Happy mid-September Halloween! This is -- I think -- the first Halloween in the decade+ that I've been here where I've managed to celebrate it with my fellow simblrs. So here's my favorite Pleasantview teens dressed in homage to some of my favorite simblrs:

I like how my many non-Sims friends probably think Loki and Circe are my absolute favourite Sims and while they're definitely my second and third favourites the number 1 spot has to go to Dominic Newlow. He's just a bit harder to talk about as he's so incredibly obscure lmao.

Loki and Circe are very fun as a pair to explore whereas Dominic is super interesting just on his own already (despite the fact that I love to explore his dynamic with Duncan). Fourth, fifth and sixth spots would go to Giuseppi Mezzoalto, Tybalt Capp and Giuseppi Mezzoalto.

If I could pick even more I'd also pick Orion Tricou/Teens, Tank Grunt, Hal Capp and Patrick Jones, cause those 4 ended up with pretty interesting stories in my game as well.

Ugh Sims 2 just has so many cool Sims... It's a shame that the only semi-interesting Sims in Sims 4 are the Supernaturals. Like it's funny how bland most Sims are yet the Vampires, Werewolves and Spellcasters actually have some flavour to them!

Florence Delarosa's business is booming. On top of that she met someone she likes but who it is will remain a secret for now. 😊

Gilbert Jacquet had an outing with his friends downtown. 💙💚

Cynthia Kim is busy making important connections in Belladonna Cove's high society. She brought Nylissit Tricou home with her and then suddenly got hit by a lightning. 😳 (What's funny is that I saw Nylissit gossipping about it all over the place. Sometimes the game tells the story without me having to do anything. The sims behave as they should. 😅)

As I mentioned in an earlier post, Castor Nova and Chestity Gere seem to like each other. They got closer and now they are in love. None of the them wants to marry yet and I won't push them. At the moment they just enjoy spending time with each other.

Jules O'Mackey and David Ottomas just graduated college and decided to move in together. They were a couple since their teens and I am just waiting for them to roll the want to get married. 😅

Poindexter has gotten himself into a fine pickle, hasn't he? What's he going to do about it?

Frances knows what she's going to do about it. First off, she'll go by the old adage, "the way to man's heart is through his stomach."

Attila asked Lora to move in so he wouldn't have to quite so all alone anymore. They had a little dinner party - featuring salad - with Mom and one of the zillion Cameron/Camryn-s running amuk in my game.

Enzo has been busy setting up his life but not much pic-worthy stuff. He made good friends with The Slob. A couple promotions later and he bought The House of Fallen Trees. I was trying to get the Tricou's on the lot resurrected but it came up saying Gvaudin was resurrected on another lot and my game crashed when I tried to walk to lot to find her and bring her home. She was listed as part of the household too on the ui. I think I'll try just putting the resurrection potion by Fricorith's grave next time. The Poppycock kids that are friends with any of the Teens are all back home so I can't get a Teen teen to move into this house to do the resurrecting as of yet.

Tricou Downtown Teens | Townie Pool

The sims are set as downtownies and will therefore mainly show up in Downtown.

The sims will unfortunately have their names randomized when added to a main hood. You can check their original names here and change them back with SimPe.

NOTE!

Choose between 2 versions

1. Original Maxis Faces: Tiave & Orion have been given their correct faces (face 21 & 25)

Genetically Correct: The teens faces are a mix of their original faces and Jon Smith Tricou's face. They have also inherited recessive genes from Jon Smith. 

For Tiave & Orion's faces I used their correct and fixed adult face templates (21 & 25) and mixed them with Jon Smith’s face.

Installation

The subhood folder is named TEEN. Put it in C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 Open For Business\TSData\Res\NeighborhoodTemplate

Add Jon Smith Tricou's descendants as a shopping district. You can delete the subhood right after adding it and the sims will have been added to the hood!

Saint Bella Church, exterior

Whenever I play Pleasantview, I usually make Mortimer (the son of the founder of Old Town) the preacher of the church. Considering his wealth, I imagine that Mortimer wouldn’t just join an already-existing downtown church, but would make one himself. I’m not exactly sure how Bella fits into the story just yet, but I imagine that Mortimer, while making this church, was under the assumption that she was dead. Of course Bella is in his relationship panel, but I’m just going to ignore that for now…

My game can always always use more graveyards...so I made a little graveyard 😊 I'm not sure who will be buried here just yet. Almost definitely Mortimer. Maybe Dina (and whoever she marries afterwards). I'd like to keep it in the (downtown) Goth family if possible. Maybe some of the Tricou teens, since I imagine they'll be the majority of Mortimer's congregation.

I wanted to put a wedding arch in the nave, but I didn't have much space...so it ended up here! Unfortunately, it can't accommodate a lot of sims (the benches seat 6 sims total), but it's not like sims actually sit for the ceremony anyway 🙄

Usually, I put the child areas of my churches in the front yard, but since this is a downtown lot, I figured the Goths wouldn't want the children playing in a visible, non-fenced spot. Instead, the children are fully visible through the windows in the nave.

Whenever I make a church, I always include a kitchen/dining hall and the shop-at-home coat hook. That way, my broke church-going sims will always have "donated" food and clothing.

Most of my churches don't have showers, but since I had the space I figured why not? For this particular build, I imagined that Dina and Mortimer like the aesthetic of philanthropy, even if they don't intend for anyone to actually use the shower, donated clothes/food, etc.

And finally: the nave. It's extremely small and holds only 7 total sims (8 if you count the "organ" player). The statue of Bella is from Nixed Sims.

Fricorith Hair

IT'S HIM! IT'S THE BEST BOY!!

I was overcome by the spirit of brainrot and created this hair for my Fricorith Tricou remake Sim! It's based on the goth boy fringe from Sims 2 because of course my boy had to be perfect. For what it's worth, I am rather proud of this mesh (pretend it doesn't look a little weird in the back though). I'm still a noob at the art.
