Does anyone here have experience using tennis racket overgrip tape or similar to increase the width of their tablet pen? I've been looking into ergo grips to relieve some pain from my very tense pen grip, but none seem to fit the Intuos model version that I have, so I'm searching around for other options.

How to choose the right grip for the tennis racket?
Whether you are new to the planet of field tennis, or you have been playing for a long time, it is important that you know how to choose the size or size of the grip, and also choosing the best ideal racket for you. The grip or handle of the racket may be the part where in fact the player's hand (s) and the racket meet, and therefore the importance of focusing on how to choose a proper size because they will guarantee a correct sensation and comfort for the player. , translated into better performance on the court. The racket grips come in different widths to fit how big is the player's hand. (The size of the hand of a youth player isn't the same as an adult over 1.80cm tall). Grip sizes: Different measures are established, however we are going to focus on 5 sizes which are usually the most common for our Latin American context, ordered from smallest to largest: Grip 0 (4 ?) Grip 1 (4 1/8 ?) Grip 2 (4 1/4 ") Grip 3 (4 3/8 ?) Grip 4 (4 1/2 ") European measurements are given in numbers from 0 to 4, and American measurements come in inches from 4 inches to 4 and a half inches. Identify my correct grip size. There are two ways to do this, whether you have the opportunity to have the rackets with the different size options with you, or should you be at home and do not have the racket near you. Index Finger Method Place your dominant hand on the grip so that the knob of your index finger is on face 3 of the grip, or the facial skin that's parallel to the string, this position is also called the "Eastern Drive" grip. See Fig. 1 Fig 1.
Tumblr media
Place your index finger of one's other hand in the center of the palm of one's hand and the middle finger as in the photograph ?Fig. two". . When there is excess space it is because the grip is too large for you, if on the contrary your finger will not fit between the space for the reason that the grip is small. Fig. 2 Ruler or Meter Method
Tumblr media
Stretch your dominant hand and join your fingers. With a ruler or meter, locate your middle finger and align it in a straight line with the next horizontal mark on your palm. The grip size will be determined by along the measurement you merely took. In ?Fig. 3 ?may be the table of measurements of the size of your grip in millimeters and inches. Fig. 3 Tips to choose your right grip size So far as possible, we recommend using both methods explained above, to ensure greater precision of the right size of your grip. Should you be undecided between two grip sizes, we recommend that you choose the tiniest since in any case you can place an overgrip that thickens the original grip of your racket a little. On the contrary, a more substantial size can't be adjusted to an inferior thickness so easily. Keep in mind that if you are using an overgrip you need to add 2 or 3 3 mm to your measurement, that's, you could be more comfortable with one size less, in the event that you add the thickness of the overgrip you utilize. We recommend changing your grip and overgrip regularly to guarantee grip and comfort to avoid blisters on your hand because of wear and tear. What if you chose the wrong grip size? Did you know that if you choose the wrong grip size for your racket, you will be underperforming your game or even causing injuries to your arm. Choose a very small grip: Although you could get used to utilizing a grip that is not the most suitable for you, you will be harming your health since an extremely small size of one's grip would force your hand and arm to exert more force to hold the racket, which results in increased fatigue for the arm, forearm, wrist and hand which translates into great potential for tendonitis. Choose a very large grip: Choosing a grip that is too wide directly affects the natural movement of your wrist, which means you would lose acceleration, have difficulties in your serve, or it would be more difficult to generate effects in your shots. Furthermore, the change of grip between hit and hit during the game will be difficult, and like a small grip it would force your arm to ply more force than normal to go your racket, which favors the looks of tennis elbow.

Game On!: A Tennis Review (Part I)
Life is like tennis; things sometimes fly right over our heads and we miss certain opportunities at times, but at least we’ve got chances to redeem ourselves and show everybody our true potential. Like in tennis, we may have our own supporters cheering us on and giving us the motivation to do our best, but in actuality, it is within ourselves that we make decisions that bring out the best in us.
And now, you may be wondering why I keep mentioning tennis. Well, that’s because today, to better familiarize ourselves with the sport, we’re going to review the Final Gold Medal Match of the Women’s Tennis Singles at the 2016 Rio Olympics, an iconic match between Monica Puig from Puerto Rico and Angelique Kerber from Germany.
Tumblr media

Court Dimensions
In tennis matches, the standard size of the whole court is 23.77 meters long and 10.97 meters wide, and that measurement is also the court size for doubles matches (Harrod Sport, 2020). Within the doubles court are the singles lines which sit 1.37 meters on either side, that which differs the singles court size measurement in width – specifically, being 23.77 meters by 8.32 meters, significantly thinner compared to the doubles court. With that, the total playing area of a doubles court would be 260.87m2, whereas the total playing area of a singles court would be 195.65m2.
According to Harrod Sport, the service line sits 6.4 meters away from the net for both types of courts. Inside the court, there are some sort of boxes that are used to separate the regions of the playing area which are used for different parts of the game. There are also two service boxes within the court: the deuce service box, which is always where a game serving begins and when the score is on deuce, and the ad service box, which is where a player serves when it is ad in or ad out. Doubles courts also have alleys, that which are the areas that lie between the outer line for the doubles court and the boundary for the singles and doubles courts. The biggest boxes on either side of the court are unofficially called the no man’s land precisely because it is the area that players find most difficult to play in.
Of course, a tennis court wouldn’t be complete without its net. In tennis, the height of its net is 1.07 meters or 3’6” at the posts, and 0.91 meters or 3 feet in the center. The net posts stand outside the singles and doubles courts about 0.91 meters from the doubles lines.
The lines that separate each region of the court should at least be 2 inches wide, with the baseline being at least 4 inches wide. Additionally, the courts can be made of 3 surfaces: grass (for fast-paced games and is high maintenance), clay (for slow-paced games, provides a higher bounce, and is also high maintenance), and hard (for moderately paced games, and is low maintenance).

Equipment
Tennis is no exemption to having essential equipment in order to play the sport properly. And in this sport, the needed equipment would be: a racket, tennis balls, the net, and a particular dress code (clothes and tennis shoes.) There are also secondary but still important equipment, namely wristbands and head bands or visors, water bottles, towels and snacks.
In the designated page for tennis equipment from the Tutorials Point website (n.d.), it was stated there that the tennis racket is the piece of equipment used to serve, hit and receive tennis balls in a match. It comes in a variety of weights, all to be chosen to fit the player’s preferences, and it measures 29 inches in length and 12 inches in width – any racket bigger than those measurements will not be accepted in a match. Note that the rackets can be customized in terms of its grip, overgrip and even the strings. Next, the tennis balls are the most important equipment in a tennis match, and it usually comes in a green color, made from rubber and nylon which gives it its bounce and resistance on impact. After the balls is the tennis net, and same as what was previously mentioned, it should stand at 3 feet in the center and 3’6” tall at the posts. Following the net is the dress code and this basically consists of the clothes and the shoes. The clothes not only provide mobility and comfort but they also serve as the representation of the team, that is if the player is playing for a team. Moreover, the shoes are important because they aid the player’s movements and protect their feet from injury; it has two types which are the clay court shoes and the hard court shoes, all customized to fit the kind of court that the player will be playing in.
The first of the secondary equipment are the wristbands and head bands or visors, and these are basically used to prevent the sweat from running down either to the eyes or on the hand that grips the racket; the headbands and visors also prevent the sun from flashing the eyes if the match is played on an outdoor court. The next pieces of equipment are self-explanatory in itself: the water bottles, snacks and towels.

Basic Skills
Tennis is a sport that takes time to master, but thankfully, it has basic skills that which can aid a beginner in learning and improving their play and technique. According to the Adidas Tennis Camper (2020), a beginner only needs to know the footwork, serving, and forehand and backhand strokes.
The footwork consists of the quick movements a player needs to make in a short period of time and over a short distance. It helps the player receive the balls and send attacks of their own by allowing them to chase after the balls coming towards them, and it also builds their endurance which can ultimately enhance the player’s game.
The serving is a crucial part of the game because it dictates the control a player can have over the game they are playing in. It includes “mastering the ball toss, gaining a consistent point of contact, and properly timing of [the player’s] movements.”
Lastly, the forehand and backhand strokes are the most common skills but also some of the most important because they are basically the player’s response towards the contact that the ball makes on their racket.
Technical Skills
While there are a lot of technical skills that go into the makings of a player’s game strategy, this blog post will only be talking about the eight (8) basic technical skills, that which are taken from the website of My Tennis HQ (Hadlick, n.d.).
1. Serve – is the stroke that begins every game, and the players take turns to execute it at the end of every game. It is generally characterized by the movement in which the player swings the racket above their head to strike the ball they’ve thrown up, while still standing behind the baseline. It can be an overhead serve or an underhand serve, although the latter is uncommon.
2. Return – is a shot that an opponent makes in an attempt to hit the ball back to the other side. The opponent on the return side usually stands on the side of the court, not going over the middle divider, opposite the server and not just directly in front of them. It can be in the from of a forehand, backhand, slice, block or chip.
3. Forehand – is usually a player’s strongest weapon, and it is done on their dominant side. When it is executed, what is usually done is the forehand with topspin, which involves a player hitting the ball on the top, which causes it to spin forward. On the technical side, a forehand is paired with a slice, but most people just refer to that movement as slices.
4. Backhand – is another main shot; it is basically like the forehand but is done on the player’s non-dominant side. It can be either one-handed or two-handed, and the difference between the two is the former gives more power and spin, while the latter provides more control.
5. Slice – is like a variation of the backhand shot, but is done by swinging the racket through the bottom of the ball which can add to the underspin of the shot. It can be a top spin effect or a slice effect.
6. Forehand Volley – is a fairly simple movement done on the player’s dominant side, and it requires firm hands and fast reflexes.
7. Backhand Volley – looks a lot like the backhand slice, but it doesn’t let the ball touch the ground. It is executed on the player’s non-dominant side, and it allows them to shorten the points and take time away from the opponent.
8. Overhead – is a basic shot that involves hitting the ball above the head (much like a serve). It is usually used as a point finisher.
Tactical Skills
According to the Tennis Gate (n.d.), there a few tactics that a player can incorporate into their strategy in order to gain points and win matches. The following tactics were taken exactly as it is from the website:
OUT-RALLY THE OPPONENT by keeping the ball in play long enough to make the opponent miss a shot.
PLAY AGGRESSIVELY by hitting the ball hard and catching them early.
PLAY YOUR STRENGTHS by hitting your best shots more often.
ATTACK THE OPPONENT’S WEAKNESS by making the opponent hit with their weakest shot.
ATTACK THE NET by charging the net to put pressure on the opponent by.
BRING THE OPPONENT TO THE NET by forcing the opponent to come closer to the net for a shot.
USE VARIETY TO CREATE ERRORS OR SHORT BALLS to force mistakes from the opponent or make them execute short balls that you can attack.
OPEN THE COURT by making the opponent move more in order to force mistakes and/or create opportunities to hit winners.

Rules of the Game
The rules to be mentioned in this blog post were taken exactly as is from the Pro Tennis Tips web site:
GENERAL RULES:
A ball must land within bounds for play to continue; if a player hits the ball outside of bounds, this results in the loss of the point for them.
Players/teams cannot touch the net or posts or cross onto the opponent’s side.
Players/teams cannot carry the ball or catch it with the racquet.
Players cannot hit the ball twice.
Players must wait until the ball passes the net before they can return it.
A player that does not return a live ball before it bounces twice loses the point.
If the ball hits or touches the players, that counts as a penalty.
If the racquet leaves the hand or verbal abuse occurs, a penalty is given.
Any ball that bounces on the lines of boundary are considered good.
A serve must bounce first before the receiving player can return it.
SCORING:
Points – Smallest unit of measurement. Points increment from Love(0)-15-30-40-game.
Games – Games consist of 4 points each, and is won when a player reaches 4 points with at least a 2 point advantage.
Sets – A set consists of 6 games and is won by the player/team who reaches 6 games first with least a 2 point lead.
Advantage Set – If a game score of 6-6 is reached and advantage set rules are used, a player/team can only win a set with a 2 game lead.
Matches – A match is usually played as best of 3 or best of 5 sets.
Deuce – Occurs if a score of 40-40 is reached. In order to win the game, a player/team must win 2 consecutive points in order to take the game. If a player wins one point, they have advantage, but if they lose the next point, the score returns to deuce.
Tie-break game – If a game score of 6-6 is reached and tie-break set rules are used, players must play a tie-break game in order to decide who wins the set. In a tie-break game, a player/team must reach 7 points with a two point advantage to win. For the serving format of a tie-break game, player 1 serves for the first point, player 2 serves for the next two points, player 1 serves for the next two points after that, etc.
SINGLES TENNIS RULES:
The player who wins the toss chooses who serves first.
Whomever is serving first serves for the entire duration of the first game.
After the game, the next server will be the player who received last, serving for the duration of the second game.
For every odd-numbered game, players switch sides of the court.
If a score of 6-6 is reached and tie-break rules are used, a tie-break game is played in order to determine which player wins the set. For a tie-break game, the goal is to reach 7 points first with a lead of at least 2, and doing so results in the win of the set. The player who serves first is the player who would normally serve after 6-6, or 12 games.
Serving order for a tie-break is as follows:
Point 1: Player A
Point 2: Player B
Point 3: Player B
Point 4: Player A
Point 5: Player A
Point 6: Player B
Point 7: Player B
Point 8: Player A
Point 9: Player A
A singles match is often played to the best of 3 sets, although some mens singles tournaments play to the best of 5.
DOUBLES TENNIS RULES:
The team who wins the toss chooses which team serves first, and that team will choose which of them will serve first.
Whoever is serving first serves for the entire duration of the first game.
After the game, the next server will be chosen by that team and will serve for the duration of the second game.
For every odd-numbered game, teams switch sides of the court, and the player who hasn’t served yet from the first game must now serve, and the player who hasn’t served yet from the second team serves afterward, and so on.
The serving order for a tie-break is as follows:
Point 1: Player A
Point 2: Player X
Point 3: Player X
Point 4: Player B
Point 5: Player B
Point 6: Player Y
Point 7: Player Y
Point 8: Player A
Point 9: Player A
so on…
A doubles match is often played to the best of 5 sets.

Who officiates the game? And how do they do it?
With the rules of tennis come the officiating officials, the people who are in charge of upholding such rules and making sure that every game is played equally and fairly as possible.
According to the Tennis British Columbia web site (n.d.), the first of the officiating officials is the line umpire, and they are mostly found at professional events. They help the chair umpire determine if a ball falls within or outside the court boundaries, which also dictate to which player the point goes to. The next official is the chair umpire, and they are responsible for all aspects of the match to which they are assigned to, which usually are the rules of tennis, code of conduct, and tournament regulations on the court. They may also work with a lines crew. After that official is the roving umpire, and this is the official that exercises jurisdiction over one or more courts simultaneously. Their responsibilities are similar to that of a chair umpire, but they overlook more than one ongoing match. What they do is they basically ensure the courts are ready to be played on, resolve scoring disputes, and control the spectators.
Following the umpires is the referee, and this official is the final on-site authority who also upholds the tournament rules, code of conduct, rules of tennis, and all the aspects of the play. They also ensure that the matches are organized fairly according to specific guidelines. Lastly, the final officiating official is the chief of officials, and they are responsible for hiring the umpires, and training and evaluating the other officials for the matches.
