Which means in two months we're getting the first Torchwood Soho-adjacent standalone since Black Knight over two years ago (which I maintain is a very good audio, though I fully understand how it was bound to disappoint specifically as a replacement for Absent Friends), and the first Norton & Andy solo adventure since Goodbye Piccadilly in 2018 (which is borderline criminal)

People's lives and physical wellbeing are more important than other people's comfort, and also it is necessary to counter, rather than feed, the dominant (non disabled) push towards pretending Covid is over, so I understand why the focus is where it is in disability communities. But. Covid, work from home, lockdown, social distancing, and the move to virtual and remote everything has been really, really harmful to a ton of people with mental health conditions, Autistic people, and people who had previously been utilizing in-person health maintanence (like physical therapy or special exercise groups). And there has been absolutely no support or discussion around how this has been harmful. And there is as far as I can tell no support for transitioning back into a more in person mode for those of us who find massive life transitions and rapid changes in levels of daily socialization difficult. And I know the needs of immune compromised and otherwise at risk people in our community have to come first, but like. :(.

Yeah of course!

The short version is that he got ambushed by a spook that was trying to break into Edgar's headspace; he won, but only by the skin of his teeth and was very badly injured. Edgar was able to heal him up, but it still left some scars (This all takes place in Ch. 19)

Since Edgar got double-picked for a waste lock & replacement, Scriabin and the waste lock monsters were in competition for his brain, and Scriabin is extremely territorial on top of the waste lock critters being super dangerous for both of them; Edgar’s mental stability and Scriabin’s continued existence. He has the home field advantage, but even with that he still would’ve straight up died without Edgar coming to his aid. It’s the biggest turning point in their relationship imo ♥ Or at least the catalyst for it 💕

It’s also the reason Edgar never got to see Scriabin’s wings; the waste lock creature tore them off in that fight, so all that’s left are some broken bone shards and loose yarn when he pulls them out now :’(
