The Blessed Girl [2021, fantasty/romance/adventure] - Watched first episode on 2/3/21, but idk if I want to continue it or not. Like some of the scenes I saw gifted but first episode was kind of boring and I fasted forward a lot. Dropped

The Blooms at the Ruyi Pavilion [2020, drama/romance] - Still on Episode 27. I don't know; I'm not really feeling it at the moment. ZZH and the secondary couple are probably my main motivations to finish this sometime in the future. I'm just kind of bored of it otherwise

General's Lady [2020, drama/romance] - Watched the first episode and started on the second, but idk if I want to continue.

Legend of Fei [2020, wuxia/action/adventure] - Watched the first episode back in January. Like the intro song, but idk if I want to continue it. The main FL's face is just bland and has 1 expression from all the other scenes I caught while my mom was watching. She also said it was just okay so idk if I want to invest time for 51 episodes of it. Dropped

Oh! My Sweet Liar! [2020, romance/comedy] - Watched Episode 1 December 2020, haven't continued beyond that. Kind of like the vibe and the scenes that I've seen in gifsets.

Painting Heart Expert [2017, wuxia/fantasy] - Started March 4, 2021. Yeah, Idk why I started a new drama. Watched 3 and half episodes, but idk. Don't really like the main ML character so could end up dropping or just leave until I feel like continuing again.

Under the Power [2019, mystery/investigation] - Started Feb. 4, 2021. Watched 3 episodes. Going to sound super superficial but main ML's not pretty enough to keep my attention/overlook his dick-ish behavior. Idk might come back later for main FL.

You Are My City and Fortress/You Are My Hero [2021, romance/drama] - saw a gifset and so started it 3/19/21. Watched first 2 episodes. Probably will continue. Finished 20 28/40 episode, Although now the lack of high risk that attracted me to the show is having the opposite effect bc I can feel myself becoming bored

Korean Dramas:

Man to Man [2017, action/comedy] - started 3/19/21 Watched first episode, interesting enough but don't really like the main FL enough. Probably will drop. Dropped

Must You Go? [2021, musical/fantasy] - started 3/11/21, watched first 2 episodes. idk again why I started it but it looks short and interesting enough. Only 8 30-minute episodes total so seemed like it's doable.

Queen: Love and War [2019, romance/drama] - watched Episode 1 on 3/16/21. Again Idk why I started a new drama but it looked interesting. But I can't have it on in the background bc can't read the subtitles that way and can't find the vietdub version of it.

Vincenzo [2021, action/crime/comedy] - Started 2/24. Finished first 2 episodes. 1st episode was hot 😆 Watching it on Netflix so with subs and can't have it in the background. --> Episode 3 4/20

Zombie Detective [2020, comedy/drama/fantasy] - watched Episode 1 on 10/17/2020 for Choi Jin Hyuk. Looking forward to it but just haven't around to continuing it yet

Currently watching/starting so many things but at the same time, don't know what to watch.

What a week!

Of course, you expect a lot of things to change when the Royal Rumble hits and the Road to WrestleMania begins. But what we got this past seven days from the WWE was simply amazing!

A huge crowd, solid storytelling and a surprise return that’s turned the WWE on its edge is where we begin for that fateful night in Houston.

Roman Reigns keeps his strong Royal Rumble performance going by not only defeating King Corbin in the opening match, but Reigns also goes nearly an hour in the Rumble match itself before being the final elimination by winner Drew McIntyre.

Then, in the women’s Rumble match, Bianca Belair makes her mark with a 33:20 stay and eight eliminations before being ousted. Beth Phoenix not only returns, lasting until the final five, but does it with a gutsy performance that saw her blonde locks turn red after being posted in the back of the head by Belair. In the end, it’s a tremendous finish as Charlotte Flair ousts Shayna Baszler, who eliminated eight superstars herself, with a leg scissors and flip over the top rope. Nice to see Molly Holly, Kelly Kelly and of course, Santina Morella too!

The Fiend outlasts Daniel Bryan to keep his Universal Title. You have to wonder if Roman Reigns is up next for Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania.

Not to be outdone, Brock Lesnar eliminates the first 13 men to start the Rumble match! Now that’s Beastly! In a great bit of detail, Lesnar gets eliminated after Riccochet low blows him (payoff for Brock’s RAW ballshot) and McIntyre claymores Lesnar over the top rope. The shock on Lesnar and Paul Heyman’s face is worth the price of admission. Also, I loved Lesnar’s “who’s this MF’er” when Keith Lee came out at #15. It’s that attention to detail that makes the payoff all the more sweet! It’s almost like we got two Rumbles – the Lesnar part and then the McIntyre part. Well done!

And then, there was Edge! After nine years away in retirement due to his neck injury, Edge comes in at #21 and makes a moment with his former Rated RKO superstar Randy Orton. It wasn’t until one night later that we would see the ultimate payoff in that one.

Star of the Week:

Edge and Beth Phoenix – How could we not give it to the new first couple of WWE? Both returned to the WWE ring with complete fanfare for their Rumble matches. Both showed amazingly well even despite Beth’s injury. Then, the explanation by Edge as to how he came back and subsequent dastardly, cowardly acts by Orton on RAW gave us an incredible end to Monday night and the beginning to what should be a twist-and-turning Road to WrestleMania in Tampa in April.

The return story – Edge’s explanation, straight from the heart, as to how, why and the struggle to come back to a WWE ring was perfect. And then, to have Randy Orton come out, reunite, hug and then stab his former friend in the back with an RKO left the live crowd and tv audience speechless. Then, a conchairto to further injure Edge’s neck cemented Orton’s dark place in Heelville, a place that suits Orton best. Can’t wait to see how this unfolds.

Drew picks Brock – Why drag it out! Drew wants Brock. Brock wants Drew. Let’s get to the physicality between these two heavyweights! The question will be how do the fill the six weeks until Tampa with enough intrigue.

Charlotte picks … no one – I, for one, am glad they are not trying to shove another Charlotte vs. Becky match down our collective throats. Charlotte vs. Bayley would be nice. But, I’d rather see Charlotte vs. either NXT Champion Rhea Ripley or Shayna Baszler. Those two matches have a big-match feel to them if built up properly. And oh yeah, BTW, interesting how no one came to Flair’s rescue when she was getting double-teamed by the Kabuki Warriors. Hmmmmm….

MVP’s last WWE match – Even if it was just for 24 hours, we got MVP back and MVP vs. Rey Mysterio, Jr. one more time.

What we didn’t love:

Bye bye Andrade – With his 30-day suspension at hand, you knew they were going to find a way to write Andrade off tv for a month. Humberto Carillo’s face-plant on the concrete floor does that and makes for title match down the road between these two in Tampa. Making chicken salad out of you know what there folks. Had to be done and a title switch was too soon in this feud.

Erick Rowan – broken record for the past countless number of RAW episodes. Squash match, no reveal of the cage. Blah, blah, blah. It better be something good in there!

Liv vs. Lana – After a white-hot wedding, this one’s fizzled out quicker than a candle in a rainstorm. Two minutes for a match and the boys banned from ringside. No payoff on the Liv angle with no story being told. Such a bad follow-up, but not unexpected.

Ciampa vs. Cole – Was it me or did Tommaso Ciampa do all the bad stuff yet still got all the cheers? Beating up The Undisputed Era, bullying his way to a title shot and then signing the contract in his own blood. Don’t get me wrong, Cole’s a bad dude too, I just like the tweener role for both guys who are not quite babyfaces and not quite heels. Grey fits them well. Hmmmm……

Balor vs. Seven – Was it me or did Seven look a little too good against Balor? Just sayin. Hmmmm….

NXT Women’s Championship – With no Rhea Ripley or Shayna Baszler, it left me longing for what they will do next. Seemed odd that it wasn’t even addressed, not even a little bit. Hmmmm…..

The end of Reigns vs. Corbin – Here’s hoping with the dog food payoff by Reigns over Corbin, we get the end to this underwhelming and long feud. Both need to move on.

Champion Braun – Well, it’s been awhile since we’ve seen the exposed turnbuckle backfire but it works to Strowman’s advantage as he wins the I-C Title! Plus, could this be the crack that gets Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn? Shinsuke can’t be happy with Zayn’s mistake that ultimately cost him his championship.

This Week in WWE History – Love looking back especially when we get a Rock vs. Mankind empty arena match from 1999’s Super Bowl to look back at. Halftime Heat was really cool back in the day!

What we didn’t like:

Super Smackdown? – I get that FOX wants to make sure that we know that they have the Super Bowl on FOX Sunday, but there’s was nothing really SUPER about this Smackdown. Good, but not great and no real surprises like we had on RAW earlier in the week. A pair of rematches from past Smackdowns and the Royal Rumble does not make a Friday night SUPER my friends. Next week, we get the return of the Dirt Sheet with Miz & Morrison and Firefly Funhouse.

Parting shots:

I know the Road to WrestleMania is just starting, but I wonder if we’ll get exits including The Undertaker or Ronda Rousey this year. Eventually, I’m sure, we’ll get the very final sighting of the Dead Man, but will it be in Tampa, Saudi Arabia or somewhere else in 2020. As for Rousey, I’d love to see her back, although it seems unlikely according to her social media game.

Welcome to RAW Tom Phillips. It was good to hear him replace Vic Joseph as the voice of Monday Nights. Nothing against Joseph, but Phillips is a bit more energetic for my tastes. Not so sure we needed a return of Byron Sexton though. Phillips and the King would be just fine IMHO.

Yeah, I’ve done the unspeakable and made one of these. However instead of an art summary, it’s a complication of things things that happened hence the title “Lbat1901’s Best of 2019”.

January 2019 - (I know that the pic for the January slot is to its side, but I couldn’t fit the full image without cutting most of it out) This was the month where I posted the prologue marking the first release of my Eddsworld based story, At World’s End. It was very successful and it is available on Tumblr, Quotev, Wattpad, Fanfiction.Net, and Ao3.

Also it is worth nothing that January saw the the prologue to Dropshot, an AU that is takes the elements to the High School AU but uses basketball elements in the universe that is Eddsworld.

February 2019 - This was the month where I launched my series Channel 7 Lucky Hour along with the first chapter to Dropshot. Plus this was the month were the first ever piece of UTFTF content was released

March 2019 - This was the month where I got bored one day and decided to open up Photoshop to make a silly edit of Patryck dancing to Never Gonna Give You Up. I regret nothing and Dropshot’s progress was a little lanky in terms of new chapters being released when the fourth chapter was released.

April 2019 - This was the month where the five and sixth chapters to Dropshot were released and was the month were the last chapter to At World’s End was published. Plus this is the same month where I gave everyone the first taste to Eddbusters which was a Ghostbusters AU for Eddsworld. Another thing that had happened in this month was I posted a rant about TBATF which blew up and has everyone on the Eddsworld Animo talk about the situation. I was the third person to make a TBATF rant and I am proud of it.

May 2019 - This was the month were seven chapters to Dropshot were released after getting my crap together.

June 2019 - This was the month were Dropshot gotten serious in terms of new chapter releases. It was crazy. I also posted the prologue to UTFTF on accident, but despite of it, it was successful.

July 2019 - July was the month where the plot to Dropshot was nearing to its end in an epic basketball match between Edd’s team and a team lead by the story’s true villain and his team that was considered to be very ruthless in order to save the world.

August 2019 - I know what you’re thinking, the Eddbusters cover art was revealed in September. Why is it in the slot for August? That’s because Eddbusters was fully completed and was in its editing state. The cover art was also made during the editing process and there were many concepts for it. I ended up basing it on the official DVD cover for the first Ghostbusters film since the story was entirely based on the movie.

September 2019 - Speaking of Eddbusters being based entirely on the first Ghostbusters film, even though it had the same plot, some things were left out to make sure that Eddbusters sticked to Eddsworld along the its charm and jokes. However nothing was changed from the main source material, so there’s that.

October 2019 - October was really a busy month in terms of new content being shared. First off was Inktober which I did some drawings for it last year and second, Eddbusters made its debut on October 12th which ended up receiving huge loads of feedback. Who knows, maybe it would get a direct sequel in 2020. A man can dream.

November 2019 - Nothing interesting really happened in November expect for Eddbusters still going strong and of course the release of Pokemon Sword and Shield. I even drew Inteleon for it.

December 2019 - The last and final month of 2019 and the ending cap for the 2010s. Main, where did time even go? Pokemon Sword and Shield had some controversy and I made an entire about the situation along with explaining the flaws of my beloved Pokemon Charizard, but despite that, I had a great time playing through Pokemon Sword. No matter what people say about a Pokemon game, I am still going to enjoy it. Oh and uh, December saw the last chapter release to Eddbusters and saw the few special looks into UTFTF which I’ve almost neglected.
