I didn’t know flame lily (also known as gloriosa lily) existed before I started doing research for Vesta’s floral motif. It’s’ a very cool looking plant…and about as dangerous as a fire, as all parts of the plant is poisonous. ☠️ But like a fire, it can also be harnessed, and is used in various traditional medicines around the world.

Nakayoshi Media Book Season 4 Volume 3
My favorite Sailor Mars attack. Who is going to mess with someone pointing a flaming arrow at you?
Back cover.
Episode 148: "Shadow of Evil: The Trio's Last Chance".
Looks like Mamoru has a dream mirror this season but he did not have a Pure Heart crystal last season.
Episode 149: "Mirrors of Dreams: The Amazon's Last Stage".
Fisheye realizes Usagi is Sailor Moon. I think the picture Usagi has of her with Mamoru keeps changing every season. In the case of the Stars season its a different picture by the end of the season too.
I understand why Chibi Usa froze here because if Usagi's dream mirror is scatter she can't exist. But why is she frozen standing up. I would have thought she fell over.
Episode 150: "The Amazoness: Nightmare from Behind the Mirrors".
He is still wearing something bright green and it says Earth on it. Well.... it was the 90s. We wore some crazy stuff!
Enter the Amazon Quartet. These girls were really amusing.

I decided to use irises as the flower motif in my “pin” design for Pallas as the flower symbolizes faith and wisdom. This is of course a nod to Pallas’ mythological namesake, Pallas Athena. I also like the head canon that Pallas/Palla-Palla is way more clever than people think she is with her silly, childish act. The temari balls are traditionally given to children by their parents and are a reflection of Pallas’ child-like manner, but these balls take a great deal of skill to make, and thereby also alludes to her hidden cleverness.

The Amazon Quartet in ch.45
This is the chapter where the idea of the Amazon Quartet being more than just evil minions that are there just to be kill by Sailor Moon finisher. This is an idea that I love but that Naoko does not develop very well, probably because of a lack of time and the rush publication of the manga, but in what we can read it doesn't work because it comes out of nowhere. Up until now, the Amazon Quartet have been nothing more that iconic villans, that love being evil and produce nightmares. One thing that works in their favor is that they are the first generals that don't get kill in the first mission they are entrust with, so we have had time to know them and like them for more than their appearance which is great however in that time they haven't show as any sign that they have good inside them or that they redeemable qualities.
To me this is Naoko's take on doing something that the 90's anime had been doing since its first season, adding more depth to its enemies. The enemies in the SM anime are iconic because, besides their increidible desings, they all have distinguishing personalities, a lot of charisma and charm and also a lot of them had the potencial of being good people although when you look at them in the manga they don't have that same depth and most of them only show up for one chapter.
What I want to say is that this a nice change in the manga's formula but against what anime have done Naoko comes out short.
