I’ve always liked Britney Spears, even when I grew up and out of her music at one point, but still maintained a fondness for her. I had her cds, video game, the Curious perfume (the first fragrance I ever bought for myself at 13) and always rooted for her when she was hurting, like I did with Amy Winehouse. Her book was heartbreaking, but also a comfort for women who’ve also been beaten down. She’s the strong woman I always suspected she is, and she’ll always have my love and respect.
