#fridaykiss tag game

tysm for the tag @aninkwellofnectar! really loving this tag game haha 😘 here��s some tender everly x asher and a wee little kiss for y’all 🖤

Rules are that you post a smooch between your OCs for Friday. It can be as light as a peck or intense as a makeout. It can be romantic or platonic or familial. As long as a smooch takes place it’s free reign!

“So we’re to be honest about our feelings, but never to act upon them?” he asks. “Why isn’t it a good idea? What you want?”

She continues browsing through the trees, low hanging branches heavy with ripe berries. She walks among golden gems dangling in the dying light.

He can see the weight pressing on her shoulders.

“Asher, I’m tired,” Everly sighs. “I’m tired of people leaving. I don’t blame them. There have been plenty of reasons, of course, but… they always go.”

Out of her love for Kellan, she’d sent him away. Rylan fell victim to the curse. Her mother vanished, her father assassinated. Her kingdom emptied.

“And with you, Arden, even Landon,” she grimaces, shaking her head. “It’s just… not going to be easy. And that’s without what I want making it even more complicated.” She finally turns to face him, her golden brown eyes full of sorrow and near to breaking. “You have to return to Anverion. You have to.”

Asher plucks a small bundle of berries from a limb as he approaches her. Considers his words. “You’re right. And I’m not foolish enough to think I can stay but… I can do what no one has been able to before.”

He stops inches away from her, almost closing the distance between them, and she watches him intently the entire time he leans in close to her ear. “I can come back.”

He follows the certainty he feels at those words and presses his mouth to her flushed cheek.

She smells of autumn leaves and duskblossoms. Seasons. Change. Her skin beneath his lips nearly undoes him.

Everly meets his gaze as he pulls away, eyes wide and searching his.

“Food for thought,” he says as he places the berries in the basket on her arm. He turns back toward the castle and the fading dusk beyond.

I hope you were able to be as productive as you wanted to be, and that you also got in all the relaxation you deserve.

I'm getting excited for secret identity reveals as well! I've seen your name pop up, so I do know you've read at least some of my work before. 😉

Thanks for sharing some of your favourite upbeat music. I'm a Harry Styles fan as well. I didn't think I knew who Olivia Rodrigo was, but when I looked her up, I realized I had heard a bunch of her music, and recognized her from an appearance on Saturday Night Live. I too spend the majority of my life listening to Noah Reid, but I do have a workout mix with an embarassing amount of late 90s/early 2000s hip hop on it. A current pump me up song that is also more in line with my current musical taste is Knocking At The Door by Arkells.

So a couple of food and drink related questions for you. What's your favourite beverage (I'm thinking alcoholic, but if you don't drink, non-alcoholic is just fine), what are your favourite snack foods, and if you're eating trail mix, what are you picking out to eat and what are you leaving in the bowl? 😆

Hello my dear Valentine!!

I’m so sorry it took me so long to respond! It was a decent weekend, but too short as usual. I’ve been enjoying watching the Olympic coverage though! Not sure if that’s something you pay attention to? 🇨🇦

Oooh I’m even more excited if I’ve read your work before as everything I’ve read in the fandom has been most excellent and this has certainly piqued my curiosity!

You mentioned your current music taste and Arkells - do you generally prefer rock/indie/alternative music? Though your workout mix sounds awesome - after reveals maybe you can share it with me!!

I definitely do drink - though it’s hard to pick a favourite! I really enjoy a glass of Riesling 🍷 but I also really enjoy beer and mixed drinks and everything else. What’s your favourite alcoholic beverage if you have one? (so I know what to treat you to if our paths ever cross!). I also have a Coke Zero addiction. 😂

I also love junk food so I like most snack foods - I weirdly really enjoy plain ruffles or chips, though there’s plenty of flavours I enjoy too. The trail mix question made me laugh because I am a serial “picker outer” 🤣🤣🤣 - though I’ve gotten better at not doing it as much. I’m not a huge almond fan (unless it’s covered in chocolate!).
