hello all, my name is smooches, and i am the owner of this blog! i'm your residential harbinger enjoyer of course, and also your local provider for soft harbinger content! (also angsty content if i'm feeling particularly devious.)
♡ my pronouns are she/her and i'm an adult in college. i also love anime and manga. my favorite is jojo's bizarre adventure! some other games i enjoy are persona and fire emblem. and otome games of course (been a while since i've played any though lol.) i've also been reading and writing fanfics for years so it's something very important to me :)
♡ well, i feel like this is a bit obvious, but i created this blog simply because i enjoy reading soft fluffy stuff with my favs! specifically villains. i'm sure you can tell i'll die for the "villain is mean to everyone except their lover" trope. so yea... if you don't feel like the harbingers love you to the depths of their soul after reading my stuff... clearly i've failed.
♡ scaramouche is my favorite harbinger (i've loved him since 1.1) though dottore might one day take over that spot 😓 [edit: dottore has taken over as my fav, i'm so so sorry scara] some of my other favorite characters besides the harbingers include the archons, they are my beloveds (nahida is my daughter ofc). i really love neuvillette too! :D
♡ i despise the heat. i'm a cold weather loving girlie all the way lol. i love to go on walks while listening to music! i'm a leo and isfj as well. i'm quite shy online so moots just know that i appreciate y'all very much even though i'm too shy to talk first 😭 in conclusion i just really like to talk about my favs so i hope we can get along and you enjoy your stay on my blog 🥰

Tumblr itself chose violence when it ate my first attempt at answering this when I was a good 800+ words in >:[ Trying again!
12. the unpopular character that you actually like and why more people should like them
You'd think that with a cast of over 40 playable main and guest characters, it would be pretty easy to find unpopular characters in 3H! But while there are many many divisive characters, I can't think of any that are universally unpopular. So instead of "unpopular" as in "disliked by most of the fandom", I'm going with "unpopular" as in "gets very little fandom attention" instead, which gives us...
Raphael Kirsten.
y'all I adore this big muscular oaf and you should too, because he is the purest character in the whole game (yes even more than Flayn). He is kind. He is gentle. He can and will beat the tar out of anyone and anything threatening the people he cares about, but only as a last resort.
He often gets dismissed as the simple-minded musclehead stereotype, which is TRAGIC because this dude has LAYERS. He's guileless, yes, and very unpretentious; and by his own admission isn't at all book-smart. But who tf cares, because he is so freaking EMPATHETIC and COMPASSIONATE!!!! He recognizes when Byleth is overworked and exhausted, and convinces them to rest and take care of their own needs. He understands that he's terrifying to people like Bernadetta, and does his best to be less scary. He not only accepts that Marianne can talk to animals, but finds his own way to participate without implying that she's either lying or crazy. He defuses Ingrid's scolding without getting defensive or angry (and I firmly believe he perfected that trick with his little sister). He teaches tiny Flayn how to B I G Y E L L!!!!
Raphael Kirsten is the sweetest, kindest, most caring person in the whole damn cast - AND he can rip your arm off and beat you to death with it. What's not to like?
14. that one thing you see in fics all the time
idk how much violence I'm choosing with this one because on the one hand the game does it too (for gameplay convenience) but on the other hand the game also tries to imply otherwise (for narrative coherence).
Travel times around / across Fódlan. Due to the way the in-game calendar system works, repeated trips from Garreg Mach to the four corners of the continent to fight battles are a leisurely Saturday afternoon activity. The game doesn't show or account for the amount of time it takes to move a whole-ass military force, complete with camp and supply caravans and dozens or hundreds of troops. And I see this happen in a lot of fics, as well: Faerghan characters popping over to Leicester for brunch and swinging down to Adrestia for afternoon tea, before returning to Faerghus for dinner.
(okay that's a BIT of an exaggeration, but i'm choosing violence here remember?)
Fódlan is a whole COUNTRY! And not an especially small one! When your main mode of transportation is your own two feet, or maybe a horse or horse-drawn cart if you're lucky, going from one major city to another in most of Fódlan is a multi-day affair at best! Even flying on pegasus- or wyvern-back won't make you much faster, based on the relative movement speeds of flying and mounted units in the game. The only gain from flying comes from being able to ignore terrain and travel in a straight line, which might be significant when crossing a mountain range or a canyon, but means very little if there are good, straight roads on the ground.
Anyway yeah that's That One Thing in fics, fight me.

I don't know how exactly it would work but imagine if you could play as any FE character you wanted in a little town populated by other FE characters and you can marry and ship to your heart's content
And just because I don't actually have to make this game, imagine the villagers and bachelor/ettes are any characters of your choosing. And you can be gay.

#32 What direction you wish this series would take?
I wish they would focus more on telling one linear story instead of putting so much effort into multi-route stories. The multi-route thing is really ambitious and all, but I think the quality of the games winds up suffering a lot for it (See: 3H needing to recycle so many maps to fill space). Either do it well or don't do it.

how the fighters would play minecraft: a tier list
yep, we're going here.
no one has any clue HOW or WHY joker and palutena are so good at the game but hey, at least they can find diamonds within 10 minutes of playing to make the gameplay go faster !
nah isabelle recreated an entire VILLAGE in animal crossing in minecraft. cloud likes to visit the world and jump off all the buildings for the hell of it.
speaking of isabelle's world, some people (k rool) constantly try to place tnt everywhere but joke's on them cloud found them doing just that and turned off explosions and now k rool's confused.
bayo and pittoo challenge each other with how many times they can die in one sitting. the highest has been 54 from pittoo, who found a ravine and kept running and jumping into it.
yeah, no our newer fire emblem reps and our castlevania boys are confused. roy, ike, and marth are just used to it at this point and play with the kids sometimes.
simon still doesn't know why everything is a block but he can't bother anymore.
since the inklings are basically snake's responsibility (he doesn't mind), he decided to boot up minecraft for the first time in a while (14 years) because they started playing it.
actual quote from snake looking at everything new about the game: "HOLY FUCK I CAN HAVE AN ALPACA."
sonic's, mac's, and pit's servers are literal wack. y'all remember crazy craft ? that series people would do where they download like 50 mods that would make minecraft basically an entirely new game ? yeah, that's their servers except ×50.
lowkey though, zelda and samus are thriving in their server but no one has realized it yet and they're thankful for that.

30 Days of Smash
On my Twitter i was filling all this in for the last month of hype before Smash Ultimate. It's out tomorrow so I'm gonna post all my answers from Twitter here!
30 Days Left. Favorite Mario character to play as? BOWSER! He brings the power and I'm all about hitting hard :D I especially love the new dropkick he picked up recently and his changed running animation. He's just fierce! Also, a 10/10 dad
29 Days Left. Favorite Zelda character to play as? SHEIK! I just think she's awesome. She's a ninja assassin! What's not to like? The new moves she was given too, the bomb and bouncing fish, I enjoy those. Sheik is just cool
28 Days Left. Favorite Pokemon to play as? That is gonna go to Greninja, no question! Another smash day another ninja, what are the odds haha. completely unexpected Smash 4 newcomer. I got back into Pokemon with X and Y and I love Greninja, he came at a perfect time!
27 Days Left. Favorite Ultimate Newcomer? Simon Belmont for sure! I'm not super experience in Castlevania, played only a few games but everything about his reveal and just him as a video game character has me super excited to play him!
26 Days Left. Favorite Echo Fighter? Goin with Dark Samus cause of how unexpected she was. It's super cool that Metroid has gone from having kinda 1 character (as both are indeed samus) to now having 3. That's rad. And Dark Samus, she just looks cool!
25 Days Left. Favorite Fire Emblem fighter? Easy! It's mah boi the all powerful radiant hero Ike! Brute force is my thing and he has that in spades!
24 Days Left. Favorite Fighter from another series? Well that'll go to Shulk. He is currently the only Xenoblade rep (hopefully that changes) but he is another fighter I greatly enjoy playing as and he's a great character from one of the best games of all time!
23 Days Left. Favorite Assist Trophy? THE BLACK KNIGHT! I'm so happy we're finally getting more worthwhile Fire Emblem content. I was super stoked just to see the Killing Edge, but one of Daein's Four Riders? Awesome. And he looks so strong! Is perfect!
22 Days Left. Most useful or favorite Pokemon in Ultimate? No one of them really sticks out to me as my favorite...a lot are really reliable. Think I'm gonna give it to Keldeo for this one. He has crazy range and he is relentless!
21 Days Left. Favorite stage in Ultimate? There are WAY too many stages to just pick one favorite. I mean, THERE ARE SO MANY! But I remember the Dream Land GBA stage in 3DS and being SO HAPPY to play on it, I'm so ecstatic that its back. That Kirby game was my childhood!
20 Days Left. Favorite Song in the Smash Bros Series? That is a ridiculous question. Nigh impossible to answer. There are a lot of good tunes but Imma take it back to Brawl with the rock awesomeness that is Tabuu's theme!
19 Days Left. Favorite alternate. Again a lot i like but i gotta give it to Mario's stars and stripes. It's just so good XD
18 Days Left. Smash 64 "main" Ah yes. Back in the days when Ocarina of Time dominated my gaming life! The Hero of Time, Link was my go to and to this day he's one I still enjoy playing!
17 Days Left. Melee guy. Well for the gamecube days the character I stuck to the most was still the Hero of Time, Link. No one could really pull me away though I greatly enjoyed Falco and Marth too
16 Days Left. Brawl character I played the most as eh? That was mah boi IKE! To this day I'm so surprised how unsurprised? I was he got into Brawl. I don't remember being super shocked. I got into Fire Emblem prior Brawl and I LOVE Radiance and Dawn. Ike in smash? Rad!
15 days left. My Smash 4 boy is SHULK!! Most wanted newcomer at the time and infinitely happy he's in Smash!! Woooo!
14 Days Left. Least used / most disliked fighter. Jigglypuff easily. There is no valid reason for it to still be here. And when he was revealed, dark pit. Still think he's a dumb addition
13 Days Left. Favorite Final Smash. I'm a giant Xenoblade nerd so the more Xeno the better. And Shulk bringing his crew in for the smackdown is too good!
12 Days Left. Most disliked or least useful Final Smash Peach's simply cause it doesn't do anything. Also Jigglypuff and ice climbers smashes. Just boring really.
11 Days Left. Favorite Smash minigame. Huh. Tough. I always did appreciate the original break the targets and board the platforms. Really challenging stuff!
10 Days Left. Favorite Smash item. The assist trophy. Such a Cool idea bringing in other video game characters for aid. So many cool peeps out there!
9 days left. Character you'd most like as an assist trophy. Never really thought about this. Since we got more FE assist trophies I say Xenoblade. Someone not yet in like Sharla Reyn or Melia
8 Days Left. Character I'd like to see as an echo fighter? No idea. We aren't getting anymore echoes so it doesn't really matter. I got nothing for this. I've failed you all!
7 Days Left. A DLC newcomer I'd want? Easy. Rex and Pyra! On the eve of Xenoblade 2's anniversary! I want the bestest otp of 2017/2018 of the best game of those years. It's that good!
6 Days Left. Who do I expect to play the most as in Smash Ultimate? Most likely Shulk since I'm a Xenoblade obsessed nut and Ike comin in after that cause the Radiant games are the best FE games. MONADO BOI AND HERO OF THE BLUE FLAMES
5 Days Left. Assist trophy I'd like to see as a fighter? That'd be Lyndis. Ever since Brawl where there were only 2 FE peeps s on the roster. She's a great character (betterthanallthe3dtrash) and would actually give some origin variety given again, 4 3ds characters.
4 Days Left. Most unlikely yet desired newcomer? TETRIS! I say it a lot. Very unlikely. Not so much personally desired but i think it'd be really funny in the best way
3 Days Left. Very first Smash Bros memory. I guess that would be just...playing Smash 64 with my sisters. Making up stories going from fight to fight and pretending blue Fox was Falco. It was a simpler time.
2 Days Left. Greatest smash memory? Idk how great but my first 4 man 99 stock smash. I did it on a whim in Smash 64. 4 DKs in kongo jungle. It took forever. But as the lives fell and it narrowed down. I realized how much time i truly spent XD. I've done it in every smash since
