alright i finally finished the uncanny counter 2 and…
hmm
my thots and spoilers below
THIS IS ALL MY OPINION AND IM BLABBING AND IT IS YAP TIME
it’s 1am so i’m a lil coocoo
once again all MY OPINION if anyone sees this
honestly speaking this season was alright. it def did not compare to season one, which i was expecting. yet it wasn’t up to par with it either. it felt like too much and not enough at the same time so it kinda fell flat to me
in season one everything was connected and there were very clear motives. from the bullying, so mun’s parents, the evil spirits, ji chung shin himself, and the corrupt government. and chung shin’s backstory made me feel for him which is what made him a great antagonist imo. like i loved him
but hwang pil gwang (slick back), gelly (hongjoong variant LMFAOO), and wong (just wong tbh)….mmph
i can’t really remember the beginning it took me 2 months to finish it but, dude and his crew showed up outta nowhere and just started creating chaos for funsies???? now don’t get me wrong, i’m all for villainy for fun but i just couldn’t get into for some reason with them. it just feels like their characters weren’t fleshed out enough for me to actually like them no matter how fine they are bc the whole crew could get it
and then we move to ma ju seok my adoring and loving husband. now this was something i could get behind. him going on a rampage trying to get revenge for his wife and baby, having enough rage to summon an evil spirit on his own??? like that’s what i’m talking about!!! i felt for him and wanted him to succeed bc that con man was also annoying as shit. i really and truly wanted him dead bc he was the absolute worst jfc
if the story only focused on him, and getting his revenge and having to take him down. and only him. seeing how far his rage could take him and what would happen ON HIS OWN without any outside manipulation pil hwang *coughs* would have been a lil more interesting to me and i think i would have enjoyed it more. ik pil gwang wanted his power n shit BUT WHY. like give me a reason.
TO ME hwang pil gwang and his crew added absolutely nothing to this for me. and gelly betraying slick back and all that other stuff just felt unnecessary to me. gelly not being able to do anything and literally almost every single time the crew showed up, and bc pil gwang wouldn’t help her. GIRLY STAND UP AND HAVE SOME RESPECT YOU ARE A BADASS TF YOU DOIN???? GET OFF YA KNEES
AND ms chu’s newest child lim jae yeol….why was he there??? and be honest. what did he do for the plot other than give ms chu another child and show her backstory
and then do hwi, lawd my sweet piano man. WE WENT THROUGH ALL THAT JUST FOR HIM TO FORGET HA NA IN THE END I WAS SO PISSED bc once again. what tf did he add. i feel like he could have been good to ha na, genuinely. imagine getting dumped by ya not girlfriend after y’all done hung out together and have each other hiccup remedies, and then getting attacked by someone who finna rap they verse in bouncy i am so dead
i understand they were trying to idk, give their characters more depth but pls
mo tak punching so mun was NAWT on my 2023 kdrama bingo card. and he didn’t even apologize for it!!!! i understand he was angry and upset bc he thought lost his partner and so mun was doing a bit too much but i just feel like that was outta character for him to do…. and for him to not apologize for it was just, what???
and don’t get me started on jeok beong. i was um, expecting a lil bit more. yoo in soo is a FANTASTIC actor. if you told me he was gwi nam from aouad before hand i would have passed out. THAT MF RANGE IS INSANE!! but, but, jeok bong could have been more. i love him to death but he stayed the same person the entire time. granted towards the end he did start meshing with the group a bit better and throwing ideas out and stuff but i dunno bruh. i was feeling him and not feeling him at the same time.
the same goes for kang ki young. baby if you say that was myung seok from attorney woo i would have passed out pt2. like he did his thang bc i deadass hated his character even tho he was looking good as hell
the lack of so mun’s friends also bummed me out bc i really like them and they are an important part of his life. wanted to see more of those three together as well. my found family was not found with them this season
but the counters dynamic was still a++ like that’s real family. teasing ha na and do hwi, ha na having to save so mun while he was in a coma, then going to yung to ask why so mun leaving, jeok bong calling mun his brother just *wipes tear* magnificent
and why tf did mun have to lose his powers again. we did that shit in season one there was no need for that tbh
nothing to say about ms chu god bless.
nothing to say about jang mool god bless.
mun going over seas and seeing wi gen’s daughter like ENOUGH.
just…. too much, and yet not enough at the same time.
but i still very much enjoyed 8.5/10 BAYBEE

Recs from May & June
I ended up making this one for two months instead of one. In May I started doing Kyudo with my best friend, and so far I'm loving it. In case you don't know, it's like Japanese archery with a longbow. We've yet to actually shoot any arrows, but I'm working hard on getting the technique down and gaining inner strength or whatever! I've also started an internship sorta thing at a daycare, altho I'm in the kitchen. It's chill. I've, as always, watched a few kdramas (surprise) and there were some good ones in there, so here we go:
TV shows
Tumblr media
Jirisan
Dudes... I started this show thinking it'd be mostly like smaller stories about people getting saved by ranger on a mountain for various reasons. I was ready for like some human stories and shit. But I was surprised to find out that this show is much more than that. And I loved it! Jirisan is a show about Mount Jiri, and evolves around the rangers of said mountain. They save people from the weather, from themselves, from others. It jumps back and forth between various years, and in the beginning it was a bit confusing, but I quickly managed to make a mind map over the various events. The show has supernatural elements, beautiful nature shots, a serial killer case and coworkers that gotta learn to tolerate and maybe even like eachother. I really liked this show and my words does not advocate well enough for it, but please if it sounds even a tiny bit interesting to you, check it out. I sat during the whole thing and longed to go hiking myself lmao
Tumblr media
Monstrous
Not gonna lie, I mostly watched this for Koo Kyo Hwan and Shin Hyun Bin, and it's relatively short. It's a horror web series by the same dude who made Train to Busan, about a rural town suddenly getting cursed by an ancient statue. The story is pretty predictable and doesn't really do anything new with it, but it's shot nicely, and acted nicely, and I think it was worth it anyways!
Tumblr media
The King of Pigs
The King of Pigs is a kdrama based on the Korean animated film of the same title. This show was a brutal watch. We follow out two main characters Kyung Min and Detective Jong Seok. Kyung Min lives a relatively normal life with his wife, until one days his supressed memories of his traumatic school years reappear. A string of murders begin and after Detective Jong Seok recieves a mysterious message related to these murders, he sets out to catch the killer. Along the present day plot the show also gives us plenty flashbacks to Kyung Min and Jong Seok's school days. The show is phenomenally acted, especially the child actors deserve praise. Instead of using adult actors for their teen characters, they cast actual teen actors for the roles, and it makes it all so much more real and brutal to watch. I felt so many emotions during this show and a bullying victim myself. There's something extremely satisfying about revenge stories like these, altho I wouldn't simply categorize this show as revenge story. It's way more, and overall it's a tragedy. 10/10 man
TW for bullying, violence, suicide, torture, etc. It's brutal guys, if you wanna know specifics feel free to message me.
Tumblr media
Bloody Heart
Watched this one as it aired, and I was originally pulled in by the absolutely amazing cinematography, and stayed for the intriguing political backstabbing. I'll have to rewatch at some point, bc I'm not entirely sure I got the whole political part of the plot lmao, but I understood enough for it to be enjoyable and intriguing. We follow a few characters, the King Lee Tae who ascends the throne after his father who was made king after a rebellion, Park Gye Won the First Vice-Premier (I'm not entirely sure about all these political roles in historical Korean stories) who's helped Lee Tae's father deposing the former king and starting a new dynasty, and lastly Yoo Jeong the daughter of a noble family who Lee Tae wants to marry. Lee Tae wants absolute monarchical power, and believes any action is justifiable to achieve his goals, while Yoo Jeong is a very sympathetic woman who wants whats best for the people on the country.
It's a story of power struggle and court intrigue, with so much drama and a tasteful amount of romance too. Every character is interesting and unique, and I kinda ended up rooting for multiple people at once, despite them opposing eachother lmao.
Video Games
Tumblr media
The Quarry
My best friend and I has made it a tradition to play these supermassive horror games whenever they come out, they're some of her favourites, and I too was really looking forward to this one. We played through this together in one sitting (about 11 hours??) and guys, I loved it. It's cliched and obviously draws inspiration from a lot of cheesy horror movies, but that's what I love about this.
You play as this group of camp councilors who are stranded at a camp lodge for a night, and being young people that they are they decide to throw a party. Only there's monsters lurking in the shadows. If you don't know how these games work, you play as each individual character, the POV kinda switches between them, and if you play with a friend like I did, you can divide them between eachother and then pass the controller over to whoever is being controlled at the moment. It's a story with a narrative, that you can affect to a certain extent with choices you make in game. Depending on what you choose, what you say, and whether or not you fail certain QTEs and similar, you can get characters killed or not.
I think the acting and the dialogue in The Quarry was great, it was cheesy, and sometimes really dumb, but they had many lines that had me laughing, and I think it was better than the dialogue in Until Dawn. Each character is played with a real life actor, and I love that the developers even made sure each character had their own unique body model.
Wanna warn and say that the plot is pretty basic, and does use some awful stereotypes of romani people. And also just general TW for gore and violence etc
Bonus
Tumblr media
Cabaret
Went to see Cabaret in Aarhus Teater and it was great, second time I'm seeing Cabaret in general, and it's definitely one of my favourite musicals, and I don't have much to say, I just really like their adaption of it. Despite it taking place in the 30s Berlin, it's sadly still very much relevant today.

My Romance Kdrama Rankings and rec.:
*warning: possibly a lot of spoilers but tbh mostly just a redone synopsis of the shows*
Also a bit lengthy as hell
#12. Melting Me Softly
Tumblr media
This show didn’t do that well as much as it was expected to, considering it even had Ji Chang-Wook as the male lead and the adorable Choi Bo-min who was introduced and quite possibly helped quick start the recognition for his kpop group Golden Child. I’ll admit I expected more of this and I don’t hold anything against the script writer who I heard did Strong Woman, but I kept in mind that the whole premise itself was also very complex to work with. Besides the fact it had two very cute and good looking male leads to draw me in, what really did it was the said premise. This is coming from a girl who is in love with Fallout 4 where the playable character was cryogenically frozen and then thawed out two centuries later, that shit slaps with me for some reason and I was excited to see it play out in this.
The romance is okay I guess, still “aww” worthy and has an intense kiss scene that’ll go down in Ji Chang-Wook’s kissing portfolio no doubt, as well as a hot kiss with his former and now aged flame that is only dreamt of. What drives the romance is the male lead with his puppy dog eyes and loving gaze, only a few have COMPLETELY mastered this in the kdrama buisness. Choi Bo-min was a complete adorable cutie who seemed to have fallen in love for the first time and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him (we’re also the same age but that’s besides the point and I’m completely in love with Rocky from Astro so like, I gotta keep this professional).
Time and time again I have issues with female leads in dramas and feel like the men pick up the slack when it comes to acting, this was one of those times. She was funny and quirky but seemed very out of focus on serval aspects. I think her most redeeming trait besides being made for the media and entertainment business in the show was her completely devotion to her brother.
#11. Suits
Tumblr media
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, Park Hyungsik is my favorite korean actor hands down.
I’ve seen bits of the American version, the original version, and it didn’t interest me in the slightest. I took a chance on this because I saw this cutie wearing a suit and converse and maybe that’s my kink, who knows, but I was fucking HERE for it. Now I’m a huge slave to romance and the shows, romcoms, that shit. I need to ship, I need to see the love, possibly write a fanfic of it, save gifs of the couple being cute or someone pining. But this show didn’t focus on the love story brewing on the side, it focused on its original intent and purpose which was Park Hyungsik and Jang Don-Gun’s partnership as mentor and mentee, the practice of law, and Park Hyungsik’s storyline as someone who got mixed up in the wrong crowd and fauxed having the license to practice law. The love story you get is the reason it’s on this list and why it’s ranked lower, but all in all this was a good show and one of the few exceptions to a non romance focused show.
#10. Suspicious Partner
The only reason this doesn’t have a pic is because I can only use ten and I gotta figure which would need one and which wouldn’t.
To start off, this show is fucking hilarious with the cast dynamic. It was like what, 40 episodes? I didn’t realize I needed a prolonged show until this came along. At times, it seemed like the main plot was dragging and I was reminded of why I prefer typical kdrama fashion of a one season within 12-32 episode limit, but it made up for it.
Yes, yes, Ji Chang-Wook, the god of kissing, stars in this. My first introduction to him was actually Melting Me Softly and because of how he did in acting with what he could, the emotions he portrayed, I sought out another show of his pre-military duty. God, he fucking serves in glasses and a suit. His character’s jealousy regarding Nam Ji Hyun (his romantic interest) and Choi Tae Joon (Ex best friend, slow burn, exes to friends to platonic lovers that’s one sided while the other can’t stand him, 35k words) instilled the notion that he is fucking funny as hell when needed and such a mood. You want to see the (not even romantic rival bc Choi and Nam are best friends) spraying with a water hose on your lead’s rival? Want to see a hot guy like Ji Chang-Wook panic and try shoving him out of the house when the girl catches them working out? It’s gold.
The feud with the moms -granted they didn’t realize the knew they were the mom’s of the leads-, the slow burn of enemies to friends with the girls, the redemption of a broken friendship, the crackhead and large old baby played by Lee Deok Hwa and the poor father figure who is tired of everyone’s shit portrayed by Jang Hyeok-jin. It’s everything you need for at least a week. It’s possibly a great starter show to ease one into the fact that most dramas don’t hold to that many episodes.
The romance is great, the fucking pining on Ji Chang-Wook’s side is great, the kissing scenes are fucking one for the history books, and you’re guaranteed to be giggling to yourself in several scenes.
Oh and there’s like, a serial killer but yeah, romance!
#9. What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?
Tumblr media
The reason why it’s not so high on my list despite being popular is quite possibly some of the side cast.
While Park Seo Joon and Park Min Young severed as a fucking power couple and their tandem dynamic was strong as hell, there were characters who made the show’s story seen to drag out despite it being 16 episodes (see what I mean by usual number??). For one, we learn that a brown haired Lee Tae Hwan is not gonna make for a silent crush in this show. No, brown haired Lee Tae Hwan just gets on your nerves and despite it being purely because his character is mentally blocked in this twisted memory, he forces the main character into staying isolated within his own pain and nightmares from what really occurred when they were children. He lies to his family, keeps it hidden from those who are close to him and love him, suffers alone. It’s what keeps him away from chasing after Secretary Kim besides his egotistical personality -which I never thought could be so great but it is. The main character’s brother in his endless pursuit to chase at Secretary Kim himself starts to gnaw on your chill as you watch him subconsciously force this notions that they’re tethered to one another, deserve each other, etc. While you can’t entirely fault him for how he is given the psychological trauma he endured, you can get annoyed with him very easily for the other accounts and purposes.
The side story of the roof top guy with the one suit -I’m sorry, he’s great in 2PM but I can’t stand him in about every drama he’s in- and the seemly rookie girl become more of an obstacle when you just want to watch the main focus. The driver of the main character is hilarious but his romantic interest is over the top at times. Sometimes it just takes away from the show.
#8. Hotel Del Luna
Ah, I wish I could’ve put a pic.
To kick this off, can we like get a spin off with Kim Soo Hyun? Thanks.
FINALLY, A FUCKING FEMALE LEAD I STAN COMPLETELY AND WOULD WATCH EVEN WITHOUT YEO JIN GOO THERE FOR A ROMANTIC INTEREST.
This bitch, IU, fucking slays in her role as a hotel owner for the dead before the leave for the after life. Everything she does is iconic -yes, the fucking cocking of the rifle, the child like smile seeing diamonds, blessing the poor boy with the ability to see the dead then let him get chased per her own amusement before business. I really would’ve watched the show even if there was no romance. Whether it’s modern times or her orignal lifetime before being condemned to a life of immortality hell and aimlessly running a hotel, she makes for a strong lead. Her reasons for wanted to avoid love seemed so valid compared to other female leads who completely brush guys off. She doesn’t want love, and yet she doesn’t want anyone else touching Chan Sung (Yeo Jin Goo) because she’s not dumb enough to let go of something that makes her feel alive. While her character is legitimately described as cold and greedy, her intentions for holding onto him reveal an insecure part of her that’s been tucked away for centuries. His dedication to the hotel and her, to helping the ghosts move on and such, it’s great and makes for a binge full night.
It’s only ranked lower because the ending sadden me when I realized it was him picturing how they would meet one another again. And because they teased us with Kim Soo Hyun, like that’s cruel.
#7. Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (aka Goblin)
Tumblr media
Tbh, this show would be lower if it weren’t for the Reaper and Sunny, as well as Deok Hwa.
I’ll probably get a lot of hate for this, but I couldn’t stand Kim Go Eun in this. I’ve watched her in Cheese in the Trap and thought she was good and stuff, but this I found myself growing annoyed and glaring at the television while my mom preached upon her behalf. The goblin was funny, his dynamic and weird polar friendship with the Reaper is quite possibly what really made the show, but I failed to see the spark between them until the time skip. Then, THEN, I could tolerate her a bit better.
Maybe it’s because she was protraying someone around my age in high school, but she went from this independent and driving girl to someone who became too needy and clingy. She acted like a little girl in front of a crush when she could’ve handled it more marturely with the said maturity she showed before meeting him. Granted, I know she had a very difficult home life after her mom died and she saw ghosts everywhere, and her living with the Reaper and Goblin was like this warm family she felt safe in, but I just couldn’t. Her endless pursuing of the Goblin got on my nerves and she would get upset, but then again did she ever act like an adult and do the most natural thing? Aka sit down and discuss the whole situation.
“If you’re comfortable, can you tell me why you think I’m your bride?/Why is there a sword in you?/What happens if I pull it out?/ What do you want me to do?/etc”
No, instead it was a constant “I’m the goblin’s bride”, “I’m your bride”, there was this bratty entitlement laying underneath the cutest exterior that was so apparent for someone my age, and I got pissed when she admitted to have seeing the sword the first time around. Like this man has been in total agony for fucking forever and you strung him along hoping for the possibility that you may be the key to him finally getting the ending he thinks he’ll get. It was selfish, she didn’t even know him but insisted on seeing how to be his bride. She should’ve stepped back and thought the situation out carefully. It wasn’t until that blessed time skip that I started to like her better. She wasn’t a kid then and became mature like she needed to be. There’s the need to flaw a character, but her’s was always biting at me.
Oh yeah, Sunny and the Reaper are the true couple in this story and their love that’s star crossed in two lives really hits you. There was more chemistry than the main couple, there was confusion in flirtatious banter, there was stupidity for first time romance against a tired experience woman, there was the hidden history that they both remembered after the time skip. The angst, the pure acceptance, the guilt and remorse. They made the fucking show alongside the Goblin and Reaper’s bromance and Deok Hwa’s “I just want a credit card and to be irresponsible but these two dumb fucks keep almost revealing their true selves to the world and I’m fucking done with these children”, on top of God taking his body as a vessel and becoming 10x cooler with that hairstyle while drinking with Fate (such a badass who loves her children I can’t, I stan the side character too).
#6. My ID is Gangnam Beauty
Tumblr media
Oh my god, my introduction to Astro. Cha Eun Woo (aka Lee Dongmin). My god, if it weren’t for my mom, sister and I officially ruling Cha Eun Woo as god tier in terms of looks and making him this untouchable bias we can’t have, I would have never let this adorably hot as hell dancer and rapper distract me. Really, I kept wanting to be distracted by Rocky but I felt like I couldn’t miss the visual god in the front. Blessed I finally was able to divert my attention to the one I wanted to watch so very much and became my bias wrecker. Mom loves Moonbin like he’s her own son and we’re not her children, sister loves MJ’s psychotic idiocy.
ANYWAYS, the female lead, Kang Mi Rae, was stiff as hell when watching it a second time around and at times, knowing their age gap can be bothersome, but it was a cute slow burn of her and Cha Eun Woo’s character, Do Kyung Suk (sounds badass too, doesn’t it). While he appeared stiff as well, probably could’ve played a robot if he wanted to, I felt like he did well portraying his character who grew up in a dysfunctional house where their political father’s position took presidence over family. He was taught it was unmanly you cry, he never smiled (idk how Cha Eun Woo did it, this cutie never stops smiling or laughing), he never spoke up, etc. He appears socially handicapped until Mi Rae appears back in his life and he slowly let’s go of this anger as the story progresses. She learns she doesn’t have to be so self conscious about her plastic surgery or who she used to be because he loves both.
The villian of this story was well thought out (only kdrama where my dad actively participates in the discussions because he hated her so much and says her name with such spite while bragging he knows at least one Astro member so that’s his “idfk what a bias is but I’ll go with the Gangnam kid”). She brought the tension and there was the window to pity her and realize something was most definitely wrong in a tragic way. She sought after Kyung Suk like a prized trophy when he didn’t express interest, stepped inbetween blooming relationships, set boys off a progressive course away from her, and turned one kid psychotic. That was just with her obsession to have the boys fawn after her; completely disregarding her endless efforts to knock Mi Rae down a peg or two in meticulously planned schemes. She was incredibly smart and cunning, it can’t be denied and she drove them closer together in spite of her tries to wedge between them.
Really, this made me wish that the Webtoon True Beauty that’s supposed to get a drama adaption will cast him as the main male lead Suho. It’s almost similar but Suho seems more dimensional and expressive and I feel like he would truly shine there.
Stan Astro.
#5. Extra-Ordinary You
Tumblr media
Ah, this one hurts me. @macaknight, just watch it.
This is a young love one and one of the few that’s not absolute cringe worthy. Set in high school where yea, there’s drama and it’s in Asia so there’s that weird “all mighty and supreme group that conquers the school” called the A3, a girl (Kim Hye Yoon) with a heart condition learns she’s a character in a manga -doesn’t realize she’s not the main one tho and that’s hilarious alone. She finds a focus with this unnamed student who stays in the background and shadows (portrayed by SF9’s Rowoon). The girl, Eun Dan Oh, is someone to worship and cherish, especially since she’s so young and very promising. I thoroughly enjoyed her character and how her efforts to derail the natural progression of the story with the catalyst of student number 13, later on Haru. There’s so many fucking twist and turns, characters to let your heartbreak for as you wish to adopt them and protect them from the world, it all hurts so much but in a masochistic against yourself kind of way you can’t let go of.
Those who are aware they’re in a comic book, they all struggle to break their “character’s” roles and expectations. The second male lead of both the drama and the drama’s manga is sick and tired of playing the violin and being this unrequited love interest that’ll lose in the end, forever the friend. Dan Oh is livid she’s expected to die from her heart disease and is forced to endlessly pine for her childhood fiancé Baek Kyung who is a complete asshole to her while in character. Number 13/Haru is tired of being an unnamed background character who continuously suffers and gets toyed with by the author. Dried Squid Fairy lunch maker is sick of how he must remember shit that’s kept a secret as he tries in vain to keep the story on track to avoid repeated mistakes and consequential devastating punishments to those who don’t follow the storyline. Yeo Ju Da (the main character of the manga) wants to experience the love story she wants without the drama. Baek Kyung want to prove himself and that he genuinely cares for Dan Oh but is forced to be an asshole because that’s how he’s written.
It’s a fucking mess and it’s fucking fantastic. The friendship of A3 (Lee Do Hwa the vionlist, Oh Namju and Baek Kyung), Lee Do Hwa and Dan Oh’s powerful best friendship after being self aware and confiding in each other (honestly I want a drama with just two of them, they’re so cute and funny together), the A3 that happened outside for those self aware between Dan Oh, Number 13/Haru, and Do Hwa where they all genuinely care for one another, Dan Oh’s acceptance that her manga best friend is a bitch but nice to her and the male lackey of their group is funny, etc.
I didn’t think another self aware comic book character show could happen without ripping off W-Two Worlds, but it did. They did it.
#4. Angel’s Last Mission: Love
Tumblr media
That song that goes “It’s alright, it’s alright” in a sad melodic way? Yeah, they play it when it’s not alright.
This show has heartbreak galore, even in the first episode for numerous reasons. They don’t want you to be alright for the most part and yet our sadistic selves can’t help but suffer through it. L’s portrayal of being an angel is such a gift, I didn’t know I needed it. I was dead set on living my life until I saw this and felt myself crumble to bits.
You want sacrifice? You got it. Tears of cute boy and a girl who can’t catch a break? Check. Plot twists? Lmao, it’s a kdrama. Yea. Angst and hurt? Fuck yep.
While you’re at it, listen to the song too so you can suffer some more.
#3. Descendants of the Sun
Tumblr media
THIS WOULD BE AT THE TOP IF IT WEREN’T FOR THE FACT I AM COMPLETELY IN LOVE WITH THE FIRST ONE AND THESE TWO GOT DIVORCED IN REAL LIFE. I still wish the best for them and their child. I still hurt but love them.
So much fucking chemistry and angst, so much hurt and wounds (it’s legit a show with a military background and characters), so much cool fight scenes and surgeries. Their soundtrack slaps, the backstory of characters really set the tone to their current stories, shit overlaps somehow, the female rivalry is hilarious, the cat and dog friendship of the male leads warms my heart. They have such iconic stills and scenes.
The main leads connected so fucking well they got married in real life (we don’t talk about the end result, I’m still crying but I get it.) This kdrama is probably one of the staples to korean dramas in general.
Another female lead I really liked as well as the second, I just struggled at times with Song’s character at times because of the pain she put them both through.
#2. W-Two Worlds
Tumblr media
This is my go to for recommending korean dramas to someone for the first time -I got an ex hooked on it that he cried several times throughout it/life 1/4 of the varsity boy’s soccer team has seen this because of me.
This is the comic self awareness show that I didn’t think could be redone, but kudos to you Extraordinary You, you created an orignal that breaks my heart.
This show hurts so much as well, I don’t watch them if they don’t hurt in one way or another.
Lee Jong Suk stars as the main character (Kang Chul) who is also the main character of his own comic book he stars in. The issue is that he’s self aware and that there’s something wrong with his world and life. His webtoon/manga creator is trying to kill him because having his creation alive is driving him to insanity and was the only comfort when he pushed his family away for his career and alcoholism. The creator’s daughter is alerted that her father went missing while cooped up in his room while drawing Kang Chul’s death and end to the manga without a resolution to his storyline (Think of a korean Batman without the suit and brooding personality). Plot twist that’s in the synopsis, she gets pulled in by Kang Chul inside the comic and can come and go if it pertains to him because he controls it without realizing.
You have a main character who is written as this playboy orphan and sole survivor of his mass family’s murder that questions his existence and purpose BEYOND how we do. He meets this girl who speaks almost cryptically to him without realizing and knows more about him than needed or given, and now he’s experiencing oddities besides the notion of love that he can’t understand because it’s not how he is written and the glitches in his world.
This show is twisted in a psychological sense that messes with a comic character who is now alive and real, fucks up the mentality of the creator, puts the daughter in an immense amount of stress when she was just trying to be a fucking surgeon, yes, black haired Lee Tae Hwan is crush worthy in this unlike brown haired Lee Tae Hwan in Secretary Kim. (It’s the hair, you change the hair on a character and everything is different).
The exploration of what love is that works alongside the devoting dark plot of the culprit murderer really drives this show as well as the couple’s endless efforts to save/protect one another in any means necessary, even if they both suffer from it.
These two truly can’t live without one another and it shows with all they do for each other. There’s nothing they wouldn’t risk to keep one another in their arms.
And Lee Jong Suk delivers his share of being one of the King of Korean Drama Kisses as well, gif saving worthy and iconic ones as well.
#1. Strong Woman Do Bong-Soon
Tumblr media
Park Hyungsik. Park Hyungsik. Park Hyungsik. Park Hyungsik.
Need I say more?
We stan Park Hyungsik’s character, Ahn Minhyuk, in this blog. We basically stan Do Bong Soon as well for how happy she makes him.
This is possibly totally bias but this is one of my two white noise korean drama shows that I continuously find myself rewatching time and time again. And that’s saying something since I only have one white noise show that’s in English. Three shows total.
People had issues with the script and what the actors had to say, but for the most part I thought the love story and the rival one was pretty well written, then again I kept watching different translations on different sites. So I wasn’t bothered at all. People also didn’t like the side characters and stories regarding the sketchy well dressed gang she hospitalizes in the first episode that stuck around until the last but I felt it was important to have them to prove how having Bong Soon in their lives can change a person and how she has this affect on people overall.
My god, the love story. Bong Soon has this massive crush on police officer and high school friend she was sweet on, Guk Doo, who doesn’t seem to acknowledge her feelings and is all about protecting the law and stuff (I can respect, I’m a LEO kid). He isn’t aware of her abilities of being incredibly strong and nearly indestructible. Nah, instead, CEO of AIN Software, Ahn Minhyuk, accidentally finds out and is like super chill but excited and curious about it and her??
He hires her as his bodyguard in the mist of receiving threats regarding his family company and they find an odd balance with each other while Minhyuk falls in love with her so hard, he literally tries to protect HER from danger. He’s so wonderfully extra that it’s no wonder Park Hyungsik and Park Seo Joon are best friends in real life, they both have the ability to play someone so over the top in a cute and funny way that you appreciate it about them. A cutie with a button nose and weird ears decked out in monochrome color scheme and dark sunglasses, whistling as he rides a hoverboard around? Die for 100%. Someone who gets crazy jealous and presents it in a healthily humorous way by dramatically posing to securitygates of his company that open automatically for him? Stan. Wants Bong Soon’s attention while she’s in a room away from him so her opera sings her name loudly and dramatically? Worship.
While it’s hard to watch the slow progression on her end yet the obvious budding of it, it’s understandable since she’s been in love with Guk Doo ever since high school and has assumably never had a boyfriend in hopes that he would reciprocate her feelings. So the second time watching it and stepping back to analyze, I could forgive her.
All the while, Minhyuk making Heart Eyes ™️ at Bong Soon for literally everything she does makes you feel. The way he holds her and treats her like she’s this precious porcelain doll that could break it handled the wrong way speaks volumes considering he knows of her Herculean strength. He openly loves her when he comes to realize what she means to him -which is a lot sooner than you’d think but welcomed-, and looks at no one else but her. The love story probably would’ve also happened faster if everyone didn’t think Minhyuk was gay (that’s a solid fact, I’m not joking), only those close to her and see how he acts/looks at her realize “lmao, he ain’t gay Hunni”. Minhyuk is this cute hottie that girls wish were straight (it’s fucking hilarious) who acts like a complete lovesick dork with Bong Soon. He freaks and spazzes out when she calls him a nickname or acts cheeky with dropping honorifics, speaks aloud to himself of his thoughts regarding her, literally can’t contain himself when she acts cute to get on his good side and distract his anger.
Oh and there’s like this serial kidnapper too so there’s badass scenes of the two working together, power couple def.
Their soundtrack slaps too and you somehow end up vibing with it. The song You’re My Garden on it, I learned to sing it because it’s one of my top favs.
They’re just the cutest with their hamster and puppy dog relationship. It’s my go to show and I won’t stop watching this. It’s so obvious how Park Hyungsik grew to fall in love Park Bo Young (that’s a legitimate fact) when filming and their bts cuts are too cute, I wish they were dating in real life.
(Also, we have another King of kiss scenes -to those who watched this drama already, you know the scene, iconic 🔥🎼)

jumbled thoughts on crash landing on you (2020).
ㅡ this is nowhere near what you’d call a ‘review’.
spoiler alert!
.
.
First of all, I might need to say that I initially had no plan on watching this show. It’s pretty understandable considering that I recently lost interest on being the avid drama watcher I was, and now shifting more on films & books. You see...if you watch too many dramas, it’s totally normal to get bored of it (i mean the overused tropes???typical plot???) and just staying away from it. It’s not helping that recent shows I’ve watched are lackluster at best, and I haven’t been able to found a good one in a while. But I was just recently subscribed to Netflix, and this pops up more than I’d want it to, which brought me to mindlessly clicking the first episode due to boredom I’ve had for not watching any shows in MONTHS and the rest is history. I wasn’t that excited for starting this one to be frankly, due to endless spoilers I’ve gotten from twt and I had been mad over it. I was in a state where I knew how this’d end, but goes for it anyways because I have nothing to do.
The scriptwriter for this particular show is also the one who wrote You Who Came from the Stars (2013) and Legend of the Blue Sea (2017), and I wasn’t exactly a big fan of her writing. And the very troupe that I immensely dislike on the afore-mentioned shows was included on this drama as well. This scriptwriter seems to have a huge liking for putting out thriller-like tone on a romance drama, and it didn’t sit well for my preferences. If you’ve watched these three shows, you’d know all the leads are ALWAYS having dangerous encounter with villains and near-death experiences you’d rarely see in romcoms. It bugged me off how much she seems glued to this troupe and constantly having it on three representative shows she’s writing for, and these are honestly one of my ultimate reason for not doing rewatches for her dramas (I think CLOY could be an obvious exception due to the stellar casting choices for the leads; i’ll explain this later). Not a lot of people could do a well-written thriller-romance, and hers weren’t ones of those. It takes a fair and well-balanced tone to make it work, but in these shows, it just feels like constant fillers and a complete try-hard to make this unpredictable, when all we know that it’s nearly impossible to kill the leads (which I might be wrong while making this seamless assumption but okay).
The biggest downside for the writing style for these shows (bcs I’m not just talking about cloy ㅡit applies just the same for ywcfts and lotbs) is the very inability of Park Ji-eun scriptwriter-nim to write at least a DECENT ending for her shows. And that, my friend, is why I wouldn’t give this perfect score despite my unlimited praises in terms of acting, when I knew how good it’d be if she just let go of her obsession for making the ending ‘impactful’ (which seems to be horribly received by the audiences), and just write a proper ending for ONCE. It’s a big shame it didn’t happen on this drama (*disappointed but not suprised*), but I won’t stop hoping nonetheless. She has a knack for writing witty & entertaining script with great cast ensemble, and that’s why despite my dislike for some of the traits of her shows, I still watch them anyways.
Aside for the poorly-written ending, while I found the editing for first half of the show a lil bit tacky sometimes (especially when it needed CGI), Crash Landing on You also suffers from unnecessary lengthy duration (mostly because it hit big domestically and internationally and the creators get greedy which is never a good thing) that could have been made effective if they weren’t spent so long on shallowly written villainous role which seems to be written for the sake of unpredictability (and was acted wonderfully by Oh Man-suk with its limited character background given). It happened as well on YWCFTS and LOTBS, and again, if you’ve seen those two shows, you’d know how similar the pattern for the plot of CLOY compared to them. If you love them, then it’d work out good for CLOY as well, and if it’s not (like me), then you’d know what kind of writing style Park Ji-eun’s best at along with her worst features on the shows.
.
.
.
.
DO THESE LISTED-DOWN FLAWS MEAN I’M NOT ENJOYING THE SHOW?
NO.
In fact, I’m enjoying it a whole lot more than I did with ywcfts and lotbs.
What ultimately sets cloy apart from the two shows is the leads’ acting compability. With ywcts and lotbs, it’s no doubt and much obvious to see that Jun Ji-hyun greatly overshadowed her acting opponentㅡplaying on roles she’s best at, be it as a spoiled popular actress and clueless mermaid. She’s just that good on playing roles that doesn’t have any calmness to it; and more like crazy and freeing women who knows no boundaries. Although her emotional acting was very much in good quality, as well. And because of this very fact, both her costars couldn’t have the equal amount of spotlight, mostly because the characterization for her character (and how she added flavor to that) is much stronger compared to what could be expected from the male leads who, most of the time, don’t share similar traits like hers. I still say that Kim Soo-hyun’s performances on ywcfts are definitely good enough to pair up with Jun Ji-hyun, but I couldn’t say that he’s on his best role despite it prolly being one of his widely known ones.
On this show, Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin could be said on a similar level for acting capability. Though Son Ye-jin wins out more because of the scriptwriter’s tendency on making her female lead stood out due to their strong characterization, it worked okay because Hyun Bin does match her energy and it just contributed to the fact that he’s a visually good looking actor but still manage to be very damn good at acting as well. And it’s rare to see actors like that on dramaland, you know. Most of widely popular actors seems to stick on one role and never grows from that, but despite his flopped works (yes I’m still bitter on how ineffectiively used he was on Hyde Jekyll and Me) before he started to hit big again after Memoir of Alhambra, ones that had paid attention to his works would know that Hyun Bin, is indeed, good at acting, especially on showcasing his detailed expressions added to the role he’s given. His performances on Secret Garden still awes me to no end, and I’m happy to see that powerful raw acting capability again while he potrayed Ri Jeong-hyeok in this show.
And Son Ye-jin?This show is just another valid proof that she’s more than a “Melo Queen” people seems to have loved her for. The bratty, spoiled and even brazen acting she’s showed on the drama was incredibly well-acted. Her chemistry with her co-stars were fantastic. Of course, I shouldn’t have to say anything about her acting qualityㅡshe’s just THAT good.  And I love her more on roles like this; where she could  freely show off her capability as an actress on a broader spectrum, rathen than her usual melancholic roles in most of her films. I thought she was a lil bit wasted when she chose to play on Something on the Rain, so thank god she accepted the offer for this show!
And their chemistry is totally off-the-charts, fyi. I might have recently added them on my personal top list for being the most visually good looking couple I’ve ever seen on kdramas with explosive chemistry which I greatly appreciate, and YES I have seen a lot to know that their magnetic presences for each other is like no other. A lil bit biased but okaayyy.
From the leads alone, this is just an absolute must-to-watch show. It’s incredibly rare to see such good performers to helm a show on romance dramas these days. And the most suprising thing is how they doesn’t lose out to the second leads. Seo Ji-hye and Kim Jung-hyun were great on their own feet, but Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin were just so good on this show that I ALMOST couldn’t care less about the second leads. They grew on me though, and THAT ENDING HURT ME.
And the rest of the casts???Just pure goodness. Everyone has their own color, from the neighborhood moms, the clueless & silly team but still one of my favorite bits to watch, to the villainous role. Everyone’s just doing so great on their role that I couldn’t pick on anything about them. All the characters are the the life of this show. If you’re more of a character-driven drama person, you’d enjoy this immensely.
And it’s so fascinating how they could maintained the light-heartedness of the show to the very end albeit a couple of finale episodes getting so dramatic & hits more emotional beats than usual. I mean, THIS SHOW FEELS LIKE A COMICAL TYPE OF DRAMA SOMETIMES BECAUSE IT WAS THAT HILARIOUS T.T One of the best traits from Park Ji-eun’s scriptwriter, if I might add. Not to mention, the soundtracks! My favorite is Davichi’s by the way :)
.
.
.
.
I still have a lot of praises for the acting part, because it feels refreshing to see such a well-acted drama while getting so much popularity at the very same time. With dramas like Descendant of the Sun, Goblin, and more internationally well-received kdramas out there, I still find it hard to choose a drama that has leads with equal amount of respect, trust, and purely in love just as much as they are to each other like this one. Most of romance dramas heavily relies on either the woman or man to be a lil bit more in love with their respective partners, but it wasn’t the case with this one. And that is why despite my constant rant & nitpick for the show, I still consider this as one of my great watch in recent years (not that I have many that I had watched lol).
.
.
.
Watch it for you’re in for witty dialogues, constant hilarity between the characters, and explosive chemistry & well-acted performances from the leads & the rest of casts.
Do not watch it for you’re not prepared for the flaws I’ve listen down, and how this is not directed for ones that seek a realistic watch. Ultimately, Crash Landing on You is best watched if you’re not using your brain for it.

chicago typewriter ep 16
it took me sooooo long to write my final thoughts in this drama.
since i love to write long ass rants, imma start on how i stumbled on this kdrama.
tbh the last kdrama i finished before i took a break was tomorrow with you (thanks for also breaking me heart) then i decided to watch chinese dramas (and movies). after a month, i came back to watch kdramas again (tunnel > queen of mystery > man x man (i binge watch this but kinda dropped bc i focused to chicago typewriter!!!). i didnt mean to watch chicago typewriter at that time bc im waiting for it to finish first but yoo ah in was calling me ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
and that’s the story on how i got ~addicted~ to kdramas again. addicted meaning i just can’t stop talking about it, thinking about it, and humming the osts every freakin’ where! haha! the last kdramas that made me this addicted were goblin and scarlet heart ryeo~
now, let’s get to the main point of this post: the finale.
if you’re my follower, you can see (my posts) how heartbroken i am bc of episode 15. damn, that episode really broke my heart and soul. and episode 16 did the same thing to me.. the only difference is that the sadness is mixed with happiness.
let me enumerate my faves scenes again:
1. shin yul’s emo moments
- first few seconds and i already cried rivers. my heart’s filled with sadness when hwiyoung died but i literally couldn’t handle shin yul crying his heart out :((((( i love their friendship so much and I CRIED SO HARD WHEN HWIYOUNG SAID IN THE LETTER THAT HE LOVES SHIN YUL. applause for go kyung pyo’s acting 🎉 he did so great i know lots of viewers cried with him too 🎉🎉
2. hwiyoung praying to the sky
- this scene’s strongly reminded me of goblin again but they appealled different to me. the way he prayed not only for his self, but only for his friends made it so touching i had to pause and cry again :((( til the very end his thinking about his friends :((( where can i get a friend like him seriously!!! i also like how cinematography + ost + HIS LINES here, it made the scene so emooooo
4. jeon seol and her mom’s moment - on my ep15 post, i said i would love see jeon seol and her mom together again. im kinda disappointed bc they didnt talk about their present problem so idk if they got together happily after :>(
4. soo hyeon getting back bitches!!!!!
- woooahhhh soo hyeon with the gun, killing everybody partying at carpe diem was the bomb!!! i was screaming, cheering for her like a mad woman (it’s so satisfying to see heo min young and madame sofia getting killed) ㅋㅋㅋ and specially when she said her line, “in the name of joseon youth alliance…” WOW THAT’S SO POWERFUL. there you have it! the strong, independent, lead woman ㅋㅋ kidding aside, i admire soo hyeon for still sticking on joseon youth alliance’s principle. it’s so hard to think and move when think you lost everything… so really thumbs up for soo hyeon for carrying the mission! moreover, i would like to think that she picked up that attitude from hwiyoung (we all know hwiyoung doesnt move by his emotions! joseon first before anybody omg) and that made it so A+++
5. shin yul getting killed by soo hyeon
- i almost choke on my tears here, seriously one of all the saddest scenes! i know soo hyeon’s just carrying her mission but i couldnt help but feel so devastated ahhhhhh loved the im soo jung and go kyung pyo’s acting omg they complemented each other so much :(
6. baek tae min’s scenes - more praises for kwak si yang for his well done acting! hes such an effective villian and i cant imagine another actor for this role! seriously looking forward to watch more of his projects 😍
6. se joo and jin oh bffs moments
- literally the AWWWWWWW MOMENTS! specially when se joo’s telling jin oh to stay *u* our se joo became so soft~ he finally found a true friend after all these years.. considering it’s the same guy he loved and trusted 80 years ago 😭 how can u not love this friendship
and over all:
BALANCE BETWEEN FRIENDSHIP AND ROMANCE
- i know, i know, the viewers been loving the romance between hwiyoung/soohyeon or se joo/jeon seol (i loveeee it tooooo) but I AM JUST TOO HAPPY THEY GAVE US ENOUGH BALANCE BETWEEN THE ROMANCE AND FRIENDSHIP IN THIS FINALE EPISODE. the blend between the sweet scenes for the love birds and heartbreaking scenes among the trio was made just right to my taste. IT’S PERFECT. HONESTLY THEY DRAMA SHOWED WHAT I WANTED. LOOSE ENDS ON THEIR FRIENDSHIP WERE FINALLY TIED. THEY MADE PEACE WITH THE PAST & FOCUSED ON THE PRESENT (though the present’s still so sad wtfffff really) THE ENDING SCENE GOT THE AUDIENCE THINKING AND IMHO, THATS A GOOD WAY TO MAKE AN IMPACT TO THE AUDIENCE. A VERY NICE JOB TO END A MASTERPIECE 👍
all over ratings: 10/10 acting: 10/10 everything else: 10/10 😂😂😂 IM SO SAD TO LET GO OF THIS DRAMA :(((( IT’S A REFRESHING KDRAMA FOR ME.. LEARNING A BIT OF KOREAN HISTORY IN THIS WAY IS ACTUALLY FUN AND ENTERTAINING (WHICH BTW, KUDOS TO THE WRITER) i have this feeling of wanting to suggest it to others but at the same time wanting to just keep it to myself 😭😂 it’d be hard for me to watch a new kdrama/continue some of my kdramas *sigh* i need to clear my mind first so my judgement wouldnt be clouded lmao anyway, this kdrama probably topped my list for this month… or.. this year. next stop: wait for the year-end awards and watch this drama take hope awards (YOO AH IN GOTTA WIN THE BEST ACTOR AWARDS IN TVN OK?????)

The “no hallyu” about me tag
No one tagged me, but it looked fun and thought it would be nice to introduce myself a little better! I hope you enjoy reading it :)

And way too many others. I have an #aRMyMusic based Twitter account! Find me @armymusic13 if you want more <3
10 favorite movies?
1. Princess Mononoke (also: the best Halloween costume I ever did) 2. Spirited Away (wasn’t Haku everyone’s first crush?) 3. Laputa/Castle in the Sky 4. Howl’s Moving Castle (really anything Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli) 5. 10 Things I hate about you (<3 Heath <3) 6. any superhero movie!! (JK, where you at?) 7. Pirates of the Caribbean (just the first two, they should have stopped while they were ahead) 8. Beauty and the Beast (the 90s one, haven’t seen the new one yet) Lion King (the first movie I ever saw in theaters) 9. Sidewalls (an Argentine movie about two neighbors who would perfect together but their paths don’t cross…or do they?) 10. And because I’m bad at following directions, any Wes Anderson movie (I once wrote a paper on The Darjeeling Limited). 11. And because I’m really, really, bad at following directions, old movies like Charade (feat. Audrey Hepburn & Cary Grant), Rebel Without a Cause, and any Alfred Hitchcock.
10 favorite TV shows, including animes and cartoons (I almost never watch TV, bc I don’t have the attention span for it. )
1. Avatar the Last Airbender- I’ve watched every season multiple times, and remember watching them with my friends on Friday nights in HS. What can I say-we were super cool ☺ . See also: ZUKO.)
2. Pushing Daisies- somehow super dark and super cute at the same time? I’m rewatching it with my friend now, and it was such a tragedy that it was killed off by the 2007 (?) writers’ strike. It has a really retro feel, not to mention all the awkward puns and sexual tension.
3. Inuyasha-I somehow watched all like 250 episodes of it.
4. The OC- I watched the first season with my best friend in HS. Aside from these top 3, this is where I begin to struggle (lol). I got too involved in their lives/plots and started to get stressed out though.
5. Star-Crossed. A really short lived CW show.
6.You’re Beautiful (pushing the boundaries here bc it’s a kdrama). It was the first one I ever watched, and I’m still waiting to find one I like as much.
7. Heartstrings (see above. The main actors were in both series together)- I guess I’m a Park Shin Hye and Jung Yong Hwa fangirl?
8. The Scholar Who Walks at Night (currently watching)
9.Strong Woman Do Bong Soon (currently watching)
10. Ingobernable (currently watching)
10 favorite manga/comics-this is a slippery slope. I had a short lived shoujo manga blog. I haven’t been reading manga as much, so most of these are older, but still near and dear to my heart.
1. Kanata Kara/From Far Away-Seriously, go do yourself a favor and read this series, even if you don’t read manga. Honestly, everything by Kyoko Hikawa is great.
2. By the same author-Miriam. The American Old West in a shoujo manga? Weird but cute.
3.Fruits Basket-One word: KYO. First series I ever read all the way through. I own physical copies of all the volumes. I remember picking them up from Barnes and Noble the first day they were released in English, and plowing through them in half an hour.
4.Kamisama Hajimemashita- clearly I have a fantasy/supernatural bent, lol.
5. Saga-future/sci-fi. Not as teen-friendly as the other series on this list  🙈.  I’ve been reading through these more recently with my friends.
6. Alex + Ada- A newer take on the robot-girlfriend/android theme. It’s more interesting than most though because it deals with questions of the self, free will, and societal discrimination.
7. Akatsuki no Yona- again with the fantasy! this one was amazing, and i still check for updates periodically. Haven’t watched the anime though.
8. Love So Life- I have no idea if this one is still ongoing (Google tells me it’s finished, so I have to catch up), but it was a cute, slice of life family drama/comedy about an orphaned babysitter, and an uncle who has taken in his relatives’ kids. Unsurprisingly, romance ensues.
9. Beast Master- a super short series about a girl who is able to control a boy raised by wolves (lol). If you have seen the Korean movie A Werewolf Boy it has a very similar vibe.
10. Horimiya- a cool inversion of gender tropes in shoujo. The characters felt like real people to me-the scary guy ends up being a huge squish (cough, Yoongi, cough), with the girlfriend being the one that is tough and outgoing.
These are just the ones that I remembered in particular/came to me, but I’m sure there are many more that I loved!
10 things you enjoyed before kpop/enjoy besides kpop, that won’t fit in the list above. 1. Reading- I’m currently in the process of starting a coffee/book blog in my city!
2. Coffee-see above!
3. Hanging out with friends! I’m just as happy going out and staying in with dinner and a movie.
4.Dancing-I’m not good, but I have fun with it when I go out with friends or just when I’m  home alone ;) I also have taken a lot of Zumba, but idk if that counts as dancing, haha.
5. Cooking-I rarely do though. Too busy, and I’m lazy when it’s just me. I like cooking for others though.
6.Traveling-I’ve lived in Argentina and Spain, and traveled to Uruguay, India, Mexico, Portugal, Italy, Canada, Ireland, the U.K, and various countries in the Caribbean. I haven’t been to Korea or Japan yet, but hopefully they are up next! I’d also love to visit Australia with my younger brother. I’ve also traveled within the US quite a bit.
7. Learning languages-I speak Spanish  & English, a little bit of Galician from when/where I was living in Spain, and am currently working on my Korean.I took Chinese briefly before, but didn’t make much progress :(
8. Listening to new music on Spotify. I was a 90s kid so I remember dial up, Napster (a little, lol), buying songs on iTunes and Pandora. It’s crazy how much variety is out there now to listen to!
9. I’m trying to learn how to make mashups-I think it would be fun to mix BTS with Western or Latin Pop. Haven’t made much progress on this yet.
10. Most recently, writing for this blog, and spending a lot of time on tumblr :)
I hope you all feel like you know me a little better now! Feel free to message me if you want to nerd out about any of the above <3

Jan 17-Jan 22, 2017
lmao so i’m the worstTM. LETS DO THIS
Tuesday! Jan 17, aka the first day of classes WOW --> Woke up! I don’t even remember tbh but I definitely packed some stuff for school. I remember moping around that I didn’t want to go to class and yelling a lot. #mature Drove to class (in the rain) made it just in time for Managing Global Workforce. Jordan and two of her friends were in the class! (Mario and Jess) and we’re all on a team for the class so that’s really nice. It definitely seems a lot less overwhelming now which makes me so happy. After that was Strat IV which was a little bit overwhelming tbh. Susan is too excited. Me Jordan and Alyssa are on a team together for the group presentation for that class which is good. I feel like I really need to get on my shit though! Went back to Titi Margie’s after and then crashed.
Wed, Jan 18 --> no classes on Wednesday for me!!! David is in class all day so I had pretty much the whole house to myself @ Titi Margie’s. I didn’t have any work to do yet so I just hung out and tried to finish my 1SE video (which I finally posted). Wed night I went to the mall dress shopping with Cilla and Titi Margie for her Quince which was.......tense. Lol literally I felt like I was in My Super Sweet Sixteen. Cilla loved this dress that Titi Margie wasn’t crazy about (and it was expensive) so we left without it and tried to go find something online that was similar. I felt bad because they both had valid points. But even though it was tense, things were fine by the end of the night. I hope Cilla is able to find a dress like the one she tried on though! It was gorgeous.
Thurs, Jan 19 --> Class started at 1pm today so I left Titi Margie’s around 12:15pm. Drove to school, had Strat III which was also a lot better than I thought it would be though I’m nervous about the class size. (so small) ((but if I made it through Business Ethics I can do anything)) After that Jordan drove me to College Ave and we got bubble tea!! lmao or I did and she got food from The Yard. It’s always nice (and weird) to walk on College Ave since I feel so out of place now. It was literally home for 2 whole years. #feels Now that I have a 50-minute block between classes that might become a thing more often. She drove me back to Livi and I was right on time for Developing Human Capital which I’m happy seems like a class from last semester. Lectures and exams and not too much extra effort on my part as long as I show up and pay attention. It’s the only class I have without Jordan but I was able to talk to some of the international students who are honestly so nice. We’ll see how it goes!
Friday, Jan 20 --> do i even remember???? OH YEAH I spent most of the day helping Mamacita out because of her surgery, I cooked porkchops for dinner, and Lexey and Abuelo and Abuela came over!! It was nice seeing Lexey after so long, I feel like I haven’t actually talked to her in so long. Tina came over after dinner and we watched an episode of Legend of the Blue Sea after our long, sad hiatus. We picked up Pizza Hut and then drove to her house to finish episodes 15-19. WHAT A WHILRWIND OF EMOTIONS. i really love that drama. after i spent an hour on the phone with Big P bc I am the worst friend and never give her any of my time, Tina and I binged the 5 episodes and wo0o0o0o0oow did stuff happen. Mostly Lee Minho cried a lot. and it was beautiful. He is such a great actor. I’m excited to watch the finale next week.
Saturday, Jan 21 --> Tina and I stayed up until 5 watching the drama and we had to watch the last 2 episodes before I could leave on saturday lmao. it was a lot. So we watched the 2, cried bc the last episode doesn’t come out until wednesday, and then I went home to help my mom out because she desperately wanted a shower. Helped her out, and then we just chilled until I left to go to Christine’s birthday dinner. It was at this really cool Korean restaurant/bar in Palisades Park! I TRIED SOJU FOR THE FIRST TIME I FELT LIKE I WAS LIVING MY KDRAMA FANTASY it was pretty good wow. I get how they can drink it so easily in the shows. We had a really nice time and I was forced to be social which is a good thing since I feel like I needed it. Christine had a great time which was the most important. We also set up a TBD Korean Cafe date with me, her and Alex! I’m super excited.
Sunday, Jan 22 --> I can’t believe I neglected a whole week I really need to stop lmao. Today was v lowkey. I woke up, helped mom a bit, we watched the remake of Beaches on Lifetime, chilled until work @ 4 and I thought I would be out by 8 but S&S hates me and I ended up leaving after 9:30pm. But it’s chills. Came out, helped mom out, ate dinner, watched Superstore and tried to do hw, but that’s not happening until tomorrow. lol. okie!!!
