Demon Prince Ichigo x Prima Ballerina Orihime

Saint Petersburg, Russia, 1824. Prince Ichigo Kurosaki has become bored of life as a demon hiding amongst Russian nobility. Indifferent to hunting down the souls of the wicked, bored of high expectations, and secretly longing to experience human emotion, Ichigo turns to the world of the theatre in the hopes of finding some joy in his empty life. One night, when he attends a production of Bossi’s Flore et Zéphire at the Mariinsky Theatre, he finds himself completely and utterly fascinated by the beautiful prima ballerina in the heroine’s role: Orihime Inoue, a rising star with the Mariinsky Ballet. Enchanted by her grace and beauty, and feeling an unfamiliar yet wonderful spark of warmth within him, Ichigo immediately starts a courtship with her right after the ballet is over and the curtains have closed.

As a peasant girl from Russia’s countryside and a newcomer to the city of Saint Petersburg, Orihime is surprised to have attracted the attentions of the mysterious Prince Ichigo Kurosaki. However, she herself feels an undeniable attraction to him, and so she eagerly accepts his courtship and patronage. As they spend more time together, both within St. Petersburg and in the countryside, Orihime begins to fall deeply in love with Ichigo, having been charmed by his kindness and gentle smile. And Ichigo himself starts to see the beauty and colour of life as he falls in love with Orihime. Having gotten a taste of human emotions, Ichigo wishes to feel them over and over again.

But when his demonic nature is suddenly exposed at Orihime’s name day celebration, along with his secret romance with Orihime, Ichigo realizes that Orihime’s life is now in danger. Now, he has to protect Orihime from himself, from the nobility, and from the Church, even if it means giving up his life to save her.

current crumbs for my ballerina girl:

she is a student under guillame cellier, a former danseur turned ballet instructor from france. guillame had previously studied under jean-françois coulon and danced at the opéra de paris. she initially had no interest in dancing, but when her father was employed as the pianist for guillame’s classes, he had no choice but to bring her along since he couldn’t leave her alone at home and couldn’t leave her with anyone, either. she just sat by him at the piano for the first few weeks but eventually asked her father if he can put in a good word for her.

guillame didn’t usually take on absolute newcomers to the art much less students below the age of fifteen, but he liked her father, so he allowed her to properly join his classes. fortunately, she turned out to be a naturally gifted twelve year old and quickly caught up with the older dancers. her first principal appearance is as flora in flore et zéphire when she’s seventeen.

her mother died in childbirth. she and her family are considered middle class.

tentative name is susanna liu, might change the first name and stick to the surname. fc is jessie mei li!
