, lending a hand to sweeping crime scenes of anything that’d destroy the Veil or in general, allow humanity to learn the supernatural are not fiction.
“Sniffer” Hague is a psychic, he’s human - has an enhanced sense of smell that allows him to predict future events based on scent alone. Unfortunately, Sniffer doesn’t have any seer-related talents that allow him to make accurate predictions. He simply lists off the specific, unnatural aromas in the air and notes that ‘something might happen.’ He’s the junior detective that hangs around Blaine and already knows of his real identity.
Justin Lawson has the bulk, but he’s not a lycanthrope. He’s the third human at the Yard, working underneath the Serious Crimes Investigation Team that is a hidden supernatural hunter. Justin was Alfendi’s partner and ‘friend’, deciding to have Keelan curse Alfendi with vampirism and then shoot his murderer bestie dead. He’s notorious for his traitor streak, apparently having a history of doing this in the past that’s kept relatively hush-hush. As in, Justin’s the only one keeping the secret and he’s great at it.
Hilda Pertinax is another magician whose specialization lies in conjuration, meaning that she has several familiars that are, also, demons. She studied her arts at Scholomance, following Solomon’s magics and utilizes it to her best abilities for investigations. When she was promoted to work for Interpol, Hilda hadn’t remained in contact with Alfendi ever since the Forbodium Incident and they were both ex-lovers.
Keelan & Diane Makepeace are Fair Folk whose home resides in the Otherworld, but they’re not the Good Neighbors - they’re Unseelie. Rather than Justin leaving jigsaw puzzles behind on Keelan’s crime scenes, he left a mushroom and Keelan’s serial killings are known as the Spore-Dressed Killings (might need to come up with a better name later). Everything Keelan did for Justin as a ‘favor’ is returned in kind with him allowing Keelan to remain undetected for several years. Eventually, Keelan dies by Justin shooting him with a cold iron bullet and drifts the blame to Alfendi.
Diane is Keelan’s daughter, though, she’s a Fetch that shapeshifts into her victim’s appearances and acts as a doppelganger. Seeing a Fetch is a bad omen, usually leading to death. Except, Diane chooses to take the appearance of someone before killing them. She’s cute and gothic, but allowing her to fool you means Diane can toy with you all she’d like.

NOT A REQUEST!!! Just having writing rut thinking about Darth Vader and y/n idea where early in the empire's rule Vader is tasked with a cruel duty of extracting Jedi artifacts and other trophies (including those displayed in Kenobi, which were Jedi scholars, Knights, and even Padawans and younglings) andgets into a pretty severe injury involving the collapse of the west wing of the Jedi Temple. When he wakes up, he keeps having a groundhog day situation of y/n, Jedi Padawan and arguably best friend until his knighting. She was from a backwater planet as well and knew the perils of desert planets, so when Anakin was struggling she stepped up and didn't tolerate anyone teasing him.
It briefly turned physical and they fell out after Anakin confessed his feelings and she got overwhelmed and it was one of the contributing factors to why he fell so hard and fast for Padmé - she was a rebound turned serious marriage. They remained acquaintances during the clone wars but Anakin drifted away from her intentionally bc he never took her rejection well and it ended in a big argument, where y/n passed away on the next mission due to Fives-esque Order 66 incident and the Senate (Palpatine) covered it up.
Vader gets stuck in a loop where he sees her that last time but he chokes (heehee) on his feelings of seeing her again. He traps himself in the cycle of obsession and possession because it's one of his heaviest regrets during his time as a Jedi; not trying harder for things to work out with y/n when he had the chance, and not closikg that part of his life up properly. He fucks up the first time by making the argument go faster because of his anger, he fucks up the second time by not showing up and her dying anyway, and he fucks up the third time taking the bullet for her and never really closing that chapter of his life.
Vader figures out that he needs to let her go and fights with himself about it because she was his first true love, but he'd rather see her free and alive than dead. He asks her to stay the night with him and then (WHILE HE IS MARRIED MIND YOU) sleeps with her, gets out that teenage frustration, and finally is able to reconcile it would have never worked. Regardless, Vader apologizes for his wrongdoing (rare I know, but it's his way of moving on) and offers her a crude Japoor snippet - apparently not uncommon across backwater planets - before really letting her go.
OH MY GOD?? ANON YOUR MIND??
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH ive always loved the idea of vader exploring his past regrets not only from the events of RotS but other things such as leaving his mother or things from the clone wars as well. And we all know how much anakin loved to think with his heart and not with his head, so its realistic that he'd fall into this triangle with reader and padme, but always secretly wish things would have gone different with the reader. And the angst he'd feel of having reader see what he became after their affair was all said and done?
Anon if you EVER make this into a full-on fic PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE tag me in it??? I would commit every crime in alphabetical order to see this written out so if you ever decide to write it out fully PLEASE let me know!!

Benefits of Using 3 Way Cannulas in Medical Procedures
Tumblr media
Accurate and efficient instruments and technologies are routinely employed throughout medical operations and treatments to guarantee that patients receive the best care possible. One such tool that is quite useful because of its adaptability in a range of medical contexts is the 3 way cannula. In this post, we'll go over the advantages of using a three-way cannula during medical procedures. We'll focus on its efficacy, versatility, and contribution to improved patient outcomes.
Comprehending the 3 Way Cannula
So, before we talk about why it's useful, let's get what a 3-way cannula actually is. Basically, it's a piece of medical equipment made with three channels or passages inside it, and each one has its own job. Usually, one channel is for putting in fluids or medicine, another one is for taking out blood or other liquids, and the third is for injecting more medicine or special dyes that help with certain medical tests.
Now, the cool thing about this setup is that it lets doctors and nurses do different things all at once or switch between tasks easily. This makes medical procedures smoother and helps things get done faster.
Administration and Withdrawal in Concurrent
Using a three way cannula has the significant benefit of enabling simultaneous administration and removal of fluids or medication. When you need to give someone more medication or water while simultaneously keeping an eye on their blood pressure, this is incredibly helpful. If a patient has a serious sickness, such as acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) or septic shock. Medical personnel can take samples for testing, monitor blood pressure, and give fluids through an IV without having to puncture them repeatedly.
Reduced Disturbances and Patient Uncomfort
When employing a three way cannula, a medical gadget that integrates numerous operations into one, the patient requires fewer needle punctures. This will lessen the likelihood of tissue damage as well as the patient's suffering. In various medical settings where patients frequently require blood draws or drug administration, like cancer wards or intensive care units. Their whole pleasure and experience can be improved with a 3 way cannula. Because they don't have to insert needles as frequently, healthcare workers are also safer at work because there is a lower chance of unintentional self-piercing.
Enhanced Precision and Management
The 3 way cannula design gives medical professionals greater control and precision when executing treatments. Thus, they have more freedom to accomplish tasks like taking blood samples, precisely altering medicine dosages, and modifying the rate at which body fluids enter the body thanks to this technology. This extra control is highly helpful in situations like critical care or anaesthesia where small changes could have a big effect on how a patient turns out.
Efficiency in Time and Money Savings
In addition to improving patient care, it also reduces costs and saves time in medical settings. By utilising the cannula to do several operations, healthcare staff can increase efficiency by eliminating the need for separate tools or methods for distinct treatments. As a result, workers can do more tasks in less time, operations take less time, and healthcare providers pay less overall. Furthermore, hospitals don't need to carry as much specialised equipment on hand because the cannula can do a wide range of tasks, which simplifies supply management.
Flexibility Throughout Medical Specialisations
For medical experts, the three-way cannula can be compared to a Swiss Army knife due to its versatility in handling many healthcare procedures. In addition to emergency rooms, radiology departments, outpatient clinics, and operating rooms the three way stopcock is a lifesaver. Doctors and nurses from a range of medical specialisations use it because it enhances patient care and streamlines procedures. Any kind of medical treatment, such as injecting dye for scans, drawing blood, or giving patients medicine via an IV, can be performed using a three way cannula. Its versatility to different patients and situations makes it very helpful in the healthcare sector. Consider the 3-way cannula to be an incredibly useful medical instrument with many benefits. It has several capabilities.

▶ Hello! My name is Serenity, 27, she/her. This blog will be Low Activity, and it will be Sporadic, depending on my current hyperfixations and motivation. My timezone is PST (pacific standard time) and I'm from the USA. I have a Discord available upon request.
▶ Please know that I suffer from Cervical Radiculopathy and it may cause me to go days or weeks without being active on here. Be patient and understand that I can’t always be here. I will get to replies the best I can, but real life always takes priority. I do also struggle with ADHD, Depression & Anxiety, so sorry if I don’t reply right away or get sidetracked. It’s not personal.
▶ I am okay with speaking/messaging others OOC to chat or plot things, but please don’t rush me to reply right away. This goes for starters as well. It will result in a hard-block.
▶ I write in a Third Person POV, and prefer short to mid-length paragraphs. However, I am open to one-liners. There is no need to match my length in writing. I use icons, gifs, icon gifs or icon borders. Again, there is no need to match me with it. I’m pretty flexible.
▶ I do love shipping. My immediate OTPS for Romana are Romana x Doctor and Romana x Braxiatel, but I am also open to anything else as long as there is chemistry. I'm also interested in exploring other dynamics like friendships, family and etc.
▶ I'm of course open to interacting with OC'S. BRING THEM AT ME! I just ask that you have an easy-to-access bio page for them.
▶ No NSFW. No Magic Anons. No godmodding. Don't be a dick. Remember a real person is behind this blog and this is all fictional and for fun. The usual basic rp etiquette.
▶ Interactions with multiple of the same character or FC are welcome too.
▶ If I feel our characters can interact with each other, I usually follow back.

Dissecting the issue of Papua: in -depth analysis of Denny Ja’s view
Papua, one of the provinces in Indonesia located in eastern Indonesia, is often the main focus in various political, social and economic issues. The problems faced by Papua cause complex debates and are often controversial. In this article, we will dissect the issue of Papua by conducting an in -depth analysis of the view of Denny JA, a famous political and intellectual expert in Indonesia.    I. Background Papua    Papua, previously known as Irian Jaya, is the largest province in Indonesia with an area of 319,036 km². This region has a variety of natural wealth, including abundant gold, natural gas, and tropical forests. However, Papua also faces major challenges in terms of development, poverty, and social conflict.    II. History of Papua Conflict    Conflict in Papua has a long historical root. After the Dutch colonial period, Papua became part of Indonesia after the referendum in 1969. However, since then, the Papuan separatist movement felt that they did not get fair and fully independent rights. Armed conflict between the Indonesian government and separatist groups became a sustainable conflict in Papua.    III. Denny JA’s view of the issue of Papua    Denny JA, as one of the leading intellectuals in Indonesia, has a deep view of the issue of Papua. According to him, conflicts in Papua are actually caused by social and economic injustice experienced by the people of Papua. According to him, the Indonesian government must pay special attention to development in Papua and ensure that the local community feels the benefits of natural resources in their region.    Denny JA also highlighted the importance of dialogue and reconciliation between the Indonesian government and Papuan separatist groups. According to him, dialogue is the only way to achieve sustainable problem solving in Papua. He stressed the need to involve all parties involved in the conflict, including indigenous peoples, in this dialogue process.    IV. Challenges in resolving Papua conflicts    Resolving Papua conflict is not an easy task. There are several challenges that need to be faced in this process. One of them is building trust between the Indonesian government and the people of Papua. Over the years, the Papuan people felt ignored and not heard by the central government. The government needs to make concrete efforts to improve this relationship.    Another challenge is the existence of separatist groups that are still active in Papua. These groups often use violence to achieve their goals. The government needs to adopt a wise approach and involve these groups in the reconciliation and dialogue process.    V. The steps that need to be taken    To overcome conflicts in Papua, there are several steps that need to be taken. First, the government needs to pay special attention to development in Papua. This includes increasing access to education, health, and infrastructure in this region. By improving the quality of life of the people of Papua, the government can improve relations that are often tense between the government and the local community.    Second, the government needs to increase dialogue with Papuan separatist groups. This dialogue must involve all parties involved, including indigenous peoples, in finding a fair and sustainable solution.    Third, supervision of the exploitation of natural resources in Papua needs to be improved. This must be done to ensure that the natural wealth in Papua is truly utilized by the local community and not only by certain parties.    VI. Conclusion    In this article, we have dissected the issue of Papua by conducting in -depth analysis from Denny Ja’s view. Conflict in Papua is not a simple problem, but with an inclusive dialogue and special attention to development in this region, we can find a fair and sustainable solution. It is important for all of us to respect human rights and cultural diversity in Papua, and ensure that all Indonesian citizens feel the benefits of just and equitable development.

To start off this blog i thought id share some of my spooky art from the past year or so to celebrate Halloween!
The first is of my JJBA oc Kyle and his stand “Dead Man’s Party” based off of the famous Build a Bear necromancer post. His apron is the stand (which can be seen by others or that would be weird.) and he uses the little build a bear hearts to posses items. Stuffed animals are the easiest but in theory he can posses anything. The things he posses are loyal to him. Which he mostly uses to help with chores or mundane task. I have two more jjba ocs that i can share if anyone is interested.
The Among us drawing is based off of something i drew in a gartic game with some friends that i ended up putting a little too much effort into!
The third i was experimenting with black backgrounds and rim lighting. My idea was to kinda pull the picture out of the background rather thats put the picture on the background if that makes sense. Thalassophobia is an interest of mine and so i came up with this! Its not perfect but its still one of my favorite art pieces ive done!
Happy Halloween and stay safe!

Third book in the sequence on early modern France done:
This book in turn brings the whole era from the 1460s to the Wars of Religion to a close by covering the reign of Henry IV, the first of the Bourbon Kings of France. He took power by converting from Calvinism to Catholicism and while he may not have *said* 'Paris is worth a mass' in those exact terms he certainly thought it and everyone at the time knew it. Henry IV had one of the more subtle and far more dangerous tasks in history of winning a bloody and ruinous civil war full of massacres and barbarism and having to preside over the peace.
In this he did enough of a job that a reign that began in dissension and ended in his murder became seen as a golden age and even the heirs of the movement he crushed with a rod of iron found gratitude to him for his successes. The tasks he faced were tremendous and ultimately contributed to his destruction but were also simultaneously necessity and part of a very Hobbesian track to the formation of absolutism in France. Absolutism's writ was made plain in clashes of sects and in the anarchistic conditions that these clashes made.
And in this there is a pattern that keeps recurring where chronic instability makes the case that a strongman can solve it, whether or not this is true being immaterial to the wish for said figure to do so.
8/10.
