I completely understand seeing voting for the presidency as a joke. I live in a state where it doesn’t matter what I vote and the idea of either of those idiots being president again is a nightmare. Highkey hope they both croak this year.

But I am conflicted with the project 2025 stuff. Does this make it more important that we vote blue? Am I kidding myself in thinking that democrats being in power wouldn’t still allow the far right to do their bullshit? I’m just in my early stage of processing this and curious as to what your opinion is.

Here's a post I made where the most recent reblog I added includes screenshots from Project2025 and corresponding news headlines and press releases that show how Biden and his admin have been meeting Project2025 goals the entire time he's been in office.

He's been focusing on foreign policy where as Trump will likely focus on domestic policy.

Either way their chessboard is being setup and unless we completely reject the two party system then we're going to end up with Project2025 whether Biden stays in office or Trump gets elected.

Do not vote blue if your goal is to avoid a guy who wants to institute christo-fascism in the USA.

Vote 3rd party if you feel you must vote.

In all seriousness, I genuinely think our only option aside from that is a revolution at this point.

Democrats and Republicans are both right wing politically at this point and we're only told to compromise More to the right every year with democrats. Now theyre running the same playbook? After the DNC was already sued once for tampering with elections and sabotaging progressive candidate Sanders?

It runs too deep. They're too dedicated to their own agenda and bank accounts. We got to rip this rot out at the roots. Anything else is unacceptable.

and i received education personally on all of these topics before university. it was part of my education and the only reason i remember any of it is because I've never been indoctrinated from birth to disbelieve education. in fact, it was the EXACT opposite in my culture and because of that, I actually paid attention in class. and it's because of this that i know the issue of public education is much more insidious than people make it out to be.

it's not an outright whitewashing of history everywhere in america, they do teach the real history in expensive towns but are the children listening to those lessons and believing them? it's much more insidious because the RICH children who do listen get painted within white culture as "crazy blue haired liberals with an agenda" because the poor whites are in schools with the whitewashed history and poor whites distrust rich whites because of the economic oppression they experience as a result of the system being set up like it is.

like, i really hate what republicans have done to the school system so much, it's all just levels of fuckery that you keep unpeeling to find more fuckery.

The abortion decision happening after Trump has me thinking about things a bit.  Was listenin to Know Your Enemy and they reminded me that overturning Roe was the Big Issue during the Bush II administration, his was the time that the religious conservatives were supposedly at the lead.  The respectable and more secular neocons who were the big players in that admin were perfectly willing to back the overturning of Roe, and were supportive of the appointing of judges to that affect.

Now though it’s a little awkward.  The overturning of Roe has happened after the GOP stopped becoming respectable.  That makes the overturning of Roe itself become no longer respectable, in a way that would not have been the case had it been overturned during Bush II or Obama.  Some of those neocons have in turn become pro-choice.

Now does that matter?  Maybe it tars the anti-abortion position for the foreseeable future?  Does that respectability matter?  Who fuckin knows
