Karen x Tracy

Karen hated when Ed was in space. The vast blackness of space seeped into her nightmares, turning the jungle and the cat darker and more deadly.

It was a little better when Gordo was with Ed. Tracy and the boys would stay after all the other wives left for home. She’d climb into bed with Karen after banishing the boys to Shane’s room, loose and giggling from whatever she drank.

The nightmares came. They always did. Not even Tracy’s presence could drive them away.

But when Karen woke, gasping, she could reach out and grasp Tracy’s hand. Some nights, Tracy would wrap her arms around Karen’s waist, her warmth against her back driving out the terror. And other nights, Tracy’s hand would find its way under Karen’s nightgown and drive out all thoughts - thoughts of Ed, thoughts of death, thoughts of the boys down the hall.

Those nights, when Karen fell back asleep, she no longer dreamed.

And If It's Not Okay... is my post-season 2 fix-it fic I've been working on for a couple months now. I couldn't stand the way s2 ended! 😭💔 But bc I'm writing a "fix it," that will change a lot of things that happened in seasons 3 & 4, which I'm super excited about writing! I have 21 chapters of this one up on Ao3 so far & LOTS more to come!!!

Confined is a "missing scene" I've started writing for the 1x07 "Hi Bob" ep. Basically, it's what happened in the time between when Ed confined Gordo to the Jamestown base & when we see them again 15 days later when Dani is trying to fix the Bob tape. I haven't posted anything from this one yet.

Holder is smitten by a fellow detective and so he does all of your paperwork at your request. Linden confronts Holder about this behavior but Holder deflects it. When he goes to ask you out, you reject, leaving a heartbroken Holder.

hey FAM fandom, let's make some fanworks and make the world better too!

@fandomtrumpshate is a pan-fandom fanworks auction that raises money for good causes: environmental protection and restoration, trans rights, support for people leaving hate groups, resources for people seeking abortions, advocacy for disabled people, and much more.

Over the past seven years, thousands of fans have joined forces through the auction to raise nearly $240,000 for a variety of small progressive nonprofits.

so how does this work?

There are two steps:

Fan creators sign up to offer fanworks in exchange for donations. As a creator, you'll be able to say what you would (and wouldn't) be able and willing to create: not just fanwork type, but themes and ships and genre tropes that you're excited about (or uncomfortable with.) You'll also be able to specify which of this year's supported nonprofits you want your fanwork to support (though you always have the option of letting your bidder choose among any of them.) You can offer to create up to three different fanworks, and for up to three different fandoms for each offer. Creator signups are open now, and they run until Feb 19th. You can sign up here!

Fans bid competitively for the opportunity to give those creators a specific prompt. If you win an auction, you will make a donation to one of the organizations selected by the creator whose auction you've won. Once you've done that, you and your creator can start talking about the fanwork they will create for you! Bidding will run from March 5th - March 9th.

Last year, there was one (1) FAM fanwork offered in the auction (by me.) I'm pretty sure we can blow that number out of the water together.
