A masterpiece, a fan's favourite, the film that defined my childhood! Magnificent pictures animated masterfully. Princess seeks refuge from a curse with a dedicated support network, curse finds her anyway, prince saves her. Let's talk for a minute how badass Prince Philip is for a guy who walks around in tights. Meets a girl, falls in love, ok. IS READY TO RENOUNCE HIS BIRTHRIGHT AS PRINCE FOR HER??? He's husband material. And Briar? The princess? People always say she's got like 3 lines of dialogue and a song and no agency but the movie is literally about everyone banding to help her out of a crisis, about her chosing to go back to the castle to meet her betrothed although she just met true love, because she's got the soul of a princess and the love of her kingdom / duties going with it although she didn't know she was a princess just 5 minutes ago. Anyway it's great

What's Opera Doc?

A farcical retelling of The Ring Cycle, this Looney Tunes short is genuinely one of the best animated films of all time. It has some amazing use of classic music, the choreography on the characters' movements are outstanding, Maurice Noble's work on the backdrops! (*chef's kiss* perfection), it's got one of Bugs Bunny's best looks, and it's truly a bit emotional at the end.

extremely amused by these silly Maltese thumbnail sketches for What's Opera, Doc. Noble says Maltese did a plethora of these to prepare, and Jones would go in and number them one by one, designing the layouts from there.
