This also is came out last month. Maxim is out of Early Bird, but Alexey is in his. However, I am not playing Alexey. You could set yourself up for his route if you want to play him by making sure you choose all his choices in the common route. I am still on Maxim’s route.

Most...? Many people would've caught wind by now 😅

Yes, I'd do the same in a heartbeat, my tiger 💕

Date Masamune was a man wherein I've read his route about 7 times now(?) and still never got enough of him! He is carefree, somewhat reckless, fearless, funny, fun-loving & playful, smart, open minded, a great cook, charismatic leader, terrible alcohol drinker, caring friend and possibly the sweetest lover who loves you for who you are... That him being an ikemen is a bonus! I know I've said this in many other posts before, but he's intially the last person I'd want to be in the same room with, until he isn't.

His route, too, gave me an emotional rollercoaster ride (I know other routes are more dramatic~) and it's been a long while since I've had read a story like that made me laugh, smile, blush and cry all the while; worth it. 😌

Special mention to these guys, too!

Arthur Conan Doyle (Ikemen Vampire) - *wow another flirty guy* seeing him getting flustered in front of MC (where she's given the music box) is a golden moment! He actually seems like a fun friend~

Leonardo Da Vinci (Ikemen Vampire) - Just his all around skills amaze me, especially knowing he's a polymath. And his relationship with Comte...? I do love seeing it!

Maxim & Alexey Morozoff (SWD Love Tangle +) - Love the contrast of their personalities (reserved & outspoken, respectively) and personally they're the best visuals in the game

Uhm... The rest of the warlords in Ikemen Sengoku, after seeing they all have awesome quirks in their own ways (truly, both the Oda & Uesugi-Takeda forces grew on me dearly) 💖

Least...? I'd say the ones I have little information on, but that can change once their routes are out!

But Shakespeare from Ikemen Vampire had an impression on me for hurting his friend Vincent oh dear sunshine and that's a no-no 😔 (I do hope he changes my mind soon!)

So, I finished Alexey’s supreme route (gonna go back and do his normal ending now, because I’m curious) and on this cheerful ending shot of Alexey & Julia, I’m going to post my thoughts on what I feel is one of the better routes so far. Don’t worry if you just want the cg without my ramblings, I’m sure someone will post it eventually. Heck, I could if you guys want. ANYWAY, Alexey’s route did something that LT routes rarely do - it let the drama come from the circumstances and not the characters themselves. Alexey and Julia were allowed to have a good, developing relationship throughout the story, because the drama came from Alexey’s job, not from him. He could die doing his job, but if he didn’t take that risk, then other people would die. We were allowed to see Julia and Alexey handle this situation maturely and, dare I say it, realistically. Combined with the backstory that they’d met before (although yeah, Julia only remembering that when the writing wanted her to was very contrived), it’s also one of the few romances in the series that didn’t feel rushed. Even in the supreme ending it was six months before they saw each other again due to Alexey’s recovery from his mission. The pacing for these two just felt right and they clicked together. But there’s always a flip side of the coin and in this case, it’s Maxim’s story that suffered. Because Alexey’s story was SO GOOD, but poor Maxim had a forgettable route that seemed to be designed just to hype Alexey’s route. Heck, Julia having history with Alexey is mentioned several times in Maxim’s route just to tease you’d get the full reveal in Alexey’s route. It’s only been a few weeks since I completed Maxim’s route, but I barely remember anything about it other than “Maxim spends a lot of time worrying about Alexey”. This isn’t a shot at Maxim himself. Both characters are fine. Heck, initially I liked Maxim more, but Alexey having a stronger story changed that. And I feel like this has been a problem in LT routes for a while. Oliver’s route was focused more on Carter’s story than his, Ivy’s route was all about Will’s blue rose story, etc. The first character introduced in a pair is used to set up the second character who’ll be coming soon and that’s a massive shame. I think LT would benefit from going back to its roots in this regard. For the early routes, once you picked a character you got a story about THAT CHARACTER. If you chose Miguel, then all the narrative about Nolan’s daddy issues was dropped entirely, but you knew you could get that by playing Nolan’s route. Apparently if you choose Naoki you get an epic mafia story, which definitely didn’t appear in Carlos’s route at all. Doing it this way feels more fair to each character and fans who are interested in them. They’d never do this, but I’d actually love to see remade routes for Oliver, Ivy, Maxim and Earl to give them stories that belong more to them. Anyway, that’s enough of me spending way too much time thinking about the writing of an otome game for one day.
