wrt that poll abt tone indicators thats going around.w ell first of all tbh i think some of the hatred for them comes from cringe culture. but second of all. some of the criticism is totally fair like there are a fuckton of tone indicators and sometimes . there really dont need to be. and the abbreviations can be confusing i try to type out ones that arent s srs or j. tho i feel like most of the newer ones were popularized on twt so itmakes sense they wouldnt be written all the way out

and like. why half serious or mostly serious or not serious when /j or /hj exist ? why /ns when it looks so similar to /nsrs, which means the opposite ? ive been using /s since like 2015 and /srs since like 2018 so ivegot those down and dont confuse them but i see why could be for some one who hasnt used them b4, why make it more complicated?

i like /g or /gen in theory- ppl have said its confusing bc gen could be general which i get, but for ppl familiar w tone tags tend to know what it means. genq is one ive used just bc. its fun to type tbh. and i think ppl get what it means but its not really Necessary. BUt genep and genc feel unnecessary when /g and /srs exist, and /gene is just, a word. that's just a word ! 😭

None of this is to rag on tone indicators (/genuine) i think they can be helpful + i am always being gensrs when i use them. i just think some r a little silly & a lot from longer lists are unhelpful Bc theyre supposed to make communication Easier and Clearer + haveing So many tone indicators with Different Implied Tones WITHIN the indicators !!! makes it harder imo. bc if theyre to clarify tone why should i have to fight for my life deciphering why someone went from /mj to /hj yknow.

Ya’ll are fucking wild here. no wonder why this rp has just been the same 5 people for the last 4 years. But I thought maybe things are different, maybe it’s changed. Wrong. Admin, you still make rules to cater to the admin or the “inner” 3 other members they’ve deemed “worthy”. You make rules that cater to pretty much you only. You dont care about how you make other people feel, as long as you're getting your way. And the members here have been so brainwashed by the bullshit either theyre too scared or too intimidated to say anything. You still find a way to corrupt people from playing certain fc’s you have history with STILL forcing history on certain fc’s. A history ONE player expects you to remember every detail to even if you don’t like the plot. That one player who makes SO MANY people uncomfortable, whether they want to admit it or not, who also just happens to be the main admin. The main admin who doesnt even do a god damn thing on the main, and then will make every excuse as to why not. Sarah, you’ve found so many ways to provoke, gaslight, bully, guilt or force threads, histories, plots on probably every single player here. It’s gross. You deserve every call out youve gotten. But I don’t even 100% blame you. I also blame most of the spineless people you claim to be your “friends”. Here they complain and shit talk behind your back but then turn around and lick the ground you walked on. But probably because you’ve bullied them into it. I love how you post this long ass thing from the main saying how this place isn't for everyone and if youre bothered, blah blah. Just say this place is for you to do whatever tf you want whenever you want, and be done with it. At least be honest. hi im the same anon from yesterday. ftr we are mutuals & we have been for like a long time but being on anon is more comfortable so! heres my point: a pan person has gone thru the same thing we all have (questioning until u find an identity ur comfortable w). they should be free to just Be that. why should a bi person the need to erase an orientation just bc there are overlaps & similarities? it’s not right and i dont even see how this can be a debate at all. Inclusion is what keeps us together

i just think that pansexuality, at its core, is rooted in bi erasure and biphobia. bisexuality has existed for ages and pansexuality’s have been to establish itself as the woker, better version of bisexuality. pansexuality’s existence, whether intentional or not, actively harms bisexuality. i don’t mean to sound rude, but being bi is extremely important to me, and all i aim for is to defend my identity against one that is, ultimately, rooted in biphobia. just because the specific definition you use for it doesn’t perpetuate biphobia doesn’t mean the identity as a whole is absent of it, because it’s not. it makes me sad because i don’t want to lose a friend/mutual over this. i don’t mean this with mal intent, i really dont. if pansexuality should exist, and as it currently does, it’s underneath the bi umbrella. i just, i can’t have a respect for a sexuality that either ignores its history of biphobia that ultimately is the same as bisexuality anyway. pan individuals are either aware of this fact, or actively ignoring the history of their own label. also here’s some quotes i think might help express why i believe they’re ultimately the same.

“Male” or “female” are not anywhere to be found in the list of qualities I find attractive.”

this comes from a bisexual contributor to a feminist/socialist website in 2002.

If you want to check them out further they’re in a post about bi history resources not far into my bi tag. these sources reference bisexuals who don’t experience attraction impacted by an individual’s gender, what is cited as pansexuality in your case. this can be included in bisexuality’s definition. i don’t want to think i’m antagonizing you in any way, the label itself is what i find issue with, not you. ultimately, i see pansexuality as redundant. it simply describes a possibility of the bi experience.

alright, i’ve never done one of these things before bc the only other time i hit a milestone like this was on my very first tumblr rp blog years ago, and bias lists in celebration and thanks weren’t really a thing back then. but!! gosh i have so much love for everyone i’ve surrounded myself with here and everyone who’s followed me that i really wanted to do something like this.

honestly, thank you so much to everyone who has followed me, i appreciate it so immensely! i’ve never rped in such a big fandom before, so starting up was a little overwhelming and nerve-wracking -- i knew there were quite a number of voltron rpers around and i was so worried that my interpretation of shiro wouldn’t be taken to by many either bc i have some disagreeing views and hcs with others and some of the main fanon, or bc he’s aroace ( and now single ship ), so not exactly shippable, and yet... here you all are!! it honestly means so much to me that those of you here like my interpretation enough to follow and stick around, and i’d thank you an obscene number of times if it wouldn’t get redundant.

this community is surprisingly kind and caring compared to... a vast majority of this fandom, and i love that so so much. i’ve been able to get comfortable here knowing that most people are accepting and respectful, and literally all of you have been so nice to me so many times??? even just offering to talk to me when i’m having a bad day makes me love you so much... i’ve got a lot of love for you guys, so i want to take the time to thank you and showcase you all.
