Do you like transcribing images for screen reader users? Would you like to contribute to a blog that delivers these posts to those people in one place? Do you have some free time to help our drafts backlog?

Personally I take the time to go through the drafts as often as I can manage the emotional energy to, but this is infrequent enough that the backlog has developed. In addition, I am personally really bad at describing photos and art.

I'll tell you a secret (it's not a secret actually, it's very obvious if you follow me but bear with me).

I created this sideblog expressly so I could reblog stuff with added descriptions to my main.

This has caused me to be my own biggest fan.

Anyway if you're inclined to do something like this I'd recommend it. There's nothing like agreeing with your own taste and being privileged enough to be able reblog the posts you curated for yourself.

Do you recommend using “Image description” for GIFs, or should I use something else? Should I specify it’s a GIF in the ID?

I personally use 'ID' and then specify that it's a GIF in the description.

Oh hey btw I still exist. I've been dealing with a severe chronic pain flare & I was knocked flat on my back for like 3 weeks this last time (it started mid-august though).

I try to keep up on making sure things posted by the other admins are properly tagged but I'm hopelessly behind by now. I'm not sure I'll ever get to the backlog. Sorry if you count on those.

I will put an effort into keeping up with new things again starting today, but I have to be completely honest, I have absolutely no guarantees to offer you about it.
