Movie Preview: Rockwell and Roman star in a Brit period piece murder mystery/farce -- "See How They Run"
Movie Preview: Rockwell and Roman star in a Brit period piece murder mystery/farce — “See How They Run”
This isn’t the 1940s British play of the same title, although am characters name, Inspector Stoddard, hints at perhaps its inspiration.
It stars Sam Rockwell, Saoirse Ronan and Adrien Brody about is about time cast of an about to film murder mystery who start dying.
Hilariously set in the 1950s, a touch of “Knives Out” magic is what they’re hoping for.
Sept. 30.

On Saturday, Coach Butlaire had the kids practice out in the Spice District to familiarize them with the environment and the court before they would come up against the legendary Timberwolves there the next weekend.
"Nice one, bud!" a familiar voice shouted as Jude executed a beautiful jump shot.
Eyes shining, he pushed back the hair plastered to his forehead and looked up to see his Auntie Ida hurrying across the street.
She joined her sister and sister-in-law on the sidelines to watch the kids play. "Y'all didn't tell me you'd be here today!"

Jude had had grand plans: after uncovering an ancient mystery, they were going to catch fish and roast them over the fire. They'd tell stories before sleeping peacefully under the tent they'd pitched.
Unfortunately, nothing went according to plan.
Not only was there no archaeological evidence, they couldn't get a fire going. And fashioning some stout sticks into a sturdy frame over which to drape a bedsheet proved to be much harder than anticipated.
At least he packed some sandwiches as a backup.

The kids were a little disappointed not to find any evidence of pirate activity - no suspicious mounds of dirt, no codes scratched into the stone, no parchment wedged into a crack. But, they figured, they had plenty of time for more discoveries since they were going to camp out.
While Jude tried to start a fire with what he was pretty sure was a piece of flint, Brody and Adriana tried to identify constellations.
"There's Orion. You can always tell it's him because of his sword and belt."
"Hmm. Looks like it's a full moon tonight," noted Brody. "You know what that means..."
Adriana shifted uncomfortably.

The kids walked beside the road for what seemed to them a long time, dodging the occasional car and periodically stopping to make sure Jude knew where he was going.
And then suddenly a massive stone structure loomed in front of them.
"Whoa..." Brody breathed.
"See? I told you it was awesome!"
"What do you think it used to be?"
"A castle?" Adriana supplied helpfully.
"No, it's way too small to be a castle." Jude shook his head confidently. "I think pirates used to use it as a lookout tower. Maybe they sailed up this river back in the olden times!"
"I wonder where that light's coming from?"
"I'm gonna go investigate." Determined, Brody marched to the edge of the ruins to begin exploring.

At the bridge, Jude stopped striding and rounded on his friends meaningfully. "This line marks the point of no return! Are you sure you're up for this?"
Adriana and Brody just smiled back, a glimmer of excitement in their eyes.

"So?" blurted Brody. "What's this super secret, amazing discovery you found?"
Jude glanced at his friends mysteriously. "Yes. I'm glad you both could make it. I discovered something amazing while I was exploring earlier. It'll take us a while to get there, but don't worry - I've got all the supplies we'll need."
