Well, like with every other audition, I had 3-4 auditions and it ended up with like 11 guys in Dublin for 6 hours of casting at the studio where we actually shoot Vikings. And we were almost there, we just needed to get the part. They picked us and mixed us up to find the 4 brothers. I never really auditioned for Ivar. Yeah. I auditioned for the other brothers, but 4 1/2 hours in, they came down to me and asked if I could read for Ivar. And I was sitting there sweating, nervous. I had to borrow scenes from my colleagues and learn the part in like a half an hour. And I couldn’t remember the words for the first 3 takes. Then I got it right, and I was playing opposite Jordan [Smith] who ended up playing Ubbe. It was a scene between Ivar and Ubbe, and I remember thinking for half of the day, that I have no idea whats going down with this thing. I ended up getting Ivar and I think Michael Hirst told somebody about that whole audition thing – it was my eyes and my movement. Having a physical challenge. suffering from osteogenesis imperfecta means doing more with the eyes instead of the legs.

Favourite Ivar episode: S5 Ep1 ‘The Departed, Part 1‘. When they raided York, it was dark and it both Hvitserk and Ivar had a lot of fun with their dark behaviour lol.

Favourite Ivar moment:  S5 Ep3 ‘Homeland’. It was the moment everyone saw the man that called himself Ivar the Boneless and were terrified. Alex did an amazing job in his scene.

Favourite Ivar quote:

Anything else worth mentioning: 

Favourite next to Ivar character: Way too many to name! Ragnar, Athelstan, Ubbe, Hvitserk, Sigurd, Floki, Helga, Harald and I could keep going.

Least liked character: Lagertha. I mean I used to like her, in fact I loved her but after season 4 she changed into something I didn’t like so yeah, she’s not one of my favourites anymore unfortunately.

Biggest shock moment: When Ivar killed Sigurd. That was a moment I don’t think any of us expected to happen. It was sad.

Hopes for season 6: I hope a lot! Honestly I mostly want Hvitserk to find a woman and have a child and for Ivar to finally get over himself and have sex!

What will happen to Ivar in 6a & 6b: From the teasers we got through the cast we kinda get an idea with only small pieces of puzzles, but none of us will know much more until the next season starts.

What got you to watch Vikings: One day I was board and was flicking through Netflix when I came across it. Only three seasons were out at the time when I started and now I have to wait like everyone else haha.

I don't know about you guys, but I have a very hard time going about my daily life trying to stay positive. Positive about my future, positive about my friendships, positive about my appearance, just being positive in general. I just started up therapy again; it's been a long time coming. One of the most helpful things I've learned so far is that I HAVE. TO. LOVE. MYSELF. She said "I want you to find a picture of yourself and point out something you like about it. I want you to do this every day for a week." I was extremely skeptical at first, but it's been a week and I've noticed a difference in my confidence. In honor of that, and to push myself out of my comfort zone, I'm going to post some pictures I really like of myself. I'm going to tag some people I follow and invite them to do the same.
