On my island, Anabelle loves to make things in the kitchen and share what she makes with her neighbors! She loves to cook in general and got internet famous that way. She also likes to game (what streamer nowadays doesn't), and her favorite types of games are simulators. She's really been into this Maglev Mike dating sim recently...

i’ve never noticed Anabelle before! she’s a pretty cool design actually. technically her species is anteater but she’s designed to look like an armadillo. i always love when AC designs villagers to resemble a species that doesn’t technically exist in the game

It's not a bother at all! Anabelle was my first peppy villager when I started playing New Leaf. With New Leaf being my first game in the series, I can say that she was my introduction to the peppy personality!

Showcasing more villager houses! This time its: Anabelle!

Anabelle first moved in around the time when the game kept throwing anteaters at me. Between random move-ins and island tours alone, I had over five anteater villagers on my island at one point. She was one of the ones I found on a NMT and is my favorite Peppy villager by far. As per usual with this game, her default house was. awful.

With her iconic blue muumuu (sadly not seen here), her favorite song being K.K. Aloha, and owning a decent amount of the rattan set in the past games, I originally wanted to do a more tropical theme for her house. However, I had 2+ other villagers with the rattan set at the time, and didn’t want to go overboard. Her default house has a lot of the simple set, so I went off of that, and aimed for a “this pop-star has moved to a remote island to get away from it all” vibe.

I kept the house bright to match not only her peppy personality, but also the default exterior of her house. Also put some pieces in her favorite colors (green and blue). I like to keep as many default items as I can, and it was pretty easy with this one.

In the past games, Anabelle had the Floral Wall in her house. That doesn’t seem to exist in this game, so I went with the Chic Wall. There also wasn’t any green flooring that I liked, so I added the Natural Flooring to stick with the simple theme, then put down a light blue rug to add some more cool colors and better section off the “living room”.

I like to try to give the villagers as many of the basic amenities of life as possible AND leave room for them to walk around. Villagers cannot shit-step into half block areas like players can. I’ve been to dream islands where the villager houses were so full, the poor animals only had 1-2 blocks of walking room. Not a fun way to live, if you ask me.

And finally, the exterior of her house! I might actually change this. Bump the garden down and give her a lil driveway with a scooter to better add to her theme.

So.. I was playing animal crossing again. I swear this will not be the only thing I talk about, but I am just very excited and I have a lot of thoughts!

Today, the museum is under construction, the shop is all built, I caught the arapaima I mentioned last night, I went on a wild hunt for a cicada shell after I accidentally threw my last one away (shaking my fist at drift), aaaand I caught a coelacanth!! Really hoping I spelled that right.

This was from last night, I spent like 5 minutes trying to get it right.

Oh!! I also got the three houses set up. I just thought this was funny.

The other boy!! Look how pretty!! I can't wait to see my boys in the museum. Speaking of boys I NEED C.J. to come to Starfall, I cannot go to my house without waiting for so many fish to spawn..

I like to fish. I refuse to sell them without C.J. because I know as soon as I do, he's gonna arrive, and I will have the urge to throw my switch in the nearest ocean. (not serious)

I learned reactions! I can now express joy!!

With Timmy and Tommy in the shop, Mr. Nook looked lonely, so I kinda stood here for an hour and a half while I watched sport with mom.

And that's all I did!! I think!! I am excited to unlock terraforming!! I have attempted it on my very first island, but seeing as I am on my 6th and have not tried it again, it is safe to assume it did not go well. But!! I want to try again with Starfall!!
