EA delivers big on an open world game to challenge top dog Grand Theft Auto.
So I like to open up open world games with map sizes if I can find them. That was a major selling point back in the day – it was one thing to make an open world but as gamers became more accustomed to them they began wanting more. Bigger and better as with anything else. So I have spent the better part of two weeks…
Revolution a 1985 film about the American Revolution. It didn't do well at the box office. Not all raw raw Patrioic like Mel Gibson's the Patriot. But in some ways that makes it seem more realistic. It is free to watch on Youtube. Well worth watching if you have an interest in US History.Liked it better when I watched it today than when I saw it in the movies when it first came out.
honestly love the Goncharov posts today. We are playing a massive game of pretend. We are on the playground running around yelling "pretend I'm Al Pachino! Pew pew! I got you Goncharov!" and drawing pictures as we keep adding to a collective mythos. It makes me feel optimistic about the world, somehow. May your paths in the streets of Naples be clear of snow.
ETA: I'm sorry I'm just super emotional about this right now. This isn't a "hallucination" this is people, connected only by screens and words and pictures, building a film that does not exist. We are playing and creating and "yes and"ing, spinning a wild game of Telephone into a grand feat of imagination... I don't know, it's just got this feeling of profundity to it.
