by Craig Leweck, Scuttlebutt Sailing News As America’s Cup entrants must build their boats in the country they represent, shipping can consume valuable time to the race venue in Spain. For American Magic, they opted for air transport, releasing images of it being loaded on a Antonov AN124, one of the world’s largest cargo planes, for its transatlantic flight to Barcelona.

With all six teams soon to launch their new AC75s, the images offered no sense of what is to come as the hull was camouflaged in a plastic wrap. Peter Brown wondered what they were hiding: “Shrouding the hulls in secrecy, when the hull only touches water while waiting for the 10-minute gun?”

Plus, what about the environment? Teams must now have hydrogen powered chase boats, but plastic is okay? This question has a slightly better answer as the hull was covered in biowrap which is a ‘green’ alternative to traditional marine shrinkwrap films.

Kendati demikian, Menhub mengaku bahwa kebijakan fungsional Tol Cisumdawu tersebut berada di tangan Kementerian Pekerjaan Umum dan Perumahan Rakyat (PUPR). Ditugasi Presiden Hidupkan Bandara Kertajati Menhub mengaku sejak awal telah ditugasi Presiden RI Joko Widodo untuk mendukung Bandara Kertajati sebagai alternatif dari bandara internasional di Indonesia. TOP 10 HARD LANDINGS - AIRBUS A380, BOEING 747, ANTONOV AN124 ... (HD)

 12,671,436 views  Apr 17, 2020    Within the past 8 years I filmed a few hard landings of different airplane types. In todays TOP 10 video I sumed up the heaviest landings I have ever filmed. Two of these landings were performed by Boeing 747` s at Maastricht airport. Don` t know what` s going on with the runway at Maastricht but I have seen a few hard landings at the small airport in the Netherlands. Maybe it` s the small humb near the touchdown area which makes the flare a little unpredictable. Some of these hard landings were also caused by the lack of flare in general. Check out the Airbus A321 of British which looked like the runway was just in its way during its flight. There was no flare at all. Let me know which of these landings was the hardest in your opinion. Thanks for watching, new videos every tuesday and friday.

Even though my Dad and his dad were each pilots for a season of their lives, I am quite content to NOT be the person responsible for landing the plane safely in heavy weather!

The landing gear retracts inward with two hinged doors on the outside and a single door inboard that closes after the gear is lowered. The doors are made of composites. Each unit can retract individually for maintenance and tire changes. America’s Cup – American Magic AC75 hits the road and air to Europe || SailWeb

American Magic has joined the flow of AC75 America’s Cup boats heading to Barcelona, Spain.

The carefully packaged American Cup team boat was loaded into an Antonov AN124 to continue its way to Spain, and the American Magic teambase in Barcelona.

Once there it will be prepared for testing ahead of the first AC75 racing, scheduled for the third and final preliminary regatta, August 2024 in Barcelona.
