a sneak peek to tomorrow's daily drabble prompt! (a whodunit but will it go right this time? wait tomorrow morning to see!)

The night of the murder mystery dinner date at Mutt’s old barn, Twyla and Alexis met the guests at the door. Twyla in a dress Alexis once wore in her one episode stint of Deal or No Deal, and Alexis in a Hercule Poirot inspired suit. She’s holding her hat out for the guests filled with folded pieces of paper, all but one proclaiming their innocence for the evening. 

“Ohh-oh! Why if it isn’t Watson, my dearest companion!” Roland said to Alexis as he reached for his piece of paper. He was dressed in a matching deerskin cap and cape. “University, amiright?” 

“Rollie, I told you, the line is elementary.” Jocelyn came up behind him, dressed like Jessica Fletcher. 

“Then why can’t I understand a thing that guy says?”
