Dunno, but the thing about him is... whether or not you were prepared to announce your relationship at that exact moment, he had probably been thinking about it already AT LEAST... so while you're squirming around trying to make him let you go because you don't want him to be be upset... he's just sitting there refusing to let you go and glaring daggers at everyone in case they have shit to say.
