A bit ago I did a whole-ass set of warlocks based on D&D 5e subclasses - mostly for fun and also because my RP group was planning a warlock game. I didn't HAVE to draw one of each but doing so DID help me decide which one I wanted to play (this is, to note, why the characters are all pretty fem-coded - because that's my favorite to RP) Anyway, after I drew them all, folks asked if I'd do other classes too. And I was like, maybe? But, sorcerer did sound fun to do this with so over the last few months I've been working on them kinda on the side while I put most my energy in, like, the commissions I need to finish lol. But here, a bunch of theoretical sorcerers I'd personally play in a game:

Let's start us off with Iris, a half-elf who'd be living a pretty normal life in a normal job (I was thinking she was probably a waitress or somethin) until she finds something weird - a piece of a meteor or something, you know how it goes. Suddenly she has powers, and that's where her adventure would begin More sorcerers under the cut!

Tally I struggled with because, as it turns out, little mechanical fairy wings are complicated to draw. BUT also fun - I liked the idea of a fairy who's lost her wings and while she's trapped in the material plane she befriends a clockmaker who builds her little wings for her and eventually her magic ends up kind of syncing up with the mechanical way he teaches her about the world

Elysia was actually the last one I drew, since I have a DIFFERENT Divine Soul sorcerer I've already designed and want to play as a priority, but then I happened to see something about Greek gods while watching TV one day and thought, oh hey, that'd be a fun way to play with a divinity-themed sorcerer - maybe a musician that caught the affections of a god who blessed her with magic

Cherish is a cheerful tiefling working at an inn with her former-adventurer mother. We can guess what sort of things her mother got up to in her adventure since she ended up raising a child with some mysteriously draconic features

NGL Aine was just a way for me to play with some of the inspirations I used to cling to as a kid. Sailor Moon and other various bits of anime and JRPGs and such that I loved in my youth and used a LOT to inspire art. I wanted to remember that - and a catgirl wearing too many belts sounded perfect for that

Leila is probably my weirdest - she's SPECIFIC, like if there's a campaign set in the Shadowfell or something, I imagined a maid working in a mansion that gets magicked away to this realm and her gaining that shadow power when it happens

One of my first 5e characters was a storm sorcerer - more focused on rain and lightning and thunder. I used the same hair color and close to the same skin color to make this new storm sorcerer as a bit of a nod to that character, and wanted this one more focused on winter storms (including making her a winter eladrin elf)

and last but certainly not least, Gemma the halfling cursed with wild magic. I think she started off her adventuring life with a thieves' group before they found the wrong magic artifact. You know how it goes

On the character of Lady Macbeth - Dr. Emil Pfundheler: paper that explains the same point made in the previous post, using the text to explain. Written in 1873 so explains gender as a dichotomy, but once you take that out, its points are very good.

Characteristics of women: moral, political, and historical - Anna Jameson: aka Why Lady Macbeth is not inherently evil— same topic and the other two, but focuses a bit on the fact that she is A Woman. Not my favorite, but worth reading I suppose. Also includes analyses of many female Shakespeare characters. It does include some very bad history in the beginning— Gruoch did not orchestrate Duncan’s murder. That’s something Hector Boece made up.

Lady Macbeth: “Infirm of purpose” (from The Woman’s Part: Feminist Criticism of Shakespeare) - Joan Larsen Klein: on how she both fits and doesn’t fit the idea of a reinassance wife— doesn’t fit because she isn’t aligned to god (this read more like a Christian analysis than a feminist one if I’m being honest), but fits them because she behaves like one, only subverts them because she’s like, the evil murder girl version of the Wife. The essay right after this one is also very good.

The Hysteria of Lady Macbeth: required reading if you wanna play her Btw not kidding. Analyzes her character thru the lens of freudian psychology. Screws up the text of the play a bit but provides an actual in-depth explanation of how sonnambulism works. Note that "hysteria" is not a current psychological diagnosis, but a symptom of other conditions. Still extremely interesting.

The Macbeths - G. K. Chesterton: analysis of their relationship, makes some interesting point on the differences of the nature of their ambition and desire to kill the king

Shakespeare’s tragic frontier; the world of his final tragedies - Willard Farnham: this one is long but oh boy does it go deep. Talks about the lore of the witches, explains historical context to find out how the real events were so screwed up, makes an interesting point about Macbeth’s conscience against Lady Macbeth’s, and lastly talks about the tragic world of Macbeth compared to other tragedies.

Women’s fantasy of manhood: a Shakespearean theme - D. W. Harding: exactly what it says on the tin, using ladymac and her skewed (and I’d call romanticized) idea of what a man is that she pushes on Macbeth. So yeah, talks about the gender theme. Also talks about Goneril from Lear, Cleopatra, and Volumnia from Coriolanus and how they fit the theme— although ladymac is the only one who goes downhill from it.

Unnatural women in William Shakespeare’s Macbeth - Elizabeth Klett: I’ll be honest I didn’t love this one a lot. Basically talks about how every woman in Macbeth defies gender roles. Doesn’t go too deep however. But the book has a ton of essays analyzing female characters in classic lit.

ayo what's poppin it's gemma here ( s/h, 21+ ) & i am so beyond excited for opening day! i'll be writing for the park i canon, park jeongho, the mayor's son & current chairman of the urban construction committee! i've got a ton more info under the cut ( mild tw for abuse ) cause as usual i haven't learnt to shut my trap but if you're at all keen to plot with me please hit that LIKE button! would definitely prefer d*scord but i can do tumblr ims too ( just afraid of the shadowban ya kno )! but yes tysm mwah!

speaking directly to my sisters in the church of astrology he's a scorpio sun ( mysterious n evil coded basically ) / taurus moon ( craves stability ) / cap rising ( hardworking & efficient lil bastard ) so yeah he's a bit mad to say the least

only child of park jeongwon, the current mayor! to understand jeongho you need to understand a little bit about the parks, but essentially every way in which they move comes with a political agenda so it's no surprise that his parents' marriage is fully a political arrangement! the point of the marriage was to sire an heir and once jeongho was born his mom peaced the fuck out of parenting and went on her merry way living as the jobless wife of the wealthiest man in town! she probably had intended to care for jeongho to some degree but she peaced out honestly for survival ( more on that in the next dot point )

that said jeongho was brought up almost entirely by his father and what i mean by that is he was brought up by the help and criticised often by his father. jeongwon in a nutshell is a smart man honestly prodigy level smart ( think one of those kids who don't study and gets 100% on a test cause the answer is just "common sense" ) with zero empathy so what you get is a grating narcissist who thinks they're better than einstein and he expects no less of his son! most of jeongho's childhood was his father asking for jeongho's test scores and when it's not up to par he just gets smacked and berated and called an idiot kid and honestly he's not much nicer to his wife which is why she made herself scarce

that was essentially the entirety of jeongho's childhood and it lends to his ocpd which he developed at a relatively young age! most people mistake it for ocd but it's really not that he just has an extreme obsession with perfectionism, order and control so he gets irrationally upset when things are not absolutely perfect like everything in his wardrobe is colour-coded and organised by attire type and everyone needs to wash their hands before interacting with him and the help must clean the parts of the house that any human walks through so yeah it's honestly pretty bad but in typical ocpd style he sees no issue with this and thinks other people are just lazy and unclean

anyway as per usual after high school he fucks off to the army and serves in the navy! he chose the navy mostly because jeongho had found goero's ocean to be really calming and had spent a lot of his youth swimming there when he needed to escape his dad! it's when he's in the army that he finds out his cousin passes which honestly is a shame because he liked jeongbin but at the end of the day jeongho wasn't really super close to him so it was kind of whatever

...which explains why he decides it's a good idea to scoop the late jeongbin's girlfriend and attempt to marry her!? as i said everything the parks do is politically motivated and there is no better political move frankly than to marry a yang to combine the park and yang assets so like sorry jeongbin but yeah! outside of those positives jeongho also frankly wanted to marry yang to "win" over his father in terms of choosing a spouse cause obviously his father did not marry a yang ( now's a good time to slip in that this father and son duo are constantly in competition ) and this was really his first ever rebel moment against his dad ( which if you think about it is pretty pathetic )

until his fiance jilted his ass at the altar so now he's the laughing stock of the town and his father is the striking image of mother gothel! after this whole bout jeongho finally and painfully admits that he's lost in this competition with his dad and he is most definitely dumber than his dad and so from here on out he just does everything his control freak of a dad says

father says go to uni so he fucks off to get an undergrad polsci degree then his dad tells him to marry one of his lackey's daughters so he can maintain control over jeongho AND his wife so he fucks off and proposes to shin and now with the land developers coming into goero his dad tells him to run for chairman of the urban construction committee so jeongwon can fully wash his hands of this land developer business ( importantly, he wants jeongho to put a stop to it and make sure no one sells ) so off he goes and that's the reason why he's currently chairman of said committee

cho jiyeon. as said, jeongwon is a really grating man who puts a lot of pressure on his son and constantly berates and belittles him whenever he doesn't get things done and what his father simply cannot understand is how the land developers are still in goero and chalks it up to how useless jeongho is. jiyeon continually bothers the parks and reminds jeongwon that she's still here and jeongho gets yelled at like he's fifteen again and at some point while jiyeon's talking her head off and says something mildly condescending to a "country boy" like him he realises that things would be so much easier if she just... disappeared. anger gets the best of him and you know how the rest of that story goes

anyway yeah jeongho is an absolute asshole sure but he's genuinely not a psychopath so what happened with jiyeon haunts him heaps but he tries his very best to move past it and live life as though she genuinely skipped town but yeah! few years pass and it becomes easier and now we're all caught up!

ok this was so long like you can stop here if you want below is just a bit about his personality / what to expect in interactions with him! also i don't have any plot ideas mostly because it's a skeleton rp and i feel like his relationship with each canon is unique given the political scene and stuff so generic plot ideas are kinda hard but yeah!

ok so personality-wise i would say that given his dad has drilled into him how useless and stupid he is jeongho is very aware that he is not the sharpest tool in the shed so he honestly is willing to hear people out when they talk to him! don't get me wrong he's definitely proud but he's not proud enough to think that he doesn't need anyone's help because he knows all kings have their advisors and he needs them! no shame in the game! ( also to clarify he's not actually stupid he's probably more just the type of person that gets good grades because he works hard and is organised and does all his assignments before it's due and not the type that gets up the day of the assignment due date and does it within an hour and gets a high distinction for it )

his father is also a really grating man to everyone else because he is smart so he thinks he doesn't need anyone cause everyone's suggestions are always dumb compared to him and his father often burns bridges but! because jeongho is aware of his weaknesses he is not that type of person so while he may feel a certain way about you he definitely is the sort to put on a polite enough facade! one thing he tends to do is the compliment sandwich where he can say something insulting in a not-totally-aggressive way and with a smile then sandwich it between normal conversation to make you think wait... did he just insult me or did i hallucinate it? maybe he just doesn't realise how he's coming across because of his upbringing? yeah

also to tack onto all this he is a very efficient guy and a proud workaholic ( also thanks to his ocpd ) so you'll see in interactions with him that he tends to move rather fast and speak rather direct and just operates at practically 2x speed! very much a say something useful or don't say anything at all type of person and he can be rather dismissive if he feels the conversation is not going to be fruitful within the first few sentences

also re: his ocpd things have to exist in a certain order and he expects a level of perfectionism always and there's a certain set of rules that you may need to learn especially if you're interacting with him frequently ( applies more to people who live and work with him )

all of this is about work but of course jeongho does lighten up from time to time! he has a group of friends who honestly it's questionable if they like him or his status but i imagine jeongho's life is something like the truman show where you have so much power that people are often pandering to you and you just think everyone is like that cause you're great when in reality they want something from you! but point is he does hang out and drink and fuck a lot and he's uhm certainly not loyal to his wife so there's that! will say though that he is very picky about the company he keeps and the people who know the "real" him

High and Low The Worst Episode 0 + High and Low the Worst

Il nemico del mio nemico è mio amico

Sono tornati. E più belli che mai.

Non mentirò: fino a quando non ho ripreso in mano la Saga di High and Low non avevo idea di tutti questi nuovi drama/film.

D'altronde dopo High and Low: the story of SWORD, High and Low 2, Road to High&Low, High&Low The Movie e High&Low The Red Rain e gli ultimi due film High & Low: End Of Sky e The Final Mission, uno pensa che finiranno ad una certa!

Ero rimasta alla fine di High and Low e la vittoria dei Nostri contro i cattivi e sapevo che mi mancava solo la serie DTC per chiudere il cerchio di tutta la storia. Certo, avevo adocchiato anche la presenza di The Worst - sia drama che film - ma l'avevo preso più come uno spin-off di High and Low, facilmente saltabile poiché non si parlava più delle vicende dello SWORD.

La mia presa di posizione era centrata In virtù anche del fattore emotivo: nessuno avrebbe mai potuto prendere il posto di Cobra, Rocky, HYUGA... sono personaggi così amati e così entrati nel profondo del mio cuore che pensare di poter affezionarmi ad altri personaggi, ad un altra storia, pareva pura utopia.

Pareva.

Perché dopo la serie ad a metà del film successivo, mi sono ritrovata a commentare sorridendo:- " alla fine ti ci affezioni a questi piccoli mostri."

Ma andiamo con ordine:

La serie - tra i due prodotti - è quella che mi è piaciuta meno. Fondamentalmente è una presentazione dei ragazzi che andranno poi ad essere i futuri protagonisti della storia ( esattamente come la prima stagione di HIGH and LOW presentava i propri componenti e basta!) e che almeno qui, non mi hanno fatto morire, onestamente.

Nota a margine per Todoroki, gemma che splende tra la bigiotteria tutta uguale.

Questo infatti è stato il mio problema con i personaggi presentati: mi sembravano tutti uguali. Nessuna particolarità, mania o caratterizzazione che potesse distinguerlo dalla massa di ragazzini intenti a conquistare la posizione di leader.

In High and Low, ogni gruppo aveva delle particolarità che li differenziava dagli altri: I Rude Boy praticavano parkur e proteggevano la loro baraccopoli, i White Rascal si vestivano tutti di bianco e proteggevano le donne ed i bambini e così via... erano talmente diversificati che li inquadravi subito.

In The Worst invece, oltre all'ambizione di conquistare la vetta dell'Oya, di questi personaggi poco si è parlato.

Ed ecco che allora Todoroki splende. Un po' perché l'ho visto leggere un libro - oggetto mistico al pari del Santo Graal - ed un po' perché la sua determinazione a sconfiggere Murayama e prenderle sempre, era davvero ammirevole.

Ho apprezzato come la sua forza non significasse necessariamente la sua posizione di leader - come ci ricorda Murayama - ma è necessario il carisma per conquistare tutti gli studenti e che questo, lo stesso Todoroki lo capisca nel finale, quando accetta Fujio come capo.

Tra questi baldi giovani alla conquista del trono, vanno notati Tsukasa e Fujio. Se il primo - uno dei più belli, esteticamente parlando - si mostra "dormiente" per gran parte della serie, il secondo passa il tempo con il nonno, facendoci sì vedere il suo buon cuore e l'essere un bravo guaglione ma d'altra parte togliendolo dall'azione per tutta la storia. Infatti Fujio entrerà in scena solo nel film.

Tsukasa poi è quello che mi ha lasciata più perplessa: chiaramente si era iscritto all'Oya per conquistare la vetta al fianco dell'amico ed è bello che si sia "fatto da parte" per amicizia accettando un ruolo "secondario." La perplessità nasce quando lo vedo andare a far a botte con Fujio per superare i propri limiti ed ho pensato che alla fine volesse anche lui partecipare alla corsa per il trono.

Ed invece no.

E la scazzottata allora? che ci siamo andati a fare?!

Va bene, non importa.

Ho visto così tante botte in testa, sediate nei reni e cazzotti in faccia che una rissa in più o una in meno ormai non mi sconvolge manco più.

E finisce così la serie di The Worst, con questi ragazzi che si presentano nelle classi, distruggendo porte, sedie, facce... mentre si urlano addosso imprecazioni ed intanto progettano la conquista del trono.

Ma.

Ma se c'è un trono vuol dire che c'è un RE.

E mi spiace per tutti loro, ma L'UNICO VERO RE è e sarà per sempre Murayama. #stacce

tutta la sua sobrietà in questa gif XD

Che qui, con questa serie e film si conferma uno dei personaggi più belli ed il mio migliore dell'intera saga.

Potrei scrivere un ode su questo personaggio, facendo notare come abbia preso un liceo di ragazzini e l'abbia trasformato in un gruppo capace di stare sullo stesso piano dello SWORD, di poter sedersi allo stesso tavolo con "i grandi " della città. Come ci ricorda la voce narrante nell'intro " Il Liceo Oya contribuisce alla forza dello SWORD".

Oppure potrei parlare della sua evoluzione da tizio forte che sa solo menar le mani a leader capace sotto i consigli di Cobra. Trasformazione che trova il suo apice sul finire di questa serie, quando Murayama nega agli studenti del tempo pieno la partecipazione agli affari dello SWORD. Capolavoro.

Ed infine potrei parlare della sua maturità sul finale del film, quando ormai diventato uomo, lascia il Liceo per diventare finalmente "grande" ed andare avanti con la sua vita, lasciando il passo alla generazione che verrà.

Perché High and Low, tra botte e amicizia, parla anche di cambiamento e crescita e nessuno più di Murayama ha saputo racchiudere questa tematica.

VOTO: 7+

E poi c'è il film.

Solo dopo averlo visto si capisce l'intento della serie precedente: un conto è vedere un centinaio di ragazzi sconosciuti che se la suonano di santa ragione. Un altro è vedere i ragazzi a cui un minimo ti sei affezionata, vederli spaccarsi teste, rotule e ginocchi in maxi risse sotto i ponti.

Ed in effetti, funziona. Funziona perché ho onestamente seguito con attenzione questi combattimenti, preoccupandomi un po' per tutti, riconoscendoli e facendo il tifo per ognuno di loro.

Il film segue diversi filoni che si riuniscono poi nel finale:

Mentre lo SWORD è in guerra con i Doubt e la yakuza, gli studenti a tempo pieno della Oya High sono combattuti tra la guerra delle fazioni all'interno della scuola, il conflitto con la Housen Academy e il tentativo di sconfiggere Kidra, una banda di spacciatori che stanno cercando di infiltrarsi nelle scuole locali.

(la vita impegnatissima degli studenti dell'Oya. E' per questo che non studiano. C'hanno da fa'!)

Murayama, che è il leader della Oya High, trova la sua posizione messa alla prova da un gruppo di ambiziosi nuovi arrivati, soprattutto lo studente trasferito Hanaoka Fujio. ( fonte mydramalist)

Ora, questa è un po' una cazzata perché tranne Todoroki, NESSUNO di questi pretendenti al trono ha mai avuto le palle di sfidare in combattimento Murayama. XD

Ovviamente i più attenti hanno già rizzato le orecchie perché leggendo questa trama c'è una parola che immediatamente dovrebbe far alzare in piedi la gente a festeggiare gasata come un furetto sotto steroidi.

Housen.

La Housen.

Ma io infatti vedevo questi ragazzi pelati con l'uniforme e pensavo:-" io questi lo ho già visti. Ma dove? sto nome non mi è nuovo."

Crows Zero docet.

Ed infatti sono proprio loro: la scuola che nel secondo film di Crows Zero si scontrò contro il Suzuran in un epica guerriglia fatta di pugni, calci, risse e mani in faccia.

Aggiungo che vengono presentati con una delle OST più belle e azzeccate di sempre. Appena ascoltata la loro canzone mi sono precipitata a scaricarla!

In questo film si presentano in una veste nuova, con nuovi attori ovviamente, ma sempre ordinati e preparati come piccoli soldatini super efficienti. e ovviamente pelati

Ma c'è di più: se nel film di Crows Zero, loro erano i "cattivi", i rivali da abbattere, questa volta sono dalla "parte nostra" ... nostri alleati. Ed è un piacere conoscerli in questa veste.

Ho dato il mio cuore a Odajima Yuken, sappiatelo. Con l'addio di Murayama ho trovato una nuova fonte di gioia.

I ragazzi dell'Housen si dimostrano dei delinquenti dal cuore d'oro ( più o meno). Degli specchi dei nostri Oya e vederli combattere tutti assieme è una gioia per gli occhi. Il film infatti, ne approfitta per delinearli e caratterizzarli un po', prima come avversari e poi come alleati.

Tra l'altro, mentre vedevo i ragazzi dell'Housen assaltare un palazzo con delle scale, dopo averle usate a mo' di scudo, pensavo:-" ed io che mi sono emozionata per la battaglia la Fosso di Helm! Guarda questi che stanno a fa'!!! "

Nota di merito poi per Fujio che finalmente viene messo in primo piano ed in relazione con gli altri: come prevedibile risulta avere quel carisma necessario ad unire l'Oya ed in più - per diversificarlo da Murayama - ha quella vena di pazzia ingenua dei bambini che ti lascia piacevolmente sbigottita.

Perché andare sotto casa del Suzuran per spiarne i ragazzi e vedere quanto sono forti è follia.

Mi ricorda un personaggio come Rufy di One Piece: quella sconsideratezza gioiosa che porta il sorriso ovunque vada.

Ma se con l'Housen di toccano i cuori degli amanti di questo genere di drama/film, è con il nome Suzuran che The Worst tocca l'epicità. Prima solo nominato - con riverenza - e poi fattaci vedere solo l'entrata, il film ti alza l'hype a livelli atomici facendoti supporre uno scontro/ sfida / incontro futuro contro i ragazzi del Suzuran.

E ma qui giochi troppo facile! mi sono gasata peggio dei bambini!

Ed infatti andando ai trailer dei prossimi drama/film di High and Low, indovina chi ci sta?!

Tornano i ragazzi della scuola più malfamata del circondario! E l'effetto nostalgia vola altissimo. Io ero anche convinta che non avrei visto più prodotti di High and Low! Ma non si può dir di no all'Housen e al Suzuran.

Tornando al film in questione, due sono le cose che mi hanno lasciata invece più freddina: la prima è la questione di Arata.

L'amico di Fujio che spaccia droga per pagare le spese ospedialiere della madre e tutto il contorno degli amici che si conoscono da bambini è idealmente molto bello. Ma devi farmelo vedere.

Il film e la serie prima ci dicono che Fujio e Takeshi ad esempio sono amicissimi, tanto che il secondo fa da braccio destro al primo, ma non viene mai mostrata questa grande amicizia nata a quanto pare in passato.

Idem per i ragazzi del bar della Nonna. Non basta farmeli vedere da bambini mangiare tutti assieme una volta per farmi percepire la grande amicizia che dovrebbe legarli. Soprattutto se poi ognuno di loro è andato e va per la sua strada.

L'altro problema è lo stesso che riscontro sempre nei drama di High and Low: i villain sono piatti come tavole da surf. Cattivi perché sì, senza nessuna introspezione o profondità che fanno cose malvagie perché gli va. Sono tutti uguali, tanto che da Ranmaru alla yakuza, per passare ai Dubt e adesso a questi Kidra, se ci metti dei cartonati al loro posto, sarebbe uguale.

Detto questo, The Worst è un bel film per chi piace veder menar le mani in modo coreografico:

ha un buon ritmo, una storia un po' contorta per gli standard di questo genere ma che poi si semplifica verso il finale, due grandi ritorni che toccano il cuore dei nostalgici come me e belle scene d'azione.

Il combattimento contro l'Housen prima e il Kidra poi è spettacolare: musiche, inquadrature, montaggio... una bella visione che non può non emozionare gli amanti delle scazzottate.

Con questo film, High and Low di apre a nuovi protagonisti che hanno un ardua missione: non far rimpiangere le colonne portanti di High and Low. Ci riusciranno? Per me è ancora troppo presto per giudicare, avendo visto solo un drama e un film ma voglio dargli fiducia.

Il pezzo forte di High and Low, oltre alle botte e ai bei messaggi d'amicizia, erano i personaggi, le loro personalità e le loro introspezioni.

Fujio può essere un buon protagonista, diverso da tutti gli altri dello SWORD. Todoroki può interpretare il freddo ma costante contraltare del leader, così come Tsukasa e Jamuo possono diventare interessanti.

Va capito se anche gli altri prodotti di The Worst prenderanno i ragazzi dell'Housen come "protagonisti" o li lasceranno in secondo piano. Ricordo che in High and Low, la serie era iniziata con Cobra ed i suoi amici come protagonisti, per poi virare sugli altri leader dello SWORD, fino ad arrivare ad approfondire Murayama, per dire. Faranno una cosa simile anche per questa storia?

Oh, a me, se mi mettono l'Housen come "protagonisti" mi va benissimo, eh!

Ed infine l'ultima cosa che ci tengo a dire:

per quanto io ami alla follia le storie di ragazzi - di cui il 99% ha superato l'adolescenza da anni - che si gonfiano per diventare il capo della scuola e le storie di scuole VS scuole, onestamente non vorrei vedere di nuovo questa dinamica.

In Crow Zero assistevamo alla scalata di Genji e nel secondo film alla battaglia del Suzuran contro l'Housen. In High and Low The Worst episode 0, seppure in misura minore, abbiamo avuto lotte per la conquista della vetta e con il film, una lotta contro un altra scuola.

Qua si è differenziato con le scuole che si univano contro gli spacciatori ed ho apprezzato il cambio di mood e vorrei che rimanesse così.

Ho un po' paura infatti, di vedere sempre la stessa dinamica sapendo già che la versione di Crow Zero rimarrà imbattibile.

Vedremo cosa accadrà.

Anche perché risulterebbe inevitabile. Con la divisione dei ragazzi dell'Oya in studenti a tempo pieno e part-time, questi ultimi non possono più partecipare agli affari dello SWORD. Ciò significa che se anche i ragazzi di High And Low si trovassero ad affrontare nemici da ogni parte, Fujio e compagnia non potrebbero essere presenti.

Ed ecco quindi che per loro, l'unica possibilità di scontro è con le altre scuole.

Hi 💌 I love the idea that mb H would take her home to meet his mum and sister at some point and she’d be really nervous and shy and a little skittish because that’s just her personality and maybe even hiding behind him a little but he forces her to step out and take some of the attention. And I just know Anne and Gemma would adore her, especially for their Harry. And they would see how taken he is with her. And she’d look like an English cottage dream wife and not even know it, because again, that’s just who she is. (And vice versa, he would be a bloody dreamboat to her, however contrary to her, he knows he has an allure and he likes to play with her and push her buttons because of it). I also love the idea of mb H taking her out with a group of his friends (ooh! or having a large dinner party with his friends over at his house? Very DWD in my head. I like that a lot. Niall would be there of course - oh how my Narry heart flutters), and her getting a chance to see how loved and charismatic he is, and her feeling special that he chose her and that he’s showing affection to her in front of everyone.

Random squirrely thought: Does she end up bringing life to his home? Decorating it? Making it dreamier, infusing their personalities?

Also daily babbles on things I love in MB: I love the playfulness of him putting her shoes out of reach. I love that cheekiness. I love the really soft sugar daddy vibes it’s giving without being obnoxious, like him buying a dress for her and laying it out and dressing her like she’s a doll. Taking care of her. Giving her the best of the best. Or that he picks her up from under her armpits like a child. I love the very subtle examination kink when he asks to inspect her tongue, or the other time when he asks “should we check?” To see if she’s made a mess in his boxers, and she squeals trying to get away. Too cute. I love that she has moments of not understanding the play, like when she gets so sad thinking she’s actually disappointed him, and he quickly reassures her and brings her right back into the moment. That’s too real. There are so many parts like that, that just pull on my heartstrings at the realness of her vulnerability and insecurities and desire to please.

This story, at least in my mind, has allusions to Little Freak. How she’s almost completely unaware of the affect she has on him. His absolute infatuation with her. Not sure if you planned it that way, and I hope it’s not offensive to say. If that’s not how you meant it then I totally understand!!!

ahhh you're so kind 🥹 i'm very much writing my dream man in MB so it makes me very happy that you love him too !!! (examination kink, in very subtle cases like you said, tied in with the humiliation and degradation is so yummy :O). moments of y/n not understanding the play was so important to me too, because she's so in her head it just made sense that she'd panic about it a bit. i rarely read things in which y/n takes things very literally, and that's me to a T so i felt i had to represent that a little. just so worried about causing a problem all the time. it's exhausting !!! lol

story behind url : it's nothing special, really. I wanted to have an overall BG3 related url that wouldn't be tied/related to just one character and this was the first one that popped into my mind, idk the word itself is pretty, a bit serene, and magical.

fun fact about me : I discovered a love for the fantasy genre because of my mom. it started way back in 2001, I was in 4th grade, and we read all the new and popular fantasy books. we tried watching LoTR, but ended up fully watching the first movie, only half of the second one and none of the third, because I was scared of the monsters :D but eventually, I got over my childhood trauma, my husband showed me all the movies during the first year of dating and I actually really liked them.

okay so first up! ben barnes as david (thankfully not young johnny depp): i see it but i just dont think he really works for david, a little too chiselled imo

Both of these women look like they would host bake off (this does not disqualify someone from playing zanna) It’s so hard to tell when they’re not all gothed up, zanna through a pressure washer fr 😭😭

Gemma Arterton feels closeish for me I think! She needs grunging up though. Zanna is a henry cavil kinda thing where whatever actress plays her needs to get hotter when fucked up (affectionate) yknow? The opposite of ‘she polishes up nice’

Summer '23

Rylee was partying with a group of teens in the ruins. When everyone left Rylee stayed and kept dancing around the bonfire. She was alone. It began to become more foggy... a black truck drove up. A woman got out of the truck walked towards Rylee and hit her on the head, she was knock out cold. The women dragged her body to the back of the truck and drove off.

Rylee was missing for months. Her brother Ryan contacted everyone for help to find his sister. Night and Day. Nothing. No trace of her where about. Until one afternoon, Ryan got a call from an unknown number...

"We will contact you soon.."

This continue for a few more weeks into Fall. Little Violet just turned four. Ryan and his family had come to terms that Rylee is never coming back. And they needed to move on with life.

One Day Rylee Westmoore will be found...

Rylee was always gonna die some way, some how. I never wanted her to live a life. BUT it could change. She could live and be in a mental hospital after the trauma she goes through. And might even end up killing one or two sims.

Okay, system story time

(disclaimer, this is relative to me and my system, all systems are different and this may vary from others experiences)

When I first became host (2017-ish) I had no real connection to our inner world and no real form in there, since then this has changed.

We knew I wasn’t fully human, and the first assumption, from my behaviours, was some kind of cat.

This stuck for about three years and then I split with Gemma who kept what used to be my inner world human form, leaving me very different to before.

The new running beliefe was that I was a goat, many of my behaviours had changed and we discovered I had horns.

Held the idea of goat for about 2 years until someone irl pointed out that I “hoarded things like a dragon.”

And well, it just made sense. And it fit.

I still don’t know what I look like in my first form only my second, but the others have told me certain things like my size, colour, and other basics.

So yeah. Pipeline I guess.

gemma's favourite dates are ones where she can talk freely with her date to get to know them better. lunches and dinners at the finest restaurants are always her go-to date idea since they allow her to sit down and really get to know her date. if time is an issue, she is happy to sit down over a cup of coffee as well. gemma also really loves museum dates, but only if her date also has an interest in art. she loves going to art galleries with noah because she feels like they can really bond over their shared interest.

Q — QUESTION : would your muse ask the big question or expect their partner to?

even though gemma really likes to paint herself as an independent woman who makes her own decisions, she really wants noah to propose to her. for once, she kind of just wants to be romanced in her life, especially since she thinks she's missed out on a lot because of her attitude towards dating before. gemma never really thought that she'd ever want to settle down with someone but that all changed when she met noah. he kind of changed her view on relationships and she couldn't imagine being with anyone else but him.

S — SWEETHEART : did your muse have a childhood sweetheart?

gemma did not have a childhood sweetheart because apparently she was 'too busy' to date. she was basically an overachiever when she was in high school. she was on the debate team, the student council, and eventually became the school captain during her senior year. dating was the last thing on gemma's mind during her high school years.

I’m going to take another shot and talk about the events that occurred with Dillon, Tenaya, Gem, and Gemma before the series. Now previously I made a whole analysis, but I was still in my rewatch and there was some information I was lacking that is rather interesting.

To start things off, there are two main places mentioned when it comes to Venjix. There is the famed Venjix Palace, and there is the so-called Venjix Factory. I forgot about this and was assuming they were all one place. I’ve been trying to figure out the timeline of events because there have been some events and happenings that must have happened in a certain order.

We know that Dillon and Tenaya were captured by Venjix. We know that Tenaya and Dillon were part of an escape attempt. That escape attempt was foiled by Kilobyte and grinders. At that point in time, Kilobyte is shown saying “Soon you’ll be one of us.” and Tenaya is thrown into what we’ve seen her be pulled out of as Tenaya 7. And after that, Dillon is held down and the SatBot takes his memories. These flashbacks are crucial to our timeline because if we are led to believe that Tenaya was upgraded after this, then that means that Gem and Gemma must have met Tenaya BEFORE these events.

We know that in the Factory, workers are stuck in cells and forced to work horrific hours under tremendous strain according to Gem and Gemma. They meet Tenaya at the Factory and befriend her before their eventual escape. They specifically mention that she is blind. When Tenaya is upgraded, she gets ocular implants to help her see again, so she must not have been upgraded during the period of the factory. Which means Dillon was still imprisoned somewhere and had yet to escape.

Here’s the thing, why were Gem and Gemma in a cell together but Tenaya and Dillon were not? I could take a couple cracks at it, but my ultimate guess is based on Dillon and Tenaya’s subject numbers. Dillon is D-44, and Tenaya is D-78 according to the Venjix computer. Which means that Dillon was logged first and Tenaya later, quite a few subjects later actually. Which can only lead me to presume that at some point Dillon got captured while away from Tenaya or he managed to make a long enough distraction for her to get away, but she was captured again not long after.

So Dillon and Tenaya get captured slightly off from one another. They end up in the Factory. Gem and Gemma meet Tenaya. Gem and Gemma escape. Now, at some point Dillon and Tenaya were both sent to Venjix’s Palace. Why? I’m not certain, doesn’t really matter probably. But they both end up there with the express purpose to be turned into hybrids. This is when I think the flashbacks on the tables occur, the one where Dillon is hooked up to all those wires and he sees Tenaya on a table next to him. He realizes Tenaya is there in the Palace with him, and he manages to escape and takes Tenaya with him. We all know this fails, and Dillon’s memories are taken, and he is upgraded.

I have a few questions about stuff after that. Like if Dillon’s memories were taken and he was upgraded, why would he have the mind to escape? Why doesn’t he remember escaping? If his memories were taken and THEN he was upgraded, why doesn’t he remember being upgraded? I determined the idea that Venjix could alter people physically and then add the nanobot version of its virus to then build upon that and make more machine parts. But, if all Venjix has is that nanotechnology, it would take time to convert someone. Maybe Dillon had already been infected but it hadn’t taken hold of him yet. I don’t know. But that still doesn’t account for his lost memories of how he got out.

PLEASE 🥺 Especially because I've always seen her and Gemma as best buds. Like, her auntie Gem is one of her most favorite people in the world so of course she's over the moon at the idea of getting to have a sleepover with her. And yes, all of what you mentioned is def true and it makes them so happy!

That is the moment in which this ambitious production starts of Disney +, the first developed entirely in Spain, with which the company intends to establish itself as a creator on the unstable board of streaming operators. The story will reach the last days of the genius and will cover four different decades of the 20th century.

The history of Balenciaga began like this. One day, Lourdes Iglesias decided to show a sketch of what would later become the script to Xabier Berzosa, who agreed to become the project's executive producer. Berzosa, who had worked on the films Loreak, Handia or La trinchera infinita, proposed that the directors of the three, José Mari Goenaza, Aitor Arregi and Jon Garaño, take the lead in the story and collaborate with Iglesias in the final development of the film. fiction –this is a biopic, yes, but not a typical one– . The responsibility is tremendous for a team that has decided to portray a character played by Alberto San Juan, who is accompanied in the cast, in which no key person in the designer's life is missing, by names such as Belén Cuesta (Fabiola de Mora y Aragón), José Bengoetxea (Nicolás Bizkarrondo), Adam Quintero (Ramón Esparza), Thomas Coumans (Wladzio D´Attainville), Gemma Whelan (Prudence Glynn) or Cecilia Solaguren (Virgilia Mendizabal).

"It was an irrefutable proposal, possibly the role of the greatest dimension that I have been given in my work in the audiovisual field," acknowledges Alberto San Juan in an office from the first Balenciaga offices created for the occasion. The actor walks the sets dressed as Cristobal Balenciaga would have done, with an outfit sewn from scratch by the series' costume designer, Bina Daigeler. "Cristóbal Balenciaga is a person about whom not much is known, but he is a very interesting guy not only for his value as a creator and as a technician in his trade, but also as a human being." The series will delve into aspects of the couturier's professional life, but also into other aspects of his personal life. Balenciaga married a woman, but lived what in today's eyes can be understood as two affective relationships with men, with the businessman Ramón Esparza and first with Wladzio D'Attainville, a Frenchman of Russian origin who was always considered the great love of the creator and whose death, in 1948, is said to have never been recovered. "The series deals with the contradiction, the conflict created from the prohibition of experiencing desire freely, when it does not coincide with the norm at that time in that society," explains San Juan. “He was a guy who wanted to live on the fringes of politics, no public acceptance in a political sense is known to him, ever, and in a very confusing period such as the Civil War in Spain, the Second World War or the invasion Nazi of France He lived in the contradiction of not wanting to get involved when the story involves you”, he adds. For Jose Mari Goenaga, that attitude towards life has a clear explanation: “We have always imagined his head to be tormented. For the fact of having to have control of everything, but also for living within a family that functioned as a protective helmet so that nothing escaped him. Cristobal Balenciaga existed at a time when expressing himself freely was completely penalized and clashed head-on with his strong religious convictions. “We have not stopped talking about homosexuality. Between us, with Alberto and it's something we didn't know how to give a clear focus to. We have chosen not to hide it, but he is a person who does not talk about this in the series, ”admits the director.

Beyond the twists and turns of the designer's life, Balenciaga will also show the work of someone who is still considered one of the best designers in history today. The costume work has had the aforementioned Daigeler as designer and Pepo Ruiz Dorado as costume designer. “Balenciaga is doing two projects at the same time. You have the normal shooting, which means making costumes for a lot of people, the actors, and there is also the aspect of having to produce all the shows and collections that appear in the scripts”, explains the designer. All the mythical designs that endure in the collective imagination will be in the series, from the tonneau silhouette dresses to the fisherman-inspired coats that the designer saw in his childhood. To do this, the team has had access to the archives held by the firm in Paris, to those of the Galliera museum in the French city and has had the advice of Miren Arzalluz, director of the Paris Fashion Museum and former head of collections of the Balenciaga Museum in Getaria. Even with that clearly invaluable help, it hasn't been easy. "We are facing a problem of fabric suppliers, because what is there now is not the same as it was before," admits the designer.

“Finding heavy wool is very difficult and many fabric suppliers are in London, and since Brexit it is super to work with them. Due to the pandemic there are not the same quantities, there are many that are out of stock, and then there is the issue of gazar [a textile created by Balenciaga in collaboration with the Swiss company Abraham], there is only one supplier and it is not exactly the same as the original ”, deepens. Although Bina Daigeler does not like to talk about numbers, about 200 replica dresses and the outfits of hundreds of participants in the series have come out of her head, assembled from original garments from the 40s, 50s, 60s and 70s. Those are In addition, the decades of the couturier's life in which the make-up director, Karmele Soler, has had to work to achieve a realistic Cristobal. “Making it go through all those ages is really complex, but we have tried not to have too much artifice. A subtle aging has been achieved, finding Balenciaga, but there comes a time when you have to abandon it and focus on Alberto”, explains the make-up artist just before checking that everything is ready for the parade that illustrates these lines.

The look at Cristobal Balenciaga that this series will offer has the approval of the renewed Balenciaga, from whom Berzosa acknowledges that they have only received facilities. The firm headed by Demna Gvasalia pays homage to the designer in its collections and has allowed access to the archives, but also to shoot outside the boutique that the brand has recently recovered and which served as the setting for the return to Haute Couture of the house after 53 years last fall. The interior, yes, has been faithfully reconstructed – the elevator covered in red velvet, the sofas or the clock that hangs in Paris are also there – in the Zinealdea studios in Oiartzun, on the outskirts of Donosti, thanks to the work of the director of art Mikel Serrano. "We have built a world that in some cases no one is going to be able to refute because there is no documentation either, but obviously trying not to turn it into a fantasy, to make it implausible," he says between shots.

For Disney +, the series represents a turning point in its strategy within Spain. They arrive later than other operators to their own production, so the project had to be up to the task. Sofía Fábregas, the company's vice president of original production, defines it as follows: “We were looking for something very big that would speak for itself about the commitment to original production that we are going to make. The idea was to combine local authorship with the international budget and that is the differential that we believe we can contribute”. Now all we have to do is wait for the final result, but don't be fooled. Balenciaga has taken years to start, it has taken its time with the shooting and promises to work as hard or more in its post-production, so it will not hit the screens until 2023.
