Let's talk about the Diva's Title
Tumblr media
I said I'd do this so...um yeah that thing. Once again I'll try not to reiterate ground that has already been beaten to death. Seriously it looks so sh*t. It looks like it's sold at Claire's, if your not British let me translate- it looks like sh*tty jewellery for 13 year olds. But yes it looks terrible but instead of just saying that in 50 different ways how does it compare to other women's title's at the time.
Tumblr media
(From left to right: TNA's Knockouts World Championship, Shimmer's Shimmer Championship, Stardom's World of Stardom Championship, WWE's Women's Championship, Ice Ribbon's ICE Cross Infinity Championship and WOW's WOW World Championship)
In my opinion the most important thing for a wrestling title is that it looks like an accolade, that it looks like something people would want to win. And I think that all of these belt fit this criteria with some excelling but then again good looking championships are subjective (Knockouts Championship my beloved) so the important bit is that they look important and like well championships. The Diva's Title doesn't look like a championship, it looks like a really bad accessory.
Ok let's zoom in for a second and compare the diva's title to one of these other title, and because I have the most history with it, let's pick the TNA's Knockouts Championship. Okay first off while I know that cagematch isn't always the best place, I'd like to mention that it rates the Diva's title at 2.62 and the Knockouts one at 7.91. And now let's compare some reviews of these belts.
"Not as good as the women's title and division and never liked the look of the diva's belt. The division is too much about eye candy and not enough hardcore action. There are no true HC matches such as ladder, cage, TLC or no holds barred matches. Also tired of seeing the black divas used as jobbers and think Naomi should have a reign as divas champ and Alicia should have a second reign. Only one black woman has held the title so far in it's history which is not right in my view."
"A very poor championship. The very design of the belt itself represents inferiority and relegates the belt and all who hold it in limbo. It's not a representation of a true women's belt and has been designed more for a pr teen or adolescent. As the design of the belt is that of a pink butterfly. Nothing against butterflies per say but it seems to have purposely over feminized in such a way as to make it seem worth much less then every other belt on the roster. I actually find the belt somewhat offensive and do not take it seriously. There have been a lot of great women's wrestlers that have held the belt but they and the belt are so-called Divas which in my opinion marginalizes them and the title itself."
A scathing admonishing of this belt, it's role in the company and the treatment of it's women. Now compare.
"While a lot of dumb things - lockboxes, hypnotism, ect. but it is still a bright spot, especially during the 2000's period where only TNA and places like shimmer cared for woman's wrestling, and there have been plenty of fun matches for this title, still a good title, just needs some for focus on the title."
I think that the KO Belt has a higher batting average of good feuds and good matches.
Ok fun game time, Name a good Diva's title match.
Ok sorry that was a bit hard, Name a good Diva's title feud.
Maybe you could, but I couldn't. And that's part of why this Title was sh*t (wow I've said sh*t a lot in this post) I can't name a single good thing to come out of it...maybe Paige Vs AJ...maybe Paige Vs Charlotte excluding the really uncomfortable reference to Charlotte's dead brother. Also it's design and name do a lot of work to undermine the women who held it, but I think you knew that already. It's important to mention though. They didn't call them 'women', they f*cking called them 'divas'
In conclusion, I have talked about the Diva's title for far too long and would like to stop. At least things are a bit better now. A bit.
This has been Undisputed Queer-a.
Slay The System, Shock The Cis-tem, and see you next Monday.

tw// mentions of racism, redface and blackface //
I’m so sick of this s**t I knew WWE was infamous for their s****y blackface promos
But having white people use a Native American stereotype as a f**king gimmick is just adding on to the list of s**t they’ve done wrong.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lot of people are going to be like “well it happened a long time ago and it was during a time where people didn’t know any better so it doesn’t matter” no it does matter because it’s f**king wrong.
Redface should not be celebrated and Native Americans shouldn’t be looked at as just a f**king gimmick but rather as an entire race of people.
Now let’s celebrated wrestlers that were actually Native American and successful in the WWE.
Tumblr media
Princess Victoria, a Native American activist who has stated that due to the WWE’s lack of medical care for their wrestlers she is now disabled and sometimes has to use a wheelchair to get around.
Her and Velvet McIntyre were some of the first women to be recognized for holding the WWF Women’s Tag Team Championship belts.
Tumblr media
Wahoo McDaniel was a 5-time NWA United States Champion and a football linebacker.
Wahoo was inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in the class of 2019.
(The fact that Strongbow who wasn’t Native American, got in before him just says a lot about the WWE’s priorities)
Tumblr media
Tatanka who was the first Native American to get a title-shot for the WWE Intercontinental championship and is also known for an undefeated streak higher than Goldberg’s.
(The fact that he never held a single damn title in his WWE reign just pisses me off)
Tumblr media
Jack and Gerald Brisco, Jack Brisco was the first Native American to win the NCAA Wrestling National Championship and the first NWA National Heavyweight Champion after defeating Terry Funk in a tournament, him and his brother Gerald were multi-time NWA tag team champions.
Both were inducted in the WWE Hall of Fame in the class of 2008.
Tumblr media
Chief Jules Strongbow, (Jay’s Kayfabe brother who was actually Native American) was the first Native American man to hold the WWF World Tag Team Championship.
Tumblr media
Mickie James, won the WWE women’s championship 5 times and the Diva championship once during her tenure, she is currently on her 5th reign as TNA knockouts world champion.
She also made history for her royal rumble appearance last year for being the first woman to enter the rumble while wrestling for another company at the time, she even brought the TNA Knockout championship with her and entered with her TNA theme.

Note
So after last night looks like both the NXT and WWE Womens Tag Team championship are dead and all I can think is “wasted potential.” That’s why I always applaud IMPACT for treating their Knockouts Tag and World titles important and respect and not an after thought.
In TNA/Impact it took a while for women to gain steam but they ultimately got it before WWE did. They've had some ups and downs through the years but now I'd say it's stronger than ever before over there.
I'm not ready to give up on those Women's Tag Titles for NXT just yet. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks because Roxanne still has hers and last night could still just be for story effect. It's certainly art imitating life though.

iMPACT!
April 18th 2024
The current TNA Digital Media Champion, Tenille Dashwood, is walking backstage and couldn’t be any happier. After a jam packed week last week that featured eight matches in seven days, Dashwood came out with a very impressive 6-2 record but most importantly, still the Digital Media Champion. Just when Dashwood was thinking everything was going right, she gets brought crashing back down to earth when she is approached by another champion. The TNA Knockouts World Champion, Jordynne Grace.
“Tenille, Tenille, Tenille. Congratulations. You’ve had one hell of a run as TNA Digital Media Champion. Much more successful than I, or anybody else for that matter, ever could have expected. Well done. I mean it. But… I assume you remember a little while ago when you came to me and asked for a favour? A certain Pick Your Poison type favour? Yeah? It’s time to repay that favour.” Grace gives Dashwood a slight ego boost, not that she needed it, before revealing her true intentions. She wants something.
“You want me to fight someone? Okay. Never expected you to be asking for someone’s help, but I can do that. Who do you have in mind?” The ego boost obviously worked as Dashwood doesn’t even question the favour being returned and is seemingly ready to take on anyone that Grace might need help with. Grace has other ideas with her blunt response. “You.” Grace responds with a stone face, giving nothing away to the visibly confused Australian. “Me?” Dashwood questions, not understanding how she is going to fight herself.
“You. Or more specifically, the TNA Digital Media Championship that I once held, and would very much like to hold once again. Now, I know you have a title defense tomorrow night but should you retain… Rebellion. Jordynne Grace vs. Tenille Dashwood for the TNA Digital Media Championship.” With the challenge laid out by Grace, Dashwood is suddenly nowhere near as eager to compete and in record time starts to backtrack.
“I’d love to, but it’s so short notice that I’m not sure the graphics guys would have enough time to…” Dashwood begins making excuses that might have been valid twenty years ago, but not in this day and age. Sure enough, Grace doesn’t buy it and quickly cuts Dashwood off. “Tenille. I’ve already spoken with Gail. The match is happening. You should be more careful about who you ask favours of. See you Saturday… maybe.” Grace roughly pats Dashwood on the shoulder as she walks off, leaving the Australian with a very different outlook than that of only a few minutes earlier.

ANarChY (c) vs MK Ultra - MPW World Tag Team Championships
In one of the most shocking moments from Hell on Earth, ANarChY escaped with the World Tag Team Championships around their waists, and promised to fight anybody who wanted to step up to them a chance to prove it wasn't a fluke. Their first test is going to be a toughie, as ANarChY defends their titles against the reigning IMPACT - soon to be TNA - Knockout Tag Team Champions, MK Ultra, the team of Killer Kelly and Masha Slamovich.
As ANarChY turn around to pass off their titles, Masha and Kelly attack them from behind! Masha kicks Matsumoto out of the ring as Kelly corners VIOLET with a Pump kick. She grabs VIOLET, pulling her out of the ropes, and hits a bridging German suplex for a quick steal!
1… - Kickout!
VIOLET escapes just before the two count, but the challengers have a big lead in the opening moments here. Kelly makes the tag to Masha to keep things fresh. Kelly lines VIOLET up, and nails her with a penalty kick! Violet can barely sit back up after that one, but as she does, Masha nails her on the back of the skull with a big dropkick! Masha covers to win the titles!
1… 2 - Kickout!
Trying to wear VIOLET down with a chinlock, Masha seems to revel in the misery of her opponent as our lively Pittsburgh crowd tries to will VIOLET back into this. Violet fights back to her feet, and breaks free with a jumping snapmare! Violet drops into a split to deliver the move, and charges at Masha, going for a hip attack, but Masha rolls out of the way and in front of Violet, nearly taking her head off with a big running knee! Masha beats Violet down, but she isn't satisfied with just that. Taking a short stroll around the ring, Masha tears off the black tape encasing her hand before kneeling back down over Violet, and punching her with her bare knuckles!
When she's done, she grabs Violet by the hair to draw her towards MK Ultra's end of the ring, but Violet fights back with some well placed forearms. Violet reaches out for Matsumoto, needing to tag out, but Masha grabs her from behind and tosses her back with a German suplex. Masha kicks Violet into the corner and tags out to Kelly. Kelly comes into the ring and stomps on Violet, kicking her down some more before tagging Masha back in. Just as Kelly did, Masha stomps Violet down some more before tagging back out to Kelly. They repeat this cycle for one more turn before Masha tries to pry Violet out of the ropes, but eats a back elbow to the side of the jaw! Masha is stunned, but she doesn't let Violet get too far before rolling her up, and stomping her into the mat!
Killer Kelly back inside the ring, but she meets the business end of a boot from VIOLET. Kelly gets dropped on the ropes as Violet finally makes the tag to Matsumoto. Matsu comes in off the ropes, picking up steam - and hits a tiger feint kick on Killer Kelly?! Holy shit! We've never seen something like that from them before! It seems Matsu is extra agile tonight, as they punctuate the kick with a slingshot elbow drop, looking to retain!
1… 2… Kickout!
Matsumoto goes for aN Irish whip, but Kelly clings to the ropes and rolls to the outside. A little flustered, Kelly needs a break, and Masha hops down to talk some strategy. While they've gelled together quite well in their short tag team run, they're still working out some of the kinks, including watching each other's backs, as Matsumoto sets Violet up for a catapult, Violet wiping out MK Ultra! She throws Kelly back inside the ring and climbs to the top rope. Meanwhile, Matsumoto sends Kelly through a tilt a whirl backbreaker, holds her in place, and Violet finishes Kelly off with a Meteora! Matsumoto covers!
1… 2… Kickout!
Matsumoto picks Kelly up, but Kelly drops down and scurries under Matsu to make the tag to Masha. Slamovich enters the ring with a wolf series of kicks, knocking Matsumoto back before she turns around and clotheslines Violet off the apron. Slamovich turns back around and cracks a spinning heel kick against Matsumoto's head, knocking them down a peg, and literally down to a knee. Masha rears back, and NAILS a HUGE roundhouse kick to the head, Matsumoto might be out!
1… 2… Broken up!
Violet makes the save, but Masha quickly disposes of her. Masha cracks her jaw as she stares Matsumoto down, sizing them up, and nails them with a big forearm! Masha thought she had it in the bag, but she's willing to go pound for pound with The Machine. Matsumoto throws back a heavy forearm, but Masha prevails, the two quickly dissolving into a slugfest that Matsumoto gets the better of, knocking Masha back with a MASSIVE forearm, nearly punching the soul right out of her body! The crowd lets out a unanimous pained echo as Masha falls back, her eyes far gone. Violet is primed and ready on the apron, both members of ANarChY charging towards Masha for a body splash and enzuigiri combination - but Masha moves out of the way, and Violet hits Matsumoto right in the face!
As Masha knocks Violet to the floor with a roundhouse kick, Kelly drives Matsu into the turnbuckles with a butterfly suplex! MK Ultra paces the ring before they size Matsumoto up, and nails them with in-stereo buzzsaw kicks! They could be out cold! Do we have new champions already?!
1… 2… Broken up!
Violet saves the fairytale room, keeping their match alive, but Kelly has Violet in her cross hairs. Leg coming up, Kelly goes for a powerful roundhouse - but Violet ducks! Kelly kicks Slamovich in the head, knocking out her own tag team partner! Kelly goes after Violet, but Violet knocks her down with the End of Everything, as Matsumoto lifts Masha up for the Skull Fuck! It's over!
1… 2… 3!
"Here are your winners, and. STILL MPW World Tag Team Champions, ANarChY!"
ANarChY retain over a very game MK Ultra, but ANarChY reigns supreme tonight in Pittsburgh!
Violet grabs their titles from the referee, but before she can even turn around, she's kicked in the face -
BY ANGELINA LOVE?!
VIOLET just ate a Botox Injection from Angelina, but why?!
A big smirk is on Angelina's as she stands above Violet, the crowd coming alive at the sight of her, but unsure of what her intentions are, and what business she has with ANarChY. Whatever it is, Angelina is starting to question if she made the right choice, as she's face to face with a steaming Matsumoto. Angelina backs up, trying to talk Matsu out of ripping her face off… when someone else slides into the ring!
It's Velvet Sky, and she clocks Matsumoto in the back of the head with one of the MPW Tag Championships! Matsumoto drops to their hands and knees, as The Beautiful People start beating them up! The crowd goes from a surprised cheer to outright booing them. Velvet lifts Matsumoto up, and puts them down with a Russian Leg Sweep, as Angelina nails them with a bicycle kick!
After disposing of the champions, The Beautiful People look down at their discarded titles, and pick them up off the mat. Angelina leans over VIOLET, "You hear me, you little Barbe wanna be? We are smarter than you, we are prettier than you and we are taking the MPW World Tag Team Championships, bitch."
Angelina and Velvet raise the titles over their own heads, before letting them drop onto ANarChY, and leaving the ring. It seems challengers ar
e coming from all corners to get a shot at MPW gold, and ANarChY's reign could be short lived!
