Cross Headcanons (Some Canon)

I did a bunch of information about Cross in my friend's Discord that I thought I share with you guys! ♥ Also, some of these headcanons are inspired by Wishing Stone's stuff as well. ♥

He’s an early riser due to getting up early in the morning to train for his Royal Guard duties. Good luck in getting this skeleton to sleep in.

He’s also the type to work a lot, such as paperwork and other things that need to be done in the castle or around the multiverse. Cross has a hard time relaxing when he knows that there are things to do. If you truly want him to relax, you’ll get brownie points if you help him out. He’ll definitely be grateful.

I feel like Cross has that boyish/gentlemanly charm to him. When it comes to being around someone he might have feelings for or find attractive, Cross will be somewhat shy around that person, but he still wants to be nearby because this person makes him feel relaxed, though not all the way.

Cross is always on alert due to his Royal Guard training. He’s always on the lookout for danger or anything suspicious that could put himself, the group, or someone that he cares about in trouble.

Show this skeleton genuine kindness or offer him a gift that you think he’ll like. It’ll catch him off guard and there will definitely be a purple blush on his bony cheeks. (For the love of everything, compliment this skeleton more. Please!)

Cross has a lot of knowledge when it comes to weapons and he’s quite proficient in them due to being around others with different weapon types. Also, before he joined the ranks, I feel like he did a lot of reading when it came to that kind of stuff and tried out different weapons with his companions in his AU.

Cross can be quite distrustful of others that he comes across, thus he might be slow to befriend since he’s not always around due to being busy with stuff. Well, that and the fact he doesn’t really like to be near strangers unless he absolutely has to.

I feel like he doesn’t trust Ink at all due to what happened when he was in an empty white void where his home was.

Cross suffers a lot of guilt. Like, a lot. He has a hard time sleeping at night due to the nightmares. This might be another reason why he gets up early because of lack of sleep. At times, anyway. Sometimes, he can sleep like the dead until his internal clock wakes him up to start the day.

His best friend is Epic!Sans.

Cross is afraid of cows.

From what I read in different fanfics, he likes chocolate, so I feel like he’s got a sweet tooth.

I have two different headcanons that I like indulging in when it comes to Flowey's death at the end of No Mercy.

The first is that, while he's pouring his heart out to Chara about how he became like this and how he'd actually be fine with a little house on the surface so long as they're there and how badly he missed them...he's assuming that they're there and listening. But he's wrong.

Perhaps this heartfelt speech would've worked on Chara. But though Chara has helped out this whole time and been present, right now it's 100% Frisk. And Frisk is deeply unamused that while they're threatened and taunted and assaulted, Chara is the only one to get special treatment and even empathy from this flower.

The other headcanon is that it is indeed Chara who deals the killing blow(s) against Flowey. Why, though? Why would they heartlessly kill their own best friend like that? Is it because he's weak, because they consider him a traitor? Because they no longer care from him at all, or desire the LV from the kill?

Or...perhaps there's another reason.

"That power. I know that power. That's the power you were fighting to stop, wasn't it? The power I wanted to use. [...] Well, that's all. See you later...Chara."

"But, you and I are not the same, are we? This SOUL resonates with a strange feeling. There is a reason you continue to recreate this world. There is a reason you continue to destroy it. You. You are wracked with a perverted sentimentality."

Perhaps, after hearing how the best friend they perhaps once idealized fell from grace and turned the world into his plaything, believing himself above consequences...they were just a teeny bit irritated. An eensy, weensy little bit.

My hc on the bad sanses heights + error and cross

dust should be the smallest. But not child like small but like the same height as the original sans

cross should be next, he should be a bit taller than dust but not too tall just a lil be taller than dust

Next would be killer. I fell like people don't remember he fuses with Chara so he should be a bit more taller than them Due to merging of height

Next is horror, he should be taller than them but not to tall, just taller than killer

Next, nightmare. Since he can shape shift he doesn't have a constant height. He can be the same height as dust, or smaller than dust, or be taller than horror, and since he feeds on negativity he is mostly taller than horror

last is error. I feel like he should be a bit taller than horro.r but sometimes shorter than nightmare when he decided to be super tall

How would cuddles (lustkiller-) be with a S/O whos easily flustered and has no idea how to ask for affection-?

So they end up just staring at the floor for an uncomfortable amount of time because they never learned how to ask for hugs-?

Because nobody taught them how to actually socially interact- maybe because they were very sheltered with overly controlling parents- sorry if this is to specific and weird-

I feel like Cuddles would find this sorta datemate so adorable. They want affection but they don't know how to ask for it? Then just do it! He tells them to do whatever they want to do to him.

If they show their affection by cuddling? Cuddle him. If they show it by kissing? Kiss him. If they want to hurt him, they can. He loves any type of attention, he needs their attention and their love and if they want to hurt him to show it, then they can!

He's been in a lot of bad relationships, honestly...

But no matter!

He would always tell them to just go for it, and if they can't/don't then he'll do it for them. He's always cuddling into them, pulling them onto the couch to hug and kiss. Just really anything he could think of.

He loves how easily they are to fluster! He thinks it's really cute.

so uh, random ass deltarune/undertale Head-cannon, but I think that the hosts could probably sense or hear the soul in some way.

Like, the player can hear music, right? If they sing along or hum along to the music, then the soul would probably vibrate alongside! Or, the host could probably understand what we’re feeling when certain things happen. So, depending on the player’s reaction when Kris rips their soul out, it would react and vibrate differently.

hihi! i dunno if you’re still taking requests or anything so im sorry if i do this wrong or if im bothering! also this is my first time requesting smthn but uh- is it alright if i request an xtale!chara x reader with angst and/or fluff headcannons?

I love a good ol' hurt/comfort situation. I'll keep these more vague, as if they were random things that could happen at any time.

+ XChara is definitely the type to keep problems to himself until it becomes too much to handle. With having a lot of experience of people turning their back to him or betraying him, it's pretty difficult for him to lean to someone else anymore when it comes to even the smallest of things. But when he does, it's like a weight being lifted off of his shoulders.

+ XChara gives me vibes like he would pull like, little "pranks" of sorts, but they're actually harmless if not heartwarming. More like, surprises, but delivered in perhaps a jarring or startling way. Like a cute gift hidden in a terrifying plush. Or he prepared food, but the first plate he gives you is actually really spicy, but don't worry, he's got a real one that's not spicy, he just wanted to mess with you.

+ This is a little cliché, but look. XChara really just feels like he would be the type to want to watch a horror movie marathon with you, but would also be screaming and clinging to you the whole time. Of course, he'd never admit he's actually scared. As far as XChara's story will go, he bravely watched all the movies without screaming one time.

+ If you're ever upset, expect this man to go to the ends of the earth for you. Probably a bit excessively. You might have to tell him to calm down. But he'd do everything to make sure you're okay, and if someone hurt you to make you upset, that person is his number one enemy for as long as XChara remains breathing. He'd probably even hate them more than you do. Really, it's a bit much, but he means well.

Yall!! I might be the last person to come to this conclusion but!! Mettaton is not only a very blatant trans allegory, but is technically, canonically trans. Non-binary to male to be exact. Since all ghosts are referred to as they/them and Mettaton is reffered to as he/him. It makes so much sense for ghosts to lack gender and only gain it as they become corporeal.

Beach Undertale Headcanons cuz yes

- Sans sells lemonade there. And for lemonade I mean water and entire lemons crushed by Undyne.

- Papyrus and Sans did the sand version of their snowman with success. Nobody knows how Papyrus has been able to do that. It's a secret.

- Noone of the gang except Undyne knows how to swim so she pretty much trains them, but this doesn't stop her from throwing her in the sea out of spite and fun.

- Mettaton is there but he isn't waterproof. So he is just there to show off his EX form and have fun.

- Alphys and Papyrus love making sand castles so they decide to cooperate and make the greatest castle ever (they work for 4 hours and not even Undyne(a professional sand castle crasher) feels like destroying it)

- Asgore likes to look at the sea and do long walks on the shore. It's relaxing(give goat dad a break 2023)

- They decide to play volleyball together and accidentally recreate the snow hockey all over again (except Alphys is finally in Undyne'a team(she decided to leave after 5 minutes))

My favorite genre of Chara fanart: golden flowers on their body.

@shimmershy, @passivechara, and @wowa-bublord are great examples of this.

In my opinion, I think people must draw them with golden flowers more. Their grave is Full of Golden Flowers, and if they (hypothetically) were to be resurrected; they'd have their favorite flowers stuck to them. And great for symbolism because I liked the idea of Golden Flowers representing Grief. (I swear, someone made a post about it. So you happen to find it, Please let me know!)

Error Headcanons

Another thing I shared with my friends on her Discord. ♥♥♥

He wears big, red round glasses when he really needs to see something, but he can be stubborn about wearing them or he’s not comfortable wearing them around people.

I feel like he can speak Spanish due to watching Undernovela a lot and wanting to understand what they’re saying.

This skeleton is stubborn, but he can be bribed if you have the right item to bribe him with, or maybe a trade of sorts.

He’s really good at knitting/crocheting or anything else that involves making something with yarn. Error’s usual go-to is making dolls of different AU characters.

Error tends to talk to the dolls and have a blown-out conversation with them when he’s either alone or with some company. He really doesn’t care who’s watching.

He can hear different Creator’s voices when he’s in the Anti Void. Error can still hear them when he’s traveling through the multiverse, but they’re quieter and somewhat easier to ignore.

He’s definitely blunt and not really afraid to talk what he’s really thinking about. Error has the power to really not care about the consequences.

I feel like when it comes to destroying AU’s, Error usually goes for ones that are already destroying themselves or haven’t progressed in the story for a long time. While he’s not at all afraid to go after the active AU’s, Error has less of a chance to encounter Ink in the incomplete or almost destroyed AU’s.

Error’s more of a loner than an attention-seeking skeleton, but if something catches his attention and/intrigues him, he’ll seek it out to see if it’s something that’ll be a problem later or not.

Do you have chocolate? Not anymore you don’t! Error’s known to steal chocolate. Good luck in hiding any. He’ll know where to find it. His favorite drink is Hot Chocolate. The more homemade it is, the better. It may or may not be one of the ways to get on his good side. Who knows~!

This skeleton is stubborn and suspicious of anyone that’s willing to come near him. Good luck with getting him to trust you. You’ll need patience and time to earn his trust.

Error is known for not wanting anyone to touch him and vice versa. However, I feel like the more comfortable he is with you, the more he’ll sit closer to you and such. Touching will be a slow progress.

Error will more than likely throw a fit if something doesn’t go his way. If he’s beyond enraged, I suggest you avoid him until he calms down or when he’s willing to come around again.

If you catch his attention and he actually enjoys your company, Error will be around more often, just hovering and maybe glaring at you to figure out what you’re up to, but he won’t threaten your life. Lucky you!

Speaking of which, I feel like Error might judge you from afar to see what kind of person/monster you are. Usually, he would destroy and be rid of the new anomaly without a second thought, however, I feel like the longer he has lived and observed different AU’s, the longer he gives others to live. As long as you don’t anger him. Teasing on the other hand… Heh heh heh.

Error is a bit of a man baby, but I feel like over the years, he’s toned down a bit. Not a lot, but a bit.

Error uses his blue strings to attack. He can use it to wrap around a soul and bend them to his will. If he wants the characters to fight, he’s going to make them. He used to take a soul as a trophy to hang at the top of the Anti-Void, but doesn’t do it as much anymore.

He also has a lot of tongues and he blushes yellow~! ♥♥♥

I like headcanoning that among humans in the UT universe, soul colors are just like astrological signs. They don't actually align to personality or what magic you can use or anything, despite the popularity of soul traits in fandom, but it's a popular thing on the surface to do personality-quizzes to find out which you are, or do fortune telling/matchmaking based off your soul color.

And perhaps there is a relationship of families or similar people having similar soul colors. (This is a world where people can just bring out their souls and use magic, after all.) But some people take it to ridiculous extremes and assume that just because they have a green soul, it's completely impossible for them to ever say or do something cruel. Etc etc.

Just. I really like the idea of humans on the surface putting way too much stock into soul traits and NOT just having completely accurate information on what they mean and do. It feels realistic.

Frisk first route was a neutral route

i feel like people assume when talking about frisk first route is that they did a pacifist route. I have seen fanfics (don't judge me pls) that depicted frisk first route to ba pacifist before they either

a) got bored and chose genocide

b) Chara controled them

c) player controlled them

While all those options on top is way I read and seen a fanfic depiction

I have reason to believe that the first route to be neutral is the most logical of them all

Despite people assuming frisk is a pacifist (or is that cannon?? Idk) if you think about real hard. A child that fell from a mountain into a hole and is believed to be the saviour of monster kind that they tried to kill. You would think frisk would forgive them and show them what's wrong??

Well I believe frisk would definitely kill some monsters for petty revenge for trying to kill them (hc for frisk they/them) and spare the kind ones (like papyrus) and ofc Chara not being the bad guy and is just as confused with frisk and going along with it because they just woke up.

And then when they learned what happened/ going on they felt bad and once they figure out how to reset they tried doing a pacifist route (but still hurting the monsters because personal hc of mine is their petty like me) before they finally did a pacifist route. And then Undertale came to be

before anyone jumps to conclusions i think i know what he’s talking about. how the monsters stayed in the ruins at first before moving to the rest of the underground. there’s green grass there too.

he would just have had to be born there, because he hadn’t seen the surface before true pacifist. also, he doesn’t remember it too much (taken from the HMMM…) so it makes sense that he’d just barely remember.

but sans taking over is a little suspicious. maybe deltarune - undertale connection WAS a bit stronger that i thought but that’s just a theory. A GA
