An eerie silence hangs over the landscape left by the Wooroloo bushfire north east of Perth which scorched 11,000ha and destroyed at least 87 homes, thankfully all lives were spared and one can only be amazed by, and hugely grateful for the courage of those who stood in the face of this furnace, thank you 🙏

After a short stint studying jazz clarinet at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, she went on to pursue radio as a traffic reporter in Perth and Melbourne before ‘learning the tools’ as 98five’s Drive announcer. Wooed by the beauty and history of WA’s oldest port, Christine moved to ABC Albany where she presented regional Breakfast and Mornings, statewide Afternoons and Drive whilst also producing a number of national programs. A keen lindy hop dancer and teacher, she recently returned to Perth with her husband to give birth to daughter Bonnie, currently her #1 listener. Christine now hosts ABC Perth’s Saturday Breakfast program. After a 20-year struggle with pelvic pain and dyspareunia, she was recently diagnosed with deep infiltrating endometriosis. #Repost @abcperth with @make_repost ・・・ WA police have issued an appeal for a driver and persons who may have been in a vehicle seen in the vicinity of where four-year-old Cleo Smith disappeared a week ago. ~ Police say the vehicle turned out of Blowholes Road and turned south towards Carnarvon in WA’s Gasgoyne region between 3am and 3.30 am last Saturday morning. ~ Police say witnesses have described the car just as a passenger vehicle, and they would like them to come forward. ~ "We want to know who they were and what they were doing," Detective Superintendent Rod Wilde said. ~ At an earlier press conference, WA Police Commissioner Chris Dawson urged anyone with information about Cleo to contact police. ~ "We do believe that someone knows something.
