you didn't know how to feel. you just gave kokomi her gift for her birthday, a wonderus pendant, that would change to the colours of the water around her. you had also given her some books that you had bought, mostly about war and strategies,desserts and cake, and finally a pink/blue dress, like one you would wear to an evening concert. (which had all been awfully expensive, mind you )

you had just revealed all this to her, and couldn't read her expression at all. her eyes were sparkling, the spring wind pushing her hair back. she looked beautiful.

she looked up at you after a long time, and it looked like she was tearing up. as soon as you opened her mouth to comfort her, she leaned forward and hugged you tight. you hugged back even tighter, rubbjng her back a little out of instinct.

she finally pulled back and has a year slipping down her cheeks, but simultaneously a huge smile on her face.

'yes. I love it. thank you.. you're very sweet.' she sighed happily, leaning back into the sand of the beach that you were on. she looked up at the sky.

kokomis eyes reflected the sky. it was a beautiful fog and mix of purple, blue, pink, all the colours the starry sky would have.

'being the divine priestess of watatsumi hasn't been easy at all, nor has it been easy to rule over saganomiya... but you make it easier. thank you, _, I truely do appreciate you.'

you giggled and smiled a bit, taking her hand and placing a gentle kiss on her knuckles. her face heated up a bit and she looked away, beaming, as tho the sun, stars, moon and all sources of light were in her.

'you know..' kokomi cleared her throat a little. 'sanganomiya has this tradition for birthdays, you take them out and then to end the night you take them to a concert... I was wondering if you could accompany me there...?' she looked up shyly, 'of course it's fine if no-'

her scentance was cut off by a light kiss. she kissed back, and it was almost like time stopped for a little bit. she pulled back first, breathless from the little action.

'id love to. happy birthday, kokomi.'
