Bachelorette parties are a pre-wedding staple, but deciding where to go and what to do can be a challenge for any bride-to-be. We’ve compiled a list of six unique bachelorette party destinations and ideas to help you narrow down where to stay and activities to do while you’re there.
While you may not be able to have a bachelorette party at these locations in the immediate future, we hope this list of destinations will spark inspiration for when travel restrictions are lifted and businesses begin to reopen.
Explore 6 unique bachelorette party destinations your friends and bridal party will love: 1. Park City, Utah provides an artistic bachelorette party vibe.
There’s no doubt that Park City is known as a world-class skiing destination. But in the warmer months, it’s a haven for lovers of the outdoors. The artistic vibe of this city with silver mining town heritage strikes the balance between relaxation and adventure.
Where to stay in Park City:
The Waldorf Astoria is located in Canyons Village, with Park City’s historic Main Street and Deer Valley only a 15-minute free shuttle ride away. The resort also has easy access to the gondola that will take you to the base of the canyons for slope access. If skiing’s not your thing, the Waldorf also has spa and golf packages, fitness and yoga classes, and outdoor heated pools — so there’s something for everyone. The resort has many room options, depending on what your group wants: go for a 4 bedroom bi-level suite if your party wants to share accommodations.
Westgate Park City Resort & Spa offers special bachelorette party weekend packages. Located at the base of Canyons Village, it’s near the slopes if you’re visiting in the winter ski season. The resort has an award-winning spa and on-site stakehouse, indoor and outdoor heated pools, and a yoga studio. You can even rent a posh two-bedroom villa or a four-bedroom loft if your group wants to all stay together.
What to do in Park City:
Park City is known as a ski town, but the warmer months also have something to offer: Slopes transform into mountain biking terrain and hiking trails. Yoga is a big staple in Park City, with Park City Yoga Adventures offering classes atop a paddle board in Homestead Crater.
For a fun hike for all levels, check out PC Hill. The 40 minute hike up is just outside Main Street. The summit boasts a great view of the city and large white “PC” letters that are perfect for Instagram pics. Deer Valley’s hiking trails are a good choice if you want the option to ride a chairlift up or down, rather than walk. You get the same views as the hikers, with less exertion.
No Name Saloon is the classic Park City Bar — head there for drinks on their rooftop overlooking Main Street. High West Saloon is the only ski-in/ski-out distillery in the country, so make sure to ski through for a cocktail or a bite. For stunning mountain vistas, head over to the St. Regis for a drink. Pro tip: the St. Regis has a celebratory champagne sabering ceremony every night at sunset. If you’re in town on a Sunday, check out Park Silly Sunday Market – a huge outdoor market with live music, food, drinks, and local arts and crafts.
2. Costa Rica is a great bachelorette party destination for adventure.
Costa Rica is ideal for bachelorette parties because it has so much to offer. Known for its “pura vida” lifestyle that focuses on the simple life and taking it easy, Costa Rica brings you relaxing spa and beach days mixed with delicious restaurants and plenty of opportunities for partying. Regardless of where you go, there’s a beach town that’s right for you and your girls.
Where to stay in Costa Rica:
Tabacon Thermal Resort & Spa is your best bet if you’re looking for an unconventional weekend getaway. Located in La Fortuna in the rain forest at the base of the Arenal Volcano, you can soak in hot springs and waterfalls naturally heated by the volcano’s magma. Other activities include horseback riding, zip-lining, and hiking to nearby La Fortuna Waterfall.
Arenas Del Mar Beachfront & Rainforest Resort in Manuel Antonio is situated in the rainforest right by the beach. The height of luxury, this full-service resort makes it possible to sit back and relax and never leave the property. It’s also within walking distance of Manuel Antonio National Park, so take a stroll and spy some toucans, sloths, and monkeys. Manuel Antonio is also the most gay-friendly destination in the country, and this resort is completely carbon-neutral.
What to do in Costa Rica:
Tamarindo is the best city to visit if you’re in the mood to party hard and eat well. It’s home to some of the best restaurants in the country and clubs open all night long. Sharky’s Sports Bar is a fun time with karaoke and El Garrito is the place to be for DJ music and dancing. For more of a dive bar and dance hall experience, head to Pacifico Bar.
Puerto Viejo is a laid-back Caribbean beach town on the side of Costa Rica where the prices are significantly lower. Head to this destination for a budget-conscious adventure with plenty of beaches, wildlife, restaurants, and even a few yoga studios.
For a more wellness-minded visit, head to Nosara. This small eco-minded beach town sports white sand beaches and rugged mountains. Take surf lessons or go on a yoga retreat at Bodhi Tree Yoga Resort nestled at the base of the Nosara mountains.
3. Scottsdale, Arizona  puts the party in bachelorette party.
More and more, it seems like everyone is headed to Scottsdale for their bachelorette party. With everything there is to see and do — not to mention the beautiful weather — it’s easy to see why this destination is at the top of many brides’ lists. Scottsdale is only 15 minutes from the Phoenix airport, so transportation is one less thing to worry about. This city is a fun mix of nightlife and spas, hiking and sun, food and booze.
Where to stay in Scottsdale:
The W Scottsdale is located in the Entertainment District, which boasts over 80 lounges, bars, and clubs to keep you occupied for an entire weekend. No need to worry about transportation — The W is positioned in the center of it all, and everything is within walking distance. When you need a break from the parties, pamper yourselves at the AWAY spa or head to WET Deck for a pool party or a fitness class.
If you’re looking for more of a spa-weekend or R&R trip, consider somewhere like Castle Hot Springs. Located just outside of Scottsdale, its mineral-rich hot springs pools and spa services in custom cabanas are perfect for a weekend of rest and relaxation done right. The resort offers excursions and activities for when you’re feeling adventurous, like horseback riding through the canyons of the Sonoran Desert, ATV-ing, and helicopter tours.
What to do in Scottsdale:
The New York Times calls downtown Scottsdale “a desert version of Miami’s South Beach” with the buzzing nightlife and opportunities for partying at any hour of the day. Similar to Las Vegas, Scottsdale has a lively day scene, with pool parties and DJs.
If you choose to stay at The W, you could spend the entire weekend without even leaving the hotel. WET Pool Deck, Shade Lounge, and Living Room Lounge & Bar are a few options on-site to fill up your days and evenings.
If your group is outdoorsy, you could devote an entire day to exploring and hiking the trails of Camelback Mountain. A day trip to the Grand Canyon is also possible — it’s under four hours away by car.
Or, if you want to have a late night, head to Old Town for free on the Downtown Trolley. Once you’re on the main strip, there are a variety of bar, club, and lounge options depending on what you’re in the mood for. Hit the dance floor at Maya Day and Nightclub for a Las Vegas club vibe. For a more laid-back night, Coach House is the friendly neighborhood tavern and one of the oldest nightlife venues in Scottsdale. If you want more of a swanky lounge, try The Beverly.
4. Take your bachelorette fun to the Bahamas.
Just head 50 miles off the coast of Florida, and you’re in a Caribbean paradise. If you never want to leave the beach, then the clear waters of the Bahamas are the perfect place to have your bachelorette party. Many of the resorts and hotels are adult-only properties, so the islands are well-suited for these kinds of groups. And getting there is easy — you can take a cruise, a ferry, or a short plane ride from Florida.
Where to stay in the Bahamas:
Rosewood Baha Mar on Nassau’s Cable Beach offers a unique escape for bachelorette parties. The group can do activities like yoga with flamingos, exploring underwater caverns, cliff jumping, or dining with your toes in the sand at an Airstream food truck.
Atlantis Resort, located on Paradise Island, is the perfect place to stay if you want everything for your bachelorette party located conveniently in one place. With its extensive amenities, beaches, casinos, clubs, water park, adventures and experiences with sea life, boat charters, kayaking, fishing — the list goes on — you’ll never have to leave the resort.
What to do in the Bahamas:
It’s easy to travel between the islands, so where you’re staying won’t have much of an impact on what you can do with your time in the Bahamas. Swimming with dolphins is a popular tourist activity, but the Bahamas are also known for swimming with the pigs. Big Major Cay in Exhuma — also known fittingly as Pig Beach — is the main place where you can swim with the colony of feral pigs.
For scuba and snorkeling, don’t miss Dean’s Blue Hole just north of Clarence Town. The second deepest saltwater sinkhole in the world offers pristine beaches in a secluded cove. Other beaches to check out are Gold Rock Beach in Freeport, Cabbage Beach on Paradise Island, and for a “wild beach” feel, head over to Rose Island.
Nightlife comes alive during the weekends — the weekdays are a little slower, unless you’re on Nassau or Paradise Island. Aura Nightclub at the Atlantis Resort is a classic option for cool dance floors and great music. Ibiza Bahamas Beach Club is a beach club during the day and a party spot at night. Baha Mar and the Atlantis both have popular, upscale casinos that are worth checking out even if you’re not a gambler. For an upscale destination bar with quality cocktails and views, The Dune Bar on Paradise Island is a good option for a classy evening out. Sharkeez is the iconic Bahamas bar, located in Nassau. Grab a frozen drink and check out their giftshop – the largest in the Bahamas.
5. Asheville, North Carolina is a great outdoors bachelorette destination.
Asheville is an up-and-coming destination and makes a unique bachelorette party option for brides who love the outdoors and good beer. Hidden in the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina, this quirky city is known for its artsy and alternative style, plentiful breweries, eclectic food, and gorgeous natural scenery.
Where to stay in Asheville:
The AC Hotel by Marriott makes you feel right in the center of it all, with its prime location downtown. Lounge on the rooftop bar and sip a local brew while enjoying the mountain views. This hotel offers a corner king suite with a spacious balcony — plenty of room for all of your girls to gather.
Located a bit outside of the downtown area, The Omni Grove Park Inn is a luxurious resort with elegance and charm. Ten U.S. presidents and countless celebrities have stayed here — so you know it has to be a special place. As a guest at the hotel, you’ll get first dibs on any spa treatments in the relaxing, cave-like atmosphere. The Inn also offers free mimosas, pools with mountain views, and innovative and locally sourced restaurants.
What to do in Asheville:
Don’t miss out on staples like the Biltmore House and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Head to the Biltmore House for a photo shoot on the grounds of this historic estate. Your admission includes a wine tasting at the Biltmore Winery, self-guided tours of the estate and gardens, and hiking on the grounds. Then, go for a drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway to catch a glimpse of natural scenes you can only find in Asheville.
After exploring nature and hiking to your heart’s content, head back downtown for some local beer and food. Asheville is a true haven for beer lovers, with several breweries in the area giving tastings and tours. Try Sierra Nevada, Wicked Weed, or New Belgium, to name a few. Or, opt for a multi-stop Asheville Brewery Tour to hit several brewery highlights.
For food, Jargon is one of the best. Located in a small historic building in West Asheville, it offers an innovative mix of new American cuisine with locally sourced and exotic ingredients. Nine Mile has multiple locations around the city, so make sure you hit up one of them for their Caribbean-inspired and vegetarian-friendly dishes. Asheville loves brunch, so make sure you try Sunny Point Cafe (there’s typically a long wait, but it’s worth it), or Tupelo Honey for traditional Southern food.
6. The Hamptons are great for a relaxing bachelorette party.
Just over two hours outside of New York City, the Hamptons combines a laid-back, beachy atmosphere with plenty of party spots. It’s divided into several hamlets, so the kind of scene you’re looking for will determine where you want to stay and spend the most time. Most of the action is in Montauk, if you’re interested in pool parties, beach clubs, and live music.
Where to stay in the Hamptons:
The Surf Lodge in Montauk has a laidback vibe, but is also nearby all the attractions for when you feel like venturing out. With Hawaii vibes and surf-themed decor, this place exudes the aloha spirit. They have a robust music program with concerts on site every weekend — John Legend and St. Lucia are just a few of the artists they’ve featured on their stage.
The Capri in Southampton is a luxury option for brides who want it all: a beach-chic setting in the heart of the Hamptons, private suites or poolside rooms, weekend pool parties, bike rentals, and an on-site restaurant.
Gurney’s is Montauk’s only oceanfront and year-round resort. With a private 2,000 square foot beach and five dining and drinking venues, your party will never want to leave. Gurney’s has The Beach Club, which provides the only beachfront restaurant experience in the Hamptons. Their spa is also at the top of the list of must-sees, with its ocean-fed seawater pool — the only one of its kind in North America.
What to do in the Hamptons:
The Hamptons is also home to more than 60 vineyards, so be sure to spend an afternoon rotating between the various wineries. You can book a tour or go it on your own. Check out Wolffer Estate, Paumanok Vineyards, and Channing Daughters Winery.
If you’re feeling like taking a more active adventure, Paddle Divas hosts 60-90 minute paddle boarding sessions or will organize a longer outing specifically for bachelorette parties, with yoga and fitness additions.
For dining, try Calissa, a bachelorette party-friendly Greek and seafood restaurant self-described as “Mykonos in the Hamptons.” Opt for their bachelorette party package, complete with a Prosecco toast, unlimited rose, a four course dinner, and more.
If you’re looking to drink outside at picnic tables on the beach, head over to Navy Beach where you can choose from their lengthy rose menu and have a sip in the sand. Or, go to Blu Mar for dinner or brunch in an Instagrammable atmosphere next to the famous Hamptons hydrangeas. AM Southampton, one of the most popular nightclubs in the Hamptons, is next door — perfect for continuing the party well after dinner.
Pick your favorite unique bachelorette party destination!
While it may not feel like it right now, weddings and large gatherings will be possible again in the future. Travel restrictions will be raised, and restaurants, bars, and hotels will reopen. Keep this list of unique bachelorette party destinations in mind for when the time comes, so you can celebrate with an unforgettable getaway with your girls or guys! Planning your Exuma Trip
Planning your  Exuma Trip?  Wondering what to expect, how to get there, what to take, how to get around.
Planning a trip to a new destination is a mixture of excitement and concern. Let me share my twenty years of experience of The Bahamas and Exuma in particular, with you, and answer the many questions that are buzzing through your brain like bees round a honey pot. Maybe checking through our list will calm your nerves, let you relax and enjoy this new adventure.
Exuma, The Island Exuma is part of The Bahamas, located south east of Florida, and is a tropical island some 80 miles long by between 1 and 5 miles wide with the deep Atlantic Ocean on the eastern shore and the shallow sheltered water on its western coast. Famous for its blue warm waters and its friendly locals.
Exuma Map
Exuma Weather The climate of the islands is tropical with air temperatures varying from 70 degrees in January to 90 degrees in August with only 20 inches of rain per year.
Hurricane Season Exuma is subject to hurricanes. The highest risk is in September and October and rather than risk cancellations many properties close at those times. If you are traveling during those months you should give thought to taking out an insurance policy against having to cancel.  In fact you should consider whether to insure your trip, whenever you are traveling, to cover those unforeseen circumstances, like medical emergencies.
Planning your Accommodation So planning  your Exuma trip begins with choosing your accommodation. You have a choice of staying at an all inclusive resort (adults only), hotels or rental accommodation. Resorts include Sandals, Lumina Point, St Frances Resort, all of which have their own websites. Then hotels range from Peace and Plenty, Beach Resort, Hideaways and Augusta Bay.  Then there  are many rental properties in Exuma and if you choose from the selection listed on the three major listing sites you will be paying a premium of around 20% extra. My advise would be check the newer websites that do not charge a commission, such as Houfy.com and VacationSoup.com or contact me   for  advise.
Planning your Flight to Exuma Planning how to get to Exuma involves choosing the flight as there are no ferries that can get you there. So you have your accommodation sorted, now to flights. Your destination is Exuma International (GGT) and we have direct flights arriving from Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Atlanta, Toronto, Charlotte and Nassau. For more information on flights with contact details go to our website links page. You must also provide evidence that you have a return ticket to your country of residence.
Getting Around in Exuma So you have your flight sorted and you know where you are staying. Next step in planning your Exuma trip is deciding how you are going to get around and explore the islands many beaches and oceanside bars and restaurants and shops.  There is no public transport in Exuma, you have the option of renting a car or relying on taxis. My advise is rent a car. I know its another expense but when you rent a car you can go where you want when you want. Sudden decision to go to a restaurant? if you have a car… off you go. No car then wait for half an hour while a taxi drives from the airport. Finished your meal?  Wait another thirty minutes for a taxi and be faced with a hefty bill. So rent a car.  For a list of providers and contact details again go to http://harborviewexuma.com./links
Planning Ahead for the Trip So now the dates are getting closer and its time to turn to the next part of our planned trip to Exuma. We need passports for everyone, are they up to date? Do they all have at least six month between the trip and when our passports expire? If traveling on a US, Canadian or EU passport do not need a visa to visit The Bahamas.
Skitterphoto / Pixabay
Drones If you are planning on bringing a drones to get those fabulous aerial shots, be aware that you need a license. for full details go the government website . If you do not have the license then your drone will be held at customs and you can only retrieve it as you leave.
The Bahamian Currency Note that the currency in The Bahamas is the Bahamian dollar but you do not want to get Bahamian currency for your trip, get US dollars. The Bahamian dollar is pegged to the US dollar so the rate of exchange is 1:1.  When you pay for goods in Exuma you can pay in US dollars or Bahamian dollars, or a mixture of both, and any change may well be a mixture of both.  Just ensure that when you leave Exuma you change any Bahamian bills you may have back to US currency.
Some shops and restaurants take credit cards. Some charge a fee for the use of credit card. Some places do not take cards, so have the cash available.  There are ATMs around the island.
Packing for your Trip to Exuma
Clothes So now your vacation dates are close and you are getting ready to pack. The climate in Exuma is tropical and dress is casual.  So pack cotton and light weight linen clothes. For men shorts are OK day and evening, lightweight long pants if you are more comfortable.  The most important item is swimwear, pack plenty, you will probably spend most of your time in swimwear. Ladies take some wraps to wear over swimwear when in town or traveling, locals will not be comfortable seeing you in a bikini shopping, take wraps. Another useful item is a lightweight windproof jacket so if you go on the famous swimming pigs trip, when you get out of the water and back in the boat, you will not feel cold when the boat speeds up and you are still wet.  Pack hats for sun protection, flip flops and water shoes so you can walk across rocks at the waters edge. If you are traveling in the cooler months like November through February, a thin wetsuit or shortie would be good for swimming.
Northshore of Moriah Cay
Electronics
Next part of planning your Exuma trip are items other than clothes that you should consider. Are you taking your laptop? Your I Pad? or other electronics, if so don’t forget your charger or USB plugs.  The electronics in The Bahamas is 120 volt and the plugs are the same as US. So if traveling from Europe you will need to bring a converter plug. Have you checked if a hair dryer is provided at your room?
Luggage Now some advise when traveling. Don’t have labels on your luggage with your home address. It has been known for thieves to spend time at airports noting the addresses on luggage then robbing the home knowing that the owners are away on vacation. Any external labels should only have your name and cell phone number. The full address should be inside the luggage. Ladies do not take your best jewelry. It not worth the risk of losing expensive earrings on the beach. Similarly check that your wedding ring is not loose, loosing that when swimming could be a disaster. Your on vacation so use fashion jewelry.
Don’t forget that you cannot have liquids in your hand luggage, those must go in your check-in luggage.
Medicines. Packing for your trip it is easy to forget to get sufficient medication and remember to pack it. Bring your prescriptions with you. We do have a hospital and a pharmacy on island, so if you run out of your prescription medicine you could get refills.
Cell Phones in Exuma If your cell phone does not work in Exuma you could call in at Bahamas Telephone office in George Town and purchase a local SIM card and have them fit it. Dont forget to keep the original card somewhere safe to replace it in your phone when you head home. Lastly don’t forget the charger.
Drones Your drone will be held by customs if you do not have a license to import it. See notes above and in the government website
Importing Items into Exuma There are some items that cannot be imported into any Bahamian island, and these restrictions may effect you if you are stay at a self catering address. No fresh fruit or vegetables. If you are bringing in meat or cheese make sure it is in its original packaging. You are allowed to import up to $100 worth of goods.
Exporting items from Exuma If you are thinking that at the end of your trip you would like to take back some fish or lobsters then be aware there are limits to the size of catch you can export. They are: 6 pelargic fish such as mahi mahi, wahoo, king fish or tuna. 6 lobsters (during lobster season) and a maximum of 20lbs of other fish.
Conclusion. I trust that this information helps you have a smooth and trouble free holiday on our tropical island and that one thing you definitely take home are fond memories.

Bahama Beach Club Makes Dreams of Luxury Island Life Come True
Check out more on our website Private Homes For Rent For Weddings
When I was a kid I fantasized about owning my own island. You know, the quintessential mansion overlooking a sun-drenched ocean and a large staff that would take care of my every whim. It wasn't until I started growing older that I realized it would probably take me trading places with someone like Johnny Depp or Sir Richard Branson to make this dream a reality.
Let's face it, super exclusive island getaways are for the super rich. But what if you could personally experience living on a quiet, exotic island in luxury fit for famous movie stars?
Enter Bahama Beach Club.
A little more than an hour's flight from South Florida and less than a half hour from Nassau, the club is located in Treasure Cay, Abaco. Settled by a group of Loyalists from New York state in the 1800's and never growing much beyond the original thousand who populated the settlement at its highest in the 1790s, Treasure Cay continues to be one of the most pristine, unspoiled tourist destinations in The Bahamas.
Like its Family Island neighbors, the cay has a warm climate, balmy ocean breezes, exotic delicacies, palm trees and lush vegetation, and an intriguing small town culture. But the cay's crown jewel is its beach. Bahama Beach Club sits on one of the world's most stunning beaches. It was rated "The Best Beach in the Caribbean" by Caribbean Travel and Life magazine and one of the world's 10 best by National Geographic. Exploring the three-and-a-half mile windswept shore is like walking on fine sugar. At the far end of the beach is a tip known as Sandy Point where even at high tide the water near shore is barely more than ankle deep, making it a great place for toddlers. What I didn't expect to find walking out further, a half-mile into a knee-deep, postcard-perfect sea, were delicate white sand dollars literally every other step of the way.
The warm winds of the Gulf Stream keep the water temperature above 72 degrees most of the year. Ideal for boating, the surf at Bahama Beach Club is constantly calm thanks to several nearby islands like No Name Cay and Green Turtle Cay which act as wave barriers. It was a serene boat ride through these very same waters that first lured the owner of the club to the cay in the first place, an enticement so strong that he immediately quit his news anchor career in Florida to open the resort.
By design, the commanding ocean view is shared by every villa on the property. What makes each luxury condominium unique is the signature décor of the various homeowners. From tropical chic to streamlined modern, guests are able to select from an assortment of fully-furnished styles of 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, 4-bedroom and 4 bedroom + Loft villas ranging from $ 300-$ 700 per night, depending on the size and season. My family and friends stayed in a three-bedroom villa outfitted with wicker fixtures, palm trees and sage-toned walls. The home away from home had the look and feel of a tropical retreat but with all the comforts of the digital world -- flat screen TVs in every room, a DVD player with surround sound, cable TV and an iPod deck to play music through the condo's Bose stereo. Free Long Distance in-room telephone calls to almost anywhere in the world and Free Wi-fi is accessible throughout the resort.
Treasure Cay also offers a pleasant escape from one of city life's biggest hassles -- traffic jams. Golf carts are the main means of transportation, so much so that there's a drive-in movie night just for cart drivers. The carts (most of them rented from Cash's Carts) and bicycles make for a safe stroll to the marina or grocery store and the relative absence of cars, trucks and honking horns or even a traffic light adds to the peacefulness.
Golfers will be relieved to know there is a 72-par, 18-hole championship golf course designed by Dick Wilson in walking distance from the resort. Once ranked the "#1 Golf Course in the Bahamas" by Golf Digest, it features a front nine that runs parallel with the ocean and duck ponds on the tighter back nine.
There is certainly no shortage of tropical beverages to rehydrate yourself after a long swim at the club's outdoor bar and grill and beachfront dining is world class. Fresh local ingredients, including pineapple and conch, paired with unparalleled ocean views make any traveler feel as though they're living the lifestyle of the rich and famous. This is where we fell absolutely, adoringly in love with Treasure Cay. Try a different table every night, with a slightly different vantage point, and you can't go wrong -- especially when the live band is playing.
Private island homes are no longer the exclusive playground for dot com moguls and trophy wives. Today, a luxury island escape is just as easy a choice to make for a fulfilling vacation for them as for you. Powdered sandy beaches, a championship golf course, the conch fritter delicacy and, for the truly adventurous, a dive with dolphins -- if it's the unique family vacation you seek, look no further than "the club" for a very different island getaway. Whatever your reason it's time to fulfill your dreams before you wake up and smell the office coffee.
