Moving In

The Greylands came to help Eden get settled in at Foxbury (except Zora, who remembered her last boring visit to campus and didn't want a reprise). But no one was more excited and proud than Estella, who couldn't help but break out into song:

(all she was missing was her white handkerchief)

It looks like a promising start to freshman year: Eden's got a spacious double in Tidal Towers, and her new roommate Valentina seems nice.

All heads swivelled in the direction of the piping voice.

(Of course. Sims who struggle to sit down and pay attention to a ceremony will somehow get annoyed when a child talks.)

It was Ethan's little niece, Brynlee. I guess she was just excited to be in beautiful Sulani, or maybe she was happy to see one of her classmates, but at any rate, she ran up to greet Jude enthusiastically.

However, he was sitting next to his intimidating Aunt Marilyn and felt nervous to call attention to himself.

Saturday dawned, damp and grey. Charlotte arrived to treat Eden to a college acceptance/early graduation shopping trip.

College Tours 2.0

The next Saturday, the family spent over an hour touring the Foxbury campus behind (in front of?) a backwards-walking, continuously-talking, Cameron Fletcher.

The older girls perked up most at the sight of the sprawling and vibrant Commons. But little Zora - who does not play with her food and who had a tedious day - wandered off in search of a snack.

Eden's friends came over and they immediately trooped to her room to finish getting ready before heading over to Willow Creek for the music festival that was being promoted everywhere.

Zora thought it sounded like fun, but as soon as she heard Estella say "ask your sister," she knew she didn't stand a chance.

On Saturday, Coach Butlaire had the kids practice out in the Spice District to familiarize them with the environment and the court before they would come up against the legendary Timberwolves there the next weekend.

"Nice one, bud!" a familiar voice shouted as Jude executed a beautiful jump shot.

Eyes shining, he pushed back the hair plastered to his forehead and looked up to see his Auntie Ida hurrying across the street.

She joined her sister and sister-in-law on the sidelines to watch the kids play. "Y'all didn't tell me you'd be here today!"

So Jude signed up for the Magnolia Elementary School Bears. At the kids’ first practice, Maliyah & Estella enjoyed reconnecting, while Esi took the opportunity to relive her glory days.
