Like, imagine CC after the Kombat movies. Cosplay, art, merch, panels, the whole shebang. Johnny begs Kenshi to go with him ("Just once, Ken, please") and Kenshi finally relents because what the hell, why not? He'd be lying if he said he wasn't curious anyway. Johnny even manages to convince him to dress up (though is it really dressing up if they're your normal clothes?). They show up bright and early, and the beginning of the con is what you'd expect. Lots of setup, talking to panelists and journalists, etc etc, but then people start showing up. Lots of people. Half of them are dressed like Johnny’s characters (duh) some even as Johnny himself, but then comes the explosion of Kombat "characters" . There are a few Kung Laos with Raidens trailing behind them, a few Liu Kangs and even Barakas.

Then come the Kenshis. Kenshi can't see them, but Johnny excitedly points one out every time he sees one, nudging Kenshi's shoulder and describing their outfits.

"Ken look, that one's pretty accurate!"

"Oh, looks like they're going for the Wu Shi Academy vibe."

"Kenshi! There's an us who swapped outfits. They look pretty good. Wait, that's actually a great idea..."

As Johnny and Kenshi are walking around, taking pictures and stopping to talk to fans, one hesitantly comes up to Kenshi and asks for a picture. Kenshi is beyond confused, because this isn't really his thing and Johnny Cage is right there, but agrees. He asks them where to look and the whole thing goes by pretty fast. They thank him for the photo and rush off to what sounds like their friends, gushing about how they got a photo with their favorite character.

This happens a couple more times. People come up to Johnny and Kenshi, asking for photos. The day goes by and Kenshi has never taken so many photos in his life. Many a Johnny had come up to him, but there were also a few also dressed as Kenshi.

They leave the con with arms stuffed full with prints and plushes and other assorted merchandise, tired and ready to pass out the moment they get home. Despite that though, Kenshi leaves with a small smile on his face. Overall, not so bad an experience.

The difference between dsmp and hermitcraft is that both servers will have you chased down and murdered by your former friends having created a cult around a mind-controlling object of mysterious origin, but on dsmp this would be a highly traumatic incident for everyone involved and put a massive strain on your friendships whereas on hermitcraft it is a Pretty Weird Day

It's the Etho & Cleo dynamic in Secret Life man

It's the "hi Cleo! :D" & the "hey Etho :)". It's the "no no no, you can't have her, you try to rip her out of my hands" & the "we're besties now!" It's the "Grian, give your heart to Cleo" and the "Scott, give your heart to Etho." It's the "can we go for Cleo last? She's having a rough day" & the internal monologue "theres no way I would kill Etho for hearts." It's the "I saw Cleo but I couldn't kill her" & the "I know *we* would never kill each other." It's the "I'm gonna fail this, I'm just going to protect you" & the "I knew he wouldn't hurt me."

The way he was the only one that remembered her hot & cold task without them prompting him, the way she joins in on his Bdubs shenanigans and builds a bedroom. How he's the devil on their shoulder but she's already committing arson before he asks. She doesn't tell anyone about his bed shrine and he joins them in trying to trick Mumbo.

It's the "I just want to die in my home" & the "right, they've killed Etho, they're dead now."

The LimL ships go so hard for some inexplicable reason I mean just look

Flower husbands has the mermaid coral kid give his former husband a pufferish of peace I mean come on. Not only is it their running gag but it's so much more symbolic with the sea motif here. Jimmy's a bad boy but he's really not that bad, he just likes the clothes and being a lil reckless, and Scott's a mean gill but he's not all that mean. The whole prep x punk. When Jimmy asks to kill Scott for time and Scott says I love you,,, YOU KNOW

Desert duo knows each other like a native language at this point, in the way Scar immediately knows the bread bridge is dangerous and Grian has to lie perfectly about it. They murder each other because that's what they know how to do and yet Scar apologizes for killing Grian when he couldn't defend himself. Still, Grian is the one to take Scar out of the series. It's Grian not knowing who to team with after the bad boys are gone but knowing he cannot team with Scar. It's Scar recognizing his parents in himself and Grian and trying to stay far, far away from that.

Majorwood is majorwood what can I tell you. It's winner x frequent finalist. Scott has started to win so many times that he has to throw after Last Life, and Martyn knows teaming with him is his best shot. The way Scott knows Martyn’s birthday and encourages him to celebrate. Yeah

Cletho is the divorced couple of the series and they act like it. They hate each other, they're everything to each other. Neither of them can stop talking about each other, and both of them want to end each other so bad. The casual insults that only arise from comfort around the other. Etho’s spiel about them after his entire family has died, and you can hear how he hesitates before throwing the insults to the empty wind.

sooo I made a whole post about SL cletho and I've just watched all of Cleo’s LL and I'm having Thoughts so you're all gonna suffer for it

They've got this "you're good with me and I'm good with you" thing going on. Every season as I can recall they're never actively hostile toward each other beyond teasing jokes. They default to allying with each other when their main alliances fall apart, and they both just sorta know they won't be hurt by the other. They never discuss this on camera, but it's always true. Cleos always welcome in the white castle and they go there just to chat with Etho sometimes, she didn't want to let him get boogey'd by Pearl, he helped them on red life.

"I know you enjoy that kinda thing" "what, I enjoy rudeness?" "Don't you?" "I mean, don't *you?*"

Also just him betting on their life is so funny 💀

They are The last nonred alliance in the server, despite not being allies the entire season

He tells them AND other people that he's scared of her. Like?? Etho the minecraft man himself genuinely does not want to get on their bad side, to the extent he makes deals with her that are just "here I'll give you potions if you don't go after me for just this episode"

Etho’s panicked "BACK AWAY EVERYBODY IM DANGEROUS- oh, Cleo. Cleo, come with me." Man calms down IMMEDIATELY realizing it's them.

When they're ghosts, Cleo goes "oh Etho! I didn't see you die!" and he says "I got killed Cleo, I didn't survive :(" stuck out to me for some reason

He is the only one she takes compliments from. They don't even accept compliments from Scott or Pearl, but Etho keeps going "ooh that was good Cleo!" and "nice job with that one Cleo!"

bouncing off that he goes so far out of his way to make Cleo feel like a useful member of the team I'm. crying

"I thought I ran into lava but it was Cleo’s hair" I laughed so hard

Theyre just such good friends, like. In general they're very similar people in that they click really easily, they tend to gravitate toward each other in these Life series because they just generally trust each other. they have such a good foundation that you can put them in any situation and they'll still be rock solid. Cleo & Etho, man.
