Ichihime week 2019 Day 1 - soulmate.
Soulmate AU, where everything's written by you on your hand appears on your soulmate's hand. Orihime is forgetful person that's why write on her hand what she needs to do. For example, go to the shop or library, buy some food, etc. All inscriptions appear on Ichigo's hand and one day he go to the library to find his soulmate.

Get Together
"So who do you think will be married first?" He sighs into his glass of beer, trying to keep his eyes away from the woman across from him. Trying to appear unaffected. "Not you, that's for sure," Mizuiro chimes in as he types on his phone. Keigo whines. "That's so mean!!! It's probably true, but you didn't have to say it so harshly!" The womanizer shrugs his shoulders. "Well, if I am out, so are you! You are too much of a manwhore to settle down!" At this, he snaps his head up to glare at his friend. "Language!" He warns. Keigo mumbles an apology geared toward the girls that are present. "I never said I wanted to get married, anyways. I'm not the marrying type...but Ichigo definitely is.'" His anger dissipates in surprise. "How so?" Tatsuki asks as she chews on some fries. "He gets protective over something so trivial like impolite words." She snorts. "That doesn't prove anything. Besides, he just screams ‘player’." He bristles. "What's that supposed to mean?!" "You are the bad boy of our school, basically. Bad boys don't just have one girl." He scoffs as he tries to ignore the silence from the auburn haired girl. "I have no girl," he states with a sip of his beer. "And he's no bad boy, Tatsuki-chan!" She interjects with an indignant tone. He looks at her now. She's frowning. And she looks worried and sad but also pleased. It's a difficult look to describe. "Whatever,” Tatsuki dismisses. “Besides, it’s obvious that Orihime will be the first to get married.”
“Me?” Inoue squeaks. He watches her as the blush in her face spreads.
“I guess you are right,” Keigo agrees.
He begrudgingly nods before he swirls his beer in his glass.
“What? You agree, Ichigo?” Tatsuki probes.
He scowls at the attention.
“I can’t?” He counters harshly.
“You can,” Tatsuki relents. “But why do you think that?”
He rolls his eyes.
“Like you said, it’s obvious.”
Tatsuki pushes him to elaborate, but he stubbornly resists. But his resistance melts away as he sees her inquisitive and pleading look.
He glowers into his beer again before he chugs it down. Liquid courage, right?
“Everyone who has ever met Inoue knows that she’s special,” he starts while he looks around for the waitress to order another beer. “So special that anyone would want to spend their life with her.”
He’s purposefully avoiding everyone’s eye contact, determined to place his order rather than engage the hushed atmosphere that hangs over them.
“You think I’m special?”
With reluctance, he meets her gaze.
She’s blushing. And he thinks she looks happy, but he’s not sure.
“Out of this world,” he confirms with a smirk, the buzz of the first few beers taking affect.
She grins in response before she looks down at her own drink.
“I change my mind,” Keigo announces.
They all turn to look at him.
“With the way he talks, Ichigo will be the first to be married.”
 *******************************************************************************************
Turns out that Tatsuki and Keigo were both right.

IH week 2019 | Day 2 | Rain.
Rain always equaled misery, sorrow, a dark unpleasant memory that fogs his mind.
Ichigo roughly closes his curtains whenever it rains, after giving a sad and an angry glance. Every situation that associated with rain was miserable. Her mother meeting death, Rukia being taken away to her execution, all of his family and friends manipulated and betraying him, being sent back home from Soul Society during war with every depending on him.
And he doesn’t think that will change anytime soon.
-
A date with Orihime has him flustered through the whole day and he’s a little glad Orihime is also a blushing mess beside him. But her beaming smile eases him every time.
“Oh no, it looks like it’s going to rain soon.” Orihime says as their date nears to an end. And yes, those are definitely black clouds, inching closer.
Ichigo automatically tenses and looking up, frowning instantly, “The weather didn’t mention any rain.” He mumbles to himself with a bite and Orihime grabs his hand, leading him to a nearby shelter. Just then it began to rain lightly. Ichigo purses his lips. What a turn of event... He glances down to look at Orihime. She looks...sad?
“I’m sorry. I should’ve checked the weather more specifically.” She begins, fidgeting, looking guilty. He blinks. Oh no, no, no, he can’t have that. This isn’t her fault. Ichigo immediately grabs her hand and gives a gentle squeeze, bending down a little to grab her attention.
“It’s not your fault - I checked the weather too. It had no rain.” He reassures as gentle as possible and gives a quick kiss to her forehead without thinking anything. Oh damn, he really did that, didn’t he? But he eases when she tilts her head up, face pink, giving a small smile that makes him smile as well. She was beautiful. Orihime leans into his shoulder and he rests his head on hers’.
“It’s strange,” she starts quietly, “I always saw the rain as beautiful. Until my brother passed away on a rainy day. Ever since then, it holds a sad tone to it.” Ichigo lets out a sharp breath, giving a slow nod.
“Yeah, I know that feeling.” Know it too well.
“But...it kinda looks pretty now.” Orihime says lightly and Ichigo blinks. Before he asks why and how, she already holds answers to his questions, “Because I’m with you.” His heart gives a beat and he inhales a sharp short breath.
Ichigo pulls away from her to turn his head and face her. Orihime is facing him too and although her face was red, her eyes did not waver. Oh. Oh. Ichigo does not look away either. He feels strangely calm and everything feels so natural at this moment. He leans in and she does too. They’re so close. He can hear his heartbeat quickening in his ears so closely, yet why does he feel so at peace? Their foreheads meet and they look into their eyes.
“I’m so glad to have you, Orihime.”
He is. He is so blessed to have her in his life. She blinks a few time, looking at him, surprised. He offers a smile. Her eyes shines with...tears? Oh shit, he made her cry-
“R-Really?” She sniffles and leans to his shoulder, burying her face. He can feel fresh tears on his shirt. She’s...crying?! ...Because she’s happy? Hopefully. “I’ve always been glad that I met you the moment I first saw you.”
Oh shit. He really...
“I love you.”
Orihime snaps her head up, hitting his chin, “Ow!”
“Sorry!” Orihime gently touches his chin and he notices her face being beat red. She avoids his eyes, opening and closing her mouth, appearing speechless.
“I-....” she swallows and he suddenly feels like he shouldn’t have said that - “I love you too!”
Just then the rain began to pour so much and so loudly that made her jump into his arms. She buries her face into his chest, hugging him around the torso tightly. Ichigo feels relief, shock and....overwhelming happiness. He places his hand on her head and he feels her giggling all of a sudden.
“Wha-”
“Your heartbeat. I’m glad I’m not the only one who’s nervous.” She says cheerily, all embarrassment gone. It was his turn to feel that. He feels his face grow warm.
“S-Shut up, it’s only natural!” He defenses and she looks up at him, grinning.
“I know! Mine is beating like crazy too!”
Ichigo huffs before grinning and hugging her back.
He turns to watch the rain for a moment; huh.
How odd. How...
“Yeah, the rain doesn’t seem that bad now.”

August 19th - Rain
I only like sad stories, alright.
-
Orihime was quick to catch on, as with all things when it came to him, the times he seemed to just pull away. Even if a little bit. It was less and less, the more time went on, but it was always there. It didn’t take very long to make the connection, when the clouds pulled themselves like shutters over the sun and it poured and poured endlessly for hours on end. She always felt her heart squeeze painfully at the look on his face when she asked, “What’s wrong?”
The answer was always the same, nothing was ever wrong and he was fine. He just had a lot on his mind, was all.
Those days, he didn’t really want to go outside. He never said no, but he never really said yes, either, and she was just as quick to catch onto that, too. Plans he’d made before the weather soured always fell through the cracks wordlessly and no one ever really said anything about that. She often thought back to the times before, when they were just friends, and he would so suddenly dip out of get togethers without any explanation. She had never pressed the matter because she’d had no reason to, but with her suspicion now confirmed she wished she had. At least just to check on him, to see if he was doing okay. To ask if he needed anything.
Now it was easy to see he always had.
The first time she approached him, she was surprised by how quickly he welcomed it. She had anticipated rejection, had steeled herself for it. Instead he took her offered hands, pressed the backs of them against his misted eyes and stayed there until she couldn’t help shuffling restlessly on her feet.
At first it became a time for reflection. They nestled into the warmth of each other, on the couch or the bed or the ground before the TV and talked endlessly about the sorts of things they found too difficult to tell anyone else. The rain would pitter across the rooftop and his voice would rumble through her, like thunder over the mountains.
But as the wet season approached, this became less feasible. It wasn’t that Ichigo couldn’t go outside at all when it rained, it was that he absolutely rather wouldn’t. He avoided it, mostly, if he could. On days he didn’t work, or on days he hadn’t promised to anyone, he paced within their home finding ways to distract himself. This became most obvious during the night, when everything seemed to slow down but the rain itself. Drawing streams down their window panes in maddening cycles.
Once, as Orihime fretted over the outdoor plants, she caught him watching her from the kitchen window. She had sloshed around in the downpour, unwilling to admit to herself that she had grown weary of being inside so many days in a row, attempting to salvage her little green friends. She had purchased a tarp, at the general store, just days ago and had only just now been able to bring herself to set it up. Perhaps too late. She buttoned up her raincoat and tugged on her boots and none of it had been enough. She was drenched in seconds, trembling so hard the tarp escaped her hands over and over again. But Orihime pressed onward, undeterred, unsure what to do with all this built up energy. The rain had somehow picked up, suddenly making it very hard to see her own hands in front of her.
That’s when he appeared, always when she least expected it (which was funny because at this point she should just expect that), always when she most required him.
Like a prince, she’d always thought, come to rescue her in her time of need.
But Orihime’s first response was not relief. It was not elation.
She told him no, and to go back inside. And he did exactly not that.
He was wearing the flannel pajamas she’d gotten him the previous holiday and a pair of slippers and nothing else. Nothing else at all. He pulled the tarp into place with such laughable ease Orihime choked back a tiny sob, utterly distressed as she grabbed his elbow and tugged him back inside. With a fleeting glance, she watched the tarp collapse again. She would have to head back out later, when the downpour ended.
She didn’t have to tell him twice. She ordered him to the bathroom and he moved wordlessly. He filled the tub with warm water but did not get in until she peeked in, but only after telling her, “Please join me.”
Okay, well, she wouldn’t say no to that.
When she sunk into the water, he gathered her hands, ice cold in his that were somehow still warm, and pressed their backs against his eyes. A habit she hadn’t noticed him forming. And then he kissed them.
“You don’t have to trap yourself inside with me,” he said, when he finally lifted his head.
“I’m not,” she replied, with a frown. She lifted a wet finger to his lips before he could protest. “I’m not doing anything I don’t want to. I just don’t want you to deal with this on your own. I know how that feels like. There’s no reason for us to do it anymore.”
That night he did not leave her arms.
In the morning, when she stepped out to fix that tarp, she found he already had. The plants carefully arranged back into their pots.
Orihime didn’t ask him to talk about it. He often didn’t. Bits and pieces came together over the course of months, and not always on the worst days. Not always on the days he found it hard to be out of bed.
In fact, it was a dry summer day when he told her, “I don’t remember who I was before my mother died.”
It was the kind of confession that often made one suck their breath in, grow clammy at the hands with the uncertainty of how to possibly respond. But Orihime squeezed his hand so tight her knuckles paled. And he did not flinch.
Did not look away when she said, “I know exactly how you feel.”
This did not prompt him to come undone with all the trauma he’d kept bottled in, did not drag from him the sorts of confessions only people as wounded as they were could understand.
It was the driest day at the heart of summer when he simply told her, “Thank you.”

Iсhihime shitty pairing happened because of pure coincidence since Bleach was axed by Jump. Kubo obviously came up with it in the last moments just to end manga impromptu. He didn’t care about it, that’s why IH was barely developed. Ichigo never liked Orihoe back. It was onesided crush from her since the very beginning. Pathetic thot can only cry and cling to him thirsting for his dick and attention.

1. soulmates
for ihweek2019
word count: 559
takes place in context of the pilot chapter, some time in the future. ichigo becomes a soul reaper and meets a familiar face.
            you- you know…
Captain Kuchiki assigns him to the same damn town for the fifth time in a row. It’s in the middle of nowhere, with a fairly small population and a disproportionate amount of hollows, and he knows it’s just to punish him for getting on her nerves. Apparently what he defines as an observation is an insult to the captain. Or she just finds him annoying.
But he can’t talk back at her, because of her rank and the fact that she wouldn’t hesitate to kick his ass, so he patrols the same streets. Checks the same haunts and finds weak hollows to slay. The only part he finds solace in is the people he can help along the way.
Nothing strange, nor out of the ordinary.
“Excuse me, Mr. Angry Face. Are you looking for something?”
i want to ask you a favor.
Ichigo startles, whips around quickly to find a girl standing behind him. Her head tilts curiously, blazing hair falling over her shoulders.
She looks familiar.
“What?”
“I said, ‘are you-’”
“I heard you. But how are you seeing me right now?” Confusion etches itself further into her face, Ichigo mimicking her unconsciously. He wasn’t supposed to be seen, none of the Shinigami were. Not by normal humans, at least. “Have you seen anything weird around?”
“Weird?” the girl taps on her chin, and shakes her head. “Just you. You’ve got a weird outfit on, and weird hair.”
            i’ll… i’ll be born again as a human, so…
She smiles sweetly, genuinely. He doesn’t even register that she calls him weird because she’s talking to him, a Shinigami. A dead guy.
A million thoughts run through Ichigo’s mind at once, all of them questions that he doesn’t know the answer to. How can she see him, and only him? He’s almost positive she hasn’t seen any hollows around because they’re big enough to be seen in a tiny town like this. There’s an ache in his chest, a pinch at the back of his head he can’t ignore.
Her spiritual energy is warm, almost comforting. Something recognizable yet unnameable.
He wants to know who she is.
A cellphone rings and both of them reach into their pockets to check. There’s a hollow a couple streets down, and at the same time she exclaims that she’s late for Laugh Hour.
He wants to ask her something. Anything. So he says the first thing on his mind. “Have we met before?”
Somehow her smile brightens, and the world spins a little faster.
“I don’t know,” she hums, then looks up to the sky as if it has anything to say about their meeting. The alert on his communicator won’t stop beeping, but Ichigo doesn’t want to leave without some kind of farewell.
“Um, I gotta go. But I-” He’s not sure what overcame him, why he’s so unsure all of a sudden. They’re both half turned in opposite directions to continue with the last moments of the day, both not yet ready to leave.
Before he can gather his thoughts, she beats him to the punch.
“If we meet again, let’s talk more, okay?”
His eyes follow her as she walks away, turning the corner and finally leaving his sight. Only then is he able to think straight.
And dammit, he forgot to ask for her name.
