Ghostrick Lantern

It's Pyro Jack in Duel Monster form! I adore the unique take on glowy facial features here. Yeah, they could've just added glowing pupils to Lantern's hollowed out eyes, and maybe some sort of appropriate light source effect inside the mouth, but instead they went for: haunted cartoony face in mouth. Unique as hell I must say. Another fun feature is the dramatic lighting from the eponymous lantern. The highlights and shadows are genuinely done so well (even showing up on the hat's brim) that I kinda wish this guy had an actual scene for a background so that more of it could be shown off. I really am obsessed with the merging of detailed and cartoony in this card. A masterpiece (with a fun design!).

was playing fo76 yesterday, created a team and had a couple of high level players join, long story short I joined them in the daily op a bit later than they did and they were shit talking me over voice chat

Ride the Cyclone Kids and Their Favorite Musicals

this is based on an ask, which i accidentally posted before i was finished and had to delete! (if you saw that, no you didn’t)

i know quite a few musicals, but i’ve only seen/listened to, like, ten, so bear with me 😅

Ocean- CARRIE!! she watched a recording of Evelyn Hoskins’ version and was BLOWN AWAY (half because that’s a ginger just like her!!!!). she knows SO MANY fun facts about this show, and she’s watched basically EVERY version of if that’s available on YouTube (including TWO [2] Roblox versions). she can basically quote the whole musical on her own at this point. just give her a reason to do it, and she WILL. she COULD successfully pull off The Destruction, and i love that for her.

Noel- i know something more opera-like or “mature” would make sense for him, but i don’t know any shows like that, so i’m gonna go with an oldie but a goody: Heathers! maybe a cliche pick, but he really does enjoy this show a lot. he could KILL Candy Store, we all know it. and he knows it, too.

Mischa- hear me out: Lizzie. i can’t explain this one At All, i just feel like he would enjoy the music and story! he’s a Lizzie apologist and will defend her with his LIFE (“her old man shouldn’t have killed her birds 🤷‍♂️”). his favorite song is What The Fuck!

Ricky- Cats. i’ve never seen Cats, but Cats. also Portal 2: The Unauthorized Musical! technically not a REAL musical, it’s a fan show, BUT it still counts, and he thinks it’s great!! he doesn’t like the lowkey romance between Chell and Wheatley (as he should 😤), but it’s a very entertaining show, and he loves it a lot! plus, he thinks that it’s cool that Chell is legitimately played mute (aside from when she sings) and only has two (2) spoken lines in the whole show! (i haven’t watched the musical in awhile, but i think they’re both “apple”)

Penny- Beetlejuice! this musical is her comfort show, and she loves it a lot. it always turns her into a giggling mess when she watches it. she’s a big fan of the movie, too!

Constance- The Prom! gay people. enough said. also she thinks Angie is hot.
