more (old) redraws I’ve done of Cashmere and their parents, I may reredraw these again at some point (not any time soon), I’m not entirely proud of how the old redraw turned out (especially the one with Cashmere and their mother) but it is what it is

the first two drawings are from june 2021, the redraw of Cashmere and their mother is from may 2022 and the one of him and his father is from july 2022

how 'jet is the avatar' could play out:

aang lives in the iceberg for twenty years, until his body gives out and he dies.

hama is born.

hama is the avatar, and she is forced to hide this; she is captured by azulon, and eventually dies in prison. as far as anyone is concerned, the avatar died with roku.

jet is born.

he shows no signs of bending.

when he is eight the rough rhinos travel to his village. they burn it to the ground, hoping to wipe out any earthbenders or defiance.

jet is the only survivor, and he lives because firebenders are partially fireproof. there in the ashes of his home, he bends for the first time; he bends the fire away from him, and he bends earth so he can hide.

when he realises he can firebend, he throws up.

he runs away with only one thing on his mind: learn bending, and kill the fire lord.

he finds several friends along the way: the freedom fighters, as in canon. he also finds haru.

they travel around the earth kingdom, jet looking for bending teachers and stopping fire nation soldiers along the way.

he ends up in the south pole at one point, and picks up sokka and katara. they all travel to the north, looking for a waterbending teacher.

pakku is not a misogynist because fuck you! he is however still a bit of a git and jet remedies this by outsmarting him with bending. pakku does not know this is the avatar. he does not expect to be drenched in water. sokka thinks this is hilarious.

jet absolutely does not learn the elements in order. he learns waterbending first, then goes back to the earth kingdom to learn earthbending. in that time he finds survivors of the air nomad genocide. they agree to teach him airbending.

he refuses to learn firebending for years. it saved his life, but it killed his loved ones.

eventually, his hand is forced. in ba sing se, he (unfortunately) meets a firebender. turns out the firebender in question is the prince of the fire nation??? anyway jet punches him in the dick but is unfortunately forced to firebend to defend himself. he resolves to learn firebending properly, if only so he can make fun of that prince.

he does.

it's hilarious. sokka redraws it out later and haru, who is in fact a very good artist, reredraws it.

ozai is a miserable coward. jet is a feminist icon. ozai has terrible facial hair. jet does not. naturally, ozai loses.
