Chromeskull / Laid to rest should be getting another movie! Nick Principe (the actor for Jesse) confirmed that the series isn't over and to stay tuned. I'm just sad that Robert won't be here to see it :(
Wow, in makeup alone Robert worked on so many movies and shows I like. Buffy, Grimm, Halloween 2018, Teen Wolf, Vacancy… 90+ credits according to IMDB.
It is sad he and Nick won’t be able to collaborate on a third Laid to Rest.

SUMMARY: A married couple becomes stranded at an isolated motel and finds hidden video cameras in their room. They soon realize that unless they escape, they'll be the next victims of a snuff film.
Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale are some of the mod’s biggest celebrity crushes, plus the premise of this movie sounds really good so it’s on the mod’s watchlist.

Out Representative-elect Robert Garcia (D-CA) may not have been able to get sworn in yesterday due to Republicans’ inability to elect a Speaker of the House, but he has plans for when he finally can be sworn in.
When he takes his oath of office, he’ll swear on a copy of the Constitution, and, beneath that, an original Superman #1 comic from 1939, a photo of his parents, and a copy of his citizenship certificate.
Tumblr media
Garcia came to the U.S. from Peru with his family when he was five-years-old and has said that naturalization was “his proudest moment” and the reason he started a career in politics. His parents died in 2020 of COVID-19.
He was the youngest and first out LGBTQ+ person elected as mayor of Long Beach, California (a position he served in from 2014 to 2022). During his time as mayor, he worked with businesses to reduce their environmental impacts, filled vacancies on citizen commissions with diverse and female members, and worked to improve local infrastructure as well as financial opportunities for local artists and home-based business owners.
He’s also an avid comic book fan.
In November, he tweeted a photo of the Superman #1 comic along with Amazing Fantasy #15, in which Spider-Man first appeared, saying he didn’t know which one he would first check out from the Library of Congress.
Tumblr media
While many members of Congress will be sworn in on Bibles, they are not legally required to do so. Former Rep. – and current Minnesota attorney general – Keith Ellison (D-MN), who was the first Muslim person elected to Congress in 2007, was sworn in on a copy of the Quran owned by Thomas Jefferson.
Theodore Roosevelt wasn’t sworn in with any object after the assassination of William McKinley in 1901. And in 2014 Suzi LeVine was sworn in as U.S. ambassador to Switzerland and Liechtenstein on a Kindle with a copy of the Constitution open.
“I wanted to use a copy that is from the twenty-first century and that reflects my passion for technology and my hope for the future,” she said at the time.
New members of the House can’t be sworn in until a speaker is elected. Yesterday, after three votes, no candidate for Speaker was able to get a majority of votes because of a faction of Republicans voting against Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). The Democrats’ candidate – Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) – got the most votes in each round of voting, and around 20 Republicans – including anti-LGBTQ+ Reps. Paul Gosar (R-AZ), Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Bob Good (R-VA), and Matt Gaetz (R-FL) – voted for Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH).
Jordan himself nominated and voted for McCarthy.
The House adjourned without a new Speaker elected.

"It's right there in the corner number 4. You might have to jiggle the handle a little bit to open her up, she's as sticky as an old whore." | "911, emergency?" | "Yeah, hello. We need some help. Some people are trying to kill us." | "Where are you located, sir?" | "Me and my wife, we're at this motel, the Pinewood Motel. It's near the mountains. They've got us trapped." | "Who has you trapped, sir?" | "I don't know. We just need help. The Pinewood Motel." | "Yes, sir. Do you have an address?" | "No! It's near some woods. Jesus Christ, look it up!" | "You're going to need to settle down, sir. You'll never survive if you lose control, Mr. Fox. You shouldn't be wandering around in the dark by yourself."

okay important question.
would you (or did you) put i will follow you into the dark in a good omens playlist? bc i hear that they did officially but like. literally question mark yknow? i can't bring myself to do that. personally. curious about what you tumblr used grntaire crowley icon think about this.
first of all this is a hilarious read. 10/10 no notes
personally i think there are other songs that are MUCH more aziracrow-coded that don’t require the reconfiguration needed to make the lyrics suit them, especially since the song equates escape to death, instead of equating escape to eternal time on earth, as is aziraphale and crowley’s case
then there’s the “illuminate the no’s on their vacancy signs” line, implying that the people in the song are being turned away from heaven and hell. this is literally the exact opposite issue that aziraphale and crowley have, in that they can’t escape heaven and hell
an argument could be made that the “dark” could represent the unknown instead of death, but then i think that makes the references to heaven and hell void as they’re literal references and not metaphorical in the context of both the song and good omens. the second verse that discusses how the people in the song have “seen everything to see” could be applicable, though
so yeah no it’s not in my good omens playlist, imo what enjolras/grantaire has with i will follow you into the dark is what aziraphale/crowley has with being alive from company. very specifically the raul esparza version from the 2007 tony awards lmao though To Me aquaman by walk the moon is a close runner up
