From someone who's almost always writing and has done plenty of editing work on their own stuff and other people's stuff, I am here to tell you, fellow writers; You will never catch all your typos and grammar mistakes in your own writing.

I actually don’t mind if you repost my art, especially with credit or links. BUT I still encourage everyone to be mindful that not all artists feel this way, and I think it’s best to go by their wishes for the ways they like their work to be seen! I used to feel a little more prickly about it, but in my years away from this blog, my profile has kinda been raised to the extent that I’m pretty easy to Google. Additionally, when someone steals or knocks off my professional work for their own profit, my publisher deals with it (there are so many knock-off Star Spinner Tarot decks out there, it’s astonishing). So for me, personally, I can be very Meh, Whatever about it when it comes to my own work. But properly crediting the work of artists–especially newer artists who maybe haven’t been published yet and are in the process of building their portfolios–is incredibly helpful! It helps editors and collaborators find their work, and sometimes artists prefer to know that their work is being shared in channels where they have agency over monitoring its social media footprint.
TL;DR you can repost my work for personal use or enjoyment or whatever, I don’t care; HOWEVER please do be mindful that other artists will feel differently about how their work is reposted, and please follow their lead when it comes to their own work.

i don't know if people who haven't read the kickstarter update are aware of this, but the (double-length) pilot episode of the magnus protocol will be made available to kickstarter backers and rusty quill patrons in october, while the public release (which will then be followed by regular weekly episodes) won't be until january 2024. so if you haven't backed the kickstarter and don't support rusty quill on patreon, but you do want to listen to the pilot ahead of time, it might be a good idea to become a rusty quill patron in october! (you can always cancel afterwards, if you want.) the digital premiere will be available at the knights and nobles tiers, which start at £4.50 a month according to their website.

Another thing kind of in a similar vein to that last post: I really can't stress enough that if you are the cool family member that hangs out with the kids, don't ever stop doing that, even as they get older. I feel like for a lot of people it's really easy to bond with little kids cause well they're little kids! they think just about anything you could do is cool! and it's maybe a little easier to keep them entertained with simple games. But then as they start getting older like 8, 10, 12, etc, people tend to draw back more and not interact as much, which is absolutely the worst thing to do honestly. Kids at that age Are getting more self aware and maybe a little more self conscious and they Are trying to figure out their place in the world so maybe they don't play all the exact same games they used to, but I bet they still loving playing games!! And given the chance, I bet they would love the fact that they get to play with YOU, their old friend, even more. You might have to work a little bit harder to get them to warm up to you again at first, especially if they don't get to see you very often, but once you get past that they're gonna fall into the same habits around you that they always have and honestly, it's gonna be such a relief for THEM that they are able to act that way with you. You end up being something they can count on, a constant even as they change and grow and an opportunity to let loose a bit as they settle into themselves as people. And if you keep that up alllllll throughout their childhood and alllllll throughout their time as teens, you're gonna end up with a really great relationship that will probably last for the rest of your lives. So yeah, keep being there for all the kids in your life, especially the ones in the awkward phases!!! It may be years down the line, but they'll thank you for it one day, and I promise you'll both cherish that time forever and forever

on the topic of the touchscreens-for-heavy-machinery trend: i have one of those touch controlled stovetops. not technically a touchscreen, i know, but it is completely buttonless. and it's the dumbest thing ever. it's easy to clean and that's literally the only advantage.
first of all, the "buttons" are way too close to the part that gets hot, and since its all one single slab of glass you regularly have to touch hot buttons if you want to turn down the heat 😐
second of all, it is completely unintuitive. turning the heat up or down quickly is literally impossible. instead of just turning a knob you have to *beep* unlock the controls, then *beep* select the right ✨cooking zone✨, then *beep beep beep* tap the plus or minus and *beep* lock it again so it doesn't do anything you don't want it to do.
which brings me to my third and most important point 🤓 THE TOUCH CONTROLS CAN BE ACTIVATED BY LITERALLY ANYTHING. i cant even tell you how many times ive turned the stove off WHILE COOKING because a drop of water touched the power button. for some reason the lock button only locks the plus/minus buttons, not the power button. and yes, anything you put on the stove when it's off can potentially TURN IT ON. the other day i dropped a bag of sliced bread on there and it registered as a long press, unlocked the controls, and the thing turned on 🌝 thankfully i heard the beep but if i hadn't, it could've started a fire. just this morning the same thing happened with a fucking carrot 🥕

[Y'all need to start telling me who you're leaving these roses for, 'cause I am not as smart as some of my muses and I really don't wanna just leave the recipients for these to RNGesus the way I usually do non-specified memes XD]

I'm going to be honest. everything's kind of a disaster right now real life wise and going to get worse this weekend on, so I'm just apologizing in advance if i might seem quiet or not as enthusiastic or a bit off or anything like that. I'll do my best to not let it effect anything here (outside of maybe posting more or a little less depending how im doing each day) but, i promise its nothing here or any of you, i love and adore all of you and being here brings me great joy. I just wanted to give a little heads up

There will be no joy!
Android reader who is constantly reminded that he's not human
Android reader having a particularly bad day and tearing into his "flesh" in a state of instability
it hurts but only for a second, his nerves are only synthetic skin deep and it only further drives in the truth that he's not human
The liquid that flows in his body isn't blood
It's not red but a mixture of cobalt blue and glowing azure
He's then reminded that his body isn't really a body
It's a machine
Stone brain thinks with chemical markers and hormones
He software runs on code
He can't even cry as an emotional reaction
He can only cry when there is something clouding his vision
So he screams
Quick question anon, are you okay?
Also another question, no judgement here, are you the anon who sent an ask weeks ago about Vampire King!Reader crying over the fact that he'd one day outlive Kali and Stone?

Only on here very sporadically these days. Going through some stuff, and Tumblr has become a chore to keep up with -.-;
I'm not leaving or anything, and I'll check in now and then, but...yeah. That's where I'm at right now.

i realize i have a handful of mutuals i have not reached out to yet and it's a real struggle because i haven't had the energy to, and i hate to reach out only for the convo to fall flat because i simply don't have the energy.
i do always follow with the intention to write together though, so i encourage those i haven't interacted with that if you see a meme call or a starter call out there from me,or an open that interests you, don't hesitate to like it / interact! i know i say that i'm plot centric but, that's not something that has to happen right off the bat in order to have interactions. i'm a low activity blog , so i am not always on the dash and miss quite a lot, but when i do catch them, i'll make sure to reciprocate by sending a meme or liking any of your calls.
