Delhi Belly in Bangalore
Sicktember #18: Nausea/upset stomach
Thought I would participate in a few of the Sicktember prompts this year, and by that I mean use it as an excuse to post a couple things involving my OCs that I'd already written, that are not snz related but still sick/whump related, because I will have no other occasion to ever post them.
My love of fevers and vulnerability knows no bounds, and thus I’ve written some little moments of an instance of food poisoning that occurred when the betajis, along with Ayush’s sister Shravya and Naveen’s brother Vijay, went to India together.
I don’t think it’s particularly graphic but while not extensively described it does involve vomiting so CW: emeto, and if that is not your cup of tea don’t make yourself read it!

They’re told at the pharmacy that pepto bismol is the last thing they should be buying for Caliph. Apparently he just needs to let his body rid himself of it.
“Make no mistake,” the pharmacist says, “‘Delhi belly’ is a misleading terminology. It’s not because of unfamiliar food or drink—your friend is sick with food poisoning. Likely the bacteria E. coli. He will most likely be fine but it can be serious in some cases. You need to watch him for dehydration.”
They text him immediately.
A: Caliph how are you feeling?
It takes him over an hour to respond.
C: I’ll spare you the details but suffice it to say I’m really sick.
N: :( Do you want us to bring you anything?
C: Actually yeah, if it’s not too much trouble. If you could pick up vegetable broth (something shelf-stable, sealed and commercial), mouthwash, and maybe some ginger ale
A: For sure, no problem
C: Thank you so much. No rush. Don’t interrupt what you’re doing, just whenever you come back.
An hour later he adds:
C: Hey, I have another request if you haven’t gone to the store yet but no worries if you have
N: No we haven’t yet. what else do you need?
C: the kind of aspirin that comes in a liquid/gel capsule but (I’m sorry this is annoying) if you can check the ingredients to make sure it’s not made of gelatin. C: (tmi but) I keep trying to take it and throwing it up again before it dissolves >:-(
It’s dark by the time they return, Ayush and Naveen venturing into the bedroom where Caliph’s supposed to be asleep but is not.
“Caliph?”
They try the bathroom, knocking a few times to no response.
“Just try to open it?” Naveen suggests.
“Should I?”
“Caliph? Are you decent?”
No answer. Ayush slowly pushes open the unlocked door to find Caliph on the floor, back against the wall, knees hugged to his chest, huddled in a towel and fully asleep with his face pressed to the sink cabinet.
“Oh my god,” Ayush says, unable to keep the panic from his voice as Naveen kneels next to Caliph and puts a hand on his shoulder.
“Hey hey, Caliph, bhai, wake up,” Naveen prods, shaking him.
Caliph groans a confused, “Mmn?” opens his eyes drowsily. “Oh hi,” he says, giving into a full body shudder.
“Are you okay?”
“Think so,” he says, closing his eyes again, resuming his original position, leaning his head against the cabinet.
“Why are you on the floor?”
His eyebrows raise at the question, eyes still closed. “Nececessity,” he says, and Naveen stifles a laugh.
“Do you feel like you’re gonna still… need to be here?”
“Mm… not presently.”
“Wouldn’t you be more comfortable in bed?”
“I’m be honest,” he slurs. “My body’s very weak right now. My energy’s reserved for interacting with this toilet.” He reaches out a clumsy arm to touch the side of it, fingers briefly brushing against the porcelain he’s clearly become overly familiar with.
“Do you think you can stand?” Ayush asks, and Caliph fixes him with an unfocused gaze. Glassy eyes underscored by dark circles that remind Ayush of what Shravya looks like some mornings when she fails to fully remove the kohl from her eyes the night before.
He shakes his head almost imperceptibly and suddenly sounds as if he’s bordering on emotional fragility. “No, I’ve been sort of crawling around to get places. I’ve been really dizzy all day.”
It’s completely involuntary, the cooed “Awww,” that spills from Ayush’s lips, but he’s not the only one.
“Ohh no you poor thing,” Naveen says, extremely casually, and brings a hand to his forehead. “Jesus, Caliph, you and your fevers…”
He turns to Ayush with worry and Ayush places his own hand on Caliph’s face. “Oh you’re burning up,” he says softly, and if he didn’t know better he’d think maybe he detects the faint ghost of a smile quickly tug at the corner of his mouth.
“Would you want to be in bed if we helped you there?”
“I would love to be in bed right now,” he says, and they each take one of his arms and pull him to his feet. He helps carry his own weight but he’s fumbling and it’s clear he does need their help to properly stand, and with Caliph’s arm over his shoulder like this Ayush realizes just how much he’s shivering.
Naveen must be having the same realization because he says, “You’re really shaking, huh? Let’s get you some drier clothes.”
They park him on the edge of the bed, Ayush’s arm lingering on his shoulder as his weight lulls forward.
He looks disheveled as hell and Ayush thinks to himself that surely, surely there’s something universally attractive about a man who looks as if he’s been to war, even if it’s his digestive system he’s been to war with.
“Can you take that shirt off, Caliph?” Naveen prompts, digging through his suitcase for a clean one.
Caliph complies, with some difficulty, briefly revealing a sweat-sparkled chest Ayush tries not to look at as he shrugs on the new shirt, attempting immediately to lie down.
“Hang on a second, you gotta drink this.”
“No thank you,” he mumbles.
Ayush clarifies, “It’s like… Indian pedialyte. You really do need to drink it though, the pharmacist says you probably lost a lot besides water.”
“Oh I lost so much,” Caliph smirks, and they laugh as he takes a moment to wipe the sweat from his face with his shirt.
Ayush unscrews the cap and hands it to him and Caliph hesitantly takes it with a shaky hand. “I might throw this up immediately. I can’t even drink much water at a time or it will jettison back out of me.”
They laugh again and he smiles a little and takes a couple conservative sips of the formula, wincing as he does.
“Does it taste gross?”
“Nah, my throat just hurts from puking.”
Ayush wants desperately to touch him, and this would be an appropriate enough context for it, but he’s finding himself stopping just short. What he really wants to do is to be capable of doing what Naveen does with no weirdness and surprising grace.
It’s something about being so thoroughly straight that allows Naveen to do things like brush Caliph’s hair from his forehead before he feels for fever with an open palm, to let it linger there as he speaks to him, to return it to his hair with affectionate strokes afterwards—it allows him to do all of this with no ulterior motives, therefore feeling no awkwardness himself, not worrying what conclusions others might come to because those conclusions would be inaccurate.
It’s hard to touch someone casually when you actually are attracted to them. Harder still when you don’t exactly want the world to know you even harbor the capacity to be attracted to men in the first place.
It’s unsurprising considering the noises coming from his stomach, that Caliph does end up puking up the pedialyte, jolting upright a couple minutes later while Ayush and Naveen are in conversation, stumbling to the bathroom, managing to push the door closed behind him, which Ayush is grateful for because it dampens the sounds of painful, extensive retching that doesn’t feel commensurate with the amount of liquid he drank, ending in fitful coughing and desperate gasping for air.
“I’m getting really worried,” Naveen says and Ayush nods distantly in agreement, meaning it but distracted all the more by the sudden unmistakable sound of nose blowing and sniffling. He experiences a simultaneous jolt of attraction and pang of sympathy, and instantly feels bad about the former.
When Caliph finally ambles clumsily back out of the bathroom, he’s greeted by two very worried faces.
“I drank that stuff too fast,” he sniffles, leaning drunkenly against the door frame and looking like he’s about to fall as Naveen grasps his arm to help him to the bed, nearly knocking over a pooja mandir in the process.
“You slowly sipped it…”
“Evidently not slowly enough,” he says, collapsing back on the mattress.
“Haye ram,” Naveen says.
“Haye ram indeed,” Caliph mumbles, muffled by a pillow.
“You’re worrying me, bhai,” Naveen says, more insistently. “You should try to drink this stuff again, even if it’s just a single sip every few minutes.”
Caliph holds out his hand for it, squirms into a sitting position, wincing in pain at the movement. “Could you maybe pass me the advil first? I want to prioritize that.”
“Okay, take a sip of the rehydration thing too though.”
“How many advil can I take at a time?”
“Four.”
“Maybe you could set a timer to take a sip every ten minutes?” Naveen suggests, as Caliph struggles to tuck himself under the covers before Ayush and Naveen both wordlessly move to help him and then curls himself into a ball, one protective hand on his stomach.
“…Caliph?”
He rubs at his eyes, suddenly looking heartbreakingly boyish and sleepy as he fights through the blanketing haze of fever trying to reach what was said. “In ten minutes?” he sniffs.
“Probably you’re falling asleep and then trying to drink too quickly when you’re awake and if you spaced it out more maybe it would help.”
“That’s good idea,” he says, closing his eyes again, sinking easily back towards sleep.
Ayush and Naveen give each other a look.
“Hey,” Naveen says, putting a hand on his shoulder.
“Kya?”
“Tumhen alarm lagaana hai. Let’s set you an alarm.”
He says, “Haan,” in agreement but still does exactly nothing.
“…On your phone, Caliph.”
“Acha,” he mumbles, reaching blindly for his phone and sending it tumbling off the bed.
Ayush catches it, says, “How about I’ll do it.” He goes into Caliph’s alarms and sets several.
As they get ready to leave again to join the others at whichever club on the list they’ve made it to, the first timer goes off, and Caliph is too deep in sleep to even hear it. Naveen goes into the bedroom to wake him up, but all he does is turn off the alarm and turn back over to sleep again. Naveen has to instruct him to sit up and talk him through drinking a sip, but not more than a sip, of water.
The second time the alarm goes off is no different.
“Yeah this alarm thing isn’t going to work. I don’t think Caliph has the energy or the wherewithal to take care of himself right now.”
“I’m gonna stay with him,” Ayush volunteers, surprising himself.
“I feel bad though that you’ll miss out. Maybe we can take turns?”
“Okay yeah that’s a good idea. Maybe tomorrow we can just all take turns checking on him, if he’s still feeling like this.”
“Good, that’s good.”
When Naveen leaves Ayush feels strangely nervous, as he looks at a sleeping but still visibly pained Caliph.
The plan for the cold washcloth was established in his mind the second Caliph had stumbled out of the bathroom and sat next to him that morning, but implementing it suddenly felt weird. Maybe because eleven hours is an absurdly long time to be thinking about a washcloth.
But his breathing is so labored and restless, the discomfort so obvious that Ayush has to do something, so he gathers enough courage to find a towel, second guess how cold the water should be, finally wet it, kneel next to Caliph and press a palm to his sweaty forehead.
“Jesus,” he whispers, still a bit alarmed by the heat of his fever, raging silently but rendered visible in the sweat continuously beading up on his face, in the ruddy tinge to his brown skin, blooming through his cheeks and across his neck. It’s a strange mixture—gay panic and normal panic.
Finally he spreads the washcloth over Caliph’s forehead, and is rewarded by a half-conscious, very grateful moan, like he’s been craving it for hours himself.
It emboldens Ayush. He uses the cloth to wipe over each of his glistening cheeks, drawing from him more tiny moans, slight whimpers, and desire pools heavily in Ayush’s stomach, flashes through him, makes him very glad Caliph is not awake enough to see whatever must be happening on his face right now.
It’s that sense of almost anonymity that finally lets Ayush do the other thing he’s been longing to do—to reach over and sink his fingers into Caliph’s sweat-soaked hair to stroke through it, rewarded with another sound of sorely needed pleasure and Caliph tipping his head towards Ayush to an angle where he’ll have better reach.
For some minutes Ayush just revels in being able to stare at him, watching the unfolding microexpressions of an achingly handsome face in distress—the vaguely pained pleats that keep folding on Caliph’s forehead before relaxing again, eyebrows subtly furrowing and twitching.
He hears himself quietly saying, “You’re in a lot of pain aren’t you?” and feeling, amongst all the other complicated emotions he’s currently fluctuating between, that familiar mixture of intense sympathy and warm fuzziness that characterizes his every interaction with people he’s attracted to specifically while they’re having a hard time.
‘Is this helping?’ he might ask, if he had Naveen’s sweet-natured, strictly-hetero-based confidence. Or if Caliph was someone he knew intimately in a very different sense, ‘Does that feel nice?’
Even thinking of saying something like that has Ayush flooded with perverse guilt over being turned on by any of this, his sureness about the gesture petering out, about to stop.
But then there is a quietly spoken, “Ayush?”
He freezes, starts to pull his hand away. “What’s up?”
Caliph’s eyes flutter open and he asks, with uncharacteristic timidness, or maybe just a fragile voice, “Could you maybe keep doing that for a little while longer? Do you mind?”
“I don’t mind,” Ayush says, unable to bite his bottom lip hard enough to keep himself from breaking into a smile as Caliph closes his eyes again with a smile of his own.
With a contented exhale he says, “It’s very comforting.”
Ayush contemplates a verbal response for so long that he ultimately doesn’t say anything at all. Just continues to work his fingers through Caliph’s damp hair, as soothingly as he can, until he falls asleep.

It was a normal day for you, laying in bed, reading, scrolling through Pinterest, studying, until-
"Y/n? What is thisss?" your roommate's tone which echoed through the corridor told you he was up to some mischief. You lift your head up curiously as he stumbles into your room, your expression quickly changing when you notice what he's holding. "Jake!" you yelp, rolling out of bed to chase after him.
"I didn't know you owned a pink dildo" he lets out amazed, looking back at your tired figure which was still running after him. He giggles and escapes to the living room, settling on the couch as you follow.
"Oh and it vibrates too!" he exclaims in awe.
"Yeah, now give it back" you breathe, trying to catch your breath.
"Nah, come get it" he lifts his arms up and you scurry to get your personal object back, climbing on his sitting figure as you reach for it, but his arms were too damn long.
"Jake, please, just give it back" you sigh, giving up. You don't even realise you're pretty much straddling him in the position you're at until you feel his other hand on your arm.
"How about we make a deal?" he asks, a playful smirk on his face. "last person to make themselves cum wins"
You deadpan at him "Are you kidding?" you ask in a simple tone.
"Nope, and the loser has to finish the other off" he adds, looking at you hopefully. "Plus I'll give you this back so you can use it in the meantime" he shakes the pink object in his hands, flicking his brows up and down.
You've always kinda liked Jake, he was funny and unserious and just your type. But he was also the person you pretty much grew up with. You were scared to lose such a friendship so you never actually made a move. This was your chance.
You roll your eyes in faux annoyance "Fine. You're gonna be the one cumming too quick anyways. We'll see how good you can give head." you shrug, giving him a pretty smile "Now give me my damn dildo back"
He laughs and places the plastic dick in your waiting hand, before looking up at you, smoothing his hands down your sides. You looked so pretty like this on him, he couldn't wait to see you pleasuring yourself.
You get off him too soon, finding your place at the other end of the big couch, spreading your legs as you snake a hands between them. "Fuck" he curses under his breath, his already-hardened cock twitching in his uncomfortable pants.
He also leans back on the opposite end of the couch, quickly untying the stings of his sweats and sliding them down impatiently along with his briefs. His cock springs out, the angry red tip already leaking precum.
You bite your lips at the sight of him, wondering how he'd feel inside you. One thing's for sure; that pink plastic dick wasn't half as good.
You get comfortable, rubbing your clit through you shorts. "Show me that pussy" he instructs, slowly stroking his shaft. You blush red, smiling at his impatience. Nevertheless, you lift your hips up and slide the shorts down along with your panties which you knew were soaked.
Jake didn't hesitate to grab the black material, bringing it to his nose and inhaling deeply. You roll your eyes and sigh at his pervy behaviour. "Jakeee" you whine "That's dirty"
He doesn't seem to care, groaning at your smell and at the sight of you. "Fuck you're glistening" he points out, licking his lips as he speeds up his pace a little. #
You spread your juice around, circling your hole, closing your eyes at the tingling sensation. His lips almost start to draw blood at the way he's biting them, his hand going up and down his cock quicker.
He can't help the way his eyes are fixated on you, watching your expressions and your fingers touching yourself. He knows he's gonna lose the second you put a finger inside yourself, squeezing his base to calm himself down.
You open your eyes to stare at his, as if in a challenging manner, the sounds of your gushing juices fills the room, his curious eyes looking at where you finger yourself.
"Close Jakey?" you ask in a breathy voice which goes straight to his dick.
He breathes in "N-no" he lets out, his shaky voice betraying him. He can't help himself though. You want him to lose, adding another finger to your tight hole and moaning out loud.
He's done for when you purposely moan out his name, sending him into a frenzy, his eyes roll to the back of his head and before he knows it, his hands are drenched in cum.
You sigh at him "I didn't even get to use my dildo" you faux pout when he slowly opens his eyes, recovering from his orgasm.
"You won't need it" he mutters, getting off the couch and making his way to you. He grabs your thighs and positions you so that you're sitting comfortably on the couch. He doesn't waste a second to sink down on his knees, spreading your legs as he takes you in.
"So fucking hot" he whispers under his breath. He's been waiting to taste you for so long. Smelling your panties just made him more impatient. You nod at him when he looks up at you from between your legs and he dives in.
He flattens his tongue and licks up your folds in one go, immediately humming at your taste. He laps up your juices, swirling his tongue around your hole before slightly prodding it in just to tease you. His licks his way up you clit, kitten-licking the little nub sending tingles up your spine.
"Fuck Jake" you breathe out, subconsciously grasping his hair between your fingers. You push his head deeper into you, encouraging him to suck at your clit. He hums at the little tugs on his hair, the pleasurable sting going to his dick.
He licks back to you hole, his nose bumping against your clit, making you whine out. You can't help but close your thighs around his head, engulfing him into you. He brings his hands up to your thighs, keeping them open before he brings one hand to your hole.
You feel like you're going to explode with his finger prodding at your hole and his tongue on your clit, the stimulation becoming too much. "Fuck, fuck r-right there" you moan out, pulling at his hair to ground yourself.
The way he hums against your folds doesn't help, your hips twitching at the feeling. He starts finger fucking you at a quicker pace, his mouth still working on your clit. All it takes is one last suck on your sensitive clit before your squeezing around his finger and tipping your head back in pleasure.
He eagerly licks up your essence before you push his head away due to overstimulation. You catch your breath as he sits up and settles on the couch next to you.
"Hate to admit it but that was one of your best ideas, Sim" you chuckle out, still in a haze.
"I never come up with bad ideas dumbass" he replies, also chilling back into the couch, allowing you to rest your head on his shoulder.
"We should play this dumb game again sometime" you suggest, trying to place a hint.
"Damn you liked it that much didn't you?" he asked giggling
"It's always nice seeing you lose your own game"

Jake and Neytiri didn’t take long to have a baby, and then right after Neytiri fell pregnant, we found that Grace’s avatar had also become pregnant. No one knows how, but what we do know is that two little babies will be born soon. Jake and Neytiri had already agreed to take in Grace’s baby, and as their third mate, I will be right there with them, helping along the way with two little ones. The firstborn was little Neteyam, a boy, followed quickly by Grace’s baby, a little girl named Kiri. Life with two infants is exhausting in all the best ways. Even though every moment is spent with one of the two little ones, it couldn’t be more perfect.
And then Neytiri announced she was pregnant. I made plenty of jokes about na’vi contraceptives, but I was elated about there being a new member of our family soon. Now, with a third on the way, things have been put into overdrive. Thankfully, with preparing for the first two, we didn’t need much more, but by Eywa’s grace, would Neytiri please slow down! She’s seven months pregnant, Neteyam strapped to her back, and is bow fishing! I demanded her to either sit down or hand me Neteyam…
“Neytiri love, you are heavily pregnant and carrying Neteyam; please let me take some of the load for you!”
Without seeing her face, I know she’s giving me that glare full of fondness, “I am well aware that I am pregnant, but that does not stop my duties.” she draws her bow, and the beautiful yellow and green feathers fan her cheek.
Rolling my eyes, “Oh wow, I didn’t remember seeing any of the other pregnant women hunting or fishing. I also don’t remember seeing anyone hunting or fishing with their babies strapped to their backs at all. Maybe I’m just blind.” I walk up, and Neteyam notices me. I started to play with the little foot that I could reach, “Let me take Neteyam, and you can have your fun fishing to your heart's content.” I bargain, Neteyam’s little giggles doing wonders for my case.
With a sigh, Neytiri slowly drops her bow and slides Neteyam off her back. I grab him and cradle him to my chest. His big eyes stare up at me with glee.
“Hello, little mister,” I coo as Neteyam babbles happily, “Have you had fun fishing with Sa’nu?” I asked him, knowing he didn’t understand. But enjoying the attention, he continues to babble excitedly and squeal, communicating with me in a language only he understands. His bright green eyes stare into mine with the love and devotion only a child can hold.
A large hand cups my face, and Neytiri gently leads me to look at her, “You are perfect with our kids, and every day, I fall more and more in love with you,” She lays a gentle kiss on my lips.
I smile into our kiss, bringing our lips to meet again until a tiny hand smacked at my face. I looked at Neteyam; he was disgruntled, like I had ruined his little baby life.
“It seems our ‘Itan is jealous. He doesn’t like Sa’nu taking all of his Mama’s attention,” Neytiri cooed at our son.
“Ma!”
Neytiri and I turned our heads to look at Neteyam, surprised and joyful.
“Did he just?” I cut myself off.
“Yes, he did, Syulang. See if he’ll do it again!” She exclaimed, her hand covering her smile.
I look at Neteyam excitedly, “Neteyam, are you saying Mama? Mama!” I emphasized to him.
“Ma! Ma! Ma-ma!” His little fists raised in the air as he chants my name.
“Oh my goodness!” I squeal as tears prick at my eyes, excited to hear and be his first word. I kiss his cheek repeatedly, causing him to erupt in giggles.
“Oh my ‘Itan, you have always been a Sa’nu’s boy, yet you say Mama first,” Neytiri teases him, rubbing her nose against his cheek.
Happy that the attention is back on him, he throws his head back in giggles as he claps his hands.
“I can’t believe it! Neteyam’s first word!” I gush over him.
“He is blessed,” Neytiri muttered, holding the two of us.
A thought suddenly hit me, “Jake’s going to be so upset. He missed Kiri crawling for the first time, too.”
“Ba, I told our Skxawng that she was going to start moving soon, yet he still went on that hunting trip,” She exclaims, rolling her eyes.
“Still, I feel kinda bad,” I worry, continuing to kiss Neteyam’s cheek, not wanting him to be upset after such a big thing.
“Jake will just have to work harder with this one.” Neytiri rubs her taunt stomach.
“I cannot wait for this little one to join us,” I bring my hand to her stomach, feeling the little one inside.
Looking at the two of us, Neteyam lays his chubby hand on Neytiri’s stomach, “Your tsmukan prrnen is in there,” I explain softly.
Neteyam softly coos as he holds his hand on his Sa’nu’s belly. Suddenly, Neteyam yanks his hand back before angrily babbling, scawolling at her stomach.
I looked at Neteyam questioningly as Neytiri laughed, “Our youngest just kicked Neteyam’s hand.”
I can’t stop myself from laughing as well, seeing Neteyam scold his unborn brother, unknown babbles and grizzles leaving him, making him sound like an angry bee.
“Alright, my little buzzing bee, it’s time for us to go home,” I comment to Neteyam, caressing his cheek bringing his attention back to me, “Enjoy your fishing, my love,” I lay a kiss on Neytiri’s lips.
“Thank you, Yawne, you two enjoy your day,” With that, we go our separate ways.
The walk back to the village was long, as Neytiri likes to fish in more remote areas, but Neteyam and I enjoyed our stroll. I showed him many different plants and rocks. If they were safe, then I’d put them in his little hands as he learns to move them properly. Feel the texture in his hands and mouth as he learns.
Nearing the village, I hear the sound of pa’li and their riders nearby, “Do you hear that, Neteyam? Those are pa’li and their riders. The riders are brave warriors who protect the clan,” I explain diligently.
Neteyam’s ears flicker, his eyes shifting between me and the sounds he hears. Soon, the pa’li riders show themselves, led by Tsu’tey.
“Oel ngati kameie, Tsu’tey,” I greet friendly, doing the movement the best I could with a squirming Neteyam.
Tsu’tey returns the gesture, “Oel ngati kameie, (Y/N), Neteyam,” Tsu’tey turns his attention to the wiggling baby, “He seems active today,” A grin shows on his face.
“I think he woke up from his nap just in time to see me. Gives his Sa’nu peace and quiet, leaving his Mama with a wiggle butt,” I joke.
Neteyam turns his head to me, “Ma! Ma ma ma-ma.” He babbles on.
“Well, he wasn’t doing that yesterday,” Tsu’tey commented, “Does Neytiri and Jake know that you’re Neteyam’s favorite?” He teases.
“I don’t know if I’m his favorite. It’s just easier for babies to use an ‘M’ sound than the ‘S.’” I shrug off, “But yes, Neytiri was there to hear his words. Unfortunately, I have not yet seen Jake today,” I explain.
Tsu’tey slowly shakes his head, “I swear those two wait for Jake to leave before doing something,”
I laugh at his reasoning, “Neteyam, I believe it is bad timing. Kiri, on the other hand, I see the look in that girl's eyes. She’s doing it on purpose.” I laugh joyfully.
“Is that why Jake takes her with him everywhere? Now, Jake has always been good at caring for the babies, but I feel like I haven't seen him without Kiri attached to his chest for the past two months.” Tsu’tey asks, picking fun of my mate.
“I believe so. Jake had Kiri for 48 hours straight, with plenty of playtime and cuddling. Now Jake had Kiri on her back, playing with her. The moment that he went to go to the bathroom, she rolled herself over and started crawling!” I exclaimed, telling my favorite story.
“No wonder my brother refuses to let go of her! But now he may do the same with this little one,” Tsu’tey comments, laughing at my mate's plight.
“What will he do when our third is born? He can’t carry them all,” I enjoy the mental image that gives me,
“He will try, that is for sure,” Tsu’tey grins as he looks around, “Where is Neytiri? Surely you are not by yourself?” The grin slowly faded from his face.
“Neytiri is restless. She is bow fishing down by her favorite creak.” I shrug.
“She should still not leave you alone. The animals have been restless lately.” He pursed his lips, “Come here and hop on. I will bring you back to the village.”
I thought to argue, but I was already tired from the walk, and Neteyam was getting restless, “Thank you, Tsu’tey,” I walked towards him, and he easily picked the two of us up, settling us in front of him.
“Of course, I am glad to be of help,” He responds before he urges his pa’li onward at a slow pace.
Neteyam, interested in the pa’li, reached out and patted the fin atop its head, “Yes, Neteyam, this is a pa’li, Tsu’tey’s pa’li. Tsu’tey is your uncle,” I ramble on to Neteyam.
“Uncle? I am not familiar with that word.” Tsu’tey inquired.
“It is an English word, an honorific; it is what children call the brother of their parents. I explain to him.
“And you are teaching Neteyam to call me that?” His tail swished joyfully.
“Yes, you were a brother to Neytiri first, growing up alongside her. Then you became a brother to Jake and me. We all proved ourselves during the war. You are our brother, and we agreed we like the name and want you to be called that by our kids,” I offered.
“This is a great honor, thank you,” Tsu’tey reaches around, placing a hand on Neteyam’s head.
“It is an honor for us to have you as a brother. I am always thankful to call you brother, and I am honored for my children to grow up with you around.” I explain heartfully.
“I promise to always live up to that name,” He responds dutifully.
“I know you will, Brother,” Looking back, I smile at him.
The rest of the ride back to the village was filled with idle chatter, Neteyam babbling along with us, believing he was adding to the conversation. Tsu’tey and I indulged him; every time he babbled, we would respond to him with wows or agreements, encouraging him to babble more.
Tsu’tey brought us to the village entrance before helping us down, “You two enjoy your day. I will be back later, hopefully with one of your run-away mates,” He explains, turning his pa’li around.
I give a small laugh at his choice of words, “Thank you, Tsu’tey; however, I will enjoy my time with Neteyam. It has been a while since he has had one one-on-one with his Mama,” I explain cheekily.
“Got it. I will not look for them too hard,” He agrees, matching my grin.
“Stay safe, Tsu’tey.” I nod before heading to my kelku.
Being mated to the Olo’eyktan meant our kelku was in the center of the village. It was also larger than the average, but that is fine as we will have three kids in under a year. It was decorated with beautiful tapestries, woven garments, and pillows. It had taken some convincing with Neytiri, but she ended up loving the pillows and the many uses they have, especially the one made to wrap around her front, helping hold the babies and letting her rest her arms.
Looking down, I hear Neteyam grizzling, with it being time for a feed and a nap.
“I know Teyam, Mama’s going,” I soothe, preparing his bottle, another human invention I had to convince Neytiri of.
Warming his milk, I check it on my wrist before pouring it into his bottle. I walk over to the pillows, situating myself and Neteyam as his whines increase in volume, “Shh, lovey, I got it right here,” I coo, placing the tip in his mouth.
Neteyam eagerly latches on, suckling the milk into his mouth and swallowing greedily. He rests his arms on his stomach as his eyes grow heavy. I rest Neteyam on a pillow, angling him towards me, as I use my now free hand to rub over his head. He continues to suck at his bottle like it’s his last meal until it’s finished. Sitting him up, I hold him under his chin before patting his back gently, forcing the trapped wind out. After the wind came up, I brought him back to my chest, cradling him close to me as he readied himself for a nap. Smoothing his hair and running a finger over his face, Neteyam’s eyes droop further as sleep calls him. I chuckle softly as I watch him drift to sleep. With nothing else to do, I sit there watching his beautiful face as he rests peacefully, his chest rising and falling with every breath. I can’t help but reflect on everything that brought me here, and despite the losses, I wouldn’t trade this moment for the world. Knowing that I will be here for a while, I grab my last weaving project, another sling, as we’ll need it with the new little one, as they’ll be here any day.
Jake named Neteyam, wanting to honor Neytiri’s side of the family, and with Neteyam being a mini Neytiri, it worked perfectly. Neytiri named Kiri, naming her after her biological mother. I am unsure of who will name the newest one, but thoughts have circled in my head. One particular name stays around, refusing to leave.
“Darling, why must you look at me like that?” I hear Jake as he enters our kelku.
I turn to see him wearing the Olo’eyktan ornaments, with Kiri strapped to his chest, staring at her father without blinking.
“Please, baby girl, just blink,” Jake’s voice turns to pleading.
I laugh quietly at Jake losing a fight with his infant daughter, grabbing his attention.
“Hey, Sweetheart, how has your day been?” Jake asks, lowering his voice when he notices Neteyam sleeping.
I smile at him, bemused, as Kiri has yet to blink, “It’s been good. Got some time with Neteyam, saw Tsu’tey, now what is this about Kiri and not blinking?” I ask, giggling softly.
A groan escaped Jake, “I swear to you, she hasn’t blinked in over five minutes. She just stares at me blankly.” Truth be told, I still haven’t seen Kiri blink yet.
I have to restrain myself from laughing, “Gosh, I love that girl,”
“You say that like she hasn’t been purposely tormenting me,” Jake exaggerated.
“While that may be true, you did miss something important today.” I tease him.
Curiously, Jake’s face furrows as he smiles hesitantly, “And what did I miss?”
“Well, you see, I went to go and force Neytiri to chill out because I found her bow fishing with Neteyam again. After convincing her to hand over to Neteyam, she gave me a quick parting kiss.” I pause for dramatic effect, “Now Neteyam didn’t like that the attention was off of him, and Neytiri pointed out that he didn’t like that his Sa’nu and Mama were getting more attention than him. Apparently, Neteyam needed to get his point across, and he did that by saying ‘Mama,’” I grin triumphantly.
“Neteyam, Neteyam said his first word? He said, Mama!” Jake’s ears and tail flickered in glee as he fought to keep his voice down. “I can’t believe it!” Jake paused briefly, his tail drooping, “I can’t believe I missed it!” Realizing he missed another milestone.
I chuckle at his actions; poor Jake kept missing things, “Well, if you want to switch, maybe Neteyam will speak for you when he wakes, and our little miss will finally blink.” I reach my free arm out.
Grumbling, he unwraps Kiri from her sling, and we switch babies; Neteyam snuffles a little before settling in Jake’s arms, while Kiri finally blinks, realizing that she’s with her Mama a gummy smile stretched over her face, two little white spots on top of her gums.
I laugh, realizing that Jake missed something else, “Jake, my love,” I look at him, grinning.
He looks at me, concerned, “What is it this time?”
“Our daughter has two teeth coming in,” I grin triumphantly.
“What? No way!” He rushes over the best he can with a sleeping Neteyam.
I turn Kiri around, moving her top lip to show the two white spots, “Looks like her fangs are coming in first. Is that normal for na’vi?” I ask while feeling the spots, seeing how far along they are.
“I don’t even know what human baby teeth come in first, let alone na’vi,” He admitted sheepishly.
“I’ll have to ask Neytiri or Mo’at, depending on how long Neytiri decides to stay out. Kiri’s teeth are coming along.” I mention.
Jake feels Kiri’s gums, much to her ire, “I’d probably do it sooner than later. Those teeth aren’t waiting for anyone,” He explains, removing his finger as Kiri goes to chomp down.
I laugh as Jake looks at our daughter fearfully, “Alright, scaredy cat,” I sit up and move towards the door.
I struggle to put on the sling for Kiri, but after successfully trying it, I wave back at Jake before heading back out.
The healing tent, thankfully, isn’t far from our marui, a brisk walk. The longest part of it was when I stopped digging up a plant for Kiri to hold. The plant seemed to react to her presence, but that was a topic for another day.
The healing tent isn't really a tent. It’s underground, beneath the roots of a tree, giving a warm and cozy vibe when you walk in, bringing warmth and peace as the scents of herbs and tinctures brush my nose. Mo’at stands in the middle of the undergrowth, grinding petals into her mortar.
“Oel ngati kameie, Mo’at,” I call out respectfully.
Her head swivels to look at me. A soft smile brushes her face as she spots Kiri and I, “Oel ngati kameie. I trust that you two are alright?” She asks, eyeing us for injuries.
“We are fine. Just came to show you Kiri’s new teeth,” I return her smile.
Mo’at’s ears and tail flickered in joy as her face lit up, “Bring her here! I must see,” She quickly abandons her work.
Laughing, I untangle the sling, happily handing over Kiri to her grandmother. Mo’at eagerly took her granddaughter, placing a finger inside Kiri’s mouth, feeling at the emerging teeth.
“Two little fangs; it seems they’re coming in just fine!” She spoke excitedly, her voice soft to not bother Kiri.
“Jake and I  were wondering, is it normal for na’vi babies' fangs to come in first?” I ask, seeing that Mo’at is happy with the progress.
Removing her finger from Kiri’s mouth, she explains, “Hmm, yes, one or two top fangs come in at a time, then the bottom ones. After that, the front teeth fill in.”
I nod my head, happy with her words, “That’s a little different than what I am used to, but I am glad that everything is normal.”
“Is that not how humans work?” She asks curiously.
“Actually-”
“Sa’nok! Do you know where Jake and (Y/N) are?” I hear Neytiri call.
“I am here, Love!” I called back to her.
“What is the matter ‘Ite?” Mo’at answers as Neytiri comes into sight, Tsu’tey at her side.
“I am in labor; our newest one is early,” She explains calmly as she shuffles her way into the healing tent.
Looking at Tsu’tey, I grab Kiri from Mo’at and hand her to him, “Ready?” I ask him.
“I have been waiting. We knew the day would be soon.” Tsu’tey accepts Kiri from me.
“Jake is at our kelku with Neteyam. If you could, please send him our way, that would be amazing,” I comment as I go through the mental birthing plan.
“Do not worry. I will send Jake your way and care for the little ones,” He calmly states, noticing my incoming panic.
“Thank you, Tsu’tey,” I give one last kiss to Kiri’s cheek before turning and joining Neytiri and Mo’at further into the tree roots.
The deeper underground is only illuminated by the surrounding plants. As I walked down, it became warmer as steam poured upward, and the healing pools were heated, creating the perfect place for birthing. The area brings a natural peace, helping calm me.
Neytiri was already resting in a pool, her garments folded neatly off to the side, as she relaxed with her mother next to her. I sit next to the pool, grabbing Neytiri’s hand and placing it on my face.
“Are you calm now, ‘Ite?” Mo’at asks me.
Sighing, I reply, “Much better now. I’m sorry for panicking,” I mutter to Neytiri.
She laughs softly at me, “Jake was much worse when Neteyam was born. I thought he was going to pass out on me,” Her large thumb caresses my face.
“In our defense, human births are an ordeal. Sometimes it takes several days, and surgery is still needed to remove the baby,” I mumble, eased as I remember na’vi births are relatively simple.
“Several days? That seems excessive,” Mo’at questioned.
“Human births are not easy. It's excruciating. I know my mother was in labor with me for 29 hours before the doctor agreed to remove me surgically.” I explain, grimacing.
“Surgically?” Mo’at mutter aghast.
“Yes, my mother didn’t dilate enough for me to pass through, so instead, they cut open through several layers of flesh and into the womb to remove me.”  I wince at the idea, “The only other option would be to attempt to force me out, which would have either gotten me stuck, most likely killing both of us or my mother would have torn, causing her to bleed out.”
The two women looked at me fearfully, unable to process what I explained to them.
“And this is common for humans?” Mo’at asked softly, slightly pale.
“Yeah, around 1 million births a year are c-sections,” I struggled to remember the average number.
“Would you be at risk for those?” Neytiri asked concernedly.
I look at her earnestly, “Oh, definitely, that’s why Jake and I are so careful because a na’vi baby would be so large that I would be on bed rest from about the 4th month and would need a c-section. Although we do have several human doctors who can perform the surgery, it’s really just the pregnancy that has us concerned.”
Neytiri goes to speak, but a wince cuts her off. I look down and notice her slit is swollen, symbolizing that her cervix is moving forward slowly. I place my hand into the water, gently rubbing at the side of her slit, trying to help ease the tension building there.
“After hearing that, this seems easy,” She groans.
“Hey, don’t play down your pain. Your body is literally rearranging itself for birth; you get to complain, groan, and moan, and I will personally help you if you threaten Jake, and Jake will as well.” I scold her gently but firmly.
“Threaten? Is that normal for human births? Neytiri’s giggles were infectious.
“Yeah, just the standard things though, ‘You’re never touching me again!’, ‘I’m cutting off your balls and feeding them to the dog!’ you know the normal things.” I comment, remembering some of the things I had heard before.
Mo’at and Neytiri burst into laughter, their giggles echoing to the top of the healing pod.
Jake walked into the birthing room smiling, “It seems I’m missing out.”
“Oh, you know, just threatening humankind by castrating men,” I smile sweetly.
Jake winces, pushing his legs together at the thought, “Babe, I don’t have those anymore, and that’s still terrifying.”
“I still find it odd that human sex are outside the body, males in particular. It literally sways as they move,” Neytiri muses, furrowing her brow.
My head tilts back in laughter, amused by her disgust, “Love, I was terrified when Jake showed me his slit and a giant dick covered in spikes came out! Human genitals are tame compared.”
I quickly shut my mouth, remembering that Mo’at was in the room. I sent her an apologetic look, apologizing for my language. She merely chuckles, shaking her head.
“Now that your mates are here, I will go upstairs. I’ll come back after you are finished together.” With that, she left up the stairs.
Jake takes her spot, kneeling on the other side of the pool, his hand rubbing at Neytiri’s neck, easing her muscles, “How are you feeling?”
“Sore and uncomfortable, this one is ready to leave,” She mutters, and I can feel her inner muscles contracting and moving around.
“I can feel it. Baby wants out now,” I chuckle lightly, realizing something, “All of our kids are eager today: Neteyam’s first word, Kiri’s first teeth, and now baby three is rushing their own birth.”
Neytiri’s face lit up, “Kiri has a fang now?” She asked excitedly.
“Two little teeth are pushing through, two little white spots on her gums,” Jake explains, cupping warm water and trailing it over her shoulders.
“Ahhh, I can not wait to see them,” Her face is aglow.
“And despite Jake having her all day, he still managed to miss them. I spotted her teeth,” I giggle at Jake’s luck.
“Ma Jake, what is with our children and avoiding you,” Neytiri’s laugh brought joy to us as we successfully distracted her.
“I held her all day! There is no way I could have missed that!” Jake whines.
“You also held a staring contest with her and lost,” I pointed out.
“She wouldn’t blink! Five minutes!” He exclaimed.
Neytiri’s head fell back as her laughter rang through the underground.
“Our ‘Ite will walk all over you when she is older,” Her giggles trail off.
“I can’t fight an eight-month-old baby,” Jake’s pout was evident.
Neytiri and I look at each other, smiling, knowing that our husband was thoroughly whipped for his daughter.
“Oh!” Neytiri exclaimed.
I press around the sides of her slit, feeling the baby's head was close, “I’m going to start prepping you, Love,” I explain to her.
I wait for her nod of consent before gently rubbing at her slit. The opening is swollen from the moving blood. I press down with easy pressure, moving my fingers from top to bottom, urging her slit to open. A sharp hiss leaves Neytiri’s mouth as she grabs Jake’s hand.
“Easy, it’s okay baby, we got you,” I can hear Jake hold back a wince of his own from her firm grip on his hand.
“Is this where humans would start to threaten their male mate?” Neytiri asked through clenched teeth.
“Yes, Love, this is typically that time,” I send a knowing grin to Jake, excited to hear the explicit that will fall from her mouth.
Jake gives me a dark look but otherwise doesn’t say anything.
“Jake! You bastard!” She starts off strong, “If I didn’t like it so much, I would cut off your dick and feed it to the Ikran’s!”
With that, I had to duck my head, hiding the smile that couldn’t stop. I focus back on my task, feeling her muscles giving in to my touch. I push a little harder, needing to break the seal that her pregnancy caused.
“Fuck you, Jake! I’m trying your dick to an Ikran and having it take flight!” Her scream was shrill as I broke the seal.
“You’re doing such a good job, Love. The seal’s broken. The worst of it is over.” I coo to her.
“By Eywa, that seal is horrible,” Neytiri mutters breathlessly, the sharp pain of the seal breaking causing her to lose her breath.
Now that her slit is open, I can see the fluid from her womb flow out, tainting the pool in a soft blue glow. I dip my fingers inside, feeling for the baby’s head. Their crown was near but not properly aligned yet.
“Almost there, Love. Just a couple more minutes, and we can get them out,” I explain softly, my fingers never leaving the baby’s head.
Neytiri chuckles through her groans, “This one is eager, a week early, and not even an hour in labor.”
“Neteyam was average, right? Three hours?” He questions.
I look up at Neytiri’s face, wondering what the answer is, “Yes, three to four hours is average. And I now know why. I can feel this one moving my organs at their whim.” She hisses as the baby moves again.
Their fuzzy head is beneath my fingertips as their crown aligns some more. I shot Jake a pointed look, so I could continue to ease the rest of her slit open.
“So what are the names we had listed?” He asked lamely.
“Well, for a girl, we all agreed on Mi’niri or Tuktirey,” Neytiri reminded him.
“If she’s named Tuktirey, the kids may have a hard time with her name until they are older,” I warned as I used the warm water to gently ease away the remains of the seal.
“Mhm,” She groaned as more the seal was parted, “I don’t think any of us agreed on a boy name,” Wincing as more of her slit parted.
Noticing that the baby was trying to push itself out early, I placed a bit of pressure on their head, needing to open Neytiri’s slit fully; otherwise, it could hurt both Neytiri and the baby.
“Jake, this is 100% your child,” I mutter, trying to hurry but not wanting to hurt Neytiri anymore.
Sputtering, Jake managed out, “What did I do?”
“Your child likes to finish early,” I muttered blankly.
“I do not finish early!” Jake protested.
“Then why do I always make our, Paskalin cum?” Neytiri joins in.
Using Jake’s bruised ego as a distraction, I finish peeling apart the bottom of Neytiri’s slit, allowing our baby to come out.
“Ready, Tiri? Our baby is ready to come out now,” I explain to her softly, my joy barely contained.
I remove my hand from her slit; instead, I place both my hands outside and around, ready to catch our baby. Neytiri grips onto Jake’s hand, takes a deep breath, and pushes. As she strains, her slit parts wide, showing us the baby’s head.
“You’re doing so good; they’re almost here,” Jake cooed into her ear.
I look and see Neytiri struggling. I pat her hip and say, “Breathe, my love, you need to breathe.” I rub at her hip as she follows my words, “There you go, good job, just breathe,” I praise her.
I watch as her breathing regulates itself and that she’s ready to try again, “Ready, baby? They’re almost here; I can see their head. Just give me another push.” I explain softly, readying myself again.
One more breath, and she started to push, grunting as our baby’s head slowly went past her slit, letting us see their head to the top of their eyes.
“Almost there, Love!” I exclaimed as their head finally popped through, “That their head, good job, Lovie, one more push for the shoulders, and then our baby is here.”
With that, Neytiri pushed as hard as she could, forcing the shoulders out, and the rest of our baby slid out. I grabbed the baby, bringing its face above the water as I cleaned the membrane off its face.
Their little face scrunched up as they took their first breath before crying out their displeasure. I coo at them as I finish cleaning them off, looking for any abnormalities or injuries. As I washed them, their slit that hides their internal genitals didn’t have the strength to close and won't for many months.
I slowly had them over to Neytiri, “Say hello to our son,” I whispered over his cries.
The three of us crowd together, our arms all coiled around each other, each touching one another and our new son. Tears were in all of our eyes as Neytiri brought our son to her teat, and his cries died off as he quickly latched on and began to drink.
“He’s got a good appetite,” Jake softly chuckled, not wanting to startle the baby.
“He just wants his Sa’nu,” I chuckle back.
Slowly, I reach around and grab Neytiri’s kuru, bringing it forward as Jake goes for our son’s, the bare neural whip, tiny in his large hands. We both look at Neytiri, waiting for her to say something, but her eyes could leave our son's face. He was content where he was, laying snuggly against his Sa’nu, eating his first meal.
Jake clears his throat, trying to grab her attention. Neytiri is slow to look away but eventually meets his eyes. Recognition faces through her face as she sees the kurus in our grasp.
“Please,” She whispers.
And we obey slowly; we bring them together, the glowing strands wrapping around each other as Tsaheylu was formed. Slowly, Neytiri’s eyes closed as she relaxed into the bond, feeling everything that our son felt, the first bond being made.
Jake and I looked at each other, knowing that everything we had gone through was worth it for these moments. We slowly brought our faces together, and our lips met softly just over our baby’s head. It was sweet and passionate, full of love.
“I love you two, but do that somewhere else,” Neytiri gripped at us, her eyes remaining closed.
We part quickly, like teens caught by their parents, before we laughed quietly. I go back to finishing my job, cleaning Neytiri, and clamping the umbilical cord, severing one of the internal bonds.
We all sat there quietly, Jake and I watching our son eat his fill, snuffling as he suckled. By the time he was finished, his little tummy was rounded full from his meal. I reached over and placed my hand on his stomach.
“Look at his tummy, Jake,” I coo, loving the feel of a newborn.
“Our little one is a good eater,” He responds, smiling, his hand rubbing at our son's head.
“He enjoys your attentions,” Neytiri mumbles, a soft smile on her face.
“He knows who his parents are,” Jake comments, his voice deep rumbling in a purr.
A little squeaky sound follows, a little chirping noise that our son is making, the purr of an infant. The continued squeaking purr filled the underground, mixing with Jake’s comforting rumbles. Slowly and slightly reluctantly, Neytiri disconnects from our baby, handing him over to Jake. He grabs him and cradles our son to his chest, their purrs syncing. I grabbed Neytiri’s hand, linking our fingers together.
We stayed down there for what seemed like hours, simply holding the baby and comforting each other. It was once again my turn with our son. He lay curled with his head resting above my heart. I smoothed a hand down his fuzzy head and down his back before doing it again, memorizing the sanhì that covers his body. This time, he was asleep, so it was quiet in the underground once again.
“Ma Yawne,” Neytiri called, “Jake and I have been discussing, and we agree it’s your turn to choose the name,” Her smile was soft as tears stung my eyes.
“We’ve both named a child. This time, it's yours,” Jake added as he wrapped an arm around me.
“I-I never-I haven’t.” I stuttered out as tears poured out of my eyes, trailing down and dropping on my son's head.
Neytiri crawled out of the pool, sitting herself next to me. She grabbed my face and placed a gentle kiss on my lips, “You are one of us, Yawntutsyìp; you are our Syulang, never doubt that.” Her voice was full of passion as I leaned into her touch.
I have never doubted they loved me, but being the only human in this relationship comes with hardships and worries—fears of never being enough for them. But this was real and couldn’t be taken back.
Choking back my tears, I look at my son's face again, wondering which name to go with, even though I already knew the answer.
“Lo’ak,” I whispered, “His name is Lo’ak,”
“Like Lo’akur Toruk Makto Amulet, it’s perfect, Yawne,” Her voice wobbled as she held me closer.
I lean up and lay my lips on the underside of her jaw as Jake wraps himself around my other side.
“I think it’s a perfect name,” But then he whispers quietly enough that Neytiri can’t hear, “It is Lo’ak and not LOAC, right?”
I refused to respond to that with words. Instead, I leaned to the side and bit his ear.
“Hey! Let go. I was just asking,” Jake whined quietly, trying not to wake Lo’ak.
I continue with my hold on Jake’s ear, laughing as he attempts to get away from my teeth.
On my other side, I can feel rumbling, Neytiri’s laughter, “Children, I’m mated to two children,” A grin overtook her face.
I quickly let go of Jake’s ear and turned to her, “You love us this way,” I smiled cheekily.
She said nothing as she kissed my lips before doing the same to a pouting Jake.
And I know that this moment couldn’t be better.
Tumblr media
“Ma Syulang, I will be patrolling today. Jake should be back soon, but if I see Tsu’tey, I will send him to help you,” Neytiri rambles as she places her ionar.
I picked up Neteyam before he climbed onto our cooking spot.
I turned and put on my best smile, “Don’t worry, Love, I’ll be fine until Jake gets back,” With that, Lo’ak started crying; growing in four fangs at once was painful.
Based on Neytiri’s face, I don’t think I did a good job in convincing her I was indeed fine, “I think I will wait for Jake to return before leaving,” She explains as she stops Kiri from putting a random leaf in her mouth, causing her to cry.
I quickly placed Neteyam into the front of the sling, as Lo’ak was tied to my back, before moving over to Kiri, grabbing her wooden Ikran toy. Showing Kiri the toy, she quieted down, and I went to take her from Neytiri as Neteyam wiggled, becoming frustrated from the lack of mobility.
“I’ve got them. You go on patrol,” I demand, as Netyeam grabbed a fist full of my hair and yanked.
“Neteyam!” I scolded, a burning, sharp pain radiating through my skull.
My shout scared the babies, causing all three to tear up and cry. Lo’ak’s cries turned into squeals, even more upset on top of the pain. Neteyam pulled again in his frustration, and I quickly put him down into the gated play area, “Neteyam, that is not okay. I know you’re upset, but you hurt Mama. You’re going to sit in here until you can use gentle hands. Mama loves you, but you can not hurt people,” I scolded softly but firmly.
I sat down near the gate but left it out of reach; I pulled Lo’ak to my front, setting him next to Kiri as I shooshed them, trying to calm the two of them.
Neytiri walks urgently to my side, “Here, let me take one,” As she goes to grab one of the kids.
“No, Neytiri, I’m the one that scared them. I need to be the one to calm them and reassure them. I will do the same once Neteyam is out of timeout.” I sighed as Kiri’s cries trailed off into sniffles.
“I’m sorry, babies, Mama shouldn’t have yelled. I’m sorry for scaring you. Mama loves you,” I coo to them, apologizing for my actions.
I continued to coo and rock them as Neteyam’s time came up. I walked over and stepped over the gate, sitting next to Neteyam. I pulled him into my arms, and he wrapped his chubby baby arms around my neck.
I kiss his head gently, “Neteyam, I love you so much, but you can not hurt people. Can you tell Mama you’re sorry?” I ask him gently.
“Sorry, Mama,” He sniffles, his little fingers clawing in distress.
“You’re forgiven, baby. Mama loves you so much,” I curled Neteyam closer to me as I leaned back against some pillows against the gate.
“Love Mama,” He grizzles, rubbing his face in my neck.
“Mama loves you too, Teyam,” I whisper, noticing that the three of them are starting to settle down.
Seeing that Neytiri was still standing there watching us, I used my face to gesture to the blanket nearby. Understanding what I wanted, she grabbed the soft blanket, covering the four of us in the soft fur.
“Mama loves all of you so much,” I whisper again, kissing each of their heads.
Noticing that the situation was handled, Neytiri blew me a kiss before strapping her quiver on, her bow in hand, “Do you need anything, Yawne?” She asked one last time.
“Thank you, Love, but I’m good,” I whisper as I hear Kiri’s little snores.
Giving us one last soft look, she left the kelku, leaving me with a snoring baby, a dozing baby, and a grizzly baby. I mentally curse at myself, realizing I should have asked for one of the baby sleeping mats to be placed next to me instead of where I spot it on the other side of the gated area.
Accepting my fate as a baby bed for the time being, I slouch a bit more, getting myself comfortable.
“Mama?” Neteyam asked drowsily.
“Yes, baby?” I hum, petting his hair.
“Mama?” He asks again, slower than the last time.
“Mama loves you, Netyeam,” I whisper again.
Slowly, his breathing eases out as he falls into a deep sleep.
Now that two of the three kids were sleeping, I turned to the third baby. Lo’ak was lying there resting, chewing on the strap to the sling, grizzling sleepily as he fights sleep and the pain of the emerging teeth. I kiss his forehead, bringing his attention to me.
“Mama loves you, Lo’ak, just as Mama loves Neteyam, and how Mama loves Kiri. I wish I could take the pain from you and help you rest, just as I wished I could do it for your siblings.” I ramble on, holding eye contact with Lo’ak, “Your Sempu is getting something to help with your teeth from your grandma, but he’s taking a long time, isn’t he? I love your Sempu, too, but he can be such a skxawng sometimes,” I smiled at Lo’ak, and in return, he gave me a watery smile before returning to gnawing on the straps of the sling.
He turned his head left to right, switching sides to alleviate the pressure. Using my not-so-free hand, I place my hand on his head, rubbing his cheek with my thumb, trying to give him the comfort he needs as he grizzles. Feeling something on his face, Lo’ak turns, sucking my finger into his mouth and gnawing on my thumb. He grinds his teeth and gums into my thumb, and I can feel my thumbnail crunching under the strength. I maneuver my thumb out of his mouth, trying not to curse at the pain. Looking at the offended limb, I see cracks in my nail from where he bit.
“You got a strong jaw there, baby. Gotta make sure nothing breakable goes in your mouth,” I laugh at Lo’ak’s disgruntled look, “Now, don’t give me that look. I like my thumb in one piece,” I say, wiggling my thumb, trying to ease the pain.
Lo’ak’s eyes filled with tears as his new teething toy disappeared. I quickly leave small kisses all over Lo’ak’s face, distracting him from the loss of my thumb. Soft little baby giggles fill the kelku as the onslaught of kisses amuses him.
“Now that’s one of my favorite sounds. My other favorite is when you and Neytiri scream my name,” Jake’s face was stretched in a smirk.
Without looking away from Lo’ak, I calmly mentioned, “If you like us yelling your name, I’ll make sure to tell Neytiri it was you who lost the feathers she gathered for her arrows.” I quickly blow a raspberry on Lo’ak’s face, bringing forth more of his giggles.
“Easy baby, it was just a joke; please don’t sign my death warrant,” I hear him plead as he kneels next to the gated area.
“See, Lo’ak, I told you he’s such a Skxawng,” I explain to Lo’ak, his eyes attentive to me.
“Is this what you do while I’m gone? Teach them propaganda against me?” Jake teases, baffled.
“Yes, I’m staging a coup. Neytiri is my bodyguard, Neteyam is my recruiter, Kiri is my lookout, and Lo’ak is my second. Fear me, Jake Sully, your time is limited.” I drawl.
“Ha! You forgot Mo’at! She won't betray the Olo’eyktan!” Jake exclaimed quietly.
“She will if her daughter is on my side, idiot,” I snark back at him, a smile threatening to cover my face.
“Hmm, that is true, but I also have the numbing paste for Lo’ak,” He teases, hanging the bag over my head.
Interested in his father's actions, Lo’ak tries to reach for the bag above us.
“You would stoop so low as to threaten your own son's comfort?” I gasped dramatically. If my hands weren't full, I would place a hand over my heart.
“Anything to keep my lovely mates by my side. Now kiss me,” Jake demands, smiling at me, leaning down.
“You’re such a tease. We should role-play this some night,” I comment, leaning up to meet him.
“I love that idea. You think Neytiri would be on board?” Jake asks concernedly, stepping over the gate, taking the two sleeping babies from me and cuddling them to his chest.
“Well, first, we would have to explain what role-playing is, but I have heard her say she wished you would command her in bed more often. As long as she knows that it won't change in our day-to-day life, I think she’ll love it,” I reply, explaining what I had heard.
“I hope she likes it,” He smiles, his tale swishing happily behind him.
I sat there thinking for a moment as I rubbed the paste into Lo’ak’s gums, careful not to let his jaws clamp on my finger again, “Gosh, I don’t think we’ve been intimate since before Lo’ak was born. It has been what, ten months now?” I ask Jake, really wondering if it had been that long.
“324 days, to be exact,” He replied in a snap.
“Babe, have you wanted it that long?” I asked him concernedly.
Jake slowly shakes his head, “It’s alright, I have a working hand. We were all so tired, three babies right back to back. I didn’t want either of you two to feel stressed or pressured, so I kept my mouth shut,” He shrugged like it was no big deal.
Tears sprung to my eyes hearing this, wishing that Jake understood how much this truly meant. I stand to my feet, shifting Lo’ak so he is lying against my chest as he drifts to sleep now that the pain is gone. I cradle Jake's face in my hand as I kiss him passionately, pouring my love for him into the kiss.
Parting slowly, I rest my forehead against his, “What did I ever do to deserve you?”
Jake smiles softly, “The first time we met, I was in a wheelchair and got pushed down a hall. The force of the push caused me to hit you, and you fell into my lap. You could have yelled at me, blamed me, and so many others had.” Jake’s voice breaks as he licks his lips, “But instead, you took one look at the situation, and you apologized to me, even though you were the victim too before you hunted down the bastard and broke their nose, before chewing them out in front of everyone around. I knew right then and there that you were the one for me.” Jake rubbed his nose on mine as he couldn’t hold me with the two babies in his arms.
I curl into Jake’s arms the best I can, tears trailing down my face from the mixed emotions swirling inside me.
“That long? And you didn’t say anything?” I whispered, my voice cracked.
“You were so pretty and firey, way out of my league. I was just a dumb jarhead stuck in a wheelchair. I was just happy to be in your presence.” Jake wrapped his tail around, laying it on my lap.
“You were always so much more than that. You were my first friend there, so kind and funny. I always had to stop myself from laughing when you snarked at Grace. You were always so strong and never took any shit. I knew I was falling in love with you, but the day you chose the na’vi over the humans, the day you betrayed your own species for the greater good, I knew I wasn’t going to let you slip away.” I explained to him, kissing him again softly.
“Who would have thought we were both such simps,” Jake smiled into our kiss.
I giggled a bit, “Neytiri did. If it weren't for her, I doubt any of this would have happened,” I gestured to our kids.
“That is tru-AHHHHHHHH!!!” Jake screamed, waking the babies and filling the air with their screams.
Panicking, I back away, trying to see what’s wrong.
“Don’t do that!” Jake yelled again.
“Don’t do what?” I scream in return.
Both the babies in Jake’s arms were squealing, terrified of the noise, as they waved their fists in the air. But Lo’ak was quiet. Looking down, I see the culprit of Jake’s pain. Right in Lo’ak’s little mouth lay Jake’s tail, clenched between those strong jaws and little teeth.
“Lo’ak’s biting your tail!” I screamed, trying to pull Jake’s tail out of Lo’ak’s mouth.
“I see that! Now stop pulling!” Jake's teeth were bared in a natural defense to the pain.
“Well then, how would you like to handle this?” I yelled back, barely hearing anything over the screaming babies.
“I don't know! Just do something!” He yells, trying to pull his tail out of Lo’ak’s mouth.
“Stop yelling! You’re scaring the babies!” I screamed back, trying to push on Lo’ak’s jaw to get him to let go.
Lo’ak’s squeaky growls add to the mix of screaming and whiling. Lo’ak does not want his new chew toy taken away, and he learned the last time to not let go.
“Fuck! Lo’ak! Let go!” Jake’s voice started to slip into a growl, fighting the challenge that Lo’ak started.
“I love you, but don’t you dare growl at the baby,” I hissed at him while still trying to pry Lo’ak’s jaw open.
“He started it!” He hissed back.
Kiri, either from fear or simply being done with shit, reached out and sunk her teeth into Jake’s shoulder, her growls adding to the mix.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, Kiri, let go!” Jake yelled out.
“Da fuck? Why Kiri?” I asked no one in particular.
“Is everything alright in here,” I hear Tsu’tey call.
Jake and I snap our heads over to him, “NO!” We yell in tandem.
“What is going on?” Tsu’tey’s deep voice asked over the chaos.
“Lo’ak bit Jake’s tail, and Kiri bit his shoulder, and we can’t get them to let go!” I rushed to explain while my hand started to cramp.
“Tsu’tey, seriously, help us get them off!” Jake demanded as nicely as he was able to.
“Have you scruffed them? That usually works,” Tsu’tey asked, baffled.
“Why would we scruff a baby?” I asked, bewildered and slightly hostile.
“Be-because it calms them and will make them let go?” He answered, questioning us and himself.
“You know what, I don’t care, as long as it gets them off!” Jake hissed again.
Slow Tsu’tey walked over as if we were aggressive animals waiting to ponce. Spotting Kiri first, he slowly moved his hand over the back of her neck, gently rubbing before holding onto the skin there. A confused noise left her as she let go. Quickly, Tsu’tey grabbed her and held her properly.
“You scruff them,” He explained calmly.
Looking down at Lo’ak, I move my hand from his jaw and copy the same movements that Tsu’tey did, and with a bated breath, Lo’ak let go. Jake grabbed his tail in relief as we all started to soothe the distressed babies. All of us are now mindful of the little teeth in their mouths.
“Brother, I thank you for your help in this, but if Neytiri ever finds out about this, I will personally make sure you and Ninat cannot have children,” Jake murmured while rocking Neteyam.
“No need for that, JakeSully. It is a right of passage in parenthood. Neytiri will be thrilled to see those scars!” Tsu’tey laughed, “Eytukan wore the scars Neytiri and Sylwanin gave him with pride. He would decorate the marks on the day of their birth.”
I look at Jake, bewildered that this is normal here, and based on the look that he gave me, he was thinking the same thing.
“How-how often does this happen?” I asked tentatively.
“About once or twice a child,” Tsu’tey shrugged like it was no big deal.
“I’m going to tap out of this tradition as a human who is highly susceptible to infections, and I know that those teeth can and will do severe damage to me. For my safety, that isn’t gonna happen,” I deadpan.
I hear them both wince at the thought.
“That may be a good idea,” Tsu’tey, the biggest stickler for traditions, admitted.
“Fuck!”
All eyes turned to the shouted curse.
“Please tell me-”
“Fuck!” Followed by little giggles.
“We’re so dead,” Jake muttered, all the color draining from his face.
“We have to hide this from Neytiri,” I whispered back.
Neteyam looked at Kiri from across the room, “Fuck!” He shouted at his sister, followed by giggles.
Kiri waved her arms excitedly, “Fuck!” She giggled back.
Tsu’tey slowly stood up, gently passing me Kiri like she was an atomic bomb, “You two seem to have a handle on this. I will take my leave now,” With that, he ran away with his tail between his legs, like a coward.
“Did we ever finish writing our wills?” I ask, as Neteyam’s responding ‘fuck’ travels through the air.
“The na’vi don’t have wills,” Jake answered, accepting his fate.
“Maybe she’ll kill us quickly,” I whispered hopefully.
“Uck!” Lo’ak shouted his first word.
Slowly, we looked at Lo’ak before looking back at each other, dread filling our souls. Neteyam and Kiri were thrilled at their baby brother joining them. Their laughter and shouts of ‘fuck’ echo through the room, all three of them filled with glee. Not understanding that they were going to be raised by a single mother soon.

The most words you had ever said to your roommate were on the day you interviewed him before he moved in. You immediately noticed that he was strange, but also shy and seemingly harmless. When you had asked why he needed to move in so quickly, he had said something along the lines of a “toxic environment” with his previous roommates: “Denji and Power are just too noisy and reckless. They’re four years younger than me. I need a place less chaotic.” You had been interested in getting to know more – you were curious, after all, about your potential roomie – but once he mentioned that you’d probably never see him because he worked nights, you were sold.
Aki Hayakawa was your new roommate.
He had never been more excited to finally get away from Denji and Power and the tumultuous mess they had turned his apartment into. He was older now; he needed something for himself, even if it was with a roommate. Being a Public Safety Devil Hunter, he needed a place that didn’t think twice about him, a roommate who didn’t ask questions. That’s what he liked about you: your place was on the right side of the city, and you looked at him like he was normal. The Fox Devil said you weren’t going to be good for him, but Aki tended to ignore them anyway.
You had helped him move into your second bedroom just a week later and he hardly said a word, except to ask you who had formerly occupied this space. You were hesitant to talk about it at first, but you cracked soon enough: “My old best friend lived in here. We had rented this place together, but we … aren’t exactly speaking anymore,” you admitted, setting a box down at his feet. “I came home from work one evening and found my boyfriend cheating on me with her. It had been going on for months, right under my nose.” You looked away when you felt your eyes start to sting with tears, sniffling them away. “Friends come and go, I guess. But I’m thankful you, at least, worked out to rent this space.”
“Well,” he sighed, opening up the box as you turned back to him. He smirked. “I promise I won’t sleep with your boyfriend.”
You had laughed, and what a pretty sound it was. After move-in day, Aki was true to his word that you almost never saw him. You worked a normal 9 to 5, while Aki … well, you had no idea what Aki did. You assumed he was a security guard or something with the hours he worked and how he was always wearing a suit and tie. He was working all the time, even weekends. Sometimes, you would catch him coming home as you were leaving for work, or on Sunday morning as you ate breakfast in the kitchen. He would be too tired to talk, simply waving at you before retiring to his room.
It was almost like living alone … except for notes he’d sometimes leave you on the stove or the bathroom. Or the weekend mornings, when he’d get you a coffee and leave it out for you before going to his room. Or the once-in-a-blue-moon nights when you’d stumble in the early hours of the morning after drinking in the city with some friends, standing out on the deck with Aki as he smoked a cigarette. Nights like those, you could’ve sworn Fate was trying to get you two to see each other, because you would be arriving home at just the right hour and Aki would be getting off work early. And you would find him on the deck in his suit and tie, cigarette hanging from his lips, hair pulled up in his classic topknot. He would find you leaning against the railing in nothing but a short dress, the glitter on your lids making your eyes sparkle even more, and – god, you were just so pretty.
After that night, he started dreaming about you. He dreamed about how your lips would feel against his, what it would be like to have you sleep next to him and rest your head on his chest. He was consumed by thoughts of you under him, how you tasted, the way you’d tremble if he kissed that sensitive part of your neck you told him about one late night on the deck. His need for you was insatiable. In his line of work, there wasn’t much time for dating, let alone sex. He hadn’t been thinking about it that much, especially when he’d been housing Denji and Power, but now … he couldn’t stop thinking about you. Naked. Underneath him. On top. God dammit, he’d have you any way you wanted.
It made him wish he had acted on his instincts that night on the deck: pushing you against the sliding door, his lips crashing onto yours, hiking your skirt up that just barely covered your thighs and using his non-dominant hand (the one that didn’t shake) to feel how wet you were. But alas, Aki Hayakawa was a gentleman.
You two had been living together for a year. He hardly knew you, but also knew you like nobody else did. He knew how you took your coffee – black with two sugars. He knew the brand of toilet paper you liked. He knew that you liked to hang your coats in the closet on the right side. He knew you drooled in your sleep, and what TV shows made you laugh, and how much your water bill was each month.
He was acting out in ways that were unlike him. If he came home from work and saw you had a guy over, he made his presence known. When you were at the office, sometimes he would go to your room just to smell your perfume, and other times he would steal your panties. (He always gave them back, feeling too shameful. But he did keep one underneath his pillow.) Some nights, he would pretend to leave for work early and you would retire to your room for the night, and then he would hear the familiar sound of your vibrator and – fuck, he had to go to work hard. Again.
You were taking up too much space in his head. He was becoming distracted at work, thinking about what you were doing during these late hours. Maybe the Fox Devil was right: you weren’t good for him.
But he wasn’t moving out any time soon.
It was a Thursday after work and you were completely exhausted. After attending endless meetings and having to argue with coworkers all day, you left work early and were grateful to have a night alone with some leftovers from the night before. You had completely forgotten Aki telling you earlier in the week that he had this Thursday and Friday off, your mind preoccupied with work responsibilities. Sighing as soon as you walked through the door, you set your bag down and shuffled out of your shoes. You shut the door softly, at peace with the silence. You didn’t even have the energy to get out of your work clothes; you simply padded your feet to the fridge, plucking your leftovers out. It was only when you reached up to the microwave that you noticed the apartment wasn’t as silent as you assumed.
Sounds emanated from another room.
You got on your tip-toes, not wanting to make much noise if there was an intruder, and felt for the pocket knife you always kept on your person. Passing by your bedroom first, you popped your head inside. Empty. Hadn’t been touched since you left this morning. The bathroom was next, and you held your breath as the sounds got even more noticeable. You peeked into the bathroom and … clear. Linen closet: clear. Coat closet: clear. But the sounds only became more clear as you got closer to the end of the hall, Aki’s room, and –
You stopped in front of Aki’s bedroom, the door cracked just enough that you didn’t need to pop your head in to see what was happening. Aki was home, for once, and you … you were watching him through the crack in the door. But how could you not? You knew where the sounds were coming from now, because Aki was the one making them.
His dark hair swept in front of his eyes as he sat back against his pillows. He wore a white t-shirt, while his boxers bagged around his ankles. Grunts slipped from his mouth – that pretty, pretty mouth you'd seen wrapped around a cigarette. And his hand … his hand wrapped around his cock, pumping furiously – desperately – with a pair of your panties enveloping the head. The same red lace panties you thought you’d lost months ago.
You almost considered walking away, making noise in the kitchen so he would know you were home, but then –
Then, your name left his mouth in a whimper.
He was stroking himself even faster, muttering your name into the silent room with your panties wrapped so nicely around his cock. He was thinking about you, wanting so desperately cum in your panties, wondering if you thought about him when you used your vibrator. You were frozen in place, completely fixated on him as he leaned back against his headboard, his face finally exposed so you could see the way his jaw went slack, the way he moaned out your name. And – oh my god, you should leave –
But you couldn’t. And deep down, you knew there was a dirty part of you that always wanted to see this. Ever since that night on the deck, when you were wearing your favorite dress and all that glitter, and you noticed that he was looking at you in a way a platonic roommate definitely shouldn’t. You had started to think about him late nights when you were alone with your toy. You brought home dates, wanting him to see, giggling when you recognized his jealous expression. You tried to wake up earlier, just to see him when he stumbled through the door. Once, you even did his laundry to smell the nicotine on his jacket.
The two of you simply couldn’t help yourselves.
And when you watched him finally reach his peak, spilling into your forgotten red lace panties, you realized just how wet the ones you were wearing had become. You watched him grunt as he came, breathing heavily and wiping the sweat off his brow. And when he muttered under his breath a soft, “Fuck,” you couldn’t help the short gasp that left your lips.
Aki stalled. Oh, shit. You hadn’t been quiet enough. He sat up more in his bed, pulling his boxers up, and you whipped your back against the wall. You cupped your hand over your mouth, praying he wouldn’t come out and see. But he was whispering, “Who’s there?” And you only had enough time to move ten feet down the hall before you heard the creak of his soles on the old floorboards.
“Fuck,” he muttered, louder this time.
Your back went straight, and after what felt like an eternity, you slowly turned to face him. “Aki,” you put your hands up in surrender, “I didn’t see anything –”
“Oh, what the fuck,” he shook his head at himself, quickly walking back into his bedroom. You were stunned, not knowing what to do, as he continued talking to himself in the room: “Stupid fucking idiot not closing the fucking door. What the fuck? What the fuck? My worst fucking nightmare. Fuck, why do these pants always get caught around my ankles? I need to get out of here. Stay at Denji’s for the night. Fuck, fuck, fuck –”
He emerged from his bedroom, now wearing jeans, his favorite Converse, and a leather jacket. He tried to pass you without looking, whispering obscenities under his breath, but then you were tugging on his jacket, lips pressed together.
Aki paused, cheeks red with both embarrassment and anger at himself, but you didn’t let go of his sleeve. He noticed the redness of your face as well, the black of your pupils almost covering your entire eye, and were you … were you aroused?
Swallowing hard, your voice was but a mere whisper when you asked, “How long have you had those?”
He knew what you were referring to. It didn’t take an idiot. Your stares were locked, and despite his shame, he wouldn’t turn away. “A while,” he mumbled.
“How long is ‘a while?’”
“Months, okay?” His eyes narrowed and his voice took on a new tone. “Now, can you let go of my jacket so I can leave and save us both the embarrassment –”
“Months,” you repeated, licking the corners of your lips. His eyes were made of blue fire as he stared down at you, and even with your office attire on, you felt utterly naked beneath his gaze. “I’ve … I’ve been thinking about you for months too.”
Aki took a moment to process your words, and your grip hesitantly released on his sleeve. But he wasn’t – he couldn’t – let you get away so easily. His breath was shaky as he placed both of his hands on the wall behind you, pinning you to it. So many times had you two passed each other in this hallway, so many words left unsaid. And now, he was pressing you against it.
“You’ve been thinking about me … for months,” he thought out loud, leaning in a little and nosing your hair. Your scent was intoxicating. That perfume … he could cum in his pants just from smelling it. “For months, you’ve been bringing guys to the apartment to … to what? Make me jealous?” He chuckled under his breath. It took him so long to put it together. “For months, you’ve been touching yourself right before I leave so I go to work fucking hard.” His nose traveled down to your neck, grazing that spot you told him about, and you shuddered. “You’ve been putting me through the wringer and I didn’t even have a clue.”
“You’re … you’re not so innocent.” You tried to keep yourself together, but it was difficult with him pinning you to the wall and – oh, he was already hard in his pants, pressing into you.  “You’ve been stealing my panties so you can masturbate with them.”
Aki hummed quietly, pressing his lips so delicately to your neck, as if his cock wasn’t completely strained in his jeans. “I supposed I have,” he whispered against your skin, “for months.”
“Since that night on the deck,” you croaked out, hands balling into fists as he licked a stripe up your neck. If he didn’t stop, you’d surely moan. “But I didn’t say anything – didn’t think about saying anything – because … because we’re roommates.”
“We are roommates,” he said, lifting his head from your neck, his lips hovering so close to yours. “And if we’re just stating facts here, I’ve needed to kiss you since that night.”
You didn’t wait for him. Immediately leaning in, your lips pressed onto his in a hungry kiss. His mouth molded to yours, and he tasted exactly like you thought: like black coffee, cigarettes, those raspberry pastries he always kept in the kitchen. His tongue, slipping into your mouth, tangled with yours in a way that you had only dreamed about. Your hands released from their fists, instead reaching up to twist in his t-shirt, bringing him even closer to you. He’d hardly touched you and you were completely, utterly soaked.
As if hearing your thoughts, his lips broke from yours for just a moment to beg, “I need to touch you.”
“Please,” you whispered back, and his mouth was back on yours.
He dragged one hand down from the wall (his shaky hand, believe it or not), still pressing you against it, and worked on unzipping your trousers. You nuzzled your nose against his as he kissed you deeply, slipping his hand in your pants, past the waistband of your panties and – you were exactly as he dreamed you’d be. Absolutely wet. Just as needy for him as he was for you. “Fuck,” he muttered into the kiss, spreading your soaked folds with two long fingers.
Your lips tore away from his, a trail of spit following, because you simply had to release the moan you’d been holding in for so long. Despite loving the way your mouth fitted against his, he was glad for it, wanting to see your face when he started rubbing your sensitive clit. And fuck, was it the most beautiful thing he’d ever seen. Your fists on his t-shirt went loose as your body felt like it was made of liquid, angling into his. Your lips pursed, soft whimpers filtering out as he rubbed you in those tight circles.
“So fucking wet f’me,” he mumbled, grazing his lips over yours. “Dreamed about this for months. Fuck, I’ve gotten hard just thinking about this pussy.”
He finally dipped a single finger inside you, and your hips immediately jerked against his hand. Aki let out a shuddering breath when he felt how much you were squeezing just one finger, pumping it in and out of you slowly. “Please,” you whispered, despite his thoughts, “I can take more. I promise.”
You didn’t need to ask him twice. He shoved two fingers inside you, curling them against that spot that had your hips instantly bucking. “Fuck, Aki,” you whined as he plunged those fingers in and out of you, using his thumb to rub your clit.
“Yeah?” He breathed.
“Kiss me.”
Aki moaned from your words alone, kissing you hard while fucking you with his long fingers. He was practically drunk on you: your scent wrapped around him, you tasted like citrus, and the way bucked into his hand … god, he needed to fuck you. So bad. And if you didn’t want that, then he needed to jerk himself off immediately or else he was going to explode in his pants. The last thing he needed was another embarrassing moment tonight.
It only took seconds to have you sighing into the kiss, squeezing his fingers like a vice as you came. His thumb on your clit was relentless, taking you over that lovely peak, as you mewled and cried into his mouth. It was almost religious, the way you moaned, and Aki had never felt closer to God than in this moment.
When the adrenaline subsided, he slowly removed his fingers from you and broke the kiss. You watched him intensely as he brought the fingers covered in your slick to his mouth, tasting you. Your lips fell open slightly, eyes going wide while his own closed, savoring the taste. What the actual fuck, you thought to yourself. How the fuck have we been living under the same roof and it took this long for me to see that?
Without missing a beat, you pushed yourself off the wall, winding your arms around his neck and latching your legs to his waist. He lifted you as if you were made of air, kissing you so that you could taste yourself. Before you could even perceive how much time had passed, you were on his bed, blouse disheveled and trousers undone. Even your hair hadn’t left the updo you put it in every weekday. Your eyes flickered to the right and you giggled to yourself. He had finally shut the door.
His eyes remained on you as he shrugged off his jacket, and then his pants. He was back in the same outfit you saw him in earlier, when your panties had been wrapped around his cock like a birthday present. He hesitated before finally pulling off his shirt, and you saw the scars lining parts of his chest. Definitely not a security guard, you thought to yourself but decided not to ask about it now. You reached up as he stood between your legs, brushing your fingers over the scars, and then dragged them down his abdomen. His frame was thin, but he was more built than you believed, always hiding himself under those oversized button-ups.
He wrapped his hand around your wrist as you touched him so gracefully. “Do you want to …?” His voice was so soft, the question hanging off the edge of his tongue.
And then, you smiled up at him, looking like an angel. “Yes, Aki,” you whispered.
He felt like a kid in a candy store. The only thing – the one person – he’d been dreaming about and looked at him as if he weren’t a machine, or a gun with the trigger pulled, was lying before him and liked him. For months, they’d both said. His dominant hand was shaking as he started unbuttoning your blouse, and when you noticed (though you had observed this the day he moved in), you grabbed his hand and placed it on your cheek. With his left hand and your right, you worked together to undo the buttons until your chest was exposed for him.
Moonlight streamed through his bedroom, the only light source in a seemingly dark area.  City lights reflected on you as you pulled your hair free from the updo, those pretty strands fanning on his sheets. His sheets. Because you were in his bed. The blinking lights from corporate buildings outside your little apartment created a halo around your head and – fuck, you really were something religious. For so long, Aki thought only hell existed. I mean, all the Devils were here, contracted to them. But seeing you splayed out so heavenly for him on his bed, he knew then that Angels had to exist too.
He took his time taking your pants off, watching the way you bit your lip when the cold air of his room hit your soaked panties. Your eyes glanced up to his boxers, seeing the indent of his long, thick cock, and your mouth went dry. His fingers hooked on the waistband of your panties, slowly dragging down and throwing them off to the side, hoping you’d forget about them so he could pocket another pair. With you exposed and bare on his bed, he really took a moment to admire you: the way your cheeks flushed, how the halo around your head flickered, the way your arousal seeped out of your pretty pussy and your nipples peaked. He just had to touch you; it would kill him if he didn’t. Leaning down, he began peppering kisses on your neck, your collarbone, before finally latching his lips around one of those sensitive nipples. Your breath stuttered at the sensation, and he used his left hand to palm your other breast, twisting the nipple between two fingers. You writhed under him, and he couldn’t help but grind his clothed cock against you, groaning and swirling his tongue around your nipple in tandem. Locking your legs around his waist, you held him to you so he was forced to keep grinding against you. It felt too good, and he wasn’t even inside you yet.
He tugged on your nipple and released it, breathing heavily as his eyes met yours. “If you don’t let me go, I’m definitely going to cum before I’m even inside you.”
“Poor Aki,” you giggled, letting your legs fall back on the bed. “Would that really be so bad?”
His eyes were burning into yours, serious as a heart attack. “I’ve been fucking my hand to the thought of you for what feels like forever,” he whispered, pressing a light kiss to the valley between your breasts. “I don’t want to ruin this moment.”
Aki moved up so that his lips were hovering over yours again, and he could really see the sparkle of your irises in the moonlight. You reached in between your bodies and gingerly massaged his bulge, feeling how much he’d already soaked his boxers with precum. “You couldn’t ruin anything even if you tried,” you replied, your voice light and airy. “I’m on the pill. I’m ready when you are.”
“Shit,” he groaned at your mention of being on the pill, trembling as you massaged him. This had to be another one of his dreams. Just the thought of being inside you without the barrier of a condom … he was so close to completely exploding. He didn’t deserve this, didn’t deserve you, after all the hell he’d witnessed and brought forth into this world. But he couldn’t help himself. He needed to have you, roommates be damned.
He stood up, needing to get away from your gentle hand. You sat up a little to help him tug down his boxers, careful of that shaky hand of his, and his cock sprang free, dripping precum on the floor. Aki, ever the gentleman, laid you back down on his bed with ease, holding your stare as he spread your legs wide for him. He breathed, praying to whatever god placed you in front of him that he wouldn’t cum prematurely. He couldn't remember the last time he had sex, but he was so desperate for you that all he cared about was not tainting this moment, this dream.
Aki grasped his cock, giving it a few hard pumps and grunting, before positioning himself at your entrance. You both seemed to hold your breath as he finally slid in, just an inch at first, and the two of you seemed to release that shaky, nervous breath. “Oh, fuck,” he groaned, burying himself further in your tight warmth, bracing his elbows beside your head.
“Keep going,” you begged. “It’ll fit, Aki. Promise.”
You were going to kill him, he was sure of it. Aki had felt the way you squeezed his fingers, but it was nothing compared to pleasure of being inside you, feeling how tight you really were. So much better than his hand. Once he was fully seated inside you, he opened his eyes just to look into yours. Your lips pursed, legs wrapping around his waist once again, and you slowly nodded for him to continue. His cock twitched.
“You’re going to be the death of me,” he muttered, sliding out of you before slamming back in. You cried out, carding your fingers in his hair, and he molded his face in the crook of your neck to muffle his own whimpers. You just felt so, so good – so good that he could cry. To think that his bed had once been so cold, so lonely, but now you were occupying the space, trembling underneath him as his cock slipped in and out of you.
Your moans were like gospel. For so long, Aki had been used to loud noise: to Denji’s complaints, to Power’s shouting, to the Devils’ in his ear. But now, it was just you two on the altar of your apartment, silent except for your heavy breaths mingling and the sound of car horns outside. You were wet and slick like holy water, taking him so nicely despite his size, and god – it was like you were made for him and he was made for you.
You tugged on his hair, needing him so badly even though he was already yours to begin with. He really would have you any way you wanted. All you had to do was ask.
Aki was already so close to release, but he needed you to cum with him. As he fucked into you harder, deeper, his cock curving against that spot that made your eyes roll back, he reached in between you two and found that swollen bundle of nerves in the apex of your thighs. “Aki,” you whined, tears pricking at your eyes as he rubbed your clit. He could die happily now that he heard your voice like that in his ear, knowing it was him that made it happen.
“Yes?” He said, breathless, placing sloppy kisses on your jaw. You clung to him, melting into him like ice cream on a hot summer’s day. “I’m so close. Are you close, angel?”
You whimpered at the nickname. “Almost.”
“Almost?” He fingers went a little faster. “Let’s get you there.”
As his two fingers rubbed tight, small circles on your clit, he angled his cock inside of you so that he could brush your G-spot with every thrust. You were now clutching onto him with all the strength you had left, entwining your body with his and feeling his muscles flex against your stomach. He was so deep now and you were so close and oh my god, Aki Hayakawa had you like putty in his hands.
And it was like he knew it without you even saying it. Because as your walls started to clench around him, he whispered into your ear. “Cum for me, angel. Please, please, need to cum with you.”
Your body convulsed, going tight around his cock as you came. Tears streamed down your cheeks and you called out his name, spurring him to fuck into you faster, reaching his own peak in the middle of yours. He groaned deep into your neck, hips stuttering as he spilled himself inside of you. You kept your legs around his waist, not wanting to miss a drop, and arched yourself against him, coming down from the high of your intense orgasm. Aki was still rubbing your clit slowly, whispering praises into your skin like, “Did so good me … So pretty … Could listen to you cum for hours.”
You two laid like that for a while, feeling his cock soften inside you, panting heavily against each other. Once he finally pulled out of you, your combined releases dripping down your thighs, you laid beside each other on his bed and stared at the ceiling. The silence was comforting, until he whispered, “Please, tell me that wasn’t all a dream.”
Turning your head, you smiled at him. “Do you feel this?” You pinched his arm.
Aki flinched. “Ow.”
“Definitely not a dream,” you chuckled.

Woe out the Storm - Shelter from the Storm
Tumblr media
Wednesday Addams x female Reader
Summary: It took some time, but eventually you came to realize only Wednesday Addams could look at the raging storm of chaos and destruction and make a home out of it. Only she could listen to the cacophony of the roaring thunder and hear a melody.
Story warnings: Wednesday Addams, violence, slow burn
Story Masterlist / Next part
Word count: 3.3k
-I came in from the wilderness, a creature void of form-
Lightning is the force of destruction, capable only of offense, never of defense.
You trembled, curled up in the corner of the room. You didn't dare to open your eyes, worried about what you'd see if you did. As the storm continued raging you felt more and more agitated, covering your ears to muffle the thunder and the sound of rain hitting the rooftop and windows. Feeling the stone walls you were pressed against heating up you stumbled to your feet and went to the other corner, still refusing to open your eyes. Your foot hit the desk and you winced when you heard sizzling and smelt the faint scent of smoke. That forced you to open your eyes and, much to your frustration, find out that you did, indeed see even in the near darkness the room was engulfed in. If nothing else at least the deck didn't catch on fire, but the smoke was just another reminder of why you weren't in your bed and why you were put in the highest room at Nevermore.
You were a lightning beast, a raiju, and you were at your strongest during thunderstorms. You were, also, at your most destructive, unable to completely control your lightning during those very storms.
It took immense effort not to blast the entire room with your lightning, to stop the pain you were feeling as the electricity accumulated within your body, begging to be released. You couldn't allow that, though, because you were finally getting a roommate two years after you first came to Nevermore. If you couldn't properly handle bigger and longer thunderstorms there was no way Weems would allow that.
So, you groaned, your cry sounding a lot like the subdued, quiet thunder, and slowly but surely you weathered the storm.
~X~
By the time morning came you were barely able to keep your eyes open. The last lightning strike was half an hour ago and you could finally gradually discharge the electricity within you without causing any damage to your surroundings or attracting lightning from the clouds.
With a yawn you slumped into the bed, you felt the static on the soft blanket beneath you, but you honestly couldn't care less. You needed to rest, you needed to recover at least some energy, to let your aching body heal. Your roommate was supposed to arrive in a couple of hours, and you promised yourself you'd only take a brief nap.
You should have known better.
The doors opening and energetic footsteps echoing through the room made you jump out of bed, and, due to momentary disorientation look around. You saw Weems already looking at you with a mix of sympathy and disbelief in her eyes. How did she even manage to combine those two? Still, as you looked at the energetic blonde turning around and taking the fairly bare room in, you found yourself thanking whoever designed this room for a couple of seconds you had to compose yourself.
"Uh, hello," that was definitely not smooth, your voice cracked a bit, and you'd be genuinely worried about someone's perception skills if they missed the uncertainty in your voice.
"Hi!" the girl's demeanor was the exact opposite as she immediately not only approached you but skipped to where you were. Skipped! "Howdy, roomie! I'm Enid!" right away she completely disregarded safety protocols and hugged you.
You didn’t expect the hug, or any contact, that was the protocol every student knew, do not touch a raiju after a storm. So, you didn’t have the time to react, your eyes just widened as you stilled in her hold and looked at equally surprised Weems. So, she did mention you were a raiju, and the girl still went for a hug. You cleared your throat and lightly patted the girl on her back. "Y/N, uh Y/N L/N, nice to meet you," you said and visibly relaxed when you were released from the hug.
It wasn't that you minded hugs, or were against touch, but a rather heavy storm just passed, and you didn't want to risk accidentally electrocuting someone. Okay, maybe you weren’t exactly eager to be hugged by strangers, but it really was the danger of electrocuting someone by accident that made you worried.
"Enid, what are you doing? Don't touch a raiju!" an older woman Enid somewhat resembled rushed over and pulled her back. You could see the excitement and energy just evaporating from the girl as she gave into her, you assumed, mother's demand.
"I can assure you, Miss L/N is no danger to anyone, Miss Sinclair was perfectly safe," Weems assured, but, judging by the way the older woman glanced behind you, you figured she didn't quite buy it.
In the two years at Nevermore, you only had one incident, about half a year ago, when there was a storm even worse than the one last night. A storm during which you couldn't go half a minute without another lightning striking. So, just for a few seconds, you lost control and even after fixing the wall one could still notice the large claw-like dents in it.
Still, Weems wasn't about to say Nevermore had a raiju that could be a danger to other students. The school was the safe haven for all the outcasts, and it couldn't maintain that reputation if the dangerous beast couldn't be controlled. Which was another reason why you didn’t have a roommate up until now. Weems only now considered trusting you, and even now it was just barely.
The older woman raised her head in contempt. "That better be true, Principal Weems," she huffed and marched outside.
Enid looked to the side. "Sorry about that, mom can be a bit, old-fashioned," she apologized and then looked at you with a small smile on her face. "I don't think you're dangerous."
You couldn't help it, you had to laugh at that. "Sorry, sorry," you raised your hands when you noticed the baffled look on her face. Your laughter turned into chuckles and eventually subsided completely. "Thanks, but raiju are dangerous, so maybe don't go hugging every single one you come across?"
Her eyes widened slightly as the two of you went to the balcony. There wasn't much that could top getting fresh air after being stuck inside due to a storm. Inside was nice and cozy, but there was just something about not having a choice but to stay inside. "I wasn't supposed to hug you?" she asked, almost as if she never heard that before.
You raised an eyebrow. Surely someone warned her. "Unless you know you are both safe, no, you shouldn't. Didn't someone warn you? I mean, you were told I'm a raiju," you hopped backward so you could sit down on the stone fence so you could still look at Enid.
"Uh, yeah, they told me you are a raiju, but no one warned me about not hugging you," she said, though she didn't back away from you, she just leaned against the fence next to you.
In hindsight Weems probably expected the old woman to tell Enid about what she shouldn't do since she was so adamant about you being dangerous. "Right, quick list of rules. Don't touch me during storms, or a few hours after the storm, or if you or I come into contact with any liquid that conducts electricity. It's better to be safe than zapped, so if at any point you think I might accidentally zap you, follow your instincts, don't touch me. The same goes for any electronics you have, don't bring them to my side of the room under those conditions. If I can zap you, I can definitely shortcircuit your things. I think that about covers it."
"So, you can't touch water?" Enid asked once she took the information in. "At all?"
"Unless it's distilled, nope, it really hurts to suppress the electricity and keep it from damaging something or hurting someone. I can't drink regular water either," you shrugged, used to the negative sides of being a raiju.
"What if it rains when you're outside?" her question brought forth all the memories of being caught in the rain and you flinched a bit.
"Well, it sucks to be me, that's for sure," and with your luck, well, it happened kinda often. "On the brighter side, when I'm completely in control you won't need to charge anything," you grinned when Enid perked up and offered you her phone.
She was lightly bouncing on her feet as you took her phone. "Show me!" okay, she was back to being excited.
You pressed a finger to where the battery was and you both watched as the screen lit up and showed the phone was charging. Within a minute you charged it from thirty to fifty-seven percent. "And I'm fast and safe as well," you grinned triumphantly. If only you knew what it would escalate to once more people found out you were basically a portable charger...
"OMG! That's amazing! I'd trade with you if I could!" Enid exclaimed and you tilted your head, blinking a few times.
"Trust me, not worth it," did she miss all the downsides you mentioned? Most groups could function in a normie society and would just have to avoid specific dates or circumstances. Say, full moon for werewolves. Raiju were different. Thunderstorm? Trouble. Rain showers? Trouble. Water in general? Trouble. Too much electricity in the air? Trouble. A damn water balloon could set off a reaction if a raiju was inexperienced. Luckily you moved past that level of inexperience. Still, that inability to function in normie society was what caused you to start attending Nevermore ever since you were twelve.
"Right, sorry," Enid laughed uncomfortably at your questioning look and turned back to look inside the room. "I know I just got here, but what are we going to do about our room?"
That was a question you didn't quite consider when you first arrived. The highest dorm room of Ophelia Hall was divided into two sections, bathroom and wardrobes not included. Looking at it now, you figured it looked a bit like the letter P. The main part was the same as the other rooms, open space meant for two people to share the room. A bed, a desk, a wardrobe, and a pair of nightstands on each side of the room, aside from that it was up to the student to decorate or leave their side of the room as it was. Your part of the room was on the right side, divided by a large sliding door that was usually left open, but could serve as an additional barrier during storms. You never really had to close it before.
Your part of the room showed signs of being lived in, and not just with the damage to the wall. You had a slightly bigger ice maker in the corner, just in case you ever ran out of distilled water Nevermore provided you with. Your collection of knives was on display, also for practical purposes, and then there was your pride and joy, a small fulgurite you created with your lightning. Sure, it was on accident, but you made it and you kept it. Finally, you had a shelf with books and movies you liked near your bed. All in all, between those additions and some posters hanging on the wall you figured you felt cozy enough while still staying safe during a storm.
Oh, and the bathroom was connected to your part of the room, so, whoever designed that took one person being a raiju into consideration. Likely that same person failed to realize taking a shower near a raiju, during a storm, wasn't the safest option.
"Honestly? I'm fine with whatever, as long as it isn't a safety hazard," you shrugged, finally answering Enid's question.
~X~ Two years later ~X~
Go to your shed, you thought. Do some 'one-raiju-club' activities, you thought. Well, getting caught outside in the rain was exactly what you deserved after you so stupidly decided to believe the weather in this damn town wouldn't get worse!
Luckily the red sparks coming from your soaked body made the students stay away from you as you sprinted through the pentagon. It was a damn pentagon, and you were not going to call it a quad!
The sound of thunder boomed in your ears as you finally reached Ophelia Hall. At least the heat coming from your body would make sure you were mostly dry by the time you reach your and Enid's room. You'd be tired, but you'd be dry.
"How's it going Sparky?" Yoko laughed as she saw you climbing up the stairs. Even with the teasing she still made sure she was way out of your path.
Your eye twitched at that. "Just great, thanks for-" lightning struck near the building and you dropped to your knees, barely containing the lightning within you. You were better at this now. Unless it was a really long and bad storm you could handle it, you could even handle electronics if lightning wasn't too close. But you were wet now, and all that control seemed to be going out the window. Yoko smartly stayed away. She felt sorry for you, but she wasn't getting anywhere close when you could light up with enough electricity to power the entire Ophelia Hall or fry every device in it, at any moment. "-asking," you groaned, the sarcastic reply you intended fizzled out as you regained control once again.
Finally, finally, you reached your room and stumbled inside.
Enid got up from her chair right away and tossed you a towel. She didn't approach you, even if she definitely was worried. "How bad was it?" she asked as you went to your side of the room and sat on the floor.
You were mostly dry by now, but it wouldn't hurt to use the towel just to be safe. Also, for a reason you couldn't explain keeping a soft towel over your face as you weathered the storm became a bit comforting to you. Maybe it helped you ignore the world around you a bit. "Could have been worse. I was two-thirds of the way back when it started raining," it wasn't raining hard right from the start, so you figured you had at least a bit of luck. "Don't worry, I'm just a bit tired," you assured her and glanced at your wardrobe. You should change, but you wanted to cool down a bit more before you did anything.
The sound of footsteps told you Enid was coming closer. You didn't worry. She knew not to get within fifteen feet of you. You still peeked at her. "I know," she said as she leaned against the wall. "It still hurts to see you like that," she said gently.
If anyone in this school actually cared about how you were handling being a raiju it was Enid. You took the towel off your face and offered her a wide grin. "Hey, I got this. It's not even the worst storm we went through in the past two years."
Enid nodded at that and grinned back. "That was actually terrifying. You think you can handle taking our new roommate on a tour?"
Your eyes widened, it completely slipped your mind! "Shit, you're on your own this time," even if you weren't outside when it started raining there was no way everything would be safe and dry by the time Wednesday Addams arrived.
Enid nodded. "Leave it to me, roomie! What do you think she'll be like?"
You thought it over, you heard the rumors, but the most telling sign was the furniture that arrived. Dark and vintage-looking. "I think you should get ready for a drastic change in scenery, at least on her side of the room," you really didn't think the decorations Enid placed were going to stick around in Wednesday's side of the room.
~X~
Barely fifteen minutes later Weems led three people into the room. The first thing you thought when you saw them was 'That's a lot of black,' the next thing you thought was specifically about Wednesday. 'She's kinda tiny,' and from the looks of it her boots gave her almost an inch, and she was still shorter than Enid.
"It's so... vivid," the man looked around, almost as if he was horrified by all the colors in the room.
Enid got up with much more energy than you did and, much like she did when she met you, skipped over to Wednesday and her parents. "Howdy, roomie!" she greeted the girl enthusiastically.
"Hey," you just raised your hand as you went to stand next to Enid. The girl remained silent and still. She wasn't even blinking! You had to double-check to see if she was even breathing.
"Wednesday, these are Enid Sinclair and Y/N L/N," Weems introduced the two of you.
"Are you okay? You look a little pale," Enid asked, worried for the girl.
"Wednesday always looks half dead," Wednesday's father explained.
You grinned and pointed a thumb at Enid. "Enid always looks too alive, so it evens out then," well, there was a sentence that could be taken out of context.
"I can see that," Wednesday spoke for the first time while Enid processed what you just said.
"Y/N!" Enid pouted at you, though you could tell she didn’t actually mind what you said. She was a ball of energy and sunshine and she was proud of that.
"Sorry, sorry, you just get excited easily," you raised your arms up, surrendering.
"Whatever," she shrugged, she had more important duties than dealing with your occasional antics. "Welcome to Ophelia Hall!" she went in to hug Wednesday, only for the girl to outright reject her by taking a quick step back. "Not a hugger. Got it," Enid backed away, respecting the boundaries Wednesday was setting.
"Please excuse Wednesday. She's allergic to color," Wednesday's mother spoke.
"Oh, wow, what happens to you?" Enid asked, unable to imagine what she would do if she had to deal with that.
"I break out into hives and then the flesh peels off my bones," dark humor and dry, even tone. Noted.
"Y/N is basically allergic to water," Enid pretty much returned the favor.
You thought it over for a moment. "Pretty much, yeah. I burn from the inside and light up like a Christmas tree, literally."
Weems faked a cough, not exactly appreciating your sense of humor. "Luckily, we've special ordered you a uniform. Enid, please take Wednesday to the registrar's office to pick it up along with the copy of her schedule and give her a tour along the way," Weems instructed and you honestly appreciated that she took notice of the rain that just recently stopped falling.
~X~
"I find social media to be a soul-sucking void of meaningless affirmation? That's what she said?" you repeated, watching from your bed as Enid paced around in your part of the room.
"That's right! Can you believe that?" she definitely sounded like Wednesday frustrated her, at least a bit. "She's like a pit of disdain, a black hole sucking anything positive out of whatever is near her! I don't know if we can do this, Y/N," forget the ‘a bit’ part, Wednesday absolutely frustrated her.
But you just began laughing. "Okay, I get it she didn't make the best first impression, but I think I'm going to like her! Soul-sucking void of meaningless affirmation? Damn, that's a good one!"
"Y/N!" Enid cried out.
"You survived rooming with me, a raiju, you can survive a goth girl with a questionable background," you just grinned. How bad could it possibly get? Surely one girl couldn't flip your lives upside-down.
Right?
A/N: And that, people, is chapter one. Light spoiler, if you are here purely for romance, I have to disappoint you, there will be hints, but as far as actual romance goes, that's for later seasons.

Wednesday Addams was an enigma.
From the second Enid had introduced you to the newest Nevermore resident, your interest in the raven-haired girl had been piqued.
Lifeless stare, ghostly-pale skin that was ice cold to the touch, and the cadence of her brief yet eloquent words were like a breath of fresh air. You were instantly enamored by her, eager to know more.
However, that proved to be difficult as time passed. Wednesday was a person of few words and if she so happened to speak, all that would fall from her lips were insults or the occasional death threat.
Conversations were merely one-sided whenever you worked up the courage to speak to her, which eventually faltered as she blankly stared at you through her long lashes.
And it wasn’t like you could stalk her social media for some insight.
Unsurprisingly, she found social media to be, and you quote, “a soul-sucking void of meaningless affirmation.” You had to admit, she had a point.
All you could do was observe the things Wednesday would say or do. Considering you shared classes and had Enid as a common denominator, it wasn’t like all hope in getting to know the girl was lost.
You did notice the Addams girl somewhat warm up to everyone else, just not with you. As odd as it may sound, you wanted to be seen by the raven-haired girl.
It was as if the need to be accepted by her was consuming you.
At one point, you questioned whether or not there was any true depth to her. Was she genuinely cold-hearted or was there some semblance of humanity beneath her rough exterior? Why was she especially rash with you?
Wednesday Addams always had her guard up, so what was she trying to hide?
───────── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ──────────
You’d never forget your first decent interaction with Wednesday.
You were standing beside your locker, leaning against the wall as Enid went on a tangent about her feelings for Ajax.
As the wolf spoke animatedly, hands flailing about, your eyes couldn’t help themselves from diverting their attention to the living shadow that stalked your way.
Wednesday looked gorgeous as always, there was no doubt about that. There was something about the way she carried herself with such grace that stood out in a sea of people.
Not a single wrinkle of her clothes nor a strand of hair out of place, perfect posture, and burgundy lipstick that complimented her complexion beautifully.
Enid noticed your staring and turned around, her excitement going into overdrive which admittedly, you didn’t think was possible.
You loved the girl, but you sometimes wonder how she isn’t exhausted from all the energy she uses.
“Hi, roomie! How has your day been so far?” Enid’s enthusiasm was written all over her face, contrasting Wednesday’s lack thereof.
“It’s been dreadful,” Wednesday spoke monotonously as she glanced at you over her roommates’ shoulder.
“Dreadful in a good way or dreadful in a bad way?” The blonde inquired and Wednesday’s eyes snapped back to her in an instant.
“Dreadful in an ‘exsanguination is becoming increasingly appealing’ way. How you interpret that is inconsequential to me.”
Wednesday deadpanned, forcing Enid to awkwardly chuckle. You decided to try and save your friend from embarrassment.
“So, you’re having a decent day it seems.” You spoke up, the two girls focusing on you. The raven-haired girl stared at you with a glimmer of curiosity behind her dark eyes.
“And what gave you that impression?” You cleared your throat, playing with the collar of your uniform nervously as Wednesday raised an eyebrow.
“Exsanguination is surface-level or internal blood loss. It kills quickly and efficiently with little to no warning. It seems like something you would enjoy…”
You trailed off, avoiding eye contact with the cloud of darkness that stood before you as realization dawned on you. You sounded fucking insane.
However, you didn’t have time to contemplate getting psychiatric help before Wednesday’s soft yet firm voice met your ears.
“You’re the only person I’ve met in this hormone-infested hell to understand my implications.”
You half-heartedly smile in an attempt to remain calm and collected. There was no time to respond as the bell rang, signaling the students of Nevermore to head to their next class.
“Time to go, see you later Y/N. Don’t forget, we’re hanging out in my room later.” Enid half-yelled out as she walked past you.
Wednesday simply gave you a nod before following behind the hyper werewolf. As soon as the pair were out of sight, you couldn’t help the smile that spread across your face.
In a way as unorthodox as herself, Wednesday Addams had complimented you.
───────── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ──────────
You’d never forget when you caught her staring at you.
You were sitting at your self-designated seat in botanical science class, doodling random pictures into your notebook when you felt a presence beside you.
Confused, you look up to see Wednesday settling her backpack onto the floor, and that feeling increases tenfold. Normally, Wednesday is partnered up with Enid.
So…why was she here with you?
“Uh, hey. Why are you sitting here? Not that I mind, you just usually sit with Enid.” Your voice came out shaky and you mentally berated yourself for it.
“Enid wants Ajax to sit with her since their date went swimmingly. I had to hear about it all night, much to my misery.”
The raven-haired girl grumbled as she took out her notebook from her backpack, placing it on the table in front of her.
“Okay… cool, cool. It’s just that Yoko sits the-” You started to speak but instantly stopped as the girl you mentioned walked up to Wednesday’s side.
“That’s my seat, Addams.” The attitude was evident in your friend’s voice and expression, as you awkwardly sat and watched.
Wednesday turned her head, glaring at Yoko. You were glad to not be on the receiving end of her stare. She was honestly terrifying for such a tiny person.
“Not anymore.”
There was no room for argument as the storm cloud beside you faced forward once more. You shot Yoko an apologetic stare as she huffed and went off to find another chair. Soon after, Thornhill’s replacement came in and class began.
No words were spoken between you and Wednesday for the majority of the session. To be fair, it’s hard to get a word in when you’re copying down notes and trying to comprehend what the hell is going on.
You furrowed your eyebrows and bit down on your lip as you listened to the teacher, but the feeling of someone’s eyes on you pulled you from your trance. The second you turned your head, your eyes met Wednesday’s intense gaze.
“Is there something on my face?”
“Besides stupidity? No.”
You would say you were surprised by her response, but you weren’t. Part of you wanted to confront Wednesday, question her more.
However, you decided your ego couldn’t take another hit for the time being and left it to rest.
Perhaps she was internally judging every fiber of your existence. From what you knew about her, you figured that had to be the case. Nevertheless, her unwavering gaze persisted throughout the remainder of the period.
As the class came to a close, you turned to speak to the girl beside you, just to be met with an empty seat.
The only sign of Wednesday’s presence was the fleeting glimpse of her silhouette disappearing through the door. Disappointment washed over you, but you pushed it aside as you collected your belongings.
Flinging your backpack over your shoulder, you stood up and made your way over to Enid and Yoko. You gave them a puzzled look when you realized they had been sitting together during class, their items still scattered about the table.
“Hey Enid, I thought you were sitting with Ajax,” You greeted the blonde, curiosity laced in your voice. She flashed her signature wide smile at you, tilting her head to the side in a questioning manner.
“Nope, he was paired up with Xavier. They like drawing bugs together to bring to life, it’s really gross. Why would you think he was with me?”
Enid sidetracked before asking, staring at you in anticipation as she awaited your response.
“Oh, no reason. Just thought you guys would be together since you’re dating and all that jazz.” You chuckled, rubbing the back of your neck awkwardly before Enid forcefully linked her arm with yours.
She abruptly pulled you along as Yoko followed close behind, heading toward the exit practically jumping in excitement as she went on about the new desserts that were in the cafeteria.
Her words were mere whispers compared to the thoughts that clouded your mind.
Ajax and Enid hadn’t been together today like Wednesday said they would. So, why would she go through the trouble of sitting next to you, knowing that the spot was occupied by someone else? Why hadn’t she sat with Enid instead?
So many questions flew around your mind, but one aspect of the ordeal stood out to you. Out of all the places she could’ve been, she chose to be beside you. Wednesday had lied to be near you.
───────── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ──────────
You’d never when Wednesday stood up for you.
You were walking around Jericho Town Square, casually looking at the displays in the windows of the different shops when you caught sight of a group of five normie boys pointing and laughing at you from a distance.
You thought nothing of it until they started to make their way over to you.
You turned around, speed-walking in the opposite direction of the teens. You could hear their footsteps behind you, and as their pace picked up, so did yours. However, you couldn’t outrun them.
You felt a pull on the back of your shirt and before you knew it, you were being dragged into an alleyway and shoved up against a wall by your collar. You let out a grunt from the impact, your head hitting the cement with such force it made you lightheaded.
“Listen carefully, the mayor may let you weirdos roam around, but no one wants you here.”
The dude dressed in a letterman jacket gripped your collar tighter as his entourage laughed, pushing your body higher up on the wall, practically choking you as the material blocked your airways.
You were trembling, half because of fear and the other half from lack of oxygen. You were never one for violence and tried to avoid it at all costs.
“You’re worthless! Jericho would be a better place without mistakes like you here.” One of the four boys that were watching yelled. You couldn’t make out who was saying what as your vision began to blur, consciousness slowly leaving you.
The next thing you knew, your body was falling to the ground. You hit the floor hard, the impact causing you to wince before you felt kicks from every direction. All you could do was lay there and beg them to stop as the pain radiated throughout your body.
The insults and slurs they spat out had become muffled as you curled up into a ball, hands over the sides of your head in an attempt to protect it. It felt like the kicks would never end, until they did.
“Hey!” You heard a familiar voice shout out. The blows had come to an abrupt halt. You looked up to find the source of the sound and your eyes widened when they landed on Wednesday.
“Check it out boys, another freak for us to beat the shit out of. This should be fun.”
The boy who had previously pinned you to the wall had laughed out, the rest chuckling with him. However, they went silent and took a step back as the raven-haired girl pulled out a knife from her boot, inching towards them.
“Leave now or I’ll gut and fillet each and every one of you. And trust me, it wouldn’t be my first rodeo.”
Wednesday practically growled her words at them, fuming in anger. Her glare was as cold as you’d ever seen. Her knuckles turned white as she gripped the knife with all of her strength. At that moment, you were convinced she was going to commit murder.
Her threat was enough to send the group running, as expected. Wednesday’s eyes remained on the teens until they were out of sight. She placed the knife in the place she found it before rushing over and dropping to her knees in front of your writhing body.
You were shaking like a leaf, still scared they might return with a vengeance as you voiced your concerns to the girl above you.
“W-Wednesday, what if they come back to hurt me again?” You croaked out, letting out a groan when she lightly touched your side.
“If they do, I’ll make sure their bodies are never found.”
She stared down at you, analyzing your visible injuries before coming to the conclusion that you wouldn’t be able to get up and walk. “I’m going to have to carry you. There’s no way you’ll get to Nevermore on your own, let alone out of this alley.”
You simply nodded as she placed her arms under your body. The moment she lifted you up, an agonizing cry left you. It felt as if your body was on fire. You knew she was being as gentle as she could, that was evident when she began walking. She moved at a slow pace to avoid as much movement and friction as possible.
A few minutes later, you started to feel sleepy, but you were pretty sure your body was just shutting down from the trauma it endured. You managed to murmur a “thank you for saving me,” before closing your eyes and drifting into sleep, not expecting a response.
The colorless girl waited until your breathing had evened out, a sigh leaving her lips as she stared down at you in her arms, still being cautious of each step she took.
“I wish I had sooner.”
───────── · 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ──────────
You’d never forget your first kiss with Wednesday.
In the following months after the incident, she’d been less callous towards you. You figured she was pitying you, but this was Wednesday Addams we were talking about. She isn’t capable of pity. So, you had no idea why she was allowing you to get closer to her.
Nevertheless, you enjoyed being able to hang out with the girl without low-key fearing for your life. And with the close proximity, you had developed feelings for her.
It was hard not to fall for Wednesday. She’s incredibly smart, a master at playing the cello, an amazing writer, and beautiful. The only problem was her lack of interest in you.
Sure, you enjoyed learning about her, but she never attempted to learn anything about you.
Reciprocated feelings or not, she was still your friend and it kind of hurt that she showed no regard for who you were as a person. It was almost as if she accepted your company for the sake of having someone there.
So, one day you finally decided to tell her how you felt, for better or for worse.
You’d been in Wednesday and Enid’s room. Enid was at the movie theater with Ajax, leaving you and her roommate alone. The room was silent, the only sound to be heard was the clicks of Wednesday’s typewriter.
You were sitting on her bed, mindlessly scrolling through your phone. However, you couldn’t get the girl who was just a few feet away out of your mind. A sigh escaped your lips, grabbing Wednesday’s attention.
“Someone looks miserable.” Her voice, despite the insult, was music to your ears. You knew that was her way of asking what was bothering you. You decided to grow a pair and finally talk to her, seeing as this was the perfect opportunity to do so.
“I know it’s your writing hour, but can we talk? It’s important.” You shyly asked as you stood up and made your way toward her, internally rolling your eyes at yourself. You were trying to sound confident and ultimately failed.
“It better be,” Wednesday mumbled, removing the paper from her typewriter and neatly placing it on the side of her desk. She spun her chair to the side, looking up at you expectantly. You gulped, looking down at the floor as you tried to formulate the words you wanted to say before committing to them.
“So, um, we’ve been friends for a while now, and don’t get me wrong, I’m happy about it. It’s just sometimes it feels like the interest is one-sided. Maybe it just hurts because I have romantic feelings for you, but I want you to see me for who I am. I don’t even know if I’m making any sense. I’ll shut up now.”
You couldn’t even look the girl in the eyes as you attempted to keep your voice stable. Your heart was racing as you waited for her to say something, anything.
A minute had passed before Wednesday stood from her chair. You thought she was about to force you out of the room and tell you to never come near her again, but that didn’t happen. She spoke instead.
“You play with the collar of your uniform when you’re nervous, bite your lip when you’re concentrating, you tremble when you’re scared, and you look down at the floor to avoid eye contact when you’re under stress.”
You looked up at her in shock, instantly making eye contact with the girl. Truthfully, you didn’t even know you did those things yourself. They were simply subconscious ticks that you had. You were about to speak up, but Wednesday had beat you to it.
“You somehow enjoy chick-flicks, your favorite color is a nauseating tone of pink, you’re afraid of the dark so you sleep with a nightlight, you order a caramel frappuccino with extra whipped cream at the Weathervane, and you’re allergic to tomatoes.”
As the raven-haired girl listed off more facts about you, you were rendered speechless. You weren’t even sure how she knew about your nightlight or your tomato allergy, but this wasn’t the time to question her.
All you could do was stare at her like a deer caught in headlights. You were in such disbelief that you didn’t even realize that Wednesday had gotten closer.
You were finally brought back down to earth when you felt her cold hand cup your cheek. You stared deeply into her dark eyes, before taking a leap of faith and connecting your lips with hers.
There was some hesitancy at first, but the feeling of her lips on yours was euphoric.
You were instantly addicted and believed Wednesday felt the same way, if her hands that tangled themselves in your hair were any indication.
When air became an issue, you pulled away, allowing the two of you to catch your breath, your forehead connecting with hers.
Your eyes were closed as you smiled, taking in the moment you had been waiting for, but your eyes fluttered open, locking onto Wednesday’s as she filled the comfortable silence.

the drive to the lake house was as calming as ever. although it was a couple hours, it was a trip you knew all too well. one you were dying to take every june the minute the last bell rang for summer break.
sometimes it was just you, your parents and your brother. most times, it was you and the o’reilly family. a lot of kids shared between two vans, snacking on chips and freezies from the coolers at the back of the cars.
the tradition never stopped when the lot grew older. you escaped to the house every time your winter term ended, then after your internship finished, and then when you could use up all your saved vacation time from your new job. ryan always followed when his nhl duties came to an end. both respective families coming in to stay in between.
that being said, this was the first time you drove to the lake house with ryan in the driver's seat and with you in the passenger's seat. it was the first summer since he came back home to toronto. but more so, to you. officially.
he was sick of waiting until your usual shared break, and you were very much sick of coming home to a cold bed.
before any headline could find you, ryan called you that night. and it was as if the 100 ton weight was being lifted off of your desperate shoulders. because it was. after ten years of long and needy facetimes, one-night lustful visits, and the best stanley cup celebration you two could possibly have imagined, you were going to have him, at your full disposal, “whenever you fucking want” as ryan had told you.
ryan put the car in park and you couldn’t help but smile about the fact that this would be the first time you’d be stepping into that house, as a proud pair. the “finally” ’s already shed by your parents who were following in behind the two of you.
the first night was spent with take out, laughs, pjs and movies and it always makes you grateful for growing up with a group with such a tight knit bond. your heart was full when you heard inside jokes from circa. 2006 running through the house — which are still ever so applicable, presently.
the next day, you didn’t wake until you heard the cars drive off in the late afternoon. it had been a while since you had the time to sleep in, so it seemed your body pranced at the chance. after heading to the bathroom, you couldn’t find ryan in the rooms or common areas. he always made sure you get as much sleep as you need, not only because he knows how grumpy you get if you don’t, but also because he always wants the best for you.
as you made your way to the kitchen, you looked out the windows casing the large lake. you saw the large figure of the man sitting at the edge of the dock and didn’t do anything else but make the walk over to him.
you sat beside him as he turned to face you with a toothless smile. you smiled at it, you always told him he looked cute like that, and he started listening to you. “sleep good, sweetheart?” he asks as he looks down to cut the leaf caps off the pack of strawberries between his legs. “wonderful” you emphasised before you reached for the strawberry he handed you. “i’m glad. you deserve it.”
you took a bite out of the soft strawberry, the juices from the flesh spilling into your mouth. you couldn’t help but let out a little innocent moan. the first time you tried these, they were immediately the best strawberries you have ever had in your entire life. and they just so happen to be locally farmed near the lakehouse.
ryan giggled, “had to stop by the market and buy you a few packs during my run. wouldn’t be a lake house summer without these guys right here.”
“this is why i love you. thank you.”
he only responded by handing you the bigger piece between the two in his hand. you put your head on his shoulder as you two looked out in front of you. the sun was bright but not exhausting, as the wind from the water dismissed the heat.
“the folks went to gather some things for this week's meal plan.”
you hummed a response. but it got you thinking. and so you didn't waste time.
you turned yourself around in order to lay your upper body on ryan’s lap. he placed the knife and strawberries safely aside as he smiled. you gave him a small smile before shutting your eyes for a bit.
you reached for ryan’s hands from his sides. you played with his big and thick fingers for a bit, before taking his hand and placing it on top of your shirt. then you moved his hand under the hem. as you began to move it further up, the material of your shirt wrinkled with your movements and began to expose your skin.
ryan kept his hand in your grip and his eyes firm on you. you kept moving it up, reaching the curves of your boobs. “take it off” you mumbled as he obliged. taking off the tshirt and throwing it on top of the other items he had set aside.
you didn't reach for his hands again. he knows what to do. he always knows, ever since your first kiss.
the sun shined on your supple flesh. his calloused hands moved back to your curves. pushing down your pants a tad, in order to squeeze your love handles. later, his fingers lightly trace up the soft line marks found upon your hips, and the ones on the sides of your breasts.
your cheeks begin to mimic the berry blush as you open your eyes to look at ryan. you loved how comfortable you are to be vulnerable around him. you always felt adored, and safe.
he pulled you up swiftly, allowing your legs to straddle him. your arms naturally wrap around his broad shoulders. you look into his gentle eyes, “i love you, snook.” you lean in for a tender kiss but his hands push your body tight into his. “i love you more, sweetness.” his lips finally meet yours and he envelopes you perfectly. “always have. always will.” he whispers.
his lips meet your cheek as he leaves wet kisses on your jaw and neck. you let soft moans escape your parted lips, your body melting into his figure. ryan often joked that his body was made for you specifically, with the way you fit against him so perfectly.
“gorgeous.” he whispers into your ear as his beard scrapes against you. you bite your lip at his words. one he's been telling you since you grew butterflies in your stomach every time you saw him. “want you snook” you plead, your pussy twitching as his hands squeeze your bust. you grind down on him, and he huffs outs. “just had you yesterday morning, honey.”
“dont play with me, ry. you know i always need you.”
he hums in response. “thats true. i can never say no to my girl.”
he lifts you once again, getting to lay you down on the thin throw ryan had brought out with him. your eyes close again as the sun hits your face, but you feel kisses pressed all over your skin. ryan’s lips trace from your lips to your cheeks down along your jaw, and onto your neck once more. he sheds a few soft nips while he makes sure your panties and shorts are discarded.
its not long before he nips on your nipples, noises escaping your exposed body. your fingers pull down his own shorts and you feel his cock against your skin.
two digits slip smoothly into your damp cunt as ryan cups your face. you bite up a cry. but before you know it, he’s lined up at your entrance and you're pleading for him to move.
you let out a lewd moan as he pushes in. ryan followed with a low groan and you clenched around him immediately, “that’s my sweet girl. so divine.” he says as he gives kisses on the edges of your collarbone.
his thrusts are a blend of slow, long and quick, hard movements. his hands held your hips as he didn't let his lips leave your body. his hair tickles your chin as he gives your breasts some love once again. you felt yourself reaching the goal closer and closer. the all too familiar feeling of your wet walls stretching around ryan’s thick length driving him crazy.
your effect on him was always so strong. right from when you both were young. the minute you got hurt, it broke ryan to see you cry. it was his dire mission to help clean you up or provide you with the necessary pick me up. oftentimes that was bringing you your favourite snack or sometimes a kiss on your cheek was all you needed. when you laughed, ryan laughed. and even when it seemed like ryan and your brother were picking on you, he always made sure to give you a hug later on. he would never hurt you. and he'd never let anyone hurt you. that was for sure.
you were pleased that there were laughs, screams and talk from the surrounding residents that can help drown out your shared sounds. at the same time you couldn't possibly care if they heard either. your mind was far too fuzzy.
“make me cum snook. make me cum all over your cock” you were desperate and needy, i think that was already established. ry smiled at your words, pulling your body up into him once again.
your arms were so tight around him, you stuck to his body like gum on a shoe. he pumped into you as you also began riding his length. the way your body swayed with your hips helped bring ryan even closer to his climax.
your head fell back as you felt the wave of pleasure overcome you. ryan continued your movements for you until your whines dyed down. once you both finished you kept yourself on his lap “don't move, ry. still need you there.” you mumbled.
“till they come back?”
“please.”
a smile appeared on both of your faces. droplets of sweat trickled down his chest and you crushed them with your finger as your head laid on his shoulder. his hands rubbed the sides of your body as his face was cuddled on top of your head. his nose tucked into your thick hair. your smell, your weight, your breathing and your warmth calmed him. his mind never wandered off. he was the most present, the most grounded with you, like this.
“why is it that every time we have sex you’re so quiet?” you asked ryan as you looked up at him. it was a thought you had often so you figured you’d ask. “sometimes you used to make me feel as if i did something wrong…” you said with a little titter.
he scoffed, “no honey, you could never.” you smiled. “you just take the breath out of my lungs”
you both start laughing. “you’re a pro hockey player and i’m the one who can kill you? i’ll take it.”
ryan lets out a chuckle again. “all i know is words cannot express how i feel when i’m with you, but i want to experience it till my dying days.”
your heart warmed. you grab his face and eagerly kiss him. “and so you will.”

bitter melon (guy/honey, redacted audios)
Honey got stood up on a date and Guy tried to save their night.
(pre-relationship, hurt/comfort, jealousy (hohohoho), slight misunderstanding, conflict between characters, making up, fluff) 4.6k+ words [ao3 link] [masterlist]
[cw/notes: insecurities, self-depreciating thoughts and a lil breakdown im sorry honey has some issues over here (projecting moment?), NOT PROOFREAD as always LMAOO
ALSO sadly guy isnt as silly (maybe really ooc) as he is most of the fic because he has Internal Conflict + i tried to make honey’s outfit and appearance as ambiguous as possible but i’m not sure how well i did with that ;---; so just keep that in mind! Idk how to feel about this fic ! i love it and i hate it LMAO]
"Oooh, what's got you all dressed up, roomie?"
It was the weekend—Kayla had just been picked up by her boyfriend, which had Guy realizing he and his favorite roommate had the place all to themselves for a few hours. As far as he recalled, he was off from work, and they hadn’t mentioned any errands to him for today. Perfect!
Guy had a bounce in his step as he arrived by the entrance to the room at the leftmost side of their shared apartment. He rapidly knocked at the door with a giddy “Hello?”, eagerly waiting for the response that he knew would always come.
Hm, which game should they play this time? Smash was always an option but he wouldn’t mind trying something new with them. They could even watch some random YouTube documentary again like they did last time. Or maybe he can finally muster up the courage to ask them if they want to hang out somewhere outside the apartment that isn’t for laundry or groceries.
He smiled to himself. Yeah, I’d like that. They can go to that new arcade that opened up nearby!
Before Guy can daydream more of sharing smiles in photo booths and frustratingly rigged crane games, the door opens to reveal the subject of his reverie, clad in clothing and accessories flashier than what they would typically wear. He got a whiff of a pleasant fragrance too and he realized that they must have put on a perfume of some kind.
Woah.
They looked…amazing. They've always looked amazing. He had thought that about his grumpy companion even before the pair got close. But, seeing them in anything other than their usual casualwear or pajamas was definitely a surprise.
The teasing amount of skin they had exposed didn’t go unnoticed by him, as well.
His roommate, by all means, was no prude. They even had their fair share of comebacks more vulgar than his flirts when they banter (Those particular interactions definitely do not keep him up at night, blushing and wide-eyed while he stares at the ceiling. Nope. Never.) This side of them, however, was something he’d never seen before until now. This side of how they present themselves with such boldness was new and he didn’t mind it at all.
The outfit looked good on them. Too good. A seductive dark top that very much complemented the tone of their skin, unbuttoned dangerously low enough to reveal the expanse of their collarbone that was adorned by a simple necklace.
Their shoes gave them more height too, slightly towering over Guy more than they already did before and forcing him to tilt his head up a little for their eyes to meet. The dizzying scent of their cologne paired with those pants that hugged their figure just right had his mind reeling. It was mortifying—how they had him in such a daze so easily.
Fuck.
Guy gulped nervously.
“You going out tonight with friends o–or something?” he frantically adds, suddenly aware of how much he was probably staring amidst his very appropriate train of thought about the person before him. Admittedly, the man was a little bummed that his plans to take them out first (Platonically, of course. How else would it be?) were off the table, though his interest had been piqued by what they were up to being dressed like that.
"Oh, uhm, no. I mean, yeah? Kinda? I'm…" They looked hesitant and a little…embarrassed? Well if it's something they don't want to share then he didn’t mind. Despite how much of a menace he is (with his roommate never failing to lovingly remind him of this), Guy wouldn’t want to force anything out of them, especially if it got them so uncharacteristically timid. He tends to forget such social cues, but he actively tries to improve and avoid being so pushy.
As he was about to reassure them that it was okay to not respond, they replied with a bashfulness that was unlikely of them, “I’m…going on a date.”
A date? With someone else? Romantically? He felt his grip on the door frame tighten, and a sharp pang shot through his heart, silencing his buzzing mind for a split second before managing to fake a curious smile.
“Oh? Who are they? Do I know them?” He liked to think he inquired them out of politeness, like a nosey friend pestering someone about their crush, but the thought of his roommate being alone with someone for the night leaves a bitter taste in his mouth. He had the need to asses this person, and determine if they really were worthy of their time—of them—for reasons he isn’t really sure of, it just felt like instinct.
Guy internally cringed. What the fuck does that mean? Why the hell is he thinking like this? Protective! He’s being protective, of course. Any friend would want to protect their friend with things like these! A love life is a huge factor in someone’s happiness after all, right? So he, as a friend, can definitely be wary if someone could be a potential risk of heartbreak for their friend.
Okay, if he thinks of the word ‘friend’ one more time he might actually lose it.
He needed a cold shower. Yeah! He just needs a nice cold shower to shock his brain and stop the weirdest fucking thoughts from ever forming, especially thoughts concerning his roommate that’s currently driving him crazy in every way possible.
“Ah, no, I don’t think so. He’s from my class.” They shrugged, looking to the side awkwardly. “I dont know, he just asked me out yesterday and I figured, ‘Why not?’”
Guy hands began to twitch involuntarily as his roommate smiled at themself, oblivious to the spiral that he was having. "My friends kept on saying I should try letting loose and going out more so I guess it’s about time.”
“Oh, uh, hope you enjoy, then.” God, he feels light-headed.
“Well, isn’t this a first. What, no witty remark? No innuendo about me finally ‘getting some’?” Guy fought the urge to grimace. Somehow those jokes would do nothing but sour his mood even more instead.
“Hey,” The man started, struggling to keep his voice steady. “Can’t I wish a friend good luck on their date?” Friend. The word felt worse and worse the more it festered in his mind. Yeah, that’s what they were. What they’ll ever be. Nothing more.
“Pfft, whatever, man.” The smirk grew wider on their lips. They seem really excited and he shamefully thinks it might make him vomit at how eager they are for this date. He should support them, right? Guy can see how his roommate tends to keep to themself most of the time, especially when Kayla’s with them. So seeing them go out of their comfort zone should have been a relief. He should be happy for them.
Whenever Guy was with them, being happy was easy. So why was he having such a hard time now?
Their grin dropped when they glanced at their watch with widened eyes. “Oh shit, I think I need to go.”
They opened their bedroom door and lifted up their arms from the side in a way to reveal more of what they were wearing. “How do I look?”
Yup, feeling dizzy again. Remember to breathe, Guy.
“Uh, yeah, y–you look great! Really.” Guy put on a strained smile. “Have fun, just don’t miss me too much, though. Might be unbecoming for your date.” He prays to god they don’t notice how his voice wavered at the end.
They rolled their eyes with a familiar chuckle that usually follows whenever he makes a joke, “Pfft, whatever.”
Waving him goodbye as they rush to the exit. “Don’t wait for me when you’re gonna eat dinner, by the way. I might be home late!” One last look on their watch had them walking faster. “Okaygottacatchthebusnowbye–!”
He heard the gentle click of the door shutting and the apartment felt lonelier than what he’s used to.
—
Tap, tap, tap.
“In old legends, tales long forgotten, the sea is often said to be unkind.
The sea’s temper is short, and his rage is felt through the angry swells of the water that eat sailors alive. His strength is tremendous, taking down the tallest of mountains and sinking whole countries with his surging claws. But most of all, his cruel waves do not discriminate, drowning both the wicked and the innocent altogether. He cares not for the last breath he takes from their lungs to fill with salt and water and death.
Despite his hostility, the sea yearns for the moon.
Whenever the moon came down to greet him like an old, treasured friend, the waters still. All is tranquil when the sky and the sea meet. The sea breeze is calm as the children play by the shore. The people were grateful, for the sea had fallen for the beauty in the sky.
But all good things never last.
The sea became selfish. He loathes the time when the moon eventually ascends to the abode of angels, their home. He loathes the loneliness that becomes of him when he can no longer feel the warmth of their glow. His loathing turns into wallowing in sorrow until he decides that he has had enough.
His calm waves suddenly grow with the intent to seize, to take, to keep the jewel of the night for himself. His desire for them to stay overflowed into his foolish actions that had done nothing but have the moon be victim to the harshness he had reserved for men.
The moon wept, and the sea received their tears. He had hurt them. He had hurt them in his act of love. They returned to the skies, burdened to carry the melancholy of a broken heart and the sea remains, afraid to cause more harm.
The moon never came down again.
His attempts to reconnect bear no fruit. A different kind of madness consumed him, wrapping around his very soul like how guilt wraps around the sinners. It’s God’s punishment, he deems, for his covetous ways. To chase for the sky but never touch the clouds, to stretch up to the heavens but never high enough.
He had realized that they could not be attained.
They will not come back for him.
Yet he continues to reach high above, hoping for the blessing of a god birthed by pity. To push his tides to the limit for a chance to be in the moon’s presence once more until the end of time.
It is all but a myth, ancient words that the people of the present cannot truly decipher, but all its messages share the same sentiment;
The sea is…”
“Hm.”
Tap, tap, tap.
“The sea is mysterious?”
“No, no, no…”
Tap, tap, tap.
“The sea is prideful?”
“Ugh, that doesn’t sound right either.”
Tap, tap, tap.
“The sea is spiteful?
Vitriolic?
Rancorous?”
The living room which was once filled with the constant stream of clicking laptop keys came to an abrupt halt. I give up. This whole ‘running away from your issues’ thing really isn’t working.
That same irritating pain still persisted. It was becoming less of an annoyance and more of a discomfort, aching to the point that Guy started to rub his chest a few times in an attempt to soothe it. What is up with me today? Even after the cold shower that he was sure would solve his current predicament, the feeling of unease still lingered.
He figured he might as well do the writing exercises that his professor had assigned a few days ago to distract himself yet it was of no help at all. In fact, it was just fueling the fire of these messy emotions that he had been feeling. His tired eyes closed, fingers circling his throbbing temples, as he racked his mind for something that would best fit the final line. I swear to god it’s at the tip of my tongue!
His mind snapped out of focus after hearing the noise of the door suddenly opening. He managed to haphazardly type a word to try out before it could escape his mind so that he could finally finish this troubling assignment that had opened more problems he had meant to solve.
The sound of heavy footsteps reached his ears and they burned, knowing full well who had just barged in. Speak of the devil. His roommate finally returned along with the sinking feeling in his ribs. They had gotten back from their date. Guy made sure to put on his most convincing smile.
“Hey, roomie! Back already? How was it?”
“Uh, yeah, hi.” They didn’t bother to look at him, ignoring his eager questions while they hastily set down the small bag they brought. Guy sees them navigate through the kitchen to fill up a glass of water and hungrily gulp it down. “I-is Kayla here?”
He frowned, shifting his body to face where they were in the kitchen. “Uh, no. She texted me that she was staying over with her boyfriend. Why?”
“Thank god.”
“Yeah, I know right? So, uh, how’s the date?”
No response came again, His roommate was seemingly distracted by whatever they were scrolling through on their phone but it was clear that they were purposely ignoring him.
“He-ey! I asked how the date was. Did something happen?” They were as timid as they were before. And like before, the unease in his gut grew.
“U-uhm, it was fine.” The man heard them murmur. Why were they so secretive? They seemed frazzled and they were doing that thing where they touched their cheeks to cover their face whenever they got warm because they were…flustered. Are they–? On that date, did they–? Did something happen like that between them and their date?
Unnoticed by his roommate, Guy’s eyes widened. The pain in his chest returned tenfold. This should’ve been a good thing. That means they had a great time. Why is he mad? Why does he get that sinking feeling? Why does he feel so spiteful about it?
“What, no juicy details? Oh, I get it. You’re keeping secrets from me! Not a kiss-and-tell typa person now, are we?”
Maybe it was stupid of him to prod, especially about the one thing that set this rollercoaster of confusing emotions in the first place. But he needs to know. What did they do? How was it? Did they like it— being with him instead of Guy?
They continued to ignore his lighthearted interrogations and Guy knew that he should’ve just dropped it at this point but something in him snapped all of a sudden. He isn’t sure if the agitation that built up had got to him but he couldn’t stop himself from blurting out his next words—harsher than intended.
“Hey, I'm not the selfish one over here who left me all alone inside at a weekend while they got to actually enjoy the night in some fancy restaurant or something. C’mon, spill!”
The lightness in his tone never left. In fact, to anyone else, it would’ve sounded like his usual playful nagging Both of them, however, noticed the shift in the direction of their conversation. (Since when was he one to provoke someone?) He’ll blame it on being in the heat of the moment for now. They understand he was just curious like that, right? All he was sure of was that he needed to know what happened. Why is he mad? Stop being mad. They didn’t do anything wrong.
He noticed their flinch far too late.
“I got stood up, Guy. Was that what you wanted to hear? Because, god forbid, I get to actually go out and do shit for myself!” The acidity of the way they said his name sent chills up to his spine. Their voice was eerily still, its coldness made Guy’s blood freeze. “Because I’m such a selfish asshole to enjoy things for once, right?”
“Oh.”
Oh fuck. He fucked up.
“Yeah, oh,” A dry chuckle left their quivering lips. “Can’t believe I fucking thought he would actually show up. Thought somebody wasn’t fucking around with me for once and I–” They abruptly stood up. The harsh scrape of the chair puts the whole room into an uncomfortable silence.
They weren’t flustered from the date, they were embarrassed. Humiliated. They had probably been waiting for that douchebag to show up only to receive false hope and pitying glances. And he just had to add insult to injury by being when he clearly should’ve just listened, should’ve stopped, should’ve comforted them. He can finally see the tears that began to stream down their face.
“It’s whatever. I’ll be in my room.”
“Fuck, I–I’m sorry. I didn’t know that he–”
But they had already slammed their bedroom door with a force that shook the place. Guy stayed sitting on the couch, all alone once more. Great, you just had to be a dick because of your stupid fucking…feelings about the thought of them spending their time with someone else!
He’s pathetic.
Here he was brooding over his roommate going out on a date only for whoever that moron was to throw away the fucking chance to spend time with them. But maybe he’s the bigger moron in this case. The guilt seeped into his bones and he felt them ache. What is going on with him? He was supposed to be there for them. To be a decent friend. But now, he just ruined their already shitty night more.
Truly pathetic.
His eyes darted to the last line he had typed on his laptop and he held his breath.
"The sea is a jealous being."
The lump in his throat became harder to swallow. He needs to make it up to them.
This is stupid. This is fucking stupid.
They should have never gone with it. They should have never accepted that asshole’s offer in the first place.
The faint sounds of an old TV series played from their phone, which had long been abandoned within patterned sheets, accompanied the figure that was currently trembling under the blankets. Stuttering, hiccuped gasps filled the room with a suffocating gloom. They think their hoarse throat couldn’t handle another broken sob to let out, having already cried every single last drop of their wallow out hours ago, their hot cheeks sticky from its tears.
It wasn’t like this was the first time something involving relationships didn’t work out with them. They were used to it. They should be used to it—being left out, avoided, and unwanted. (It’s just a stupid date, it wasn’t even meant to be serious. Why are you making it a big deal? Why are you so affected?)
Why are they so affected by this? What made them think they were all-so-suddenly desirable to someone? Why did they even think they had a shot at all this lovey-dovey shit in the first place?
Stupid, stupid, stupid. They’re shit with expressing their emotions and even shittier with dealing with them. Their outburst a while ago was a testament to that, shouting at Guy when he didn’t know any better. Maybe everything tonight was doomed from the start, then. They should’ve expected the hurt. Heartbreak was far from being a stranger to them at this point.
A tired groan came out of them again.
Tired. They’re so tired.
Hungry rumbles erupted from their stomach. Damn it. Thanks to their ‘date’, they weren’t able to eat. Fuck it. Waiting out until Guy’s in bed and sneaking out of their room to eat would probably be the best option. For now, they stay bundled in their bed—thoughts spiraling, head pounding, eyes swollen, and a heavy heart waiting for its pieces to be picked up again.
Then they’ll sleep it off like always. And then they’ll confront him about it, play it off like it’s another bad day so he’ll stop worrying because they know he will. Everything’s back to normal— they’ll apologize for the overreaction, he’ll joke about it and everybody goes on with their lives again.
Yeah. That could work.
Knock, knock!
“Hello?”
What the–? Ugh. For the love of–
“Hello? Roomie? You there?”
When they wanted to confront the roommate that they snapped at, they didn’t mean right now!
“What do you want, Guy?”
“Can you come out, please? It’s…important.”
They finally stood up from their blanket cocoon, hastily wiping the tears from their eyes to try and ‘shoo’ their roommate away. The door swung open, ready to put on their whole grumpy facade again. “Guy, I’m not really in the mood for–”
“Good evening, prestige customer! Your dinner awaits.”
What.
“Wha-- How did– When did you–?” Not giving any mind to Guy’s abominable impersonation of a British accent nor the messy scrawls of black ink on paper that vaguely resembles a mustache taped to his mouth, their eyes wander around the living room, confused and curious.
The atmosphere was completely different from the bleak apartment they had been enduring for months. Multicolored lights that they usually use for the holidays hung around the area, providing the dim room with enough light to give a dreamy ambiance. The small foldable table set they had for eating was moved to the middle, covered in what they remembered to be Guy’s freshly cleaned checkered blanket that they had just picked up from the laundry when they were doing errands.
On the table were some scented candles in mismatched glass containers, and two servings of a dish they couldn’t recognize. They even noticed faint jazzy music playing in the background to imitate the mood of a pretentiously lavish restaurant.
Overall, the decor clashed together horribly, yet despite that, they’d never seen the apartment so charming. The improvised set-up looks endearingly…cozy.
“Come, let me guide you to your table,” Guy, err, the waiter, dressed in a white longsleeved button-up and apron, led them to the center, pulling out a chair and tucking the napkin he had around the collar of their shirt. The man directed their attention to the ceramics containing what seemed to be their dinner this evening.
“Our main course that the chef has prepared for tonight is a creative twist of a classic European dish composed of a rich tomato-based sauce paired with a unique and innovative pasta shell shape, garnished with traditional Italian herbs and spices.” “Guy, that’s a bowl of SpagetthiOs with some dried basil sprinkled on top,”
“Shush! Don’t ruin the immersion. And I am not Guy! I’m a waiter! Ahem!” The totally legitimate server who is not their roommate coughed very un-fakely, before composing himself in a more very real professional stance (then again, that might actually be real, seeing that he also serves the tables at Max’s when he’s not out delivering).
“I believe your date has returned. A very dashing fellow if I do say so myself, consider yourself lucky!” Guy suddenly ducked down out of view (though they could very much see him all the same) removing the mustache and button-up to reveal a shirt with a tacky tuxedo print on it.
He stood up, fixed a few strands of his hair that stuck up from his sudden movement, and looked at the person in front of him with a beaming expression.
“Hey, honey! Just got back from the restroom. Wow! The food looks amazing!”
All ‘Honey’ could do was stare dumbfoundedly before covering their smiling mouth with a trembling hand. A small chuckle became a bemused giggle until eventually they were full-on belly-laughing.
“H-Honey? Really? Where did you even get that from? And what the hell are you w-wearing?” Their voice shook, unable to contain any semblance of composure. This whole situation felt like it was pulled straight from a rom-com.
Guy laughed with them as he sat down to his side of the table. “Oh, so you like it? The nickname…came to me naturally. Feel like it suits you a lot, seeing how sweet you are to me, right?”
Honey, huh? They wouldn’t mind him calling them that.
“Also, I don’t know what you’re talking about! I think I look the most classy I’ll ever be!”
“Well, I’m underdressed then.” Their laughter had died down, slowly processing everything going on, well, it made them want to cry. All of this, for them? It’s too much trouble to go through.
“Nah, you’re fine! And besides, you look pretty all the time—which by the way, is absolutely not fair! I’m supposed to be the hot roommate here!” He declared with a mock offended tone as he sassily put his hands on his hips. Honey hoped he wouldn’t notice how their cheeks burned at how casually he called them ‘pretty’, like it was second nature.
“Then again, I wouldn’t mind if you underdress some more, ehh–”
It was his comfortingly familiar lewd quips, something they didn’t realize they missed hearing, yet why did their eyes water instead? The sobs that they weren’t aware they had been keeping in broke their dam again. Their cheeks must’ve grown tired from their crying all night, but this time, these weren’t tears for some dickhead that ditched them.
The abrupt stop of laughter and panicked sputtering from Guy after hearing their croaky sniveling would have had Honey laughing if they weren’t already struggling to breathe from their convulsive crying. “Oh, fuck! Uh, okay, sorry! I’m sorry! Bad timing! I shouldn’t have joked–”
“No, no, Guy, I’m sorry I–” They let out a shaky breath. “Wh–why did you go through all the trouble for me? I-I snapped at you and I don’t–,” hands wildly gestured around their surroundings. “–deserve all of this! I don’t– I’m so sorry I–”
“Hey, no, don’t apologize. You deserve this, okay? If someone like Kayla gets to share a night with her boyfriend then you, out of all people, deserve to spend your weekend having a great time and I won’t let some jerk ruin that for you,” He looked at Honey in the eyes with a sincerity that involuntarily made them shiver.
It’s not often that Guy was this serious with them. It was only reserved for moments when it was late at night and their teasing and gossip turned into deeper talks about anything and everything. They forgot how intense the look in his pretty eyes could get, how it felt like he saw through them, through their very being.
“I’m…one of those jerks, too. I really shouldn’t have said those words to you. You’re not selfish or an asshole. Your date was the asshole for not showing up and that’s a reflection on him rather than yourself. I just sprouted out those stupid things because I was just…bitter that you had your own plans when I really didn’t have the right to be.” Among other things. He decided not to bring up the other messy emotional stuff in his head. It’s not what they need to hear right now. “I’m really sorry for pushing you. I…really hope that you can forgive me but I would understand if you won’t.”
“I forgive you, Guy. Thank you for… for all of this. It really means a lot.”
They shared a tender smile as they continued their chatting with their dinner. By the time they cleaned the dishes and put everything back in its original place, the pair plopped down on the soft cushions of their sofa. Guy shifted himself into a better position to face Honey.
“I’m surprisingly still not sleepy. What else do you wanna do for tonight?”
“Hm…Smash?”
“Honey! How scandalous! Take me out to dinner first! Oh, well technically, I already did, so I guess your wish is my command after all—Ow!”

*******
You wouldn't be in this situation if you paid attention.
You swear it.
You knew you should have been paying attention to Darcy as she pointed out things from the slideshow of venomous and otherwise deadly plants and wildlife on Pandora to avidly avoid, but you swore you knew it all already. Or at least you think you did from your other life.
You remember certain blurry flashes of colours and ramblings of a safety meeting, the dim room packed with row after row of benches full of whispers and muddled mumbles of ‘dangerous’, ‘claws’ ‘toxins’ ‘ leaching from skin’. Just a monotonous repeat of: ‘deadly’, ‘deadly’, ‘deadly.
All you could truly remember was watching Quaritch’s arms flex as he addressed you all, the way his face tensed as he spoke, just an octave under a yell, always. The strain in his neck. You were in the front row, leaning in, all for the guise of catching every word he spoke and you had at the time, but still, he was the major thing on your mind even then.
And now he was still a distraction, with his thick thigh pressed against yours, his heat leeching off of him and gripping at you, travelling up your side, up your neck, tingles spreading through your extremities. If you moved away an inch you would be on Lyle’s lap. That was not an option despite the constant light flirtatious jokes shared between you.
And no matter how sick it was, you enjoyed this stolen touch. It still felt forbidden. Probably because it still was.
He was still your colonel, you were still his subordinate.
How unlucky to be given the chance to live two separate lives where you were infatuated with him, and in both, you could not have him.
He didn't seem to mind this touch now so why would you? Honestly due to this you truly had no chance of paying attention to this safety presentation before the mission. It would have usually had your rapt attention, but something about this morning had you anxious and the touch of Quaritch had your stomach all fluttery and your mind wandering as the scientist spoke.
She was a mean woman, about your age, or at least the age you were as a human, your na’vi body was only 20. She had fierce red-brown hair that hung in long, frizzy waves. A headband pushed the bangs back from her face harshly as she rolled up her sleeves and continued talking. On her pale face, she wore teal eyeliner, and you suspected it was a strange way to place herself firmly in the recom team spirit, but what got you was her personality. She was fiery, she bit back at everyone, insults that went a toe too far, were her supposed comfort, terrorizing her fellow scientists through nitpicks and badgering in sickly sweet mocking tones in the morning and dragging them to the lab past reasonable hours.
Overall just metaphorically making them bend to kiss her feet.
Quaritch liked her. Not enough to like her as a person, but enough to appreciate the snark, the tone. Enough to ask general Admore to put her on their team for good the first week when she yelled at one of her many scientist underlings who got in Quaritch’s pathway.
Sometimes you wondered if he fucked her.
But when you did, you got sick at the thought and quickly extinguished it.
You focus back, feel the rumbling of the bench underneath you. Lyle was laughing beside you so loud it reverberated through the metal. Your eyes snapped up to see a deep red, long-leaved plant displayed on the screen and all of the recoms laughing. Darcy looked a bit too pleased with her ability to make Lyle wheeze.
“Overall it's not exactly supplying the good type of plant pollen if you know what I mean.” A wink. You did not indeed know what she meant and you heard Quaritch huff a laugh behind you.
“ Unless you like being on a rock for hours, I guess. There is a reason the na’vi call it the tsewtx toruk ”
Mansk spoke behind you. “The fuck does that mean?”
You laughed, which made Darcy glare at you. “It means dirty dragon. Its namesake is for its potency, strength and umm… tenacity or stamina it gives the user. As well as the physical symptoms of intense fever and hot flashes. But again like everything else, it is deadly. You would fuck till you drop essentially. Stay away.” A click and she was onto something new and you tuned her out again. Willing yourself to soon be able to make it out of the room, to be without her nasally voice if even for only an hour’s reprieve.
You were still focused on other things, panic flaring as you remembered you got up late this morning. Now mentally calculating how fast you would have to be after the meeting to make it back to your bunk and clean up your station before bed check later when you got back. But you focused pivoted again.
Not very far, just to your right.
Your colonel was so very close to your side. You were trying not to stare, truly, but you knew you weren't doing a good job. Your side eyes were never particularly subtle, Mansk and Lyle told you this for years and yet you continued. You couldn't control it. And it didn't help that you were much more noticeable in your na’vi body.
******
You were used to being firmly human and tiny for your age.
You were a stealth operative under Miles Quaritch for the RDA at twenty years old nearly 14 years ago. A lifetime ago. Able to even sneak past every na’vi and even Eywa herself they swore, but you never thought that was quite true. They nicknamed you Ghost anyways.
You pretended to hate it.
But when you had snuck into their village one day when they were gone to the river for a ceremony, taking pictures of the internal structures undetected, the team had celebrated you. Seriously celebrated, and even made a makeshift cupcake to commemorate the breakthrough. But it was not something done lightly and the cupcake was neither edible nor good, but you had eaten it. Had smiled, and allowed yourself to be jostled by firm slaps and pats on the back of Wainfleet and the rest as the guilt gnawed at you slowly.
But Quaritch noticed, he always did.
He found you out on the bridge that night, leaning against the rail as you gazed at the depths of emerald tones that made up the forest.
“You did well today. I know it’s difficult, soldier, but you did well.”
You looked up, startled to see him at your side. So much taller than you, even as a human. White hair cropped short and clothes pressed even at the late hour. Not a single wrinkle.
The deep scars on the side of his head caught in the blue-white light of Hell’s Gate’s fluorescents as he talked. They almost shined as if they were a platinum badge. His blue eyes lit up an icy hue. You felt your palms sweat as you readjusted your grip, feeling yourself shake just slightly. The once-chilled air of the brig was warm as you felt him step beside you.
Always on your right side, after having noticed you tense the first day, when he saddled up to your left. You had bad hearing on the left side and hated the anxiety of someone being on that side. He switched wordlessly when he saw you tense. His jaw set, eyes facing forward. He did it wordlessly and never left that right side view since then, even when agitated at you.
Especially then.
If he didn't like you, which you were sure he didn't, he at least respected you.
That was rare for him and it was enough.
It was enough.
But now as you try to shove images of burning forests and screaming na’vi from your mind you could barely see him. You were so tangled, knotted and sick at the way you would be and always were in a way a part of it. All of the atrocities, the death. Once you had been passive but now you had chosen to be firmly active.
He followed your gaze to your hands, you could feel it before you matched his stare to your white knuckle grip on the metal rail. You unclenched, shaking out your burning hands. A deep sigh rumbled from his chest, the sound seemingly following the curve of your spine as he leaned back. Dog tags clinked as he leaned farther forward over the rail to properly see you, to meet your eye. You indulged him only just to see his gaze be soft if only for a fleeting second as you gave in. You were always nervous about its absence, but it was always there. For you, at least.
You tried to smile, but it was barely a twitch of your lips, your knees aching as you tensed next to him. You had been standing here for hours after the so-called ‘party’ had died down.
Music booming in your ears, rattling your hunched frame in the corner as a small smile twitched at your lips to assuage that you were okay as the world fell apart around you. Breathing in the stale air of the gym in the brig, smelling dust, metal and sweat and of course the sweet vodka peach drink Zdinarsk spilled on your elbow as you moved past her. You took in everything as you sunk into the concrete behind you, revelling in the cold bite of the chilled material. Just watched as Zdog and Prager shouted lyrics to a Jay Z song, fingers pointing up to god knows what, rotating between gesturing the song out and rounding Lyle and Mank's shoulders as they laughed, half belligerent, drinks sloshing onto the concrete ground from battered red plastic cups. Since slipping out the back and avoiding the colonel's eyes hours later, you were just here.
Unmoving as the base winded down further and people prattled around its large expanse. All flitting about with briefcases and files as they rushed past you to their makeshift homes. Tired eyes focusing on the idea of their beds as the day was wasted and the next promised to start just as early. They filled the once cold lifeless gray space with life for a time until the night truly dwindled. The eclipse lit everything a bright purple. Awash in colours of magenta, and violet you just breathed, hands shaking as you inhaled. Your gaze never leaves the wonders beyond the glass surrounding you.
Now you were here and he had finally found you.
“You know why you're so good at your job, Ghost?”
A sigh slipped past your lips. Your shoulders caved in as your eyes slid shut once more at his deep raspy voice. At the use of your moniker, a remembrance of reality. He was your colonel. You were but a soldier. You were no hero, certainly not now.
No woman he had met by chance. Not a friend of his, of anyone, no longer a sister, no longer even your first name.
Just Ghost.
“No. Why, Colonel?”
And he hated how weak your voice was as he brushed calloused fingertips against your hands. So slight you were sure it was an accident. Your gaze shot to his, heart jumping painfully, back straightening as you stiffened. His eyes kept yours as he pried your hands from the rail none so gently, turning the right palm up and sliding something small and cool into your hand before closing your fingers around it, softer than the initial yank from the rail. But only by a fraction. All he could afford you.
Shivers raced up your spine, your chest aching at the touch, lurching with it.
“Wh-”
“It’s because you care. The animals out there don't notice you because they know you care. Like they know you wouldn't hurt them, even when vulnerable and squattin’ in the mud. You just have to remember to care for your kind more, alright?”
Your lip wobbled, voice much too weak to speak as you merely nodded, gaze trailing down again. Heart racing and fear clawing at you as you just stood there, weak and mortified, scared that he knew it all. Had the power to have you called a potential traitor for your empathy.
You wondered if when he said animals he meant the na’vi or the wildlife. You swallowed hard, eyes burning, squeezing shut as if you could wring the horrible thought from your mind, keep your heart from sinking to the depths alongside your stomach. You did not want to ask, for you knew already.
Your eyes tracked your beaten-up converse on your aching feet as you shuffled from your left to right leg, ignoring the prickles that raced up your shins. Caught on the only remnant of your sister left. She died in failed cryo on the way here. The heart drawn in sharpie on your left toe from your last day together. After, you both collapsed in exhaustion from packing your small joint carry-on bag the night before shipping off. It was glaringly bright in the white-tinted light illuminating the large hall now.
Still muted, smudged, and fading, but it made you smile anyways.
They were the first thing you put on each time you got back to base. The first step after a shower.
All of this, you realized you did for her. All of those like her, those left on earth. Trapped there, on a dying planet with no solution, no real plan or power to change it.
You finally braved a look at your palm, seeing a carved metal charm sitting there amongst callouses. It was crudely carved from the material but still startlingly smooth. It was a small ghost resting in your palm. No longer than your finger pad. A small hole was punched near the head with a link there to attach to your dog tags.
You let out a laugh at the sight and Quaritch was sure he had never heard anything so sweet, so close to shattering.
Your hand, gentle but rough like his, brushed against his knuckles. But this was no accident. It could never be construed as such and that was the true danger. You focused on feeling the strength there in those three seconds before your hand fell back against the now icy rail, missing the fleeting warmth he always seemed to radiate.
You just have to remember to love your kind more, alright?
“I do.”
A nod followed your soft words and he saw then just how young you were. With your two braids falling over your shoulders as you rocked back on your heels, forearms poised on the rail as you held the charm gently, close to your hoodie-clad chest, like it might break, like someone might take it from you. He focused on the light highlighting your features, and he felt his breath still for a mere moment. All at that moment it clicked in his head as if it was invisible until now, at this moment.
You were barely past being a teen, having signed on for a suicide mission with a sister who was long dead now, with few other choices six years ago. You were an excellent sniper and a keen strategist. A good follower, who took great orders. Loyal as shit. Throwing yourself in front of many projectiles from day one for strangers, colleagues and your team alike. Hell, you were probably a better soldier than all of them combined.
But you were too young. Painfully young.
Much too sweet to have calluses so deep and eyes so pained and a voice so hollow. Too young to have lost so much.
His gaze fell to your shoes, then back up as you looked back out to the horizon. He just wished you didn't wither away, yet. You were all so close to an answer. He knew it. A solution. Pandora was it. He knew you just needed a reminder and he would give you one, just this once.
You were just a kid.
Yelling never worked with you and he could never bring himself to do it anyways. You were a motivator for everyone, always picking them up with words or hands if they fell, but you were also easily motivated yourself. Easily swayed by a belief that what you were doing was good, or right. So he would give that to you. Because he needed you, he needed this whole team.
And that's all he thought when he had found that metal shard in the yard a month ago, in the vast grasses that tickled his hands as it sat in the very middle of it all. The whole operation and base. And he took it back to his room to carve. Immediately seeing the small timid ghost in the shape. It was barely the size of the pad of his thumb when he was done, whittling it to near nothing, slivers embedded in his palm, his skin. It only took him a night. He worked in between sets of weights and paperwork he barely dared to usually do, fingers always itching to pick up the tools again. Its creation in itself was motivating.
He tried not to think of why he was doing it. Pondered why he couldn't put it down when he started.
Why did he wait so long to give it to you? Why did he dread how you would react? Why was he so sure of how you would?
Just as you were now.
Soft, kind and something else he wished he didn't see. He refused to see as he too looked at the expanse of stars above your eyes, past your stare. He wished he saw what you did there, what you talked of seeing, of feeling. You talked of a vast expanse, a deeply instilled hope, a timid purpose, a reminder that although time was not infinite, life beyond them was, the cycle of everything and anything was so endless and it didn't scare you. It brought you peace as you gazed at the bright twinkling gems cast in the inky dark.
But instead of an expanse, he saw a dome. A prison. And that charm you cradled is just the same. It was just manipulation, a trap to get you to stay.
That’s all it was.
That is all it ever could be.
******
Now you sat there trying desperately to ignore the near euphoric scent of him beside you, and how your ears were twitching towards him whenever he made a slight noise, even if it was just a deeper breath than those previous. You noted all of them and swore you could feel them in your veins.
He smelled like a bonfire, a forest after a harsh rain, coffee, something like his old cologne with tangy twists to it along with gunpowder,  metal. It was perhaps what his soul could be summed up as if he had one. But you were very much sure that he didn't.
But you still managed to focus upfront once more, on Darcy’s grand hand gestures with the clink of her bangles at her thin wrists as she pointed to the moving 3D images of frightening pandora fauna. Her green eyes were bright even in the dimmed light of the command room. The hologram was now focused on a palulukan.
A leathery wolf-like thing that caught your eye. Its teeth were so large and it was around ten feet long in size, taking up the whole room. You felt your tail thwap hard against the ground, curling around your left leg as you jiggled it harshly. Lip caught in between your teeth as you tensed, but no one paid you any mind. All you felt was your heart racing so fast you swore it might break your chest open, might splat on the ground still beating its erratic rhythm. Your fingers tighten on your empty holster as if to reach for a gun to protect yourself against the hologram threat.
“Y’know, they’re not all bad up close.” Quaritch laughed beside you, a low mocking thing that did horrible things to you.
That had your head snapping to his. Jesus, he was beautiful, that's all you could think, the anger giving way to awe as you watched his nose twitch, a look of confusion on his face, but it was gone as soon as you noticed. Like it was never there.
The stripes on his face matched his nature, sharp and melted into his bone structure. Highlighting the high cheekbones and strong jaw. His recom tags twinkled as they dangled with his strong lean forward, forearms resting on his knees. It gave you a horrible sense of deja vu you couldn't quite place. You always shoved memories of your past life away and you knew why you shoved that one out quickly. The tiny ghost charm still around your recovered dog tags felt like a collar then, even if it was tucked into your shirt, away from his view. You swore he knew. Knew he owned you.
“I’m not sure I believe you. I mean this is coming from the man who was once permanently scarred by one.” You said.
A huff.
“Plus I’m not concerned. Nothing on Pandora scares me like that.” You paused, frowning. “Not anymore.”
Not since dying. He knew what you meant.
His face was stern, but playful at the edges. It was evident in his eyes that he didn’t buy it. No muscle shifted in his face or his body, not a single hue of change seen, even of a minuscule sort, and yet you knew he was aware you were full of shit.
His eyes fell to your hands twisting in your t-shirt and you stilled them.
He laughed.
“That’s not what gave you away, Peach.”
And he leaned in, the smell of him was overwhelming, intoxicating, you felt like you were suffocating, fighting the urge to take a deep gasping breath in. He smelled so good, your ears perked up, flattening against your hair, then ruffling up again as his raspy voice whispered in your right ear as it twitched at his warm breath,
“I can hear your heartbeat.”
That only helped to increase its speed, you felt like you would faint, sure you would, but it was the least of your problems as you heard the recoms shuffle and make to move out. The dim lights now burning bright. All grabbing weapons off the table and suiting up. You hop up quickly, eager to get your hands on a gun, to then check and make sure that your bed was expertly made before inspection later, excited to get out and far away from Quaritch, from the itch he left under your skin. But the firm yank to your tank top collar had you gasping and collapsing back into his chest, your nose filled with his rich scent. You could feel his strong arms around you, one at his side, flush with your body, the other at the nape of your neck like you were a rogue kitten. You could feel his breath, your body moving, arching as his chest expanded with his inhales, could feel the cold metal of his belt buckle against your tailbone, digging into the soft skin there deliciously. Heart still racing.
“Where you goin’ Rookie? Chopper’ is that way.” His eyes met yours over his shoulder, your breath stalling as you felt his eyes wander like a physical touch branding you, brushing against the hemline of your top, your heaving chest. He grunted, making an exaggerated gesture to the right side, in the direction of the hangar.
“Right, I- I just forgot something.”
He snorted. “Well tough, we gotta head out. ” And that was that.
You heard Lyle laughing at your expense, pointing at your flicking tail which you grabbed from behind you in fury at the blasted thing. It was giving away way too much to devious people around you.
The Colonel just charged ahead of you all, shoulders squared and ears flicking in irritation. He looked so mad and you had no idea why. Well, hopefully, he’ll let you off easy later at the sight of your messy sheets.
Hopefully, that scary palulukan bastard won't kill you… Hopefully, it will all go fine.
********
And it was all going fine until you spotted a viper wolf from the corner of your eye. You were a mile into the journey since drop off, muscles tight and burning from hacking at plants and hiding from leering beasts. The animals still attacked people they recognized as na’vi, just not as much as an avatar driver or god forbid, a human would. None of you were as accurately attuned to silent threats as the people of Pandora were. The recom bodies were new and native in theory to this planet, but you did not grow up as they did, hell you all grew up in a tank technically.
It had been stalking you all for a long time you gathered, it had to have been, what with the way it effectively cornered you as you all were nearing a ditch drop-off along with the certain confidence to the wind up of his body. So when it finally dashed with a horrible high-pitched laughing sound everyone turned to it, but it was already in the air.
Your hand grabbed your knife from your sheath with ease, throwing yourself in front of Quaritch and swinging your arm up with a cry. The thing launched itself with so much force that it bent nearly into a c shape as your hand slammed into its abdomen, sickly thin ribs curving over your hand, teeth snapping at your face as you swung it around, twisting the knife deep, teeth gritted in a yell, neck leaned back to avoid its teeth. Blood soaked your hands as jaws snapped at you, continuing their attempt at your face. You didn’t realize you were near the edge until it was too late. A strong kick of hind legs to your ribs shoved you off the grassy hill. Your grip slipped from the knife, and the creature it was buried inside as you went down screaming, tumbling down a rock covered slope. Wind and grass whipped past you, rocks crushing bone as you rolled, limbs flailing as you fell from various heights in between harsh slopes of land. Arms tucked around your head near the end. Muffled gasps and breaths wrenched from your lungs, various hard things crushed in your chest, and mud slid into your eye, leaving you with no sight on your left side, and with no air.
You couldn't breathe. You couldn't see.
All throughout you heard constant shouts of your name, “Ghost!” and whether it was a minute or truly an eon, you finally stopped moving, collapsing on your back, wedged under a sharp rock and something delightfully soft in contrast. Your head pounded like your heart was there.
The world was truly spinning, your stomach turning violently. The taste of metal and grass in your mouth. Splinters of sunlight fractured your vision as you pried your eyes open, looking up the long hill to the sea of blurred faces. With a groan you assessed the damage quickly, and stood shakily, trudging over with only a slight limp to the clearing next to you so they could see you were alright. But with blood running down your forehead, arms swinging around for purchase as your knees buckled, you can imagine it was not exactly affirming.
“I’m okay. Is the thing dead? Are you all alright?” You asked, voice shaky.
The clinks of rocks and mud had your heart jumping as you moved back, falling on your hands and knees, moving backwards like a crab then standing again when sense came back to you.
Someone, no idea who, was making their way down the hill, at the very loud and very kind protest of your teammates.
You found your voice as your head swam with worry, your vision still too blurry to make anyone out. You didn't want them to get hurt. “No, no it's okay. I'll find my way up. Is it dead?” You called, wondering if you had asked that already, but truly unable to remember.
Your head was severely pounding. And perhaps you were fine until a wave of dizziness blacked out your vision, and your legs gave out from underneath you. Pain ripped up your tailbone to every single cell of your spine. You felt like you might throw up as you yelped. But after wincing, and back bowing in, eyes squeezing firmly shut, your gaze met a lovely red flower beside you. With a deep blue and orange center. With oval-like petals the size of your actual face. It was ripped in half savagely and you felt the ground around you in a panic, calloused fingertips meeting soft petals wedged under your ass.
Oh no.  “Shit, I’m sorry.” You whined.
A laugh. You had no idea where it came from. “What is she apologizing to? A plant?” You paid them no mind, tears welling in your eyes at your destruction of the life here. It felt like you were still the same. You huffed, gazing at the horrible tear in its side. It was nearly as tall as your waist and it looked heavy, naturally leaning against a mossy tree. A thick white substance was flowing from the flower's core. It was bleeding.
“Oh my god, I'm so sorry.”
Combat training takes place before logic it seemed, as your shaking hands dipped into the flower, pressing against the center as if trying to stave it from bleeding out. But as you did so a burst of yellow dust slammed into your face. You choked, stupidly taking a deep breath in through your nose as you slid your mouth firmly shut, feeling a burn in your lungs, an itch in your nostrils. You sneezed, some of the powder falling out, dusting off of you. The flower’s essence was now burning on your hands and Darcy’s warnings kicked in much too late. You rubbed them against your rough pants, with the feverish feeling sinking in. They were no longer wet like though, almost like you had absorbed the thing.
Tingles raced up your arms as you winced, moving away quickly, truly just staggering around. Wiping your hands on the ground quickly again. But as soon as you stood on your feet your vision cleared, and everything became so much brighter.
Woah.
All of your pains faded away, almost healed. You felt great honestly. Nothing felt tilted or like a scene with a film filter on now. You felt alive, it was the only word for it. And so when Quaricth made it to the bottom finally, an almost scared expression on his face, eyebrows once furrowed in worry, scrunched in confusion. Lending to genuine shock as he watched the gash on your forehead heal itself, sealing with a pink glow, leaving your blue skin perfectly untouched.
His mouth went dry, gaze straying to the plant beside you. It looked quite familiar. Then back.
“You okay, Cupcake?” You throbbed at the nickname, deep in between your thighs, so sharp you almost fully folded over. What was that? You cleared your throat, feeling the tingles from your hands race up your windpipe as if you had just drank something fizzy, coaxing your words to slow, the octave going just slightly deeper. It didn't go away, the feeling flowing up your arms and wrapping around your waist like an embrace. Oh god. “Yeah, Let’s go.” He handed you your knife, neatly cleaned on his shirt and you stashed it back at the garter on your thigh with a wink.
He felt his steps still as you moved around him, grabbing at the rope Mansk threw down as you started to climb. You looked utterly fine, but he knew you weren't. It wasn't because he watched a gash heal itself on your skin, but instead for the fact that you had winked at him. You would never have dared.
His ears twitched, his tail flicking leaves harshly before he reined himself in again, determined to keep a firm eye on you.
*******
You knew something was wrong. Knew as soon as you touched that fucking plant. As soon as your vision cleared you knew what it was, what you had just properly and thoroughly infected yourself with. The so-called “dirty dragon”. You wish you had paid more attention, wished you didn't roll down a hill and hit your head making you delirious. Wished you were not stupid enough to try to save a goddamn plant as Lyle suspected. But here you were.
Maybe there was a cure.
Maybe you could make it back in time before it kicked in. You would never tell Darcy, she wouldn't help you anyway, but the chances of no one else noticing seemed slim. You stayed at the back of the pack, covering their backs as Quaritch led them once again. His search of the forest in front of him interspersed with glances over at you that you never failed to notice.
The recoms were just as distracting, but in an irritating way. You could smell all of them, all of their signature scents like they were pressed against you, nuzzling your face. It made your head hurt. You chose to focus on the best scent, his. It was intermingled with all of the other recoms, but it was the strongest, the best.
Your heart raced as you took deep breaths in, feeling the tingles spread from your lungs to your breasts with the action. Your gun kept slipping from your grip from sweat, it clung to your skin like a film, the relative cool of the morning in Pandora wrenched from you as heat wave after heat wave hit you. Sweat sliding down your forehead and teasing your parted lips. The rub of your thighs together as you moved in a low crouch was so intoxicating. A zing of electricity flowed up your body each time the seam of your camo pants met your center.
You were wet, so wet you could feel it. It felt like a period at first and you had panicked a little before realizing na’vi women did not get those, they reabsorbed the uterine lining as all animals should. It felt almost like a weight in between your thighs, as you noticed your arms shaking beside your head all whilst you kept the gun raised. On guard still even when you felt dizzy and faint. Hot and cold. Core aching desperately.
Quaritch raised a clenched fist and you all paused immediately as if in sync. His glance over a broad, muscled shoulder was quick, “Take the gear up three clicks and wait for Ghost and I there. Make camp.” Your core pulsed at his mere voice, an urge to be closer to him undeniable as you were still at the back of the group. Confusion marring their faces. He had an order against night ops, or at least he had as a human.
“What? Stay the night here? Are you crazy?”
It was Lopez, never shy to disagree with the Colonel's orders. But the look he gave him shut his mouth up real tight, sealing his attitude off.
“Nevermind. Let’s go. Move out.” Lopez grunted, picking up Colonel's dropped pack too before leaving. Struggling with the weight Quaritch didn't even bat an eye at.
Quaritch looked so good, hand loosely poised over his comm collar, the other resting on his cocked hip, braid swinging behind him with the motion. He looked delicious and you ached at the sight of him.
“General Ardmore, we're making camp. We’ll be back at 0600 sharp the next morning.” It was not a negotiation. You would have laughed at his gall, but it was no surprise to you and the snappy talk made you bite your lip, focusing on the deep timbre of his voice, basking in the sound.
You only snapped back to reality when you noticed the silence. Your group now a blurred mess in between faraway leaves, too far away, much farther than you remember them being. The colonel's words came back to you.
Take the gear, wait for me and Ghost there.
Leave us alone basically.
Oh god.
“Looks like you got yourself into some deep shit huh, Cupcake?” You sniffed, wiping at the sweat on your hairline frantically. “I don't know what you mean, sir. What did I do?” You squinted up at him, light spilling through long leaves to illuminate his figure, his eyes burning a bright gold in its rays.
You tasted your sweat as you took deep breaths, fists clenching as you felt your nipples rub against your bra with the move, thighs clenching slightly.
“I can hear your heartbeat, remember?”
Your face blanched, going still, eyes wide as he grabbed the strap of his vest, leaning into a hip, his lowered eyes travelling down your shaking figure.
“What plant did you fall into exactly?” He asked, a hint of amusement in his voice. He sounded smug. The bastard.
Shaking your head, you moved around him quickly, the movement matched the slight wind, bringing his scent over you in a rush. It was so sudden-so strong and good that you gasped loud and harsh. Your pupils were blown as they stared ahead at the foliage, praying something would come out of it and eat you. End your misery as you feel your cheeks burn. Jaw clenched.
You ignored every tingle and jolt as you trudged on, hearing him fall in step behind you.
“Ghost, just tell me what it is. One of the scientist freaks can help.” You scoffed, turning back sharply, almost colliding with his broad chest, your own heaving, each breath harder to grasp. You hated this, every single part of it. Hating how every part of you wanted to be plastered to him, wanted to feel all of him. How hard you had to fight it.
“No. They couldn’t. They wouldn't.” You cry, gaze, meeting the ground in shame.
“What do you mean? They have cures to nearly every poison on this dam’ planet by now.” He moved forward as he spoke, cautious like you were a wounded animal. You bit hard enough on your bottom lip to split it, tasting metal once again as you smoothed sweaty palms down your thighs, tensing as shivers racked your body with the action. He moved even closer and you backed up five quick steps, they could nearly be counted as hops, your eyes wide with alarm.
He did not understand the danger he was in. How badly you wanted him. What you would do to have him and if he kept trying to come into your space you were not entirely sure he wouldn't find out.
“It's not a poison, Quaritch.”
A breath of silence stretched between you, both of you instead focusing on the chirps and caws of Pandora wildlife around you. And that's when he noticed it. The shaking of your hands, your voice, the blown-out pupils eating away at the gold of your eyes. The sweat. The wink. It’s not poison. What else could it have been? A healing plant was unlikely to cause these side effects. What else did Darcy-
Oh.
Oh.
“Take care of it.”
You scoff, cheeks burning, tail whipping behind you sharply.
“Excuse me?” It was shrill, the embarrassment rationing off your shy side to near nothing.
He gestured to the base of a large and thick tree trunk. Made a show of turning around, arms out wide, walking twenty paces out and stilling, gun at his side. Guarding you. He couldn't be serious. He couldn't. But the thought of actually doing it, sinking into the bark, tearing off your belt and slipping your hands under your pants, feeling along your cunt all whilst he listened, watched out for you? It was insane, and you refused to give in, but despite that thought your body moved for you. Your hands were moving and your knees locking before you fell to the grassy heap at the base of the tree.
******
Quaritch was sure he would pass out any minute now. He was tense, still, waiting, a part of him hoping you’d refuse, another knowing you would not be able to.
He could smell you for miles since the fall and the collision with that damn plant. He had been hard for hours, only taking point so no one else would see it. But you never noticed, you never did.
He wasn’t looking forward to the hell General Ardmore would put him through when he got back, but he knew you would not have made it back in time. He may have been distracted during the safety presentation by your scent, your warmth, and the touch of your soft thigh through his cargo pants but he paid attention, and it paid to do so. So he knew the shit you were in and it was deep. This was meant to be agony. He just knew- His ears swivel at the clink of your belt, followed by a rush of soft breaths.
Rustling has his tail twitching up, flicking side to side, nearly hitting his bent arm on the downswing. But it goes silent again and he can't help it. “You okay, Peach?”
Your moan is loud and he chokes, nearly falling over, fighting the urge to look, already perfectly picturing what he would find. He could hear you. How slick you were, he could smell it, his mouth watering, heat pooling in his stomach, fists clenching.
“God please keep doing that, Quaritch.” You gasped. His dick twitched. He stops, stomach flipping. “Doing what?” He drawled, bringing the last syllable on a walk, loving the squeak you made in its favour. His voice came out deeper, more rasped than he would have liked but he just  swallowed, hard. Fighting to not look over, slightly failing and getting a sliver of blurred blue in his peripheral vision, a glance at scattered clothes nearest to him.
“Talking.”
God. Someone save him.
It was wrong, all so wrong and yet he would do whatever you wished at that moment. He would say anything you wanted.
“What do you want to hear?”
A slick sound and another gasp and he swore he cracked a tooth with how hard he clenched his jaw. “Anything. Just need your voice. I love your voice. Fuck!” And he groaned, ears twitching against his head, eyes squeezed shut as he fought the urge.
He wouldn't do this, he wouldn't. It wasn't right, but still, he talked.
“I can smell your cunt.”
A moan.
“I could smell it for fucking miles ever since you ran into that fuckin’ plant. Could smell you. Could hear your heartbeat…both of them.”
He couldn't breathe because every time he did, he smelt you, he breathed you in and he was one step closer to losing it. To breaking.
“Never wanted to fuck something so bad in my life. Wanted to pin you up against a tree, rip all the damn' clothes off of ya’ until you admitted what you need.” He could hear your heightened breaths. “Please, I'm so close.” But he stopped, shaking his head.
“What-why?” you called, voice vulnerable. It was a whine and he was delighted. This was power and he knew how to wield it. You always wasted yours.
You could have had him back there at the bottom of the hill if you asked, in front of his whole damn team if you wished. Hell if you jumped him he would have gone for it, no questions asked. You could have had him at fifty one when you wanted him. He would’ve fucking taken you. It would have been wrong, but he would not have cared. But you never did try, never even got close when you could have. You never did the wrong thing, the thing you wanted. Needed.
But he was not you.
“I'll keep talkin’ till you cum all over those pretty fingers enough to be cured Cupcake, even if it takes till fuckin’ sunrise. But only if you let me watch.” His voice came out as a drawl, southern accent sticking to every syllable. His ears twitch to better hear you reply. It was immediate.
“Turn around.”
And he does, slow and sure like.  It takes everything in him to do it that way. To not seem too eager, like he hadn't been thirsting for your pussy since you were first placed on his team, when you were barely more than a teen. You were barely twenty and he was starting fifty, and yet he had wanted you. Human or not, Miles Quaritch wanted to fuck you and he was convinced that would never go away. You were not simply something he could get out of his system, but he would try.
Good God.
His heart stopped as his gaze met yours. Your eyes half-lidded, wobbly knees pulled apart, showcasing your drenched fucking cunt. You were wearing nothing but your dog tags. He found himself walking towards you, focused on the many strands of hair that fell from your braid, plastering themselves to your body, your neck, and your arms. Your face lovely and flushed, lips parted and swollen, but not as much as they ought to be. He drops to his knees in front of you, uncaring for the gun he throws in the grass somewhere around behind him, gaze never leaving you. Your heaving chest, your heavy breasts, your full blue curves in the sunlight.
“Talk.”
It was a demand and he could meet it.
“Yeah, whatever you want, baby. I’ll do anything you want.” He was stomach to the ground, palms gripping at the earth beside him as if for solace as he took a deep breath in and held it. His eyes flashed open as he watched your small lean fingers messily draw circles on your clit, hips jerking up, chest heaving. It wasn’t enough and the scrunch between your brows was from pain, not pleasure. He was breaking as your eyes met his. It was not the first time you looked at him like that, with enough lust to make his stomach flip, but it was certainly the first time he had ever been able to do something about it.
Jesus, he needed you.
“Use me, baby, please. I can give you what you need, y’know I can. I’ll fill you up, fuck that pollen right out of you if you want me.” A shocked sound came from you as if personally offended, hands falling off your body. You stood on wobbly knees and he joined you, cock aching as he stared down at your small flushed frame. You were beautiful like this. Perfect.
He was giving the power to you. Addressing the imbalance. You could refuse him, you could shove him away and he would willingly go, but he knew you wouldn't.
“ I want you. I a- I want you. Please.” It was a rasp, your voice near gone, throat parched. And your hands, hot as the sun gripped his tank top in fistfuls under his vest. He could feel your touch even above the cloth. At first he thought you were pulling him in until you whined when he tried to close the space. Hand smoothing up his shoulders. “Want this off?” He asked, hands on his vest. You only nodded and he unclipped it, not needing to be told twice, dropping it slowly to the tree beside him, your hand now laid on his bare shoulder.
“More.” Another demand.
He barely refrained from ripping the thing off. Settling for grabbing fistfuls on the back of his shoulders and pulling it up and over his head. Before he even tossed the shirt to the ground you were kneeling, thumbs dipping to rest on his hip bones. Your nose sliding up the line of his abs, inhaling deeply. He gasped, hand finding your hair, feeling the sweat there as you licked and kissed up his stomach.
One of his hands falling to the tree to keep his knees from fuckin’ giving out. You devour every inch of skin he showed. It was perhaps the first time he ever felt worshipped, with hands the heat of the sun gripping at his lithe waist, pulling and tugging him how you wanted, as you kissed, licked and bit at him, taking your pleasure with his. Your face rubbed along his hard-on through his pants nearly every third time you kissed his abdomen or sucked on a spot of his waist.
Butterflies. He got fucking butterflies like a teenage girl when you met his eyes, smiling before pressing the softest touch he had ever experienced in both lives, above his belly button.
That was it. “Oh, fuck it.” He rasped, pulling you up by the hands still on his waist, smoothing them up to rest around his neck, soothing your confusion with shushes as his hands tucked under your thighs, yanking you up as you yelped, a giggle falling from your lips. But you were not deterred, lips attacking his neck on the left side, under his jaw right by his chin and ear, and he nearly collapsed at the feeling, the pleasure that shot deep through his veins. With a deep breath his forehead met the tree. Fucking damn it, you would be the death of him. He overestimated how much strength he needed to carry you, to fuck you standing and you landed on his big blue chest, center landing on his sternum as gravity slowly pulled you down, the ridges of his abs rubbing into your puffy clit.
*******
You threw your head back at the feeling. Your thighs squeezed his sides as you slid down to rest on his hips. His head tilted back too then, a small huff leaving his nose as he went to gaze at the sky, as if to ask for mercy. You licked a hot line up his throat, sucking hard and he moaned, vision breaking to land back on you. Furious, he looked furious and it made another honest to god giggle leave your lips. The sound made your stomach flip, your core aching as you ground your hips into him hard. But with your look at the blue sky next when he dove to kiss your neck, reality cut through the pollen-induced haze.
You were taking advantage of the situation. He was only doing this to help you, a member of his team, that was all.
“Wait, wait,” you called, breathless and panting and he did, pulling back immediately, alarm on his face. A question in his lust-blown eyes, the golden green hue nearly swallowed by the dark pupil.
“You don’t have to do this. I don’t want to infect you” You said, tears in your voice. He tensed, hands readjusting you as he aimed to meet your eyes. He hadn’t even considered you infecting him, he knew you couldn’t. But you looked so sad. Then he got it. You had to be kidding. You thought-. Fingers firm but gentle on your chin made your gaze match his. He looked down, heart nearly stopping as he saw the ghost charm glint in the sun, newly attached to your dog tags.
A gasp left him. His gaze matching yours, now electric. He would devour you. “I’d fuck you whether or not I’m high on some plant, Peach. I’ve wanted to fuck you for ages.” It came out as a purr against your cheek as he leaned in, finally admitting it.
And you know he means it. You see it in his eyes, and you swear it’s enough to do you in.
You laugh, a truly mean-sounding thing. A smirk slides onto your face. His face tucked into your neck, kissing along your pulse point until you whined, hips jerking. He could feel your wetness on his fingers, sliding down your thighs, the hard pebbles of your nipples and your heartbeat roaring against his chest in tandem. Your short breaths caught against his ear as he ground into you. You sounded nothing short of heavenly, heat curling in his abdomen, an ache forming in his chest and navel, electricity smoothing up his arms at your feverish touch.
But he felt you pulling away. He took a long time to pull away from you, even longer to open his eyes. “What, what’s wrong?” His voice was nearly gone, cracking at the seams, it was all pure ecstasy.
Another laugh met his ears as your shaky legs met the ground. You turned so your back was to him. A flush of heat slammed into him as he took the view in. He marvelled at the slope of your spine, the dips at your blue hips, the stripes on your skin, the glowing dots across your shoulder blades. You place your palms on the tree, feet spread just slightly apart and then you lean back, putting just about everything on display.
“Nothing’s wrong. I just want you to fuck me from behind.”
And his hands are on your hips before you even truly finish your sentence. You hear the clink of his belt, hear it slide out of the loops, falling to the grass carelessly behind you.
“Can you do that?” You ask, hips swerving. It was a taunt. He wanted you, he could come get you.
Your back arched, pussy aching, truly dripping, heat plastered to your sweaty skin. You were fearless then, for the first time in your life. It came from being truly wanted, even if for a brief moment. A brief dalliance would be all this ever was anyways.
A quick yank to your braid as he wrapped it around his fist had you gasping, pleasurable pain ricocheting up your spine, your ass rubbing against his crotch as he pressed into you, the tree bark just barely brushing your nipples and you nearly screamed. It was too much.
“I can and will fuck you anyway you want. I’d fuck you standing.” He nuzzled into the nape of your neck, his tongue sliding along your tendon, the cool wind latching onto the saliva and making you shiver so hard you squeezed your eyes shut, knees locking, bark digging into your skin. He chuckled, “I’m gonna be buried so deep inside this cunt you'll never be able to forget it.” His filthy words were accompanied by one strong palm smoothing over your left hip, pressing against your abdomen, ghosting your navel. “You’re gonna feel me here.” You whined. Clenching around nothing.
It was painful. The plant coming in full force, demanding to be bred and fucked. Waves of pain spread the feeling of knives along your skin and he seemed to notice the switch from pleasure to pain again. His mask dropped. He didn’t ask what you needed, he already knew. Fingers slipped down to your cunt, and he swore, his hand slipping almost past it with how slick you were as if moving through water.
“Fuck, you're so wet.” One hand gripped at your breast, acting as an anchor to his chest, to ensure you stayed steady, ready for him as he thrust three fingers inside you. He swore as he felt your tight, slick heat.
A gasp and a moan met his ears as your back arched, ass pressing into him,  one hand gripped at his wrist, begging for what you were not sure about- but he did. His fingers were so thick, so good and you couldn't even think as he pressed three inside you all at once with a deep groan, slowly pumping them in and out, the sound of it almost comically loud as he focused on pressing up at just the right angle and depth to have you screaming, clenching around him so perfectly.
Fuck, you were going to absolutely milk his cock.
You fell forward, pleasure rushing over you like waves. You grasped at the tree desperately, knees going weak. “Please,” you moaned as his thumb slipped over to rub small tight circles around your clit. You went higher and higher, breaths lasting mere seconds as you gasped, voice high as you moaned. It was so fucking good, your tip toes pressing into the ground as you leaned up into his touch, hips grinding on his huge fucking hand.  His thrusts turned faster, harder, hitting the perfect spot. A sharp press of his fangs to the back of your neck, the broad base of his chest against you, pressing your nipples just slightly against the rough bark and you shattered.
He had to hold you up as he kept pumping his fingers, barely able to move them as your orgasm took over, clenching around him in waves as he continued to fuck you. It was a momentary reprieve. He could tell that was not enough because your breaths just picked up speed again and you arched your back further. “Inside, please. I just need you. I’m ready.” He wasn't sure if that was true, but he also couldn't imagine you could be more prepared. He pulled his fingers out of you, watching your essence fall to the forest ground.
He gripped your jaw, pressing you hard against the tree, your wide eyes meeting his, cheeks flushed purple, drool spilling from your lips. He nearly came at the sight. Quaritch pulled you back against him hard and you gasped, limp in his arms. Brought his arms in front of you, his right hand covered in your slick, his pointer finger trailing your lower lip and your tongue snuck out to taste. But his hand was gone, pulled away with a click of his tongue, head shaking down at you. “You’re so messy. Look at you, such a slut.” He spat the words out and you ached. He heard your heart beat jump and he laughed, bringing his hand to his mouth instead, tongue swirling around his fingers.
Eyes closed, he moaned at the taste. He was starving for it. You tasted so sweet. Truly like a peach. He licked every bit of it off of him as you whimpered at the sight. You tasted like heaven. He needed more, but he knew that wouldn't satisfy what the pollen induced lust was craving, so he shoved you forward again, your shoulder meeting the tree with a wince, pleasure shooting down to your cunt at the roughness.
“Finally fuck me.” You pleaded, ass wiggling back, voice edged in anger, frustration. And he broke. He yanked the rest of his clothes off faster than what should have been possible, bare feet bracing inside of yours as he rubbed himself along your pussy. You were plenty wet and smiled at the feeling. He had been fully hard since he turned around and saw you, since then just pulsing, feeling as his pants tried to stretch to accommodate him.
It was a mild relief. He could give you more of it.
He tapped his head against your clit just to hear you hiss, see hints of your fangs. Moving down he lead himself to your cunt. The slide inside you was immediate, and he swore, tensing every muscle in his body in an effort not to cum immediately. “Oh fuck, Peach.” He tried to think of something else, something other than your perfect fucking pussy clenching around him, tugging him in further like he was meant to fit there inside you near to the hilt forever. You felt like warm silk and he could feel himself get close, all as your hips moved back and forth, still struggling to take him all in. “Don’t.” he rasped.
You stilled, smile falling as you peered back at him, worried he changed his mind, worried you would never get the release you needed for the pollen to leave you.
“If you move, I'll cum.”
But that did not deter you. Actually, it seemed to make you move faster. You pulled off him, nearly hugging the tree until just the sensitive tip of his cock was inside you before sliding all the way back with a roll of your hips that had his hands seizing, his abdomen lurching in pure pleasure. “Fuck sake, stay still, girl.” You clenched around him at the nickname and he chuckled. He saw how it was. Two could play this game. If he would come quick, he would make sure you did it first, as many times as he could wrench from you. And his words always seemed to do the trick.
“Should have known you were a fuckin’ freak. The way you looked at me back then was absolutely filthy, baby. You wanted me even when I was fifty, isn't that right?” The southern drawl sounded so mocking as he thrust into you. It wasn't really a question, but he stilled, waiting for your answer.
“Yes!” You yelled, shame burned your cheeks as he slid his own against yours, leaning forward over you making you moan. He was so nice and deep.  You could feel his smirk. But you were rewarded for honesty.
He thrust into you so hard you saw stars before falling into a nice rhythm. Staying slow and hard with his thrusts as he spoke, his sweaty chest plastered to your back as his balls slapped against your clit. In between grunts and gasps, he spoke near your ear, but it was nowhere near a whisper. There was a bigger thrill because he was so loud. Anyone could hear, anyone could see. “Y’would’ve let me use that perfect young cunt any time I wanted, huh? Let me bend you over my desk right before a meeting, fuck you full. Have you leave with my cum’ still drippin’ down all over your pretty legs.” His words and a fast circle to your clit have you cumming again, this time around his cock.
He swore, veins in his neck popping as you bared down on him, squeezing him for all he was worth. His own high closing in as he thrusted harder, slamming deep inside you, brushing something you didn’t even know existed. A gasp falling from your lips, eyes rolling back. He pushed a large hand into the divot of your back to force a deeper arch, your head falling forward as you braced for him. And he fucked into you hard and fast through your orgasm and past that, when you were so sensitive you barely realized that the heat was almost gone, the excess of sweat slowed to nearly nothing but from the exertion Quaritch was putting you through.
“Where do you- damn, “ a huff against your back, “I’m gonna cum, fuck-, where do you want me?” His hips moved as if to pull out of you as he asked, but you let go of the tree with one hand, grabbing the back of his thick thigh, getting half a handful of his ass, pushing him closer to you as you rock back on his cock, rolling your hips, making an effort to grind against his pelvis with fervor.
Head tilted up, fucking begging internally for him to grab your throat, to lean down and kiss you, but you knew he wouldn’t.
Not on the lips. He would never.
“Inside Miles, cum inside me.” And it was you saying those words, your sweet voice breathy and the feel of you around him that did him in. Warmth flooded your core as he fucked up into you, in three hard slow thrusts, the sofest sounds you have ever heard from him escaping his lips as his head fell against your shoulder, shaking against your back, his ragged breaths making your hair stand up as you shivered, grinding back into him in slow circles. And he winced, making a noise that could almost be construed as whining if you were listening.
He was all over you, his scent flooding you, his seed inside you, spilling around his cock and down your legs. His sounds were so sensually sweet and it made your heart ache. He was yours. You would make sure of it. And you felt the heat rise in your body again, undeniable and painful.
When he pulled out, you turned, and in the last burst of a pollen-induced haze you grabbed the back of his neck, bringing his neck to your mouth, your fangs immediately piercing into his skin, tasting blood, marking him. He grunted in surprise, wincing as his arms grabbed your elbows, not pulling you away but holding you all the same. It was a primal thing, an urge you weren't even sure you could have, until you fulfilled it. You nuzzled into the crook of his neck, lapping at the blood, delighting in the absolute pained sign-turned-moan that left his open mouth as you sucked at his blood, tearing slightly into his skin to affirm your mark.
A sudden shot of cum shot out across your abdomen as he wrapped your legs around him, his arms firmly around your back. Promptly falling on his ass with the force of his orgasm, moaning as his hips bucked into the air, chasing something that already passed.
You had done that.
The feeling of your fangs piercing his neck, marking him as yours had brought another orgasm right beside his last. Not even a minute later. That would not have been possible for any being other than a na’vi, and at this moment you were grateful for it. His strong arms held you tightly against him, your rapid deep breaths matching his, your ear plastered to his slick chest, the uneven rush of his heartbeat having your lips curl up. You looked up to see his eyes closed, squeezed shut as if in pain, rough hands slowly rubbing circles into your back, tracing the points of bioluminescence there, dewy grass tickling your knees on either side of his hips.
You felt the ache from the rough sex before the soreness in your muscles came over you. A side effect of the way he manhandled you or from the pollen you were not sure. You can't believe you just did that. You were in such shit. But it was not over yet. Both of you refuse to get up, to leave this haven and return to the realm where this is forbidden.
Your palm smoothed up his pec and farther to his neck, landing on the fresh blood there. You looked up, moving slightly off him, taking his jaw gently in your hands. His eyes looked calmer now, but his pupils were still very large as he watched you, breathing hard through his open mouth. You felt his breaths under your left hand on his chest, rising up and down with its force, gazing at his muscled figure, taking in every inch shamelessly. And he looked back at you tentatively, but not guarded.
Trusting.
Your other hand tilted his jaw to one side as you leaned against him, sweaty chests meeting as you felt his breath hitching. You placed a kiss on the bite mark and he flinched.
“I’m so sorry.” You said, voice tired but sincere. He just squeezed your hip, unable to talk. Not now, not like this. He was too vulnerable.
Your pointer finger found the spot you were looking for. The small freckle on his neck to the left side, on the edge of his adam’s apple. Dipping further down, strands of your hair tickling his chest you ever so softly kissed his beauty mark. A whisper of a touch. A loving touch.
Quaritch breathed sharply through his clenched teeth, like he was in pain and your eyes watered.
“Thank you.” You whispered, pulling away, hands sliding down his chest to his abdomen where your hips sat. It was such a soft gesture, your lashes fluttering as you met his eyes once more.
It was too much.
“No problem, Ghost.”
You tensed above him, but forced yourself to relax again. Your throat burned with the tears as you pushed up off of him. Still slow and cautious. You didn't want to give too much away. Not anymore.
That use of your alias was deliberate. It was a placement of the iron wall between you once more and although you knew it was coming, expected it even, it still felt like your heart was collapsing, wildly jumping all around your body as pain laced through your every shaky breath. Your jaw clenched tight, leaving him in a pile on the grass. It was hard to angrily walk away after taking a pounding like that, if anything you angrily wobbled away, but still, it was done. You wiped the cum off your body with leaves, and roughly stepped into your clothes. Your braid was undone, brushed with your fingers and redone. No need to keep it down.
You were sure he didn't leave any marks on you anyway. Harshly, you looked back, stopping mid-tie of your combat boot to see him. He was refastening his belt silently, nearly a half yard away and you just stared at his chest, his arms, catching on his tattoo on the left bicep. You never got to kiss it, and that thought nearly killed you. The yearning was a stabbing pain in your chest. It felt like being torn apart.
You noticed the marks, he had plenty to pass him by and you felt almost guilty, at least a little.
How would he explain it all?
But another part of you, the part of you that felt compelled to bite him in the first place grinned, smirking like a Cheshire cat with all the milk in the world at her disposal. It was like you had written ‘mine, mine, mine,’ all over him in the red and blue-black bruises scattered along his abdomen, along his v line dipping into his pants. The scratches on his left thigh, and of course the fucking bite mark on his neck, carved into the perfect blue canvas there from your fangs.
But if he minded it, he didn’t say a thing.
He could heal it at base camp easily with a nice blue gel, with no scars involved. You knew he would, but wished he wouldn't.
He didn't even acknowledge it as he walked into the set-up camp an hour later with you in tow. Did not even make to explain both of your absences. He wouldn’t. He didn’t need to. They knew.
You looked more put together than the Colonel, and that was the most obvious tell of what had happened. No one was more put together than him. It was like the man was born a military man, created from strict order and perfection.
Besides that there was the fact that you reeked of each other. No one could tell which scent was who’s, or even tell who you were by scent alone anymore. Then if they somehow missed that, the ripped shirt sleeve on your left side and the missed belt loop on Quaritch’s right hip was a good clue. Along with the uneven gait from you as you walked up the hill beside him to meet them, gun slung over your shoulder.
But the best clue- the one that did them all in, it had to be the fucking bite mark.
No, the declaration of property,
plastered on the left side of their colonel’s neck.

bonus:
It was five hours since they landed back at base and all the recoms were playing cards in the deserted cafeteria, all eerily silent.
Lyle could feel the tension in the air ever since you and Quaritch separated like the sea when Bridgehead came into view. You go to the showers probably and Quaritch heads off to explain himself to general Ardmore, looking only slightly more presentable than yesterday.
They all wordlessly looked at each other before Lopez spoke up, the sound of the helicopter still ringing in their sensitive ears.
“So… cards, anyone?” Lopez asked. Everyone immediately agreed, a series of frantic nods and a chorus of affirmation as they all moved to the cafeteria.
They didn’t even bother changing, showering, eating, just walked to the cafeteria jostling each other, sharing tidbits from the mission in small laughs, but they never dared to speak about you. Or at least not what they were all actually thinking about in terms of you.
“Did you see the way she jumped in front of Quaritch with the-“
“-yeah. Just like old times. Stepping in front of shit, for that old goat.” Prager laughed, shaking his head roughly, disbelieving. He never understood that. He never would.
“The way the fucking thing kicked her off a cliff and she like got up, like she was fine??” Lyle exclaimed with a scoff, hands motioning in front of him wildly.
“Yeah that’s Ghost, alright.” She huffed a small laugh. “Y’know, i’ve never seen the Colonel throw himself in danger for anyone. But he cleared that fucking hill immediately after she fell.” Z-dog sounded almost awed as she finished speaking, still chewing her gum that had long since gone flavourless.
They all nodded, silence falling again. Mansk pulled a very serious face as if he was thinking hard enough to hurt before he spoke.  “It’s because he never has.”
They all turned to look at him, stilling as memories washed over them. It was always Colonel and Ghost. Always. The clatter of the dining hall got so loud as they were awash in melancholy. He was right.
They took off their gear and rounded the benches, the cards came out and it was dead quiet once again, but the tension was thick. Hard to breathe. The only sound was cards shuffling, the rhythmic pop of Z-dogs gum, and Prager’s huffs whenever he lost (which was always). It was enough for Lyle to finally break after two rounds. “So we all agreed they fucked each other, right?” His voice not even close to a whisper.
“YES!” The group yelled, in unison again.
Relief went through them so fast, like a huge wave that crashed over and through them, their tired shoulders hunching forward like a weight fell off of them. And excitement rushed in to take the tension’s place.
“I knew it!-”
“I called it!” Z dog laughed, “Pay up you leeches!” Her hands spread out, cards falling to the metal table as she made a mock grab for Prager’s pockets. He only snorted, batting her away with a soft ‘fuck off, z-dog.’
They all laughed, feeling the buzz return to them, the camaraderie. “I just can’t believe it. I thought she’d never do it.” Lyle laughed, almost a sense of pride in his tone.
Lopez snorted. “Why not? He's always wanted her.” Nods all around the table.
“Yeah, they just both would never admit it.” A chorus of agreement once again, but the silence dipped into their group again. An unspoken thing still hanging over them.
“So… what changed?”
No one had an answer. They were shocked seeing you guys trudge back up that hill an hour after Quaritch told them to set up camp. After they realized you had fucked the hell out of each other.  But for some reason it seemed so normal. Natural. The tension had to break at some point. Everything gives in eventually. And they had been waiting for you two to break for years. It took two  lifetimes.
They didn’t want an answer. Not really. None of them would ever talk of it outside the group. They were not snitches and they cared for both of you far too much to even think of it anyways.
They just hoped you two fucking didn't make your relationship worse, or even more complicated than it was naturally.
But perhaps it already had…

Need a new roommate? ˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
Tumblr media
Heeseung x fem!reader reader is called she
genre- fluff, strangers to lovers
word count- 5.3k 【5,382 words】
warnings- a little suggestive, throwing up, drunk heeseung, swear words, grammar errors, not really proof read
summary— you’re really broke and is in need of a new roommate. But then a unexpected stunning face shows up at your door, because he had seen your fliers.-☆
༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶
you’re broke. And you can’t even pay your own rent for your own apartment anymore. Damn, you need a roommate to split the price.
well, you have a little money to print some fliers. Good start. You’re stressed. What if nobody is interested in living with you? You might as well live back in your parents home. That’s another option.
you stretch, then rub the tiredness out of your eyes. Your work place does not pay high enough though you work your ass off 13 hours a day. Should you quit? Nah, no one, and no place else would’ve hired you anyway.
you yawn while putting on your shoes and your coat. You grab your keys, your bag, then lock the door behind you. The chilly crisp air meets your face and you slightly smile. Perfect weather. Now you go get printing.
༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶
You grab some duct tape you found in a random drawer, and rush out with your newly printed papers that all say “ looking for a new roommate. Call XXX-XXX-XXXX (your number) for the address.”
You rip the duct tape between your teeth to cut it as you stick the papers on street lamps and poles. You try to make them as noticeable as possible, so you can get a new roommate quickly. You are not really trusting yourself with this, since you kicked your last roommate out because they brought too many of their guests over to fuck. Damn your ears.
you guess you would give it another try, but this time you really needed it.
-
4 days later, you get a call late at night.
“hello?” You ask.
“hi, is this the right number for a roommate? I saw the fliers.” A slightly deep voice says. You were surprised to say the least, since your last roommate was a woman. Would it be weird living with the opposite gender?
snapping out of your thoughts, you answer, “yes this is the right number. I’m y/n by the way. Thanks for calling. I would like to know about your sanity first?”
“Oh my room is pretty clean in my parents home. I was taught to always clean after myself. And I’m pretty obedient. So that makes things easier. I can also cook if you want. Don’t worry, I won’t burn your apartment down. I promise.” He yawned.
you nodded your head at his answer. He’s clean, obedient, and he can cook? Wow, you sure are lucky.
“sure. I’ll text you the address after the call. Thank you for calling once again.” You politely say. You sigh. A message pops up on your screen from an unknown number, and you open it curiously. Oh, it’s the guy from before.
(unknown number)- call me heeseung
(unknown number)- also can I move in next week?
you- oh of course! Let me tidy up the house a bit then. Uhh I’ll check my schedule when I’m free and we can talk.
you then opened his contact and changed his name to “new roomie heeseung.” You think nothing of it. You never even thought of his looks, or friendliness. Only his cleanliness.
new roomie heeseung- okay thank you so much 😄
you leave him on read, and put your phone down. Okay, time to get cleaning.
.༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶.
3 days passed, and it’s the end of the week. Heeseung comes tomorrow. You’re nervous. Very nervous.
you’re very proud of yourself when you look around your apartment. It was sparking clean, almost blinding you. You smile to yourself, and go clean the bed sheets and comforter of the guest room for heeseung.
your phone buzzes from your back jeans pocket while your holding the bunch of the guest room’s sheets. The comforter is drying outside, and you’ve already dusted every centimeter of that room. (yours too.)
you’ve cleaned up your room and bought a few decors for the kitchen too. You want to make a good impression on your new roommate. What if he would move out because of you?
Nah you’re too nice for that. You’ve got looks too. You’ve caught the eyes of people several times in college and high school, and your face hasn’t changed much.
You didn’t sleep that much that night. Work was really stressful the day you cleaned. Cleaning can take your mind off of things sometimes. Today was finally your day off, to meet heeseung. You two were still talking over text daily, but made it a surprise to show each other your faces. He was surprisingly fun to talk to too.
The following morning you were still wide awake, with somehow no eye bags at all, and swept the whole apartment. You vacuumed as a double check too. you check your phone.
new roomie heeseung- I’m almost there!
you: don’t worry, take your time
You sat of your couch waiting and waiting patiently. The clock strikes 2:30 pm. A few minutes later, knocking is heard.
You stand up immeadiately and checking yourself. You run to the bathroom, check your makeup, (You wore light makeup) and fix your outfit a bit. You rush to the front door and open it.
Woah. a tall handsome man stands in front of you. He’s absolutely stunning. Time seems to slow down once you opened the door. Best decision you’ve ever made. Damn you better close that mouth of yours before you start drooling and embarrass yourself.
“it’s heeseung,” he smiles confidently at you, while holding all his luggage. Damn he is so handsome. It makes you want to see him smile forever. Fuck, your delusional ass needs to be stopped before your mind drifts somewhere else.
“hi,” you bow, “I’m y/n the owner of the apartment. Come inside and put your luggage in.” You motion him toward the living room.
“the guest room- no your room, is on the left side of the hallway and next the the bathroom.” You inform, and point towards where you were saying. He listens carefully. When you look over at him, he’s already looking at you. He smiles, and takes off his shoes.
“you can go ahead and unpack. Make yourself at home. Do you want a drink?” You ask.
“water is fine with me,” he shrugs. As he walks away you smile to yourself. How did I get so lucky? You think. You snap out of your thoughts, and go to the kitchen to get him some water.
as you reach for a clean cup, heeseung comes out. He watches you intently, not making a sound. He smirks to himself.
“damn why is it so high,” you grumble. You then feel someone’s presence behind you, and a hand reaches for the exact cup. “need help?” The male says behind you. You’re flustered. “You know, I could’ve done it myself.”
“seems like you needed help though,” he smirks. “I’ll get the water by myself by the way.”
you nod you head, pointing to the water boiler where the water had been boiled a few hours prior to his arrival. You walk to your room embarrassed.
tsk, this is so cliche. You thought. No way your going to get close with that guy. He’s a bit flirty, from what you’ve noticed. Maybe he’s had multiple girls drool over him before, including you.
you don’t know anything about the guy in your house, he could be a murderer. You sit on your bed and wonder, going into your own world. Soon, you fall asleep, with your door slightly opened. Also with someone watching you fondly from the creak in the door.
.༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶.
heeseung was still living in his parents house after college. He had a job, a well paying one, but he didn’t seem to like the idea of living on his own. Not that he wasn’t mature enough, he just didn’t want to.
His mom scolded him that he was old enough to move himself out, and started comparing him to his cousins, once again. This happens every time. He groans to himself.
“OKAY! I GET IT! I’LL TRY TO FIND A NEW PLACE BY NEXT WEEK. HAPPY?” Heeseung shouts from his room. He can already see his mom smiling in his head. A silence passes, and heeseung flops onto his bed. He knows that it will be hard to find a new place to call home.
-
as heeseung walks out from the cafe to take a stroll, he spots something. More like a flying paper. It lands on the ground right in front of him, like it was destiny.
“looking for a new roommate.” He reads aloud. He smiles to himself in victory. Just what he needed. He picks up the paper to dial the number printed. I hope nobody else has taken this opportunity, he thinks to himself. He calls your number, and you pick up a few seconds later. You agreed almost immediately, and the address was thankfully not far from his parents home.
he couldn’t stop smiling on his way back home to tell his mother.
— a few days later—
His mom is excited. She helps him pack everything, and clean up his room. After that is all finished, he tells you he will be coming soon with all packed luggage.
“my baby is all grown up now,” his mom smiles. She pinches his cheeks lovingly, while heeseung is trying to swat away her hands.
“thank you, but I’ll be going now,” heeseung grumbles. “Love you mom” he kisses her cheeks goodbye. His dad hugs her.
“be safe son! You’re an adult now!” His dad shouts behind him.
heeseung smiles as he gets into his truck. “Goodbye! I’ll make sure to visit from time to time!” He drove off, humming a happy tune.
when he had arrived, he parked his truck outside. He looks at his watch, 2:34, not too late. He grabs his heavy luggage and repeats the address number in his head multiple times. Once he reaches your floor, he’s huffing and puffing. He’s nervous, since the two of you decided to keep your faces a surprise. He nervously rings your doorbell, and when you open the door- he’s completely out of breath this time.
you’re absolutely adorable in his eyes. When you smile up at him, it makes him almost immediately smile back. He decides to put a confident smile on and introduces himself.
“ it’s heeseung.” He says. You introduce yourself very politely, and motion him towards his own room- not before inviting him in with a drink. He smiles. Finally. He takes off his shoes, and carries his luggage to the room you had pointed to.
He heard clanking of glasses in the kitchen, and curiosity filled him. He goes to where the sound came from, and sees you trying to reach for a cup. Cute, he mumbles under his breath.
he doesn’t know where this boldness comes from but then- he automatically helps you, making you flustered. He sees the light blush on your cheeks. He’s used to doing things on his own, which was what his parents taught him to do. He fills his cup, and sips the liquid inside.
he watches as you rush to your room, and he smirks a bit to himself.
a few minutes later, as he’s walking back to his room, he sees that your door is opened a little bit. He was going to ask about the wifi, but found that you were sound asleep. How much cuter could you get? He smiles fondly to himself admiring your silent sleeping figure.

when you wake up, you are parched. So of course, you go into the kitchen to fill your cute duck mug. As soon as you walk out of your room, you see heeseung only in a towel, leaning against his bedroom door frame. His hair is slightly damp, and messy falling in front of his eyes. How the hell can a man be so sexy?
You freeze. Heeseung doesn’t notice you, gladly, because his phone is distracting him. He sure took the message, “make yourself at home.” You blink a few times before walking the other direction to the kitchen. You check the time first- 6:00 pm?!?
You sure slept for a long time. You don’t realize that you’ve been staring at your phone screen that has turned off already, because you had spaced out.
Now heeseung finally notices you and smiles. He sees that you’ve spaced out and your duck mug and phone are in both your hands. He gushed to himself at how cute you look. He puts a hoodie on and sweats before approaching you. He walks over to you and asks, “how was your sleep y/n?”
you jump a little, snapping out of your thoughts. You turn around, and smile back at him.
“it was alright, but that was much needed rest. Work has been tiring lately, that’s all.” You say casually, though he didn’t ask. He stares at you while you talk. He listens carefully to everything you say.
The conversation flows smoothly, and goes on and on. The two of you are the about the same age, him being a few months older. What a coincidence. You both learn about each other and your habits. You tell him about how you two will split the bills, and he agreed knowing it would be fair enough. Giggles and laughs fill the air. Maybe you do want to get close with him.
you both order takeout for dinner, and become more comfortable with each other as time passes by.
A few hours later, [10:34 pm] you both say goodnight to each other. You wave, and go to your respective rooms. You flip down on your bed and crawl into your comforter.
You sigh. Why can’t you sleep? Were you in..love? No stupid! It was because you took a nap in the afternoon! You thoughts cloud away as you finally drift off.
meanwhile, in the other room across from you, heeseung can’t sleep because of the opposite reason.
.༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶.
the next morning, you wake up tired, but determined. You get ready, but today you put on a little extra makeup. You want to work harder and overtime today so you can get extra pay. You put on a cute outfit, a shirt with a collar, and add a cute clip in your hair.
You had forgotten about heeseung, so when you went to the kitchen, you were surprised. “Good morning,” Heeseung says. His morning voice is a bit deeper.
“morning.” You respond. You walk quickly past him, to get your mug to get water.
“where are you going?” A voice says behind you.
“to work. Don’t you have a job to go to too?”
“yeah, but it’s later in the afternoon.”
You nod. an awkward silence fils the air as you make your toast and run to the front door, to put your shoes on. As you grab your keys, a voice stops you. “wait,” Heeseung says. “When do you come home from work?”
“9 pm today. I’m working overtime. Usually I come home at 7 pm. why do you ask?”
“uh so we can get to know each other more? Also, I’ll be coming home before you.” He rubs the back of his head. You wonder if there was another reason behind that. You smile.
You check your watch. “okay, I’ll tell you my schedule once I get home. I’ll be going now!” You grab your keys and head out.
he picks his hand up to wave, but the door shut closed before him. “bye.. have a nice day at work…” his lips form a thin line, and he turns around to get ready to go to his own work place.
.༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶.
“Someone’s in a good mood.” Your coworker, and best friend, Chaeyoung grumbles. You were so caught up into your own world, that you forgot about the people around you. Oops.
you smile at her excitedly and spill everything. How your roommate was so hot, and how he was really sweet about everything. His reactions are on timing, and his laugh is angelic. You could go on and on about him, but just then your boss walks in front of you two.
“get back to work!” He barks. “yes sir.” You mumble, head hanging low.
.༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶. when you come home from work, the apartment is silent. You put down your things, and run to your room. You flip down on your bed exhausted, but your stomach growls so loud that the earth also rumbles.
you groan, not wanting to get up. You see a figure by your bedroom frame. “Are you okay?” Heeseung asks. He walks over to you.
do I look okay? “Yeah I’m fine,” you mumble. “Just a little hungry.”
“I’ll make something for you, don’t worry.” He says.
“wait.” You grab his wrist to stop him. That catches his attention immediately. “You don’t have to.”
“but I insist.”
you sigh, letting go of him. “okay then.”
as you play on your phone, heeseung calls you out. You crawl out of your bed, and walk to the kitchen. A bowl of fried rice sits on the table with chopsticks and a spoon at the side. Heeseung’s smile is contagious. “This is for me?” You ask, pointing your index finger to your chest.
“go ahead and dig in.” He gestures towards the bowl. “Thank you for the meal.” You say genuinely. When the rice hits your taste buds, your eyes widen. You look over at heeseung, who was already looking at you for your reaction, and you put up a thumbs up. You giggle to yourself. He cooked this for me! Does that mean he cares for me? You think. You see heeseung smile at the side of your eye, probably proud of himself. “Do you want some?” You ask. He’s taken aback. Then hesitates. He slowly nods. “Sure.”
you grab your spoon and get a spoon full. You try to give the spoon to him, but the moment you turn, he opens his mouth. He wants to you to feed him. He looks at you expectantly with his cute blinking bambi eyes and his mouth open, waiting to be fed. The proximity catches you off guard and you blush. You put the spoon into his mouth, and he chews.
“oh wow. I’m a good cook.” He compliments to himself. He smirks up at you, know the effect he has. He walks away like nothing happened after that.
.༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶.
he’s giving you mixed signals. It’s been a few months of living with him, and you’ve fallen deep. One day, he’s being affectionate, and the other day he’s neutral. You’ve gotten comfortable with each other, making jokes about anything, and doing Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who does the dishes.
but today, he went out to to go to hang out with his friends. Today for you, was just another tiring day of work. You take a very refreshing shower, and do a face mask. It was a day to yourself. You wear your cute shiro pajamas, and matching fuzzy socks.
you grab a few chip bags and drinks, and get cozied up in your cocoon of blankets. You grab your laptop, and watch your Netflix show. You feel so relaxed. A few hours and a few episodes later, you feel tired. Why hasn’t heeseung came home yet? You yawn.
just then, your phone rings. You pick up immediately, seeing the caller is was your roommate.
“hello? Is this heeseung’s roommate?” A male voice asks.
“Yeah. What’s going on? Also who are you?” You ask.
“I’m Jake, heeseung’s best friend. Heeseung is reallly drunk right now, and I need you to take him home.”
really? You taking heeseung home? But your so comfortable right now! You groan in frustration.
“okay just send me the location and I’ll be there.” You say and then hang up. You get out of your comfy bed, and get changed into a hoodie. You don’t want to change your pants, so you leave it be.
you check your phone and see that heeseung is at a bar. You pick up your keys and drive to the location. Once you arrive, you text that you’re here. You lean back on your car so that they could see you. Jake said he would check heeseung’s phone for him. A few minutes later, you see a blonde carrying a drunk heeseung on his back. You giggle at the sight.
Jake comes up to you, (because you told him that you were the one leaning on a car wearing a black hoodie) and tells you to open the car door.
He drops heeseung onto the passenger seat, and says goodnight to you. You wave back and turn your head to see a very drunk heeseung. He can barely open his eyes.
“hee, how much did you even drink?”
he holds up his hand to say he drank a “little bit”. (Like 🤏) you giggle at the sight, thinking he was lying. “Let’s go home.” You sigh.
you close the door, and put his seat belt on for him. You do the same for yourself, and then step in the pedal.
once you park into the parking lot, you unbuckle and go out to take heeseung out of your car. When you try to pull him out of the car, he whines. “I don’t want to get out,” and “I’m too tired to move.”
you groan in annoyance. You then pick him up, his arm around your shoulders, and your arm around his waist. You had to carry him all the way up to the 5th floor… and he was kind of heavy. I’ll get through it.. you think.
“I think I’m gonna puke.” He groans. “ my arm is also numbing.”
“We’re almost there, just- hold on a bit longer.” You say. You pant, and stop for a while. Just one more stair case. Why did the elevator have to be broken at this time?!?
heeseung gags, and immediately covers his mouth. You walk slowly up, so he doesn’t throw up easier.
once you make it, you let heeseung sit on the ground, so you can unlock the door. You drag him inside, and take him to the bathroom. “There, you can throw up now.” You pat his back, and stand up to get him a glass of water.
after heeseung is done, he wipes his mouth with the tissue you gave him, and you hand him his water.
“Feeling better?” You ask. He nodded, and gulp down the whole cup. “Let’s go get you some rest.” You stand up, and pull him with you. You go walk to his room, and lay him down. He lays there and talks quietly with you.
“hey I gotta tell you something.” Your ears perk up at that. You notice that he isn’t at all tired anymore. “Hmm?” You answer. You’re sitting on a chair you dragged from his desk to next to his bed.
“wait- nevermind.” He mumbles. Your a bit disappointed, and was kind of hoping he was going to say some good news.
“okay then I’ll go get you some more water, and I’ll go to sleep.” You sigh, yawning and stretching. When you stand up, a hand grabs your wrist. Heeseung is avoiding eye contact with you, but you think he’s still drunk. “Can you maybe sleep with me?” He mumbles, barely a whisper. You almost didn’t catch that. Your eyes widen, and you stutter, “ uh- I- uhm-” “it’s okay you don’t have to.” He let’s go of your wrist.
you sleeping with him? You’d take the opportunity if you could. So you hesitantly walk over to the other side of the bed, and tuck yourself in. There’s a awkward tension into the air, but heeseung speaks up first. “Would it be weird if we could cuddle?” You shake your head. The sheets shuffle, and a hand goes over your waist. Your not facing him, thankfully, or else he would’ve seen your tomato face. His other hand taps your back to lift a little, so he could hug you from behind.
you get the message almost immediately, and lift up a little. His arm slips through and he shifts so close to you that your back touches his chest. No words are exchanged between you two. His hand rubs circles on your stomach, and unconsciously slips under your shirt not in a sexual way. His head is tucked into your neck, your hair ticking his face. You knew he wouldn’t remember any of this. You sigh, hand going over his own.
you fall asleep, with thoughts clouding your mind. Little do you know, he was actually sober. He didn’t lie about drinking a little bit. He smiles to himself, and falls asleep a few minutes after you.
.༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶.
You wake up before him. When you try to get out of bed to make his hangover soup, his arms around you hold you tighter. He pulls you flush against his chest. His head is a mess, and his eyes are a bit puffy. How can he be so adorable?? You gush at him, and pry his arms away. He doesn’t move. You groan to yourself. Not going to lie, you actually love this position. You could get used to this. But, you two were only roommates. Just roommate things, right?
“Heeseungggg” you whine, trying to get out of his grip, though you don’t want to. “I’m going to be late for work.” He opens one eye and smiles. Your now facing him, trying to wake him up. He closes his eyes again, teasing you.
“I don’t care. Stay with me.” He mumbles. You groan and slap his face lightly and playfully. “ow.” He hold your hand on his face, making your hand cradle his face. You blush at the contact.
“I have to get up and make you your hangover soup.” You mumble.
“I don’t have a headache because I woke up next to you.” He winks. You glare at him playfully. You finally get up, and heeseung lets you, to go get ready. You stretch, and walk out of his room. “She’s so cute,” he mumbles. He hides his face into his pillow.
you get ready, and then go to the kitchen to make hangover soup and your breakfast. A few minutes later you see a sleepy heeseung walk out of his room. As if he was still drunk, he walks over to you and wraps his arms around your waist. His head tucks into your neck, chin resting on your shoulder, so he was basically back hugging you. “I’m tired.” He mumbles. You don’t respond, because your words are caught in your throat. You hum back instead, and keep mixing the soup to distract yourself. Just on time, your toast pops out. You walk over to spread your spread of choice on the toast, while heeseung’s hand is still on your waist.
“go ahead and scoop the soup into a bowl. It’s ready. I’ll be going now- and be careful. The soup is still hot.” You turn off the fire and smile at him. “ bye! I’ll text you when I’m coming back home.”
heeseung waves, “bye.” He winks at you. You blush as you head out. He smirks to himself, and turns around to grab a bowl.
For you, your heart is thumping so loud. Waking up next to heeseung, and back hugging you while making breakfast? He is driving you crazy.
.༶•┈┈୨♡୧┈┈•༶.
At around the time your about to leave work, heeseung texts you.
heedeungie- meet me at the park after your work is done
you- okay
you- I think I might have leave early anyway today
you then put down your phone, and tell your coworkers that you’re leaving early for the day. You go into your car, and drive to the location heeseung sent you.
once you arrive, you text heeseung that your already there. He calls you, so of course you pick up. He tells you to meet at the Apple tree.
you walk over there, and see heeseung sitting down on a picnic mat. He had a buttoned up collar, the first three unbuttoned, and a pair of dark slightly baggy jeans. You smile when he make eye contact with you, and he calls you over.
“what are we here for?” You ask.
“We’re star gazing.” He states. He looks over at you to see you smiling at him. He smiles back. “I’ve never been star gazing with someone before.” You mumble.
he looks over at you once again. “Really? And I’m the first one?” His smile is so big.
“yeah.”
“Wow.” He looks at into the sky. “Let’s play some games till the stars appear yeah?” You nod.
the night goes by fast, and laughter fills the air. “Oh look. There are stars now!” Heeseung exclaims happily. You look up, a see the beauty in the sky. You smile to yourself. you’re looking at the sky, while heeseung is looking at you. “So pretty.” He mumbles. He looks back up before he gets caught staring.
“Oh and before I forget, I need to tell you something.” Heeseung says. You look over at him, giving him your undivided attention. He takes a deep breath.
“uhm so- uh- ever since I saw you when I moved in, you were so pretty. No- you are so pretty. Oh- straight to the point.” He looks you in the eyes. “Y/n, I like you so much that my heart hurts knowing I can’t have you. I might get kicked out because of this right? If you don’t like me back can we stay friends...” your eyes soften at him. Tears start welling up somehow. You don’t know why you start crying- maybe you were just really happy.
“Nono no no, no- y/n why are you crying?” He cups your face before he pulls you into his chest and let you cry. After you calm down a bit, you look up at him. You laugh at yourself for your stupid actions. He’s confused why you had a sudden mood change, but let’s you do so.
“Lee Heeseung.” He looks down at you in his arms. “You do not understand how much I liked you when I first opened my front door. And no, you will not be kicked out. I don’t know what your saying, but you can have me. I’ve been all yours from the start. I want to be more that just roommates and friends. I like you so much heeseung,” You cry a bit more before looking up at him for an answer, but he’s just staring at you. “What?” You laugh.
you did not expect what happened next. He crashes his lips onto yours. You kiss back almost immediately, and that soon turn to a little make out session. You pull away first, catching your breath. He pulls you back into another kiss, one that’s more passionate. The night ends off with little giggles, and stealing kisses from one another.
once the two of you had gotten home, heeseung sat on the couch waiting for you to finish showering. He had already finished way before you did. When you came out, he rushed over to you and hugged your warm body. “I missed you.” He mumbled.
“hee, it’s only been like-40 minutes.” You state.
“I know, but I still missed you.” He whined. You smile at him. “let’s go to sleep yeah?” You pat his face gently and affectionately. He grabs your hand to make it stay on his face and nods while closing his eyes. “m tired anyway.” He mumbles.
you laugh at his cute gestures and then you walk into the kitchen. Our grab his cup and yours, and fill them both with water. “Drink some water first.” He waddles over to you in his matching blue Shin Chan pajamas and obediently drank from his plain black mug.
after that, you both brush your teeth together, and go into his room. It feels as if you’ve always been doing this, though it was the first night dating. You crawl into the sheets, and he immediately pulls you into his embrace. You snuggle into him, and fall asleep very quickly. He kisses your forehead. “Good night, y/n.”
a/n- sorry, I got a bit carried away… sorry my grammar is ass, and I didn’t care to check over it.. I love heeseung guys
