🟣Live now on Twitch: https://www.twitch.tv/dvalin We're diving into Throne and Liberty - this new MMORPG is epic! Come hang, chill with some cool Lo-Fi tunes. See you there! #throneandliberty #MMO #MMORPG
It seems like it has been forever since I first started reporting on Throne and Liberty, although the truth is it has only been since 29 December 2022. It could be that Throne and Liberty started off back in around 2011 as a successor to Lineage, with Project TL (Project The Lineage) being what people thought was going to be a sequel to the popular Lineage II. T&L was supposed to have a global launch in 2023, but it launched in Korea and the rest of the world has been patiently waiting to get a launch date. While we haven’t gotten the launch date, yet, we do know that the Confidential Closed Beta Testing will take place from 10 April through 17 April and that Amazon will be testing all 3 platforms: Steam, XBox and Playstation 5.

“game of thrones doesn’t make sense bc that’s not how genetics work” my brother in christ there are dragons have you considered that their genetics work differently than ours
was browsing through christian homeschooling fundie accounts and there was a couple that named their daughter Tapestry. Tapestry.... their other kids names are Rhythm, Treasure, Bravely, Manning, Cherish, Liberty, Mercy, and River. Poor girl got the worst name. I like Mercy and River, and Liberty isn't too bad i guess
Yea the weird name thing is definitely not limited to fundies, it's just kind of a conservative/small town white America thing in general lol. Honestly progressives aren't immune either, I know so many Whole Foods almond moms who name their kids like Cedar Cove or Amethyst Gaia etc.
My name is Margery! I’m currently at Level 30 and I’m a lesbian on the autism spectrum. I resort to a lot of nerdy things to cooperate through life and therefore I am a huge nerd.

^^^ Post-production continues on HotD Season 2. A break during an ADR (automated dialogue replacement) session featuring selfie taker Abubakar Salim (Alyn Velaryon) with Clinton Liberty (Addam Velaryon) and Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon - the Sea Snake himself!). Via Instagram.
A bit more about automated dialogue replacement...
ADR in Film: Everything You Need to Know About the Process
Throne and Liberty has just announced their next confidential closed beta. Let's go through all the details in this video and see when we can gain access and more.
There was a news article released on Throne and Liberty, which painted an interesting picture about the future of NCSoft’s MMORPG that was in development for over a decade. I’m going to include a link to the entire article, but a few things that were insightful was NCSoft’s apparent attention towards P2W. It seems as though they understand RNG mechanics are not desirable, but they may not understand straight P2W isn’t something the Western Audience wants either. Also, and I’m hoping its author’s viewpoint not some deeper insight, but hopefully NCSoft realizes the Western World is looking for more information along the lines of what combat style exactly is the game going to be, what are the sizes of the large scale fights, and really can you narrow down the launch date a little more than sometime in a now 5.5 month window.

Honestly I don't think there is any type of consumer as close to coping as hard as the average "upcoming MMO" fan, yeah man I def believe a game published by Amazon Games is gonna be good and that has nothing to do with it being Amazon either, they have just notably failed two different MMOs in New World (lol) and Lost Ark (LMFAO)
I'm approaching the changes made to canon in HOTD very differently than I did to GOT, because their source materials are different in nature. A Song of Ice and Fire is, for all intents and purposes, a primary source. We see events through the point of view characters' eyes as they are happening, read their thoughts and feelings the moment they come. There is very little room for the the audience to be lied to by the point of view characters outside of your regular unreliable narrators and/or mismemory. Even if what a character describes doesn't perfectly match the reality of the situation, we're still seeing exactly how they interpret situations. So the changes made in Game of Thrones, even small ones, feel all the more egregious. It's like looking at the color blue and watching someone else insist that it's called yellow.
Whereas, Fire & Blood is an in-universe text; the third person account of history, years removed from the events in question, naturally colored by distance, lack of complete information, and maester Gyldayn's own biases. Fire & Blood is, by it's very design, an unreliable account. Because House of the Dragon has so many gaps to fill in, and because the source material is inherently, purposefully not to be taken as the whole truth, the liberties they take don't bother me. Aside from things like Alicent being aged down, who's to say that this isn't more or less how it went down, with the truth of the matter simply being lost to time?
