This Just In: Alex Cyprin is one of the best LIs!!!

Been watching some of their POV episodes in S1 and I’m LOSING it.

ESPECIALLY THE “Forgive me for not putting love first.” THEY LOVE HER SO MUCH TO THE POINT WHERE THEY PUT THAT LOVE ASIDE, SO THEY CAN KEEP HER SAFE!!!

I find the Astoria characters a bit bland or incohesive when it comes to their designs so as some design practice, I gave them redesigns

Dragon!Havenfall MC AU Ideas

Just random ideas I have for this AU I made. — Poly route with Havenfall's Finest + Vanessa and Antonio. Cue JD making jokes about them being MC's hoard/real treasures. Vanessa NO this isn't like a harem anime JD Antonio stop encouraging her. — Grace is kidnapped and that sparks the awakening of HF!MC's dragon blood, because dragons are very Clan oriented and god help you if you fuck with a dragon's Clan. — That being said, nobody actually knows what MC is because the magic has only just started awakening. She experiences on-and-off heightened senses, and only in moments of intense emotion does she experience claws, slitted pupils, fangs, and the occasional spark of magic.

— Dragons haven't been seen nor heard from in a long, long, long time. It's got to the point that the supernatural world believes they've gone extinct. So when it's revealed MC is a dragon, it's a very big shock. — Turns out dragons have the ability to take a human form, and have taken plenty of human lovers over the years. And maybe a god or two. Probably. Cue Alex realising just why one of their siblings keeps smirking when asked why they called their jewellery store The Treasure Hoard when they (Alex) visits Havenfall. — There's a cult of Dragon Hunters who hunt down dragons for their blood, bone, scales, and organs for their rituals, and to also sell them as they're the most sought-after alchemy/potion ingredients. — MC would be partially awakened, meaning she'll only have access to some of her dragon traits. Come a showdown with the hunters who kidnapped her sister, she finally awakens it fully. I'm talking shimmering scales covering parts of her body, and slitted pupils and sharp fangs and claws, sweeping horns and even wings, and is able to tap into magic that's been lying dormant in her veins for years. — Afterwards MC needs a special magical necklace to help suppress her dragon traits until she gets control over it. However, dragon magic is quite strong so occasionally MC will have a trait if she's stressed enough. — It's only just the beginning, however. The cult has finally found a dragon at long last, and they're not about to give up on getting their hands on MC for their most important ritual yet...

Alex Cyprin is a demigod by way of their mother, Aphrodite. They're nonbinary and go by they/them pronouns. They've been in love with MC for longer than they'd care to admit, and though they're MC's boss, they're also one of her closest friends, having known her most of their life.

Thinking now of a tag @dark-elf-writes wrote on my mini Drabble: the playfulness of something serious and needing trust.

Cause it’s true. The situation between Melody and Alex is something serious. Melody is a Selkie whom trusts Alex with her skin. The bond between them is a strong one of friendship and care. But it’s one Alex does not diminish or ignore.

Melody’s freedom can be taken away. Alex knows what it means that she trusts them with her skin. That she trusts them to give it back.

In some of their lonelier moments, they wonder if it means more. If Melody ever looked at them how they looked at her. They brushed it off.

She trusts them. She trusts them to hold her skin and give it back. She trusts them not to consider keeping it.

She trusts them not to feel romantic feelings and so they will. Even if it hurts.

On the flip side, Melody trusts Alex and wouldn’t mind romantic feelings. She cares for them, loves them in a way few others could understand (she’s not human. She’s a selkie and it matters).

Her skin is the most precious thing for her. The most sacred. Her will power given physical form. Those who hold and keep it can make her do anything. Alex gives it back. Alex creates a bond with her that isn’t platonic. It’s not and she can tell.

But she’s scared to. Her mother had burned her skin after her first husband (Josh’s father and oh does her brother hate him) made the mistake of taunting her it was in the house where she couldn’t find it.

A selkie will do anything to be free. Including burning down the house it was in, destroying it. She could not go back to the ocean. But her mother was free.

Melody loves Alex. But she’s so damn scared because of her mother’s stories and because…

What if it ruins their relationship? What if Alex doesn’t feel the same way and the bond is just from Melody?

She loves oh does she love them.

But she’s so scared.

They have their ritual and the others know how serious it is. They know what it means so they lighten the mood with ridiculous behaviour in an attempt to help them. It’s laughter and soothing and the one time an asshole tried to steal the skin they all came down hard.

Yet these two, tangled up in trust and love, don’t say a word in fear.
