I feel like I didn't appreciate Alpha enough while she was around. It feels weird how much I miss her, especially when I love Lydia so much and I think of her almost as if she were my own daughter, and I know how bad she treated her. At the same time I'm really glad Lydia gets to live her own life now, safe and free from her mother.

So I’m feeling a bunch of kin feelings right now, and I’m just gonna share some info that I’m learning/have learned about my kintypes, starting with my current shift. Won’t be a whole lot of detail, but it will be a little more than a summary if it comes to it.

Shiva (The Walking Dead, TV series): Not too much with Shiva. She’s a relatively new kin that I just happened to kinfirm upon watching her die on TV. :) I remember Daryl coming to see me while I was in my cage. He smelled like motor oil, dirt, sweat, and walkers, but he was cautious - almost respectful. I had never let anyone close to me like that other than Ezekiel.

Arceus (Pokemon Diamond/Platinum, canon divergent): I’ve discovered where my god complex comes from, lol. I was close with the Creation Trio, and the Lake Trio hung around as well. I remember being in the Hall of Origin, greeting a Trainer that had come to seek a challenge, though they and their team ended up being no match for me. I remember coming in to help Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina against Team Platinum. I found time to stay in the meadows and mountains of the Sinnoh region without being seen, but it was time that I enjoyed.

Sam Giddings (Until Dawn): Sam is one of my IDs. My full name was Samantha Michelle Giddings. I was best friends with Beth instead of Hannah, but I was pretty close with her as well. Matt and Emily did not survive the “reunion.” Josh died at the hands of his wendigo sister. Mike lost his fingers, but Wolfie followed him completely out of the sanatorium. While we were on the mountain, I realized just how much I loved Ashley, but I didn’t want to risk telling her because wouldn’t it fucking suck to tell someone that and then you or they die? Emily never had the chance to slap Ashley, but she was roughed up and terrified after Josh’s- whatever the fuck he called it. I got to hold her close while Chris waited for Mike, and it was hard for me not to kiss where she had been hit. The explosion at the lodge was enough to blow both of my eardrums; I learned sign language to help while I recovered, and Ashley learned, too - she even taught Jessica some. But Ashley had gone on to date Chris for a little while, but it seemed forced. Eventually, they broke up, and Mike and Jess agreed to take a break. Somehow, I ended up with both Ashley and Jessica, and it was the happiest we had been in a while.

Kasha, the Dragonborn (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim): This is my true ID. She’s literally me, I’m literally her. I was a 5′ gay werewolf Khajiit that wound up marrying Aela the Huntress. My parents were members of the Thieves Guild, and I was born in the Ratway. My father was wrongfully executed when I was 6, and my mother fled Skyrim shortly after. I was raised by Jarl Laila Law-Giver, who gave me the freedom to wander and explore the Hold as I wanted. I joined the Imperial Legion when I was 22, spent six years in Cyrodiil and Elsweyr, fell in love with my commanding officer (Legate Rikke), came back to Skyrim when we captured Ulfric Stormcloak, and watched as shit hit the fan with me mixed in there. I joined the Thieves Guild, the Brotherhood, and the Companions; I sided with the Dawnguard and walked out of Castle Volkihar with a new sister (Serana) that I never knew I needed. I married Aela long after the war was over, and the Divines blessed us with a child of our own. I soared the skies of Keizaal with Paarthurnax, Odahviing, and Durnehviir, slayed dragon priests with Serana, spent months roaming in search of Words of Power. I studied with the Greybeards and found myself meditating more and more whenever I had the chance. I actively worshiped Talos - fought for the Empire with his amulet around my neck - and took out Thalmor along the roads whenever I could. I was a proud Nightingale, a Robin-Hooded thief, an assassin with a taste for vigilante justice. Eventually I became a bard, and I sang in Jorrvaskr’s halls, in the courtrooms of the Jarls, in inns and along the roads, and even to a dragon that I had met and befriended (his name was Kunnovul). The dragons never fully stopped once Alduin was defeated, and I was never fully relaxed, but my life was a good and happy one.
