The car has been bought!

It took 3 and a half fucking hours from getting there to actually driving away but it was fucking bought.

Thank fuck for indoor playgrounds because we took Mars to one just in case it took longer than we thought. Boy was she super over tired by the time it was finally time to go home. I don't think she ever slowed down for more than 10 mins the entire time we were there.

(The place with the best deal was an hour away. Multiple people said I didn't have to be there but we weren't going to take that chance so that meant I had to come with. Mars was very excited about the new car and wanted to be there for the first drive and we figured why not. Three and a half hours is why not, past Geeky and Mr. Geeky.)

Also, should note in all fairness to the Mazda guy we were working with, it was not his fault. Our original guy called in sick so the deal had to be gone over again with the new guy. The new guy didn't have a desk so he just kept stealing other people's desks which was honestly more hilarious than annoying. The insurance we were planning on going with dropped the ball so Mr. Geeky had to emergency shop around for a new one. The entire place was super busy so Mr. Geeky had to wait for a while to talk to the financing people. Overall it was a mess but not the sort where there's anything one thing that caused it, just a bunch of little stuff piled up.

But we got a car!

#geeky talks #for anyone wondering we went with the cx-5 #which is hilariously enough apparently the second choice for the majority of toyota owners #mr geeky watches this one guy who does reviews on car #and he is like a die hard toyota guy #like he trash talks basically every other car and brand #but he recently just reviewed the cx-5 and was gushing over it #and a ton of the people in his reviews were basically like #yeah i had to buy this because there were no toyotas to buy near me #(they are basically out of stock fucking everywhere they're just selling too fast) #and anyway they were like i bought it cause i had to but i ended up loving it #anyway i know not every toyota person is like this #but i have a special love for toyota people for being so willing to honestly compare two different brands of cars #especially considering i know toyota people tend to have the reputation for being pretty die hard for their brand #but anyway we have a car y'all!

several of these human adjacent things were driven off twitter recently after being exposed for committing war crimes in the past. the ones that are still there decline to comment, which is not a good look for anyone involved. oh well. its not like anyone would have had the power to stop them if you think about it. did you see that viral video where one was juggling military tanks? he posted it to his own youtube channel like some kind of power play. fucked up.

and every so often people start collectively asking questions like how much involvement did they have in xyz war? did they own slaves personally? is it true they need to eat humans to survive?

an interview drops given by some guy who claims to be one of these dudes (its hard to tell if he's legit) "personally i just want to be left alone. i have more productive hobbies now, dont worry about all that from 500 years ago or 100 years ago or whenever. thats not me anymore. btw i dont condone cannibalism its not fun for anyone"
