You're really indulging me here, it's appreciated haha. Since ya didn't specify which flavor of Fleshy Wallace, have both:
Wood-Cursed-with-Humanhood ("Meaty Wally")
- the beginning of the end of his years-long cat-and-rat game with Jimmy, who was able to level up his Trashy Magician skills by temporarily becoming a wooden puppet again with Slappy's assistance (Slaps was in on the "prank" part but mostly just finds mannequin Jimbo hot)
- closer to an alchemical homunculus rather than a true human, either way he's mortal and experiencing magical impotence for the first time ever because he's now made of meat, not Kanduu's coffin
- honestly between Mahar reincarnating his timber & remains as a living dummy and O'James metaphysically neutering him with an even more unnatural mortality, he's feeling targeted as fuck and spitting anti-Irish epithets that haven't been used for decades
- FURIOUS about being only 4' tall and convinced that Jimmy made him short to mock him, but the Trashy Magician isn't that skilled, Wally is just in the habit of blaming him for everything and can't stand the shoe being on the other foot for once
- easily restrained now that he lacks the supernatural strength of all his victims, or however I decide his necromantic power works--still bites and has a low centre of gravity working to his advantage, much to Jimmy's annoyance, but is also susceptible to being kicked in the crotch despite not having balls, and petty vengeance is sweeter than cake if you ask Jimmy
- off-puttingly cool for a human (think room-temp steak) in the same way his normal body is off-puttingly warm for a doll
- gets food poisoning a lot because he still eats raw meat & cat food; disappointed to learn vomiting just hurts as opposed to the quasi-climax that usually accompanies a geyser of horrible fluid
- he was always handsy with Slappy, but now he's downright cuddly--embarrassing as hell but Slaps ain't complainin ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
- HATES that he wants to ride Jimmy like a unicycle & takes all of this frustration out on Slappy wherever his slave is most likely to walk in on them--again, Slaps ain't complainin
- Jimmy eventually follows through with a long-standing threat after too many instances of waking up to Wally humping his face (old habits die hard) and transfigures him into a cat, and wouldn't you know, one of those free spay/neuter traveling clinics happens to be in the neighborhood...C'mon, be honest, what would you do? Turning him back to a human-adjacent thing results in mild body-horror-comedy (supernumerary nipples) that thoroughly revolts everyone, and once he's back to normal, Horrors Below, he's no longer got the tentacle. Do ya know how many tongues and dicks have gone into that beastly thing? Seriously, he lost count sometime in the 1950s--it's gonna take decades of hunting to get back half of what he had, and that bastard magician is starting to look pretty damn tasty.

- dislikes most animals but adores horses, even the homeliest pony turns this man to pudding; actually capable of turning on the charm when it suits him, Wallace adopts a totally different persona (& fake name) around the handful of posh equestrian chums he's manipulated over the years for the express reason of riding their horses, in truth considering these "friends" to be annoying idiots; almost gets banned from one club for wearing fringed holstein cowhide chaps he got in Texas

On the one hand it could be satisfying to play his "redemption arc" straightish by letting him grow old and mellow a bit and maybe even mature enough to have some shame when he reflects on his youthful foibles, on the other hand it's much funnier & more fitting if his last words are "Oh sod off" as a double-decker bus takes him out because he didn't look both ways before crossing the street

ANYA MAKES SPECIAL VISIT TO BRINDLETON PAWS ANIMAL SHELTER
Crown Princess Anya followed up yesterdays sweet doggy tribute with an even sweeter doggy treat today. Her Royal Highness visited Brindleton Paws Animal Shelter, of which HRH sits as Royal Patron, to check on the progress of the recently-concluded renovations to the shelter.
HRH also came with a special surprise for the shelter’s pups: a day of pampering courtesy of The Posh Paw Spa - Brindleton, and some much-needed medical evaluation from - you guessed it - Dr. Greg Evanssen a.k.a Hot Tattoo Guy Vet.

HRH was welcomed into the shelter by its director, Miss Hannah Gradiensiya, who proudly showed off the new additions to the facility including new “holding areas” - a huge improvement from the formerly-cramped cages used to house the dogs. The new areas are well-ventilated and large enough to ensure the dogs’ comfort.

HRH also teamed up with a local pet salon, The Posh Paw Spa, to give the shelter’s dogs some much-needed pampering. But perhaps more importantly, HRH’s new friend, Dr. Greg offered a helping hand and tended to the dogs in the shelter, and made sure those who needed medical intervention be given treatment real soon. Miss Grandiensiya revealed that while the shelter has vets, it can get really crowded and overwhelming sometimes, leaving them short-staffed and wanting. Miss Grandiensiya extended her thanks to HRH for brinding Dr. Greg to the centre, seeing as how the latter has reportedly agreed to do volunteer work for the shelter.

The duo’s “relationship,” despite recent rumours, is reportedly “strictly professional” and Anya is said to be very happy that she has found someone to collaborate with with her work in the field of animal care and welfare.

The Role of an Environmental Interpreter
The photo I added was my thought process in answering this week's discussion prompt. Did any one else have any similar thoughts and ideas on the responsibilities of an environmental interpreter?
To understand the role of an environmental interpreter it is important to first know what interpretation requires. Interpretation is to mediate or communicate knowledge to others in ways that stimulate one to complete independent interpretative quests. Usually, the forms of communication used by environmental interpreters are unique in that they do not simply just communicate factual information. Rather they teach and provide meaning through a variety of techniques including the use of original objects, storytelling, first-hand experience, and illustrative media. This means an environmental interpreter has one major role which is to relay information to visitors in a manner that helps them learn about the environment around them and stimulates them to find out more. Thereby, encouraging them to complete their own interpretive quests in the future.
Environmental interpreters can be found in all sorts of places such as forests, zoos, parks, wildlife rescues, commercial attractions, aquariums, camps, ships, trains, or even resorts. They may also work for the government or larger private sector businesses. Fortunately, there are many diverse opportunities available for environmental interpreters. However, not all environmental interpreter roles have to be a career position. Instead, it could be something someone volunteers to do. Personally, environmental interpretation is not something I plan to pursue as a career specifically. However, I think it is a valuable asset that you can apply to variety of other career paths or just every day life. My ideal environmental interpretation position would be a volunteer position at a wildlife rehabilitation centre, Ontario SPCA or local humane society. I have a passion for helping animals which is why I think I would be most successful in these interpretive roles. The Ontario SPCA is a registered charity that has been around since 1873. Its aim is to use its network to inform the general public about issues pertaining to animals with the hope to bring attention to animal cruelty and promote animal well-being. They offer a variety of services including community animal sheltering, animal well-being education, high volume spay/neuter services, animal rights advocacy, animal rescue and rehabilitation.
In this case, the role of these interpreters is to interact with the public, and encourage people to think differently thus, helping them reveal deeper meanings of interpretation regarding animal well-being and protection. Interpreters in this role would allow visitors to develop a deeper connection to the animals in these shelters to encourage stewardship in visitors and the general public. This is made possible by creating an environment where visitors are able to associate non-tangible feelings such as sadness and anger with an animal presented. They will make interpretation fun by using the animals to facilitate an enjoyable and unique experience. Their role is to make environmental interpretation a fun experience as it should be. It is the responsibility of environmental interpreters to use all possible mechanisms of communication to educate and inspire a broader audience. In recent times, the Ontario SPCA has increased exposure through the use of brochures, computer resources, their website, social media, blogs, and more. These informational tools will provide visitors with self-guided and open ended opportunities to further promote interest and allow people to become passionate about preventing animal cruelty. Environmental interpreters such as members of the Ontario SPCA help people better understand the environmental complexities of these animals. In doing so, they are able to persuade people to care about these animals and take on active roles in preventing future animal cruelty.
For interpretation to be successful according to Tilden, six principles must be followed. Interpretation must relate what is being presented to something within. Interpreters must understand that information is not equivalent to interpretation. Instead, interpretation is essentially a revelation that stems from information. Interpreters must understand that interpretation is a teachable skill. As well, the chief aim of interpretation is to provoke inspiration in others. Interpretation must provide the whole picture rather than just a part and information should not be diluted when presented to children. Instead, one must present the same information using a different approach.
How do you feel about Tilden’s six principles of interpretation? Do you think any more principles should be added? If so what do you think a seventh or eighth principle should be?
Personally, I think there should be a principle that mentions that in nature interpretation information should be provided in a way that is stimulating and fun for visitors. I think that is worth mentioning because it is part of what makes interpretation different from education or standard information relay. For example, if I would be advocating for animal rights. Bringing a cute dog or cat with me could help keep people interested in what I have to say.
The roles and responsibilities of an environmental interpreter are largely centered around the visitor’s experience. To provide individuals with a good experience even at places like the Ontario SPCA, interpreters should be skilled in all aspects of the TORE method provided by Sam Ham. Environmental interpreters should be skilled at providing information using a thematic approach and maintaining focus on the main message. They should be skilled in organization to be able to provide structure and meaning to their interpretation. Interpreters must be skilled at tailoring their interpretive approach to their audience. This may be in regards to age, learning styles, moral development, or even intelligence level. As well, they should be skilled at creating an enjoyable experience for their audience.

I think the ability to be personable is worth mentioning. I find people with those types of personalities are often better at making connections and relating to other people. This can help them be more successful at encouraging people to care and take on an active role to complete their own interpretational quests. If someone was advocating for animal rights, I would be more likely to listen or talk to them if they seem warm, inviting and encourage interaction.

Helping animals during the Covid-19 Crisis.
During this time of uncertainty and fear, we want to highlight a few ways that we can help each other and the animals we care about, without putting anyone at risk. Sadly all of our centres around the world have temporarily stopped taking volunteers - so the ways we can help won't involve travel at this time. This is about all of us pooling our collective resources to help the animals we all love so much.
Many of the conservation and domestic animal centres that we support have volunteer donations as their main source of income. The hands-on work of the volunteers means programs can run, that animals are being cared for, that conservation efforts can go forward. It also frees up the time of staff, scientists and veterinarians so that they can do specialized work such as providing medical support to the animals or working on conservation research. The volunteer fees help buy things like food and medication, fund the rescue and release of wildlife, fund spay and neuter programs and other essential work. In this completely unprecedented time with no volunteers at these centres (both now and for the foreseeable future) our partners are at a loss as to how to operate. Their work continues - there are locals on the ground who are leading these efforts and they have some contingency funds. But if we don't support them in this time of need the consequences will be disastrous. Animals in the care of the centres will NOT suffer, but debts will grow and conservation and welfare groups who go out to tag wildlife, protect sea turtle nests and vaccinate dogs will have to stop. This will harm conservation efforts now and into the future.
Many of us are looking at the coming months with trepidation. But we want everyone to remember, we are all in this together and we can all help each other during these challenging times. Provide hope by making a donation to a centre where you have volunteered, or one where you are heading to in the future or dream to go one day. Every little bit will help. Any donation will remind our conservation and animal welfare partners around the world that they are not alone.
Donations are needed for our elephants and wildlife rescue centre in Thailand; our sea turtle conservation group in Costa Rica, for European dolphin conservation, Guatemalan wildlife rescue, Spanish galgo efforts, Spanish horse rescue, Southern African wildlife rehabilitation, and all the other important programs that we and our amazing volunteers support. We are all hurting and we are all a little scared, so let's spread the love today and donate to these centres who even in this crisis are animal and conservation heroes. Anonymous donor allows for the free adoption of 36 cats
The City’s Animal Care and Adoption Centre received an early visit from Santa this year.
An anonymous donor has made it possible for 36 cats to be adopted to loving homes, free of charge.
Beginning at 12 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 27 the cost of the first 36 approved cat adoptions will be covered by the anonymous donation. The shelter, located at 81 Higgins is extending its hours on Wednesday to be open to the public from noon to 6:30 p.m.
The shelter has been at capacity for a few weeks, and you can browse the cats and kittens that are up for adoption on the City’s Adoptable Pets webpage.
Each cat adoption includes:

flea treated
pet insurance
kitten care booklet
