Thoughts on/during Mochi Mayhem? I'm curious. Especially towards the... memetic dance scene(s).
I LOVED IT!!!!
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet really put me in the "I wanna be a kid doing stupid dumb goofy things with my friends" vibes and Mochi Mayhem really delivered! everyone coming over to the player's house and hanging out at the start and the whole finding the remote mini quest at the community center really got to me. We're just a couple of kids doing kid things!!
Also the fact that Arven says Clicker like an old man means so much to me. We really are siblings.
SPEAKING OF ARVEN
He knocked it out of the PARK during Mochi Mayhem being just??? So funny??? Like, he's so pushy about being the player's one and only Best Friend
And he's so agro at Kieran over it to the point of ending the epilogue apologizing for it... But Kieran didn't even notice because he's so use to his sister being agro at him like that???
Also the fact that he has just enough control while mind controlled by Pecharunt to be embarrassed by the stupid dance dskgjdfjgjdfh Hysterical
There's a lot of other really silly moments that got to me very personally, like how much everyone calls out Nemona for being entirely too much, or just the implication that the three of them were hanging out without me, implying they've all become friends as well really gets to me
I don't like the paid DLC direction Nintendo is going in, but this is the best Pokemon Game post DS Era in my opinion, even if with the DLC it's more than double the price of a DS era Pokemon game with about the same amount of content...
But yeah! I really liked the Epilogue! I had a great time, I loved seeing everyone getting to have a fun time and being silly, I ADORE Pecharunt to no end, and am super happy to have Kieran back in the club room finally!

//Mentioned this detail on a Disc server and I'm slapping it down here since it's technically canon for Lambda's universe?
Lambda's universe does have aliens in it! Kind of. Aliens do exist in the universe, but they're very far away from Earth itself. And the reason for that is because some time in Earth's history, aliens did land on the planet, happened to land a really bad time, took one look at the place and basically just said "This place is terrible. 0/5 stars." and skedaddled.
So Earth is kind of avoided by a better part of the universe for the most part since it's been slapped with a terrible reputation and regular checkups on the planet haven't really helped it in the slightest. Any extraterrestrial that wants to go to Earth is usually shot down with "You want to go to Earth?! OH HELL NO. THAT PLANET IS FULL OF BARBARIANS ARE YOU KIDDING ME? NO I DON'T CARE HOW NICE SOME OF THE PEOPLE ON THAT PLANET ARE, YOU'RE NOT GOING THERE" and or getting booed for bringing it up.

gimme ur javey headcanons or i’ll make your kneecaps into soup <333
-🦡
do it you wont-
jk anyways
uuhhhh, so werid thing but not bc there the same people (kinda) I mostly ship Javid bc 1992sies is my life rn, and ONES JUST AN ARTIST AND THE OTHER IS A COWBOY
so if everything seems weird or anything, stab me
1992sies-
David finds Jack extra cute with his cowboy hat on
Their first kiss happened on David's fire escape while Jack was walking him home
Sarah saw it happen while she was looking for David to see if he was close to home
Sarah is so happy for them and gossip to Blink and Spot about this they lowkey girlboss and have tea parties
David is a blushing mess when coming in and Sarah smiles at him
Les asked if David was alright and all David could do was blush harder
When they have birthdays Jack always gets David a book or a new shirt (BECAUSE THIS BITCH WILL SAVE EVERY PENNY)
David would get him more dime novels and even a well-illustrated poster of cowboys (Sarah and Les chipped in even if David didn't want them too)
On a snowy day in New York everyone is playing but David is there looking at each Newsie UNTIL JACK CHUCKS A SNOWBALL AT DAVID and they have a snowball fight
Tumbler looks to Skittery and says " Skits, mom and dad are fighting again"
It's now like a playful civil war, UNTIL SPOT COLON COMES IN AND HELPS RACE WHO IS ON DAVIDS SIDE, JACK TEAM DIES
Jack learns about Hanukkah and ask questions
David's mom and Sarah all make the Newsies quilts each with something resembling the newsie its given too
All the newsies try to find something for them, they all pitch in to get Sarah and Ester a new dress, Myer a new razor, and Les a stuffed dog
Jack and David stay up all night talking while the windows open, either in the lodge or at David's house
On thanksgiving the whole Jacobs family makes a meal for all them AND the Newsies
David sometimes has to stay at home while his parents take Les to see their grandparents so he invites Jack over while Sarah goes spend time with Katherine
If his parents are out more than 1 day Sarah and him each get a day for the house all to themselves with their partners
OK NOW FOR JAVEY BC IDK WHAT IM DOING
Jack ofc draws Davey all the time
He even drew the whole family once
Sometimes they skip an hour or two to walk in the park
Once Jack dared Davey to climb a tree and he did,,,but he fell after word
Jack wouldn't stop apologizing Davey just kissed him to shut him up
Jack would invite Davey to see Medda and drink tea with her
Davey would discuss different scenes that Jack could paint while at this
They first kissed up on Jacks penthouse
Crutchie walked/climbed in on them the first time and called to Race who owed him a quarter because he was right to bet that Davey would kiss first
Jack found out how to make flower crowns
Davey was taught by Sarah how to press them in a notebook
He looks at said notebook when he misses Jack (mostly at night when he can't sleep)
Davey tries to teach Jack how to dance
He fails a lot but at least he can dip Davey and kiss him
He also tries to teach Jack how to read better
Well he dose to most of the Newsies but like Albert and Elmer they need extra time to learn
Jack has many issues so dose Davey so they both help each other
And they have new ways to help each other all the time

I finished Thaleia, and I have FeelingsTM about it-- (ft. MSQ pics)
It hits incredibly different if Oschon is your deity. You don't get a good chance to connect or be close with the other gods, and the parting is bittersweet, but with Deryk, especially as a solo player? You see yourself. A lonely wanderer reflecting on their long journey and everything that has lead up to it. And not just any wanderer; he's watched over you even when you were alone, like him.
You get to sit down with him and return to the places where it all started. The Bramble Patch. Limsa Lominsa. And quietly reflect on what it means to both be free and away from others, as the Traveler and the Wanderer.
FFXIV is a game that you need friends to play with. That much is clear. The journey is irreparably different if you speed through it without connecting with your fellow players and experiencing Eorzea as it was meant to be by others' sides. This was a mistake I made early on in my curiosity to know the game, and one that left me rather bereft in my endgame with no one to know of my adventures. In this, I felt a kinship to Deryk's struggle, unable to truly connect with others and left to wait for the time to finally return to the star. I didn't experience the same magic as others could on their own personal journeys across Eorzea, but the game reminded me that it was never too late have that journey again.
There will always be the joy of meeting and the sorrow of parting. No matter how lonely the soul.
