Spotlight: Stunticons - Menasor (Pages 21 & 22)
Originally posted on January 28th, 2012

wada sez: At last, the big reveal! The Stunticons are trapped in their own minds, thanks to the inhibitor programs installed by the Contructicons. With the force of will needed to dominate, Motormaster has ended up commanding the gestalt, overcoming the usual self-doubt that cripples combiners. The Autobots fighting Drag Strip are revealed to be some aspect of the minds of his teammates, with the specific identities matching up with the cartoon episode “Masquerade”, where the Autobots posed as the Stunticons. The voice heard by Breakdown is revealed to be that of the Constructicons, discussing the experiment from the outside. Evidently, Sterling Gee did not get the memo that Marshall was using the Generation 2 color scheme for Sideswipe. Note that in the second part HdE has rendered Menasor’s dialogue boxes using little squares with the team members’ colors, in contrast to Motormaster’s normal speech boxes; I wonder if this is meant to imply that the other team members have influenced the combiner after all? I also wonder if the idea is that the name “Menasor” is a portmanteau of the insults “Menace” and “Monster” heard by Motormaster in his pages.

All the booze in all the gin-joints in this crazy world
Bruce Sterling Jan 22, 2019 9:04 AM
*Boy, they drink a lot in the classic movie "Casablanca." Granted, they've all got plenty to drink about, but gee whiz.
*I tried to keep up while watching. I had to do some research.
“CASABLANCA,” a classic movie set in a number of cafes and bars
Wine – English couple in the opening scene are drinking wine at the outside cafe when robbed by a sly pickpocket.
Cocktail – A desperado is waiting, waiting, waiting and drinks while lamenting that he will never get out of Casablanca.
Cocktail – Man tries to negotiate a passage out of Casablanca.
Wine – Man buys passage on a fishing vessel
Wine – Women trying to get more money for jewels
Cocktail – Englishmen are served by Sascha in Rick’s bar, and toasting cheerio.
Wine – Women gambling at Rick's while drinking
Champagne glass (already empty) – In front of Rick as he is toying with a chess problem
Wine – Ugarte drinks while bargaining with Rick.
Brandy (Boss’s Private Stock) – Sascha serves the good stuff to the spurned Yvonne, because Yvonne is Rick’s private stock.
Brandy – Captain Louis Renault drinks at Rick’s. He's a steady customer, since the bar also has loose women.
Brandy – the Italian Fascist Captain Tonelli drinks while harassed by Lieutenant Casselle in Rick’s.
Brandy – Rick gives some free brandy to Renault in Rick's office.
Veuve Cliquot 1926 – The top French champagne that Renault recommends to Strasser as the Nazi crassly gobbles caviar.
Wine – Ugarte has a glass when arrested
Wine – Resistance member Berger drinks wine at the bar as Laszlo and Ilsa walk into Rick’s.
Cointreaux – Laszlo orders two for himself and Ilsa as their first of many drink orders in Rick’s.
Champagne – Captain Renault orders “a bottle of the best” when invited by Laszlo to join him and Ilsa at their table.
Champagne Cocktail – Laszlo orders one as he joins Berger to conspire at the bar.
Champagne Cocktail – Renault orders for himself and Laszlo at the bar as Berger flees.
Champagne – Renault orders some for Rick when Rick joins the Laszlo party.
Bourbon – Rick drinks American bourbon to console himself for his former mistress Ilsa somehow walking into his gin-joint, of all the gin-joints in the world.
Champagne – Rick opens a bottle of champagne in Ilsa’s flashback room in their happy liaison in Paris.
Wine – Rick and Ilsa drink in Paris at the Cafe Pierre.
Champagne – Rick, Ilsa, and Sam hastily guzzle three bottles of Mumm Cordon Rouge as the Nazis occupy Paris.
“The Bourbon” – Ferrari demands his special bourbon in his own bar, the Blue Parrot, when Rick arrives to negotiate. Somehow, Rick refuses the bourbon, saying he never drinks in the morning.
Wine – The pickpocket toasts another sucker in Rick's before he robs him.
Brandy – Rick is drinking heavily on the second night in his club and Renault joins him for a brandy.
French 75s – The cocktail Yvonne orders when she comes in as the brand-new floozy of a German officer. A “French 75” is an American drink named after a caliber of French artillery in World War One.
Recipe of the “French 75” cocktail 2 oz French cognac 5 oz of chilled champagne 1.5 oz lemon juice 1 tsp. superfine sugar
Champagne – Strasser and fellow German officers are joined by Renault while living it up for the second night in Rick’s.
Brandy – Carl serves brandy to the Leuctags to salute their escape to America.
Brandy – Rick offers brandy to Annina (Bulgarian refugee girl) as she prepares to prostitute herself to Renault to save herself and her husband.
Cognac – Laszlo orders for himself and Ilsa the second night in Rick’s.
Brandy – Rick continues drinking recklessly at his own bar.
Champagne – After the publicly defiant singing of the Marseillaise, Lazslo and the French officers toast the humiliation of the Germans.
Champagne – Ilsa and Rick drink in Rick's room the second night.
Whisky – Rick doses Laszlo with medicinal whisky after Laszlo gets roughed-up while escaping a police crackdown on the Resistance.
Vichy Water – Renault pours himself a non-alcoholic drink of this after Rick has shot Strasser, but in a symbolic act drops Vichy into the trash.

More Green Rain
Tumblr media
Not gonna lie, that's an ominous way to start the day. Also, I loved the green hue on everything. Added to the eeriness in a lovely way.
I did not go into the Green Rain event for SDV 1.6 blind. Much like Callie, I like spoilers. However, in the various posts I've seen about it, I've yet to see someone talk about some of the modded NPCs reactions. I don't have everyone's, but I did grab a handful that stood out to me.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If I recall correctly, Keahi had a similar reaction to Philip, though he was far more hopeful.
Mr. Aguar took a tack similar to the Wizard in reassuring Callie...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Gee, thanks. So grateful for your concern.
But my absolute favorite response of any of the modded NPCs is this one, hands down:
Tumblr media
Same, Olivia. Same.
All my 1.6 playthrough posts can be found here. If you're curious about Callie's 1.5 relationships with Sterling and Shane, look here for an ongoing series about her first year.

Triassic stem caecilian supports dissorophoid origin of living amphibians
Ben T. Kligman, Bryan M. Gee, Adam D. Marsh, Sterling J. Nesbitt, Matthew E. Smith, William G. Parker & Michelle R. Stocker
Abstract
Living amphibians (Lissamphibia) include frogs and salamanders (Batrachia) and the limbless worm-like caecilians (Gymnophiona).
The estimated Palaeozoic era gymnophionan–batrachian molecular divergence suggests a major gap in the record of crown lissamphibians prior to their earliest fossil occurrences in the Triassic period.
Recent studies find a monophyletic Batrachia within dissorophoid temnospondyls, but the absence of pre-Jurassic period caecilian fossils has made their relationships to batrachians and affinities to Palaeozoic tetrapods controversial.
Here we report the geologically oldest stem caecilian—a crown lissamphibian from the Late Triassic epoch of Arizona, USA—extending the caecilian record by around 35 million years. These fossils illuminate the tempo and mode of early caecilian morphological and functional evolution, demonstrating a delayed acquisition of musculoskeletal features associated with fossoriality in living caecilians, including the dual jaw closure mechanism, reduced orbits and the tentacular organ.
The provenance of these fossils suggests a Pangaean equatorial origin for caecilians, implying that living caecilian biogeography reflects conserved aspects of caecilian function and physiology, in combination with vicariance patterns driven by plate tectonics.
These fossils reveal a combination of features that is unique to caecilians alongside features that are shared with batrachian and dissorophoid temnospondyls, providing new and compelling evidence supporting a single origin of living amphibians within dissorophoid temnospondyls.

STMPD Recommends Bubblegum Crisis Fanfiction - Resources: The Licensed Bubblegum Crisis RPG Books
No. Not my own RPG. That's... in a state of transition. I broke a bunch of stuff in it and will probably need to get back to it someday to fix it. Not high on my priority list.
And no, not the Shadowrun Second Edition Partial Conversion drafted up by Neo No Armor Against Fate's Shawn Hagen. Apparently Shawn maintains that his RPG conversion is better, said he was able to dissect the combat easily on Usenet back in the day. And he might very well be right in terms of mechanics, except, oh, wait, probably not, because it's Shadowrun, amirite folks?
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'll be here all week.
No, I don't claim to make any defenses for the BGC RPG as an RPG book, and I'll explain what I mean in a bit. I will, however, argue that these sterling little books, published in the two years before R. Talsorian went dormant for nearly two decades (cyberpunk 3.0 notwithstanding), are hands-down the best 'guides' to Crisis 2032 you could ever want. If you're writing fiction in 2032, and maybe you're pressed for ideas, I say give these three books, each shorter than the last, a read...
Which you can do electronically, for free, right here.
This is going to take awhile, isn't it? Well, yeah, we're talking a few hundred pages of small-font text and some really good settei (concept art) serving as the pictures, some of which saw no reproduction outside Japan at all. So, like the multi-part epic rant I've had brewing in my drafts folder for the past half a year, let's break it down into sections. We'll start with
DON'T ACTUALLY PLAY BUBBLEGUM CRISIS: MEGATOKYO 2033 THE ROLEPLAYING GAME: ARU PEE GEE NO DENSETSU
For context, and this is kind of an interesting story: R.Talsorian Games, the primary publisher behind the OGBGCRPG (OG for short) made its fame on two big product lines.
First there was wargame / RPG hybrid Mekton, pioneered by Mike Pondsmith back in the eighties as a mecha fighting game, in the halycon days when most anime watchers got fansubbed tapes from conventions or were watching rebranded Voltronesques on Saturday mornings. Anime fandom as we know it, or even knew it in the nineties, just did not exist, and here's Pondsmith drawing up a whole fucking wargame to do it. The most recent edition circa the nineties was Mekton Zeta, which also had the mecha-building sourcebook Mekton Zeta Plus.
The other was Cyberpunk 2013, released in 1988, which was essentially a street level adaptation of Mekton's mechanics (called 'Interlock' 'cause all the systems could, e-hem, interlock), that got a cool sourcebook or two (including one inspired by cyberpunk classic Hardwired that was written by the novel's author) before getting a second edition in like '89 or '90. That's Cyberpunk 2020 - that's what put R.TAL on the map, that's what I wrote a shitty fanfic crossing with BGC about (It wasn't hard to do), that's what became Cyberpunk 2077, and that's also what became Cyberpunk RED once R.Tal got money from CDPR to make a new edition.
With me so far? I bet you're thinking, Kyle, "gosh and golly gee wilikers so they put their anime system together with their cyberpunk system, because all those parts interlocked just like you said, and they made Bubblegum Crisis!"
And oh, my sweet summer child, how your eyes are shut.
Yeah... So, the OG is actually run on a system called Fuzion, which blends R.Tal's loose network of systems with that of the HERO System, which is... one of those really complicated universal systems that they say can build anything and everything, was designed with a variety of advantages and disadvantages for characters to use to represent their character, and isn't GURPS. No, it was made more for a superhero RPG, I guess?
Anyway, somehow the two companies met, decided to make a joint universal system for all their work going forward, and called it Fuzion. Many other licensed games used it for awhile, people made universal themed supplements for it, but it's not in wide use anymore as far as I know.
Why? Let me see if I can explain by way of picture.
Tumblr media
Champions used 3d6. Interlock used a d10. The devs argued and argued and argued over which type the game should be balanced around, then gave the fuck up. Does that fill you with confidence, readers?
So there's this sort of... highly elaborate mishing and mashing of various elements of two very different systems such that neither comes out the better for wear. Here's R.Talsorian's Lifepath, a character-backstory generator where you roll dice to build a character (setting-agnostic, because they were trying to sell a universal system); then here's Champions's Perks and Complications, bought using those same precious campaign points you're using to buy civilian gear (but aren't your players playing as Knight Sabers? Who needs real shit to be marked when you're building hardsuits with separate points entirely?), and complications must be activated x amount of times a session even if it diverts from the fun of playing the game. And so on and so forth. Shit, even crossing Cyberpunk with Mekton doesn't always work, since blocks of damage from Mekton (Kills) scale unsteadily with the more dice-driven combat of CP. Worse still is that the mecha system and the hacking system are off in MZ+ and CP2020 respectively, so if you want to custom-build hardsuits beyond the small pool of tools you're given on the last fucking page of the book, or you want your Nene equivalent to do something useful, nyah-nyah, go buy more books.
And then I'm sure Shawn Hagen has plenty of reasons why the combat doesn't work, but we're not paying attention to him. Whatever. Let's talk about what does work, which is a mix of worldbuilding lore, stuff the R.Tal writers seemed to just sort of come up with, and a great gallery across all three books of Fucking Cool Mecha (especially BGC EX).
LORE IS SERIOUS BUSINESS FOLKS
I mean that earnestly. It's hard to get right, especially when said lore reflects upon the tone of the actual content, the plot, the franchise, whatever. But when telling stories with a licensed game, some degree of lore is, to my mind at least, incredibly mandatory. Maybe not so much for games where the story ought to be made up as one goes along (see RPG's like The Sprawl), but in the case of BGCrisis, an anime which at the time had a pretty loyal fanbase chomping at the bit for answers for their questions about the wider universe the Sabers operated in, R.TAL had to do a mix of cribbing from untranslated material, the B-Club special and all that, and making their own shit up without looking like they'd cribbed from their own work (CP2020) overmuch. The result is very uneven, but charmingly so. I almost want to say it feels more grounded than CP2020 or Shadowrun, but is that just because it's comparatively light on the ground? Perhaps. The mandatory universe timeline is one page, and focuses more on putting years to events that were already canon instead of adding extraneous stuff in.
Likewise with what the politics look like worldwide. We get a few paragraphs about how the U.S. is recovering (not collapsed as in CP2020), Japan is doing pretty good for itself as GENOM's puppet-state, Russia successfully integrated into the EU even if Eastern Europe didn't (See? Wacky shit like that can only be called charming), and China's one big North Korea (which I think is a holdover from the CP2020 Pacific Rim Sourcebook, where Deng was assassinated by Maoist radicals.) We get another dry bit about the idea of a zaibatsu lifted straight from CP2020's Corpbook 1, where Arasaka is discussed... newspapers are now faxed (look it was in BGC OVA 1 what do you want me to tell you)... on and on it goes.
I suppose I like the lore independent of the actual characters because of a few clever predictions. One is using all the cybernetics-gone-bad in AD Police Files to explain why nobody has them in the 2032 OVA, a link I sense wasn't really made concrete until this RPG. It's one of the most interesting interpretations of the source material and of cyberpunk tropes I've seen, you know, where all the splicing and dicing of the body turns out to be a fad and a failure, leaving those who bought into the trend left with butchered and failing bodies - in light of the crypto crash that seems to be dragging the stock market down back into recession / stagflation, that seems pretty classic capitalism.
The other is tied to Before And After, covering the impact of the cheap and now even more ubiquitous Boomers of Crash:
Tumblr media
I mean, what can I say? I like predictions of the future that actually consider the effects of hyper-futuristic technology in that sort of way.
That's what a lot of the RPG's lore is at its best, basically working overtime to paper in the gaps left ignored by the series' creators. So we get a nuanced look into how ADAMA is different than similarly-sentient Boomers from the ADPF OVA; we get the Largo = Mason + Boomer Messiah explanation theory that the internet came up with just a year or two prior to the RPG's publishing; we get conspiracy theory proposals about whether or not GENOM undermined the cybernetics market to replace the enhanced with Boomers; we get to see the ADP go from hotshot riot suppression force able to slaughter undesirables en masse to actively disdained by GENOM; a weird consideration of how recognizing Boomer rights could still serve GENOM's agenda... on and on and on. It's such a mishmash of ideas, beautiful because of it.
Obviously no sane RPG player would ever give a rat's ass about any of this, but again, this was a product also marketed towards fans who just wanted a good worldbuilding book. I'm not saying you should take every part of the RPG's world into your own fanfiction, but you can take a great deal of it in and things will hold up.
POWER CREEP? YEAH, I'VE GOT THE POWER, CREEP!
The actual sourcebook sections of the sourcebooks are a) the characters, and b) the mecha. That's it, that's all. Civilian gear is almost an afterthought shoved into the front of the book like it didn't need to be there, cybernetics don't show up until Before and After. For although there is a section in the corebook proposing non-Saber campaigns players can run, they're essentially permutations of the already-existing types from CP2020: Corporates, mercenaries, medias, etc. And why, I ask you, would you run anything else but your own fanmade Saber team in your home city, overgrown and under threat? Shit, RTAL even went out of their way to put a few pages in EX, the last book in the series, highlighting player campaigns with online presences (Geocities, email addresses, etc.) and describing them in brief. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for the play sessions of the guys who did Mega-Gotham...
Anyway, back on topic. Both character pages and mecha pages get a great deal of settei transposed onto these pages, concept art ripped straight from Artmic's design docs and provided, again, more as a nerd resource than anything super useful. This especially comes into play in BGC: EX, where all the concept art and mecha are instead from everything that wasn't animated. Rejected concepts for hardsuits with wheels for feet; Boomer sketches only found in old hobby magazines; scribbles one of the Crash! mecha designers tried to get in that were apparently labeled 'problematic' (I guess he was a toy designer before all this?). I unironically love all this shit, even the beam cannons mounted on a hardsuit right where the boobplates are. Shit, my Discord profile pic is a non-Boomer mecha supposedly used by the JSDF, a 'Battlemover' whose origin I have no idea about, but which looks cool as hell. That's the kind of weirdo fan I am.
My point is that if you need to spice up your fiction, throwing 'new Boomer X' at the Sabers is one thing, giving the Sabers some power-up parts you dreamed up is another, but using the designs Artmic came up with before you did is more galaxy-brained than either. Shit, I should know, it was what Craig Reed did for the fanfics that I continued off of back in the day. And it's the same with these extraneous lore details that some rando RTAL staffer dreamed up a quarter-century ago, because they beg to have an entire fanfic made about any one of them. What happened to Jeena, folks? Inquiring minds want to know.
Anyway, that's it. That's all. Read through these and be a better fan because of it.

Anyway here's a lil drabble bit based on that Twilight Zone episode idea:
Sterling or whatever his name was had finished talking moments ago. Laughter echoed in Shadow's mind, too, but it was overcome by silence now. Unease settled in his chest like rot. He glanced at Maria in his peripheral beside him, watched as the light of the screen danced across her features. Something glistened in her eye, her chest expanded shakily, and Shadow rushed to shut the television off. The click made Maria jump. Shadow sat patiently as she rubbed her eyes and pretended not to notice when she sniffled. He spun his inhibitor rings and bit the inside of his cheek, nervously.
She began to rise, cautious, and Shadow moved to stand and help her. She waved him off easily, though he didn't move his arms from where they hovered around her waist, just in case. She took care to straighten her skirt, patting it when satisfied. She cleared her throat and chuckled softly. Shadow pretended not to notice the way her voice shook, either.
"Sorry," she said. Shadow couldn't make out her expression. She took another deep, shaky breath. "Gee, it's late, huh?" Her voice was hushed. Shadow side-eyed the clock on the wall, shrugged. Maria couldn't see him, but nodded to herself anyways. "Yeah ... Yeah. I think we'd better go to bed." She mumbled, drifting, like a ghost, to lay in the bed behind them. Shadow stood and watched her for a moment, biting his cheek again to think. He went to her side without much deliberating, tucking himself awkwardly into her arms. He was growing quickly and never fit quite the same each night. Still, Maria didn't complain, combing her fingers through his quills absently. A poster of the planet hung on the wall behind her, and Shadow stared at it now, through a curtain of Maria's hair. He listened to her breath, tracking it even when it slowed in her sleep, just as he'd track it in his, and cursed the ungrateful inhabitants of the world until he, too, fell fitfully into rest.

Gee Honors WPHS, Ohio County Schools during High School Visit
Tumblr media
Wheeling Park students are leaving high school well prepared for secondary education, and that fact has not gone unnoticed by West Virginia University President Gordon Gee.   More than 40 graduates of Wheeling Park High School were members of the 2022 graduating class of West Virginia University. Four of the diplomas handed out to those Patriot graduates were listed with the distinction of “Cum Laude,” nine as “Magna Cum Laude,” and 10 were with the highest distinction of “Summa Cum Laude”   Gee said Wheeling Park is one of the strongest high schools in West Virginia academically. He said Ohio County Schools and Wheeling Park have developed many creative programs that have resulted in an outstanding academic atmosphere.   “During my tour of the newly renovated sections of the school, it was clear that every space has been designed with innovation in mind and a deep sense of pride in providing the best learning environment possible,” Gee said. “The students have a lot of options, great teachers and a great principal. Most importantly, they have a strong academic curriculum with a sterling reputation.”   Gee visited Wheeling Park High School in March where he congratulated the Patriot Speech and Debate Team on its 42nd consecutive state championship. During his visit he was also pleased to see the new robotics area, and he congratulated the robotics team on its first state championship.   “The students are serious, but they also have a lot of fun,” Gee said. “This is an important balance that serves them well as they enter college because they are very well prepared when they arrive on our campus.”   Ohio County Schools Innovation Coordinator JoJo Shay said the school system continues to improve its facilities and programs to provide the finest learning opportunities possible. She said OCS and Wheeling Park administrators and teachers are committed to preparing students for life after high school.   “The programs Wheeling Park offers afford students the opportunity to explore their interests,” Shay said. “It is all geared toward clearing the path for each student to find their passion and hone their skills toward achieving their dreams. Whether the path leads to college studies or to technical training, we strive to prepare students for the next step in their life's journey.  It is exciting to know that those who our students encounter as they leave us for the next leg of their lives can see the positive impact made by Ohio County Schools.”   Read the full article

not to be a parody of myself on main but like you know how the major dynamic of nate and sophies relationship is that nate knows her, like regardless of what she's going by or who she's pretending to be or whether it was actually Paris or Tuscany nate knows sophie.
and then I just think about sterling and the 1st david job (and also the frame up job but im kinda always thinking about the frame up job). and how he says "remember when we used to be friends" but more importantly how he says "that's how she thinks. thats how you think, and I know how you think." and like who is that second you directed at? idk cause the shot is on sterling and not the other two, and like you're probably meant to assume nate but really it's probably both of them. cause sterling knows nate and sophie just as well as they know him and when youre pitting him against a relationship who's foundation is built on the mortification of being known its like damn how are we not talking about that more.
and thats before we even think about about the frame up job
it's just like was it intentional? is it just good storytelling to have someone who knows you so intimately be against you instead of with you? is it a little bit mark s.heppards acting choices? idk man but oh boy is it something

Sterling reoccurring motif song in heartsong AU: Dont Break The Rules
ASDFGHJKL so this implies that Sterling has such strong "you all are criminals and need to just stick to the status quo (oh-woah-oh)" feelings that EVERY TIME he sees the leverage team that's what his heart song is?? He feels THAT strongly?
That's genuinely hilarious.
Nate's never surprised when Sterling's about to show up because his "gonna get that leverage team" energy is so intense Nate can hear him coming down the sidewalk.
In the Zanzibar Marketplace Job, Sterling's walking into McRory's all like:
Sterling: ♫The law is laid upon us when as kids we first ask why? Our parents set the rules when cause I said so they reply. And though I thought I hated them and screamed with all my might. The next time that I had a choice gee whiz I did what's right.♫
Nate: *groans*
Eliot: What's wrong?
Sterling: ♫Though I never snuck a drink I never stole a pack of cools, cause the game aint worth winning if you're breaking all the rules♫
Nate: Eliot, I'm gonna ask that you don't do anything violent
Eliot: What are you talking about? I only use violence as an appropriate response
Sterling: ♫Don't break the rules, or else we're livin in the wild wild west♫
Nate: Just-it's...
Sterling: ♫Don't break the rules, Gods keeping score you don't want to fail that test♫ "Hello, Nate" ♫Don't break the--♫
Sterling: *gets body slammed to the table*

Ducktales 17 Darkwing Headcanon idea 2: gosalyn meets Jim sterling
KID-NAPPED
it was another day of saint canard, gosalyn just finished school, she was waiting for drake to come pick her up.
Then as she waited she saw his purple car pulled in, she grabbed her bag and hopped in the backseat.
Gosalyn: hey
But that it wasn’t drake that picked her up.
drake: hey honey how was school
Gosalyn made a weird face when she heard how strange his voice was.
Gosalyn: good, are you okay your voice sounds different
Drake: oh yeah (fake coughs) sore throat
fortunately gosalyn felt for the imposters lie.
Gosalyn: oh well that’s nothing but a little tea and honey won’t fix
She then noticed he wasn’t wearing his regular purple shirt like he usually those.
Instead he was wearing a blue turtleneck and a purple jacket.
Gosalyn: hey i see you got a new outfit, I like it it’s way better then that same old boring shirt you wear everyday (chuckles) no offense
Drake: oh please my outfit is way better that what that HACK wears
Gosalyn: Huh?
He then pulls up a orange pip and hands it to her.
Drake: here I got you a drink
Gosalyn: oh hey thanks (gulp)
As she drinks it, the imposter adjusted the rear view mirror to reveal to be non other then Jim sterling A. K. A. Negaduck.
But for now he was Negaduck, looking at her with his crazy eyes.
Jim: no problem sweetie (evil snickering)
He was still angry at drake for stealing everything away from him, for years he’s been watching drake from underneath the sewers and when he found out that he has a daughter he knew how he was going to get his revenge….by kidnapping gosalyn.
Later drake and Launchpad came to pick gosalyn up after having to go on patrol cause a certain someone turned on the security alarm at a bank.
But when they got there, they found gosalyn nowhere to be found.
Drake: gosalyn?
He then saw a female dog teacher, he went to ask about gosalyn.
Drake: excuse but where’s gosalyn
Female Teacher: huh what do you mean, you just picked her up a minute ago
Drake: what?
Female teacher: speaking of which I like that suit you weee wearing before, that purple jacket and bule turtleneck sweater was a nice combination
He then realized who she was talking about.
Drake: ok now I remember sorry about the confusion
She nods then he marches to the car where Launchpad was leaning against, he saw how serious drake was.
Launchpad: what happened
Drake: gosalyn has been kidnapped
Launchpad was terrified when he jumped off the car.
Launchpad: what? by who
Drake: I know exactly who, get the rat catcher ready
Launchpad: ok
Launchpad dove off as drake took the secret entrance to Darkwing’s hideout.
He knew exactly who took her.
Meanwhile with gosalyn, she finished the soda but then started feeling sleepy.
Gosalyn: (yawns) hey where are we going, it feels like we been driving for hours and (yawn) I’m starting to feel sleepy
Jim: oh gee why don’t you get some sleep
And just like that she was out like a light, Jim turns around and smiles sinisterly at her.
Jim: (evil chuckles)
Tumblr media
Jim: that’s right sleep now my little puppet cause when you wake up, you’ll never wake up again (evil laughter)
While back with drake, he climbed into the sewers and when he got to his hideout, he ran upstairs to change only to find by his surprise.
Drake: (gasp)
Gosalyn asleep on the bed and sitting next besides, rubbing her back was Jim sterling as Negaduck.
Jim: shh, you don’t want to wake up the precious duckling now do ya
He turns around to face him, drake glared at him but made a worried face when he saw Jim next to gosalyn, the way he taught her boiled drake’s blood.
Jim: (evil chuckles) how does it feel to have something so important taken from you
Drake: leave her out of this, she didn’t do anything to you, this is between you and me
Jim: true…but she will pay for your mistakes
Drake then became angry, he clutches his fist and charges at Jim and attacks him.
Drake/Jim: AH
as the two fight for a couple of minutes, it woke gosalyn up.
Gosalyn: (groans)
Drake/Jim: (gasp)
They look both looked at her, making the same look.
Tumblr media
Drake/Jim: uh oh
She rubbed her eyes and still feeling sleepiness, she saw the two mallards.
Gosalyn: Darkwing is that you, you have a twin brother?
Drake: it’s just me honey go back to sleep
She then crawls back in the blankets.
Gosalyn: ok dad goodnight dad
Hearing her called him dad, had him feel a strange feeling inside, he didn’t he had.
Then him got up to her.
Jim: aw isn’t that sweet, you two must be very close (evil chuckles) it would be ashame if something would’ve happen to her
Jim was taught drake, it made him furious but he wasn’t going to let him win, then he saw Jim stroking his finger against gosalyn’s cheek, she had a distraught look and it made him snapped when he heard Jim laugh.
Gosalyn: (groaning)
Jim: (evil laughter)
Drake: (grunts) don’t you dare hurt her
He then ran to Jim and attacked him restlessly.
Jim: AH
drake: (grunts)
He wouldn’t stop until he was out or he wouldn’t hurt gosalyn anymore.
Then he finally stopped when Launchpad came in, he fist were bruised and covered in blood.
Launchpad: hey DW I-whoa what happened
He then turns around to face Launchpad.
Drake: Launchpad he him to the saint canard penitentiary
He rushes to pick up Jim while drsje washes his hands, he didn’t wanted to scar gosalyn when she wakes up.
Launchpad: what about you
Drake: I need to stay with gosalyn, she needs me
He gave Launchpad a concern and serious look, Launchpad then smiled at him.
He headed downstairs, while drake looks back at gosalyn, sleeping peacefully, he crawls into bed next to her, holding her tight.
Drake: don’t worry gosalyn, (he kisses her forehead) I won’t let anything bad happen to you ever again
