UA teachers reacting to you asking for a hug
pairings: present mic x gn!reader, aizawa x gn!reader, midnight x gn!reader, all might x gn!reader
warnings: none, eventual vigilantes cw
these can be seen as platonic or romantic!!
Tumblr media
Yamada Hizashi (Present Mic)
“awe yeah c'mere!"
gooooood hugger
10/10 overall
i just know he'd give amazing hugs
he's like 6’1 (without hair) too
he's taller than aizawa and that's what keeps me going
puts his arms around your shoulder and squeezes
not too little
but not too much for you to feel suffocated
he'd probably smell rlly good too
and he'd rub your back softly
depending on why you're asking for a hug (just need affection, sad, warmth etc) he'd murmur stuff under his breath
if it's like a relief hug after a long day it's just him praising you for how well you've been doing
if you're sad he's gonna be more gentle and tell you everything is okay and how you're safe
i know y'all are thinking “mic?? gentle?? he'll scream my ear off probably”
but he can be very soft and gentle
it's shown in vigilantes that in serious situations he's actually capable of being very calm and collected and offer comfort that is appropriate to the current situation
(i'm gonna start crying when i think about it)
overall… amazing 10/10
tbh i'm basing this off the fact that he's a famous radio host and famous people do have the most comforting hugs
i luv my funky little blond
Tumblr media
Aizawa Shouta (Eraserhead)
*looks at you for a minute*
“yeah come here”
that man always has a scarf around
so either you'd sneak under those l a y e r s or he'd wrap you in it himself
that being if it's not his capture weapon
(that thing has seen and done too much for him to use it in an affectionate or sexual way let's be honest i know y'all think about it but he's still a man of class okay)
he's 6 feet too so like his shoulder is just perfect for putting your head on it
ahhh he'd put his hands around your waist and draw circles with his thumb
he'd ask if everything is okay even if you are more affectionate, just to make sure
okay maybe i'm biased but like i just know if you did feel bad and he asked that his voice alone would make you just bawl on the spot
he's a *good* teacher after all and they have the most calming presence even if he is intimidating sometimes
if you are his s/o or friends he'd still have that calming presence, he just maintains it from being around kids all the time
he smells nice but like not bc he has a nice smelling cologne (that'd defeat his purpose of being ~underground~ if he just smells extravagant especially to people with sensory quirks)
*he* just smells nice
i could go into the biology of it all but i'll spare you
the reason i'm basing him around being a teacher even though these are all teachers is bc his motive for becoming a teacher is actually bc he's really good with kids and has always been quite “authoritative” but soft even as a teen
so naturally that means he has a calming nature which comes handy for more than teaching classes
Tumblr media
Kayama Nemuri (Midnight)
“oh of course!” *walks towards you with open arms*
i'm just gonna say it bc i know we are All thinking it
her tiddies would be the best pillows
idc maybe it's the me liking women but not much is as comfortable as the soft bussum of a hot lady
*cough*
her quirk is based around scent so naturally,,, smells GOOOOD
but see i think that like subconsciously she'd activate her quirk to calm you down even more
she squeezes you really tight and probably plays with your hair
if she's taller than you she'll rest her head on yours in some sort of way but her most used ~technique~ is pressing her cheek against your forehead and stroking your hair
you'd get really drowsy during and after but like in a good way and probably just babble when she asks any questions which she thinks is cute
she holds you for like a good while even if you're already satisfied she's gonna keep holding on and play with your hair for her own pleasure
i'm basing all of this off of her character in vigilantes lmao and especially the scene where's out with pop
i know she's the r rated hero but i don't think she'd push anything sexual into just a hug or cuddles so except for the fact that she has nice friends she'd just enjoy the affection
Tumblr media
Yagi Toshinori (All Might)
*very surprised but pleased* *opens arms and does his liddol smile*
hear me out
that man doesn't know how to properly hug
he's literally 7’2 which is over 2m even in skinny form
i'm not exactly tall but like hugging shorter people now is already just,,,, awkward
and for someone who's basically taller than anyone around him he just never rlly properly learned how to
plus in muscle form he just never had to bc nobody would ask him for a hug bc that man was over 2m tall and like 2m wide… a hug would could've probably crushed someone
he did try and it looked very funny
anyways as a result of that his hugs are very gentle
mind you he's still 2m tall so it's still awkward
but he's like a gentle giant✨
just very soft pats on the back because he's used to being able to just kachow people away with the flick of his finger
he smells a lot like cologne
he probably has one of his own and it's probably named “my smell is here” and is a eau de toilet
but you can take a breath in his arms
it's the number one status still engrained but you'll just always feel safe when he's around and especially when he's hugging you

Fic Prompts: Free Day Thursday
(In which Toshinori managed to talk Nedzu out of endangering the whole school and bragging about having All Might as a teacher by offering an alternative)
Shota grimaced. "A quirkless combat instructor? Shouldn't he be teaching the business course, or general education or something?"
Nedzu's smile tightened just a little bit. "Oh dear! Now Eraserhead, after all the trouble you had to go through during your years as a student, I'd hoped you hadn't started believing in everyone's biases."
The new teacher, a lanky, towering man, raised his hands placatingly. "It's alright, Principal Nedzu. Anti-quirkless sentiment has been so pervasive over the last two generations that it's very easy to internalize bias without meaning to."
He offered a sympathetic smile to Shota. "Toshinori Yagi. Nice to meet you. They told you that you'd be a liability, didn't they? Probably compared you to a quirkless person like it was a death sentence, right?"
Shota didn't talk about his school days. Ever. How, then, did this grim scarecrow see right through him? He kept his mouth shut, but his eyes had already betrayed him.
"Yeah. Thought it might be something like that." The new teacher nodded. "If all your struggles were compared negatively to quirkless people, it would certainly mess with your perception. I already know some of the kids coming in this year have anti-quirkless attitudes, though, so I need you to have my back, Mr. Aizawa."
"I- I'm not anti-quirkless!" Shota sputtered, suddenly feeling defensive. "I just asked why you're teaching a combat class for kids with quirks! It's not bias, I'm just being rational!"
The two older men simply raised their eyebrows at him.
"I'm adding a mandatory training on recognizing internalized bias," Nedzu announced cheerfully. "Since you're the third person to say that to Mr. Yagi. Unfortunately, I was the first. Yes, principals make mistakes too, it seems -- even with a quirk like High Specs!"
Toshinori cringed at the cheesy tone and ignored Nedzu for the moment to focus on Aizawa.
"If you're concerned about my combat abilities, we can always arrange a sparring session. Though-" he chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. "I'm afraid it wouldn't be all that fair to you. I've been training since before you were born."
That sounded like a challenge. One Shota didn't feel he could ignore. It occurred to him belatedly that when fighting a quirkless person, his own quirk amounted to little more than a bit of social privilege. It didn't work on people who didn't have quirks. He and Yagi would be on equal footing.
The footing, as it turned out later, was not all that equal.
Shota Aizawa had been very thoroughly trounced, and he wouldn't deny it.
"Go again?" Toshinori grinned brightly and reached down to help him up. "That was a good idea with the scarf. Would've worked if you hadn't stepped wrong, there."
"Don't patronize me," Shota grunted. "I was nowhere near winning and you know it."
Toshinori shrugged. "I told you it wouldn't be fair," he said apologetically. "I've been fending off angry people with quirks since elementary school. I've got a pretty wide range of experience."
"Elementary school?" Shota frowned. "It's really that bad?"
The new teacher sobered. "Yes. Worse now than it was when I was growing up. My kid -- well, my girlfriend's kid, he's planning to take the entrance exams next week -- my kid has permanent scars from his classmates. The teachers pretend he starts fights to cover it up."
That was a lot to process at one time. To Shota's everlasting chagrin, what came out of his mouth was "Your son's quirkless too?"
"Late bloomer, actually," Toshinori corrected easily. "And I mean late bloomer. Elementary through middle school we all thought he was as quirkless as me. He...he's been through a lot. And despite it all he still wants to save and protect people."
Toshinori tossed Shota a towel and smiled. "He's actually a big fan of yours, Eraserhead."
Shota wasn't sure how to feel about that. He was an Underground hero! He specialized in disguise and avoiding the spotlight! What about that would appeal to a child?
"It's true!" Toshinori laughed upon seeing Shota's incredulous expression. "My Izuku found this old video of you fighting that Jack in the Box gang two or three years ago. Before his quirk came in. He started basing his training off of your movements. It's actually helped him get away from his main bully a couple times, so thank you for that."
Uncomfortable, Shota turned away. "Sounds like he did that on his own," he said gruffly.
He hadn't turned fast enough to keep Toshinori from seeing a faint flush. Kids looked up to him?! The terror of UA? That made no sense to Shota. The new teacher must've been exaggerating.
Or so he thought, until classes began and the reckless kid whose quirk he'd erased suddenly went on an explosively rapid-fire assessment of his identity. And then proceeded to have stars in his eyes despite being tied up in the scarf.
Oh no.
This had to be Yagi's kid.
"You. At the entrance exam," Shota barked, changing his plan at the last minute, "Was that normal for your quirk?"
"N-no!" the kid squeaked. "I didn't regulate my p- power output. It's- it's my fault, I'm still-" He cut himself off abruptly and paled.
Shota grimaced. "Late bloomers exist, kid. It's not a cardinal sin or something. How long since you manifested?"
Izuku looked down. "Three months," he whispered. "Three weeks before the exam."
Shota stared at him. "You...okay, new plan. Midoriya, go...stand over there or something. After the test, we're going to go talk to Recovery Girl, because I don't know how to make an individualized education plan for "I literally just got my quirk". Until we do that, just...do what you'd normally do."
He'd almost let the kid blow up his arm again to throw a stupid ball! Yagi would've murdered him if he'd found out!
(After the Talk with Recovery Girl cleared up a few more things, Shota would look back on that moment as one of his greatest escapes.)

Can you make a small fic were all might/toshinori yagi finds out izuku is transgender and all might is shocked and a little hurt that izuku never told please and thank you
Of course, I can! I hope this is to your liking!Izuku grabbed several of his precious belongings, shoving them into boxes. His mom sat on his bed, running her hand over one of the pictures that she was sending with him. “Oh baby, I can’t believe I’m not going to get to see you every day. I’m going to miss you so much. You’ve come so far. So, so far.”“I couldn’t have done it without you, Mom,” he grinned, relishing in the sound of his deeper voice. It was amazing what six months alone on Testosterone had already done to make his voice more masculine. He got up off of the floor, walking over to his mother and wrapping his arms around her. “You’ve been so amazing throughout all of it.”“I’ve tried my best for my strong baby boy,” she smiled, placing a kiss on his forehead. She took in a deep breath before she began to talk again. “I know that you don’t like remembering what you looked like before, but this is the only photo I have of you and your father before the accident.” She handed the picture that she had been looking at to him. He felt his breath catch in his throat as he looked at the item he had been handed. “Thanks, mom,” he smiled tightly, his heart hurting more about the loss of his father than the remembrance of his feminine self. He placed it in the delicate item into one of the boxes full of the rest of his sensitive stuff. “I’ll come and see you every weekend and holiday that I can, okay?” he asked as he picked up one of the boxes. She nodded happily, picking up another box and helping him move out his stuff. Moving was a lot more of the hassle than Izuku had realized as he loaded the last of the boxes into the car. His muscle mass had also been affected by not only the Testosterone he had been taking but also by the training that he had done with All Might to get One for All but even though he was a lot stronger than he had been the last time they moved, lifting all of the boxes was still a hassle and made his arms sore.“My arms hurt,” he grumbled as he got in the car. He rubbed over some of the scars that were permanently on his skin, which was a nervous habit that had he had picked up a while ago. “Well, they are still healing,” Inko hummed as she began to drive them to the school. “I guess so,” he shrugged. He had only gotten the bandages off a couple days ago, so they were really weak. The drive to the school was quick and painless, as it always was when he got to spend some time with his mom. They had gotten all of the boxes into his dorm room before the green-haired woman began to sob. She lunged forward, wrapping her small son up in a hug.“I’m going to miss you so much, Zuku,” she sniffed, giving him a tight squeeze. “I’ll miss you too, Mom,” he whispered, wrapping his arms around her waist and holding her close. “Make sure to call and text me as much as you can,” she sniffed, pulling back to reveal her eyes red from crying.“Definitely. I’ll write you letters if I have to,” he chuckled, giving her another brief hug before he walked her out of the building.“Is that your mom, Izuku?” Ochako asked, bouncing over to her friend with a bright grin on her face. Once the green-haired male had nodded she continued talking. “She’s really nice.”“She is. She’s like the best mom in the world,” he mirrored the smile that she was giving him. “I might be biased though.”“I think most of us are biased to think that our parents are the best,” she nodded. “Do you need any help unpacking?”“Aren’t girls not allowed in the boy’s dorm?” he asked her playfully.“I mean, technically none of us live here yet, so they aren’t really the boy’s dorm yet,” she rambled, waving her hands in front of her face.Izuku laughed, “I don’t think I need any help, but thanks for offering!” “Of course,” she bubbled before she went off to go potentially help whoever had just arrived. The green-haired teenager shoved his hands in his pockets, walked to the room that had been assigned to him. He shut the door tightly behind him, making sure that no one else could come in. He grabbed the first box, this one full of the sensitive things that he had packed. A lot of them were All Might collectibles that his dad had given him from America and he had bought when he was a child. He looked over to the bookcase that was set up against the wall of his room. He walked over to it, grabbing each of the figurines and placing them where they belonged on the very top shelf. The box was nearly empty, minus the pictures that his mom had given him to bring. He walked back over to his desk, taking them both out and placing them on the desk to be arranged later. He continued to unpack books and posters until he had fully unpacked both of the boxes full of things that he had brought. It took him nearly two more hours to fully unpack his clothes and make his bed. He had the last box next to him and his bottom dresser drawer open as he placed old shirts and pants into it. He chuckled a bit as he pulled out the last item inside of the box. “God, I haven’t had to wear this for months,” he whispered, running his hand over the binder. Through too much time of both of them working jobs to save up money, they had finally collected enough to get him top surgery. It had been the happiest day of his life when he had finally come out of the meds enough to realize that he had a flatter chest than he had ever had before (not counting the time before puberty). Before they had managed to afford top surgery, his mom had bought him his first binder. The small time of clothing had helped him been with him on so many important moments. He had been wearing the binder when he had met All Might, though he got top surgery three days after meeting his hero.He placed the binder back in the box before standing up. He grabbed a sharpie and the box. He scribbled ‘Sentimentals,’ onto the front of the box. Smiling a bit at the only item inside the box he placed underneath his bed where it would be hidden away if anyone were to go snooping through his room. When he had finally finished unpacking, he collapsed down on his bed. As his body sunk down into the soft mattress and familiar bedding he was reminded of how much moving sucked. He had just begun to drift off into a light nap when a knocking on the door roused him. He swung his legs of the bed and shoved himself off of the bed, walking over to the door. He opened it tiredly, blinking at the person who had interrupted his napping. “Hello?” he asked.“Young Midoriya,” All Might, in his deflated form smiled at him. “I just came by to see how you were settling in. Do you mind if I come inside?” “Of course not,” he smiled, stepping aside and allowing his mentor to come in. “I just finished unpacking, so I think I’m doing pretty well,” his voice cracked at the end of his sentence, making him wince. Despite having had top surgery and being on Testosterone, gender dysphoria was still something he had to deal with every now and again. The blond man chuckled as he looked around the room, nodding with approval. “You certainly seemed to have settled in pretty well.” His eyes fell to the desk then, looking at the two pictures there. One of them had been taken more recently, and that was the one of him and his mom almost a month after he had the top surgery. He smiled fondly at it, remembering his mother’s sudden realization that his mother had had that they need to get ‘updated’ pictures so that they could have pictures of the ‘real him.’ The second picture was of his father and him when he was fourteen, a year before he had come out to his mother and three months before his father had been brutally killed in a car accident. He still had his long green hair that had fallen into his too feminine eyes. He had been wearing a lilac dress and he remembered being so uncomfortable that he had gone home and cried for hours.“Who is this?” Toshinori asked, picking up the picture and looking at the two people he didn’t recognize. “You never told me you had a sister.”“I don’t,” Izuku responded. “That my dad and I. When I was fourteen.”“Young Mirdoriya,” the blond paused for a moment, turning to look at the teenager with a dangerous look in his eyes. “Are you transgender?”“Uh yeah,” the green-haired boy nodded, rubbing his arm awkwardly. His stomach dropped as he worried if his mentor would accept him. It wasn’t like he was any different just because he had been born in the wrong body. “Is that a bad thing?”“Of course not,” Toshinori shook his head, reassuring the young teen. “Though I am a bit hurt and upset that you didn’t tell me.”“Why are you upset?” Izuku whispered, still a bit too terrified to raise his voice above that. The blond sighed, “The workout regimen I gave you so that you could prepare your body for One for All could have seriously hurt you since male and female bodies are made so differently. I say female as in sex, not gender because in every way you are male, Young Midoriya.”Izuku felt large tears well up in his eyes for the first time in a long time. He lifted his hand up to his face, wiping away some of the saline that streaked down his face. “I was kinda worried there for a second, that you would say that some cry baby tranny isn’t worthy of inheriting One for All.”“I would never say that. I have never once regretted my decision to make you my succor. You are one of the strongest people out there, Young Midoriya. And if anything, you being transgender is even more reason for you to become an amazing, influential hero,” Toshinori explained. “I apologize for snapping at you. You had no duty to tell me everything about your life.”“I probably should have told you because you were training me and like you said, it could have hurt my body,” Izuku rubbed the back of his head.“Well, there’s nothing that we can do about the past, now is there?” Toshinori asked with a faint smile, all of the times that his own teacher had told him that coming back to him. “If I may ask, you haven’t been training in your binder, have you?”“No, I had top surgery a couple days after I met you, actually,” the greenette sat down on his bed, taking the picture from his mentor and looking at it.“It’s a relief to know that my training didn’t hurt you, Young Midoriya. After all of the limbs you have broken due to me passing my quirk onto you I don’t think I could take another thing on top of that,” he joked.“I understand that,” he chuckled along with his mentor. “Thanks for accepting me, All Might. It really does mean a not to me.”“Of crouse. Everyone deserves to feel wanted and accepted. That is something I have tried to teach everyone throughout my hero career, even if some people took more teaching than others,” the blond rambled. Before he had a chance to say much else, his phone went off in his pocket. After checking it he sighed. “It’s good to see you have settled in, Young Midoriya. I’m afraid I have to leave now. See you in class tomorrow.”“See you in class,” Izuku waved as his mentor left his dorm room, leaving him alone again. The teenager placed the picture back down on his desk, staring at it for a moment. The person in the picture was far different from the person looking at it, and yet part of him was still in Izuku. He was proud of how far he had come, and his confidence had a small boost now that he had successfully come out to his mentor, even if had been a bit of an accident.

Hey boys and girls I’m back with more Bakudeku role-reversal talk (BTWs all and future posts regarding the AU will be put under the tag “Bakugou No Hero Academia AU” for ease with searching)
So last time we left off on the end of the Hero/Villain exams, so now it’s on to the Lunch incident
All Might tries to encourage Katsuki to try clearing the air with his classmate - he is stuck with them for three years after all, and it would do well to start making allies he can rely on in his career as a hero
Which is easier said than done, as Katsuki has currently learned that trying to murder your childhood friend during a class sanctioned test over feelings with your recently obtained smashy powers kind of makes people terrified of you (And also not like you a whole bunch but that’s neither here nor there), and them being terrified kind of makes them not want to sit with you at lunch.
He also learns that the apparent so-called murder attempt doesn’t stop said childhood friend from trying to invite you to eat with him and his new friends, because apparently he’s not only just a nerd, but a nerd with a death wish! (or at least that how Katsuki and a good 90% of the school sees it)
It’s a awkward, unfun time for everyone. No one can really talk to Katsuki and Katsuki doesn’t really want to talk with anyone. Attempts end with tense weird pauses or death threats. Izuku ends up filling the air with meaningless chatter because dear lord it’s so freaking awkward and they all know it but they can’t do anything about it because it’s so awkward. No one there really wants to admit they felt the break in by the paparazzi was a godsend.
The only real positive outcome of the incident is that Katsuki sort of becomes semi-antifriends with Ochako (no one is sure how it works, but it worked)
Enter: the USJ Villain attack
Again, Match ups are still somewhat the same except -
Uraraka ends up with Kirishima and Katsuki, and Tokoyami ends up with Izuku’s group I’m a sucker for Tokoyami based friendships okay!?
Izuku’s group escape from the sea disaster zone is radically different since Izuku doesn’t have One for All
Katsuki’s crew ends up going through the building disaster area a lot quicker (Gravity-Harding-Bakugou combo does wonders on evil villains trying to kill high schoolers) and end up running into Todoroki
Katsuki’s smart enough to realize Kurogiri needs taking out first and has Kirishima get on that
And that’s where everything kind of goes to hell because Tomura
Ochako floats Noumu what do you mean that makes no sense and I’m just trying to reference that one sketch Horikoshi did it doesn’t really work but she did it kind of
Katsuki almost loses his arm punching Tomura because for a frail skinny weirdo with pealing skin he can actually take a punch pretty well (that and Noumu got in the way of the first one)
They’re honestly pretty lucky All Might shows up when he does and that Izuku’s group come in at the right time to act as back up (Katsuki on his part is accepting of the help, but very openly bitter about it)
Izuku actually dunks Tomura in the water with his Quirk trying to help Katsuki and the others get away from him (Tomura will remember that)
He also accidentally sees All Might’s real form after the Noumu fight. Neither All Might or Bakugou notice, but his awkwardness towards him later on afterwards makes Katsuki suspicious
The entire thought process over the discovery is horrifying to him because he keeps thinking about is he fake and no it was definitely him and how is he maintaining that form for classes and how he must have to take breaks and is that why the slime villain got away from him and he must have pushed himself during the villain attack to suddenly change back and the villains must have known or they wouldn’t have done all this anyways and does anyone else know and does Kacchan know and is that why he seemed so interested in him on the first day and is always dragging him off to his office and is that why he didn’t show up on site and oh god he knows All Might’s darkest secret now?!?!?!?!?!?
(With the changes in the lineup some kids do end up getting badly injured and 13 gets put out of commission for a good while)
SPORTSFESTIVALARCSPORTSFESTIVALARCSPORTSFESTIVALARC
(or “Katsuki learns he needs to take a chill pill pt.2″)
The entire USJ Incident and seeing All Mights fight with Noumu kind of puts having One For All into perspective for Bakugou because he kind of realizes at this point he can’t rely on the power for everything
He’s also maybe a little frustrated he couldn’t help out with the fight the way he wanted (or at least not have to be save by Toshinori and Deku again) and anxious that should he screw up again All Might might not want him as a successor anymore lose more time as the pillar having to help him out again
Toshinori on his part at least tries to discourage Katsuki from taking the incident too personally and tells him to focus on school and the upcoming sports festival - which Katsuki takes as serious as a heart attack and makes his ultimate goal to win EVERYTHING
Izuku meanwhile is panicked and stressed out because the entire USJ incident was just a huge reminder of how unprepared and unsuited he and his quirk are for combat. There’s also having to fight against his friends (which he’s ultimately iffy about because they’re his friends) in the festival and KNOWING ALL MIGHT IS ACTUALLY FAKING BEING SUPER STRONG AND IS (maybe) MOST LIKELY DYING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO ASK ABOUT IT OR TELL ANYONE!!!! Poor kid’s too freaked out to even approach All Might about his doubts in participating
And it shows - Katsuki knows he knows something. He’s not sure what, but he knows...
Izuku is chosen to give the speech because if there’s any way of undoing any of the damage Bakugou’s initial attitude and their sudden popularity from USJ incident has done on Class 1-A’s reputation it’s Izuku (and he lost rock-paper-scissors)
He actually manages to do an okay job and tells everyone to do their best. Ain’t nobody can be mad about that.
Todoroki ends up getting first place in the race (Katsuki would have gotten it had he not spent what was left of it trying to make sure Izuku gets third
The calvary race ends with Todoroki’s win again, only Izuku ends up putting Bakugou in fifth by using his quirk to steal away some of his  headbands
Monoma vs Izuku is hilariously anticlimactic because Monoma steals their headband, starts bragging and saying how much Class A sucks and then Izuku just...steals it back with his quirk and is basically like “Well...it was nice meeting you. Good bye.” and leaves and Monoma just stands there for a good few minutes before pretty much running after going “How dare you! You get back here and listen to me disparage you and your classmate properly!”
Now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for - The Tournament
Poor Shinsou, instead of a heartfelt talk he just gets punched out of the ring (But Izuku does still talk to him afterwards so it all good~! I’m sorry I’m Shinsou biased)
Ochako VS Deku  is less super end-of-the-world tense like it’s counterpart and more “You’re my friend but I’m wining this thing so I still have to kind of destroy you but we’re still cool!”
On the one hand, Bakugou “I don’t have time for your daddy issues” Katsuki facing off against Todoroki with One For All results in Todoroki not unlocking his fire side and what should be an easy victory. On the other hand, Bakugou “Use your goddamn fire side already I want an actual legitimate win against you” Katsuki facing off against Todoroki with One For All would also likely result in a lot of hurt feelings, hurt bones, and Katsuki losing due to his dissatisfaction not playing nice with his desire to win and thus tripping him up at crucial moments in the match.
Izuku does pretty well despite the disadvantages of his quirk because the kid is smart and has spent enough time watching everyone’s fights/quirk use to aid him in match ups, but I ultimately see him losing his fight with Kirishima realistically
And even if he were to win that and the next match and end up facing Todoroki, Izuku still would have ended the same as in canon since he still has his desire to help others
However, if, by some measure of miracle/fate/hero magic/whatever Izuku did end up in first place it’d be...hilariously ironic in AU-Verse as Izuku would basically be the dark horse to beat all dark horses. Like I love the kid but his quirk in this version of canon is basically a very weak/subtle version of telekinesis, forcing most of his battles to be hit-and-run tactic based - Outside of friends and maybe Aizawa, no one would see it coming. The fact of him managing to get into the top 4 was a stretch in itself and struggled for; getting first place is just-wow. Even All Might is shook.
Katsuki is disturbingly...quiet about his not getting first place. I’m mean he’s still his lovable angry foul-mouthed self but he doesn’t really harp on it as much as people expected. They’re honestly a bit terrified at it either meaning he’s quietly seething about the loss or is bottling it all up for an ultimate explosion of anger and rage (Or maybe both). The entire thing’s pretty much flipped his perspective on both his abilities and his classmates, and at the moment he’s just stewing on what to do to catch up with everyone
Izuku is equally quiet for different reasons, as his win/loss and the entire tournament has made him kind of realize he might have to reevaluate both his approach to heroing and his motives. (Of course no Toshinori as a mentor = Izuku not immediately realizing constantly acting like you have a death wish to help people might not be the best way to handle things)
And once again we are done - thanks for reading!
