concept art I did for the city of Alinor in the Summerset Isles of the Elder Scrolls universe. I might be a little obsessed with these high elves...! If I recall correctly, this piece served as an inspiration for the Altmer city models in the Elder Kings 2 mod for Crusader Kings 3, when I was working with their 3D artist, AJ.

can we swim shame tally more?
Yeah, I see no reason why not. I'll start first:
"LOL! Look at this Mer who grew up on an island surrounded by water and never learned how to swim!"

Dziżybór was scouted by the Thalmor at a ballet in Alinor. Why him?
Playing the leading male role, the Thalmor saw him not for his grace and elegance, but for the sheer poise, control and strength he possessed over his own body.
They saw discipline and that’s how the dancer became a soldier.
Of course, his family told him to accept - they wanted to cosy up to the royalty and reap the rewards at the price of being racist, and ever the people pleaser, young Dziżybór enlisted.
It wasn’t long after, though, when he arrived in Skyrim, that he became so good at making people disappear that he decided to pull the act himself.
Ever the magician, he just dropped off the face of the earth.
Nobody knows why he did it. Did he enjoy killing too much? Was he ashamed? Or was he ready to jump ship at the first sign of land?
Truth be told? Only one of those possible answers was wrong, and to put it eloquently; the ends justified the means.
He infiltrated the Dark Brotherhood, and his muscle memory of people pleasing and social niceties kicked back in the second he realised what kind of person Astrid was.
He also betrayed her the second she ordered him to kill Cicero. He truly began to hate her after the deaths of Festus, Gabriella and Veezara. Betraying him in return, he could forgive. But the sacrament had not been performed for the others. Their deaths had no purpose.
His last words to her stung, laced with venom as she became the black sacrament. With nobody else around, he showed her his true colours. The viper under the rosebush.
“You were like nightshade; beautiful, bitter, deadly... Unfortunately, the only useful thing a flower can do, is die to prove a point…
So prove your point.”

"Forged with the looted gold of Alinor, this extravagant ship's wheel once graced the deck of a Sea Elf raiding ship."
--Description of a Sea Elf Galleon Helm. This particular helm is believed to come from a ship in Admiral Uhlchesis's fleet, who sacked enough gold to create a hundred helms just like this.

I haven't played ESO since 2021 because I've been busy with academics but I really miss adventuring in Tamriel. It feels like home sometimes. Going back to Morrowind, which was the first province I set foot in when I was a kid, really brought back some awesome memories.
With Necrom out for some time now, I can't help but be jealous of people exploring Morrowind again. During my Skyrim playthroughs, Hermaeus Mora was the only Daedric Prince I allowed my characters to ally with.

Has Taliesin been to the other parts of the Summerset isles?
Yes! He knows Summerset like the back of his hand.
Leaving home to continue his duties in the Thalmor was hard.
