One of my headcanons is that sea monsters enjoy manipulating things, just like otters do. I find it cute! Here is Flavio playing with some rocks ✨️

See okay so this probably isn't intentional but I like the implication of how insanely good sea monsters are at blending into the water especially from an above-the-water perspective like look at this:
You cant see Luca at ALL until he pops his head out of the water, and even then: you can only see his arm really faintly. Also, you can argue that you can't really see anything that's under the water from an above-the-water perspective that well, but this is an Italian beach on a relatively undisturbed island in the late 50's/early 60's like the water is not going to be murky (and plus it's unlikely to not see something that's only that shallow in the water, I put the Luca hand screenshot because it shows how shallow the water is where he's at)
like yeah okay this is probably just an animation thing but wheres the fun in thatttt

Has it been long enough that we can acknowledge "vagrant" (used by Ercole against Luberto) was a stand-in for the f-slur?
And this was basically a stand-in for a gay bashing

Happy Friday! I know it was a few days ago, but happy two year anniversary to my absolutely favorite Pixar film Luca! 💜💚🐟 Absolutely adore everything about the film from its characters, story, and art to pieces. Also counts as my favorite pride film.xD

Two gremlins and one bubble :3
Let's see who's old enough to get the reference 👵
Also, not totally satisfied with the final piece but I promised not to hyper obsess over any single artwork, or it'll never see the light of the internet 🥲

Screaming. Princess Luna is beloved in fandom because she represents the outcasted and the societally rejected. She represented the unorthodox, as the princess of the night in a world that revolves around the day. She represents inner desires and feelings, as the guardian of dreams. She represents being true to yourself even if it’s scary or weird to others. She’s an icon to alienated and demonised minorities.
Even in the show, the parts of her that herself and most of the world considers to be the worst, there is always that one child that connects with it. Just like how we relate and reclaim the idea of monstrosity being cool, ponies too celebrate her in their nightmare night festivals, as a symbol of the unconventional.
If fanon is filled with the rejected and outcasted and misunderstood, for those that find love in what others call cringe, then it makes sense that Luna is a fandom favourite.
